Bed bugs. Blood stained sheets. (Which were not even changed when I pointed out the bed bugs). No hot water. Long walk to restrooms. Restrooms in very poor condition. Breakfast eggs were boiled to chalk. Noisy. Terrible soundproofing.

We have booked 4 nights stay at the hostel. After very first night we noticed bed bugs. We asked the administrator to change the room. It took maybe around half an hour to notice another bed bug crawling on the bed in the new room they provided us. Me and my partner decided to change the hostel the same day. However, we were paranoid for the rest of the stay in Stockholm about those bugs. Needless to say, we were bitten and my partner had some ugly allergic reaction from those bites. I can't say much positive about the experience and the hostel itself, except that at least the administrator was kind and understanding.

Affordable room rates. Location wise is a bit far from metro if u have heavy luggage. Room is NOT ok as the wall is so thin that young traveller's made so much noise at night you could hardly sleep at night. I would not recommend to those who wanna have peace and quiet sleep to book here. As a level 8 Google reviewer, I am disappointed with the management as I have specifically requested for a quiet room but was given a noisy room.

I have a trained service dog (seizure dog) which I need with me all the time. The hostel did not allow me to bring him. Again, he is not a normal pet. He is a much needed medical tool. My life depends on his work. So their act is against the law.

Owner was always bad towards us and started talking to us like we were animals. Snapped his fingers in our faces trying to be tough. Very bad rooms. bed bugs, dirty towels, room we got had no door handle on the bathroom, tv didn't work properly and place had very thin walls and you could hear everything.

Our room was in basement with 2cm window (picture) that didnt give light or air only noises from the street. We had no air in the room and it was really warm inside although outside it was only 13 degrees. Before going there I email hostel and ask if i need to take hair dryer and they write back its available on reception desk. When i need it i ask on reception that all 5 are taken by the guests so as soon as somebody give it back they will bring me it. After 2h waiting i went to reception desk but it was close. It was 21.25 and reception should be open to 22.00 but it was already close. After 22 there was a guy taking care of hostel at night i asked him if he can check were the hair dryiers can be so i can ask for it - he didnt speak english but keep on showing me he dont know and telling "tomorrow, tomorrow". I understand its not hostel fault ppl do not return things but they can take room number when giving hair dryer so they know where to find it when its needed... In ladies bathroom there was 4 showers but only 2 had curtain. There was also not enought space for all guests to eat breakfast every day.

Good breakfast. Everything worked. Shared bathrooms could have been a little bit more clean. Rooms were fine, but pictures on booking looked somehow nicer. Quality corresponds to the prize.

The first night we discovered bedbugs and called right away. We were told there was no other hotell we could stay for the night(false) and that the pest controll would come on monday, since they were closed in the weekends. They would then close the room for a week and cancel the guest who were supposed to sleep there, since it was full. The morning after we found out they gave our room to somebody else, while we got a new one. Our first night was refunded. And the rest of the stay was okay, except the bathroom smelled like mold. When we checked out we were told that the pest control came there on sunday (when there were other people slaying there and they were allegedly closed) and they said it was only silverfish. Witch is not true.

Pro: easy late-check in and kind staff. But.. You won't get the room shown in the pictures, the bed and furniture is okay but the purple-blueish light makes it feel like a jail. Shared bathrooms are small, outdated, but at least clean. Breakfast was 7/10, for the price okay, but too small place to sit, very crowded, and while choosing the food, there's no place for your plate, so you have to balance and put together your sandwich with one hand.. glasses and cups were too small, I couldn't add the amount of milk to my espresso I needed

Great location. Helpful staff. Breakfast had good variety. Rooms could definitely use a little TLC but for a hostel it was pretty good.

The worst hotel room in my entire life. My friend booked the hotel for us. We already paid before we came. There was no window(as it says in booking), the room smells bad. lt was a small room which looks very ugly (the pictures are not same with the room!!!). NO closet. There are only 3 hangers. There was no plug near bed. There was no shower cabin, only curtain. If you dare to shower, everywhere is wet. No hair dryer!!! The location was bad. (it looks good on map but if you like climbing hills in winter) Very far away from central train station and city sight seeing. There was no public transportation on the street. At least 8 mins walk for subway. The hostel staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was okay. There are bars near it.

I stayed here for 1 night after checking out of my other hotel early because it was so noisy. This probably made the Mosebacke Hostel seem better than it objectively is. If you are out exploring the city all day, the lack of windows is bearable. I had a sort-of skylight in my room so I could at least see whether it was daylight. The ventilation system is loud. I read many reviews about bed bugs so I checked the bed thoroughly and didn't find any, but they weren't the cleanest. The breakfast options were OK and provided at no extra cost. One of the members of staff was sat in the lobby in the evening listening to something on his phone with no headphones, which was annoying as my room was close enough to be able to hear it. I could also clearly hear what the people in the next room were doing and could have probably joined in their conversation if I spoke Swedish.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Bad und waren positiv überrascht. Für den Preis echt super. Das Zimmer selbst war relativ klein aber es hat gereicht. Das Bad hingegen war vergleichsweise echt groß. Die Lüftung war nur im Bad etwas laut und bei geschlossener Tür nur ein monotones Hintergrundrauschen. Trotzdem ist alles sehr hellhörig, wir konnten die Gespräche der Gäste vor der Tür hören und wenn jemand gekommen oder gegangen ist war es kurzzeitig sehr laut (war vor allem nachts und bei Gästen mit Kindern blöd). Das Frühstück war ok weil es inklusive war aber man kann definitiv nichts zu Tolles erwarten. Wer vegetarisch oder vegan ist sollte sich vielleicht vorher kurz beim Hostel melden, sonst wird das ein sehr enttäuschendes und hungriges Erlebnis. Das Personal hatte offensichtlich keine Lust da zu sein, hat aber trotzdem bei jedem Problem direkt geholfen. Alles in allem für den Preis vollkommen in Ordnung!

Henkilökunta erityisen ystävällistä. Aamiainen hyvä valikoima, kahvi hyvää. Vuoteet erinomaiset. Erityisesti henkilökunnan ystävällisyys jäi mieleen. Lähellä monia second hand kauppoja sekä ihanaa Hermans vegeravintolaa. Jääkaappi oli hyvä juttu 👍

The room cleaning is bad, the acoustic insulation is bad, there is no windows on the room, there is no ventilation on the room. I don't recommend.

The rooms are really small, with no windows and it's sometimes hard to breath. In the other hand the staff is very friendly, the bathroom is clean and breakfast delicious. The location is fantastic as well.

I had a reservation for 2020 and, of course, we couldn't go there because of the pandemic situation. I asked for a refund and they just answer saying that I could go in 2021 but the situation nowadays is not better than last year. We can't go to Sweden, we are not vaccinated, we don't want to do quarantine, etc. It's unbelievable... lousy management.

Comfortable place in a really quiet but trendy area in calling distance from the busy & central areas of the city. Friendly staff, clean & tidy kitchen, bathroom's, toilets. The rooms are a little bit tiny but also nice. The only negative side of this place is that the ground floor rooms are without windows. Consider this when you make a booking.

The hostel offers enough for the price. The breakfast was good, the kitchen was clean, the bedroom was bigger than in other hostels and although there was no window it was cosy. The staff is really friendly and the location is good. Its located next to a very cool street with bars and you can reach the old town in 10 minutes and the city center in 20. I would probably always choose this place when having to stay in Stockholm.

Compared to the price, the cleanness, facilities and the included breakfast were terrible. The room stank because of bad smell of the bathroom. Also no option for vegans in breakfast menu.

I have a really bad experience with hotel management. I booked 3 nights and paid in advance. My flight was cancelled 3 hours before departure, so I couldn't make it to Stockholm. I immediately sent an email to the hotel about that. No answer. I found another flight for the day after and stayed there only 2 nights. The hotel manager didn`t want to talk about that, moreover, he was rude, and they refused to give me a refund for the first night. It is unbelievable that this hotel doesn't know the basics about the hotel industry. and doesn't respect guests, especially during pandemics.

Great location and friendly staff. So if you are visiting Stocholm to discover the city, this hostel will fulfill your wishes. However, the room was small with very little space between the beds, definitely not like in the pictures. There was also no window, a terrible smell in the bathroom and extra cost for fresh towels (39 SEK).

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the security measures at Mosebacke Hostel, particularly regarding an incident that occurred during my recent stay. This incident has left me profoundly concerned about the safety and well-being of guests at your establishment. On 24th january at approximately 2 am, an older man was given access to our room by the hostel staff. Shockingly, this occurred in the middle of the night, putting the safety of two young girls, myself included, at considerable risk. The fact that the keys were not promptly revoked after the man's initial access is utterly unacceptable. When I approached the staff about this distressing situation, their response was both dismissive and concerning. They claimed that they failed to notice the man entering our room and therefore did not see any reason to retrieve the keys from him. This lack of vigilance and accountability on the part of your staff raises serious questions about the overall safety and security protocols in place at Mosebacke Hostel. Such a blatant disregard for guest safety is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. Secondly, the promotional photos on your website and booking platforms do not accurately reflect the reality of the accommodations. The disparity between the images provided and the actual conditions is highly disappointing. Guests deserve transparency, and the current misrepresentation creates false expectations. I hope that this feedback prompts immediate action to rectify the lapses in security at Mosebacke Hostel and ensures the safety of all guests.
