😠 My visit at this post office was HORRIBLE today!! The supervisor on duty today July 23rd was too lazy to check if my package was there or not. The two gentleman that work there are ALWAYS kind and helpful. She needs to be replaced immediately. If you don't want to do your job find another one!!     As many others have stated, this post office lacks professionalism to say the least. Customer service reps are extremely rude consistently. Packages not delivered and marked "no access to building" (timestamped at 8 pm) when I live in a house with absolute access to mail delivery on a regular basis. I can't pick up my packages because they are always "out for delivery" and nothing get delivered. This place doesn't deserve the 1 star that's required for this review.

    This post office has caused me a lot of grief with stolen packages, credit cards being delivering to the wrong address (Place vs. Street). Complaining just doesn't seem to help. I hope that this location try to re-train their workers to understand the importance of dilivering mail appropriately, and being respectful when a complaint is made. I use to think highly of this location but not now.

    Terrible work ethic from the woman at the front desk. We were told by usps that my gf’s package was at this location (it wasn’t delivered and they made no attempt but we had to pick it up). I went in to simply pick it up. The woman at the front desk refused to look at the tracking number. She told me because usps didn’t leave a slip it simply was not there. So I come back a second time and show her the USPS message that clearly says it’s at this location, but she wouldn’t look at it and said “sorry sir I don’t need to look at your phone it’s not here”. I told her the address it said was this location and she finally went to the back where she found it. She asked me who the name on the package was (same as my address) and I told her it was my gf. She sends me away again saying sorry she has to pick it up. Well luckily for me she was in the car (she has injured ribs so I was picking it up for her) and came in and finally this lazy woman gave us our package. This should have been a non-issue if she did her job and simply looked at the tracking number.

    This is our go to post office. The lines are not long and the staff is great. There is a parking lot adjacent to the building so you don't have to park on the street. We have been to this location a few times and we never had a problem. They have plenty of shipping materials in stock for people who are mailing packages. They also take appointments for people who are applying for a passport, and will even make copies free of charge of the documents you need. They also stay open later compared to other locations, which is very convenient.

    Since our mailperson retired last October 31, 2020, we have not received mail in a timely manner. We are lucky to receive mail twice a week and that mail is usually from the previous week. Today is Saturday, May 8, 2021, 3:00pm. Not only have I not received mail today, but I have not received mail since Monday, May 3, 2021 and according to informed delivery I should have received at least 20 pieces of mail by today. I have a solution: hire Hispanics - I bet they will get the job done.

    This post office is very unprofessional. It picks and chooses what they will allow. I have a P.O Box at this post office and every time i have a package delivered, I have to show the piece of paper that was left in my PO Box. But this particular day, that piece of paper wasn’t good enough. I had to show them identification and when i showed them identification my ID had a Lansing address on it, which is a suburb south of Chicago. I no longer live at this address and this is why i have a PO Box. I guess they thought my drivers license was suppose to have the address of the PO Box , it just didn’t make sense. Prior to that one of the postal workers checked paper work and seen that my name was on there but that still wasn’t sufficient enough. The fact that i had a physical key to the mailbox was not enough proof. The supervisor from hell came out with the biggest attitude you could imagine. By this time I’m livid, because i have never had to go to such lengths to pick up my packages before. It’s definitely the female postal workers for me. The gentleman gives me no issue. I will not be renewing my PO Box here. That was definitely a bad experience for me.

    I have had multiple problems with this post office and it's quite annoying now. I was even told that the carrier will mark it delivered and it's not, but will be the next day. Very unprofessional up there, more attitude than needed from staff. Needs new staff or better customer service training. And it's not all but majority plus definitely.

    The Monterey post office has a carrier who delivers on 100th block of carpenter who along with her supervisor returned a package out of spite because l reported a stolen parcel...l was not even given 5 days...24hrs the day I went in was the day they returned to sender...the carrier and supervisor need help

    Better hope you’re not shipping a Christmas gift from out of state only to have it “ghost delivered”. Shipping notification stated that the package was delivered 12/9 at 9:23am. The Ring camera disputes this but apparently that doesn’t matter. Either the package was delivered to the wrong door, (which means someone is trash), or the package didn’t make it to anyone’s door. But they’re not willing to accept any responsibility regardless of what video proof shows.

    This location is very unprofessional. I called to report a stolen package that was delivered, not to mention I had other packages outside of my home and this was the only one that was missing contents. I was initially put on hold for 20 min, hung up, then called back. Once I reached a different individual I was then put back on hold. Once I was finally taken off hold, I was told that I need to call whoever I made the order with and let them know my package was missing and they should replace everything. I then asked do they not do investigations for the individual on my route that delivered my package. She replied, “no we don’t.” So at this point it’s ok for the employees to steal and there’s no disciplinary action or protocol in this instance. I’ve never had any of my packages stolen from my home in all of the 6 years I’ve been there.

    WORST EXPERIENCE. OLDER LADY (light skin African American )AT THE FRONT DESK WITH GLASSES . HER HAIR IS IN A FLAT GREASY WRAP. RUDE AND NASTY ATTITUDE. I’M A BUSINESS OWNER AND SIMPLY ASKED TO BORROW A PEN. SHE TOLD ME NO. THEY HAD NO PENS OUT FOR CUSTOMERS TO USE FOR PACKAGES. I HAD TO GET A MANAGER INVOLVED. TO BRING ME A PEN. AS A BUSINESS OWNER I’M VERY UPSET. BLACK BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    Wish a zero star was available. Customer service is horrible. Please don’t answer the phone if you do not have customer service skills. The supervisor had a chuckle in her voice and intent to be as offensive as she could be well she succeeded. I get it my issue with your service is apparently not your problem.

    This location is SUSPECT! Why you say? I suspect that they stole my Tiffany necklace and bracelet that I physically gave to a clerk there on 7/14/23 to send to Tiffany's repair facility in East Elmhust, NY for a repair estimate. So I digress. Anyways .... During this visit, there were 2 women clerks there and one guy behind the counter who looked as if he was a maintenance man. Anyhoo .... I had the package sent USPS priority mail w/insurance. I checked the tracking info on 7/17/23 which noted that it was delivered and signed by an "individual" on this day. I called Tiffany on Friday, 7/28/23 to get a repair estimate thinking that my jewelry was of course already in their possession. Much to my surprise, a lady at Tiffany's customer service dept goes on to tell me that their log book does say it was received but without any contents in the package. So I contacted the Morgan park post office only to be told that it's highly unlikely that a postman stole my jewelry and that I couldn't file a claim because the package was delivered and I'd have to prove that its a postal worker who stole its contents because the post office did their job. Really??? R u kidding me?? Anyhoo, I contacted the postal inspector division at the post office who informed me that this person gave me incorrect information. That I could and definitely should file a insurance claim to get reimbursed for my loss. I'm so upset that my jewelry was stolen not so much due to the value, but because it held a sentimental value for me. Although I can't prove someone at the Morgan park facility took it, I know in my heart of hearts that they did. Reasons being is because the clerk was completely apathetic to my situation and made no effort whatsoever to try to help me figure out what happened to my jewelry. Also, there were quite a few people in the lobby and working behind the counter who clearly heard me say that I was shipping jewelry to Tiffany and that I needed to insure the package and lastly, this branch has very bad reviews on yelp.

    I'm literally half a block away. And it's always a problem getting my packages. Informed delivery always says undeliverable/no mailbox access with a time stamp at 6-7pm. Or that my packages were delivered at 8pm. What kind of business are they running at this location. It's poor service.

    Very poor customer service. I was in post office being serviced and explained I had 8 boxes to bring in for shipping. Although it was close to closing I was told I could ship items with priority and insurance. Of course I get 4 boxes in after providing shipping info and while I’m leaving to get the other boxes the employee tells me she locked the door. She states I will not be able to go back out to get the other 4 boxes I needed to ship. Therefore I cancelled shipping any of the boxes. This post office needs a training course in customer service. I would not recommend and will take my business to another location.

    Mail delivery is great when regular carrier is on duty, and nonexistent when the regular carrier is off. Sometimes no mail or packages for days, and when it is delivered it's misdelivered. Wrong address, wrong mailbox, and /or wrong name.

    My 1st of the month check is missing.and i called and ms Glover answered and was very rude and stated out of her mouth before i could say anything about my check missing.she said the mail carriers are not allowed to hold peoples checks.i took a picture of the mail carrier and the truck and i will be calling social security in the morning.and the mail carrier was under the influence of drugs.his eyes were red

    The worst post office. Ms. Glover the Supervisor 👎🏾 The Carriers mark packages as delivered when they are not. The cc machine is always down and most of the Clerks and Carriers are rude. They play games with your mail.

    I've been a strong advocate for the USPS since the last administration wanted to disban and do away with it completely. I feel it's a necessary service and just needs more staff, longer hours and more full time employees on site. This location in particular needs help immediately. They have a sign on the door that says they're open from 9-6, not true they close at 5. I've never been in there under 20 minutes unless I'm just putting something in the slot AND they now no longer offer passport services. It is one of your larger branches, located on 111th and Monterey ( across the street from Morgan Park High school). I would hare to see it close, however it needs the necessary upgrades ASAP!!

    Never more than 1 person working the desk and always long lines. Seems like a common trend for USPS on the south aide of Chicago. The organization doesn’t care neither does the employees. The company culture is embedded with disrespect and disregard for the customers and the communities that they “serve”.

    Another day another bad post office review…. IF YOU DON’T DO PASSPORTS AT YOUR FACILITY WHY ON EARTH IS IT SO HARD TO JUST SAY THAT!!!!!!!! DON’T LIST YOUR LOCATION AS BEING ONE! YOU WASTED MY TIME TODAY ALONG WITH OTHERS WHO SIMPLY ARE JUST TRYING TO GET A PASSPORT!!! In my case my kid needs a passport it’s his spring break we planned to specifically come during this time! This is the 2nd USPS office in the neighborhood to do this! I’ve been trying to get a passport for a month and continue to get the run around!! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!

    Terrible service from the older woman that works in there! The rest of the staff is very helpful . I went in there to track some missing mail with my daughter and she rudely denied helping us and went on to eat her chips . It was a total of 3 missing items and she was not willing to help us after 2. Truly unprofessional!

    Was told I had (made/forced) to pay for the box which I was shipping Priority Mail Express on 07/26/2023 @ 06:21pm which is definitely included when shipping priority mail and had to returned next day (tomorrow) on the 27th; After smart and sarcastic remarks were make regarding me also insinuating I was taking took long and how she had to close, etc.. The location close at 06:00pm I arrived around 10min prior to. Another customer which was there before I arrived left around 06:10p (Also a women with glasses locked the door at @6p) I was the last customer prior to close so I should have been serviced regular irregardless or I should have been told I wouldn't be able to get serviced. Sad to say this was my first time shipping; I explain to her I'm shipping an item priority mail she mentioned I'll need to tape and label this box before she could do anything (definitely takes a bit of time especially when securly shipping a large item with a bit of weight and having to use USPS expensively low quality tape Hell I had to discover myself the box had tape strips already.) She tell the truck driver to leave and continue to say I was taking long while filling out the shipping label her and her coworker talking about me in my face (the other did mention she should have taken me out of line prior to) about a minute later in completly filling out the label she denied to take my package and I was charged for the tape (obviously) and the box (which I mentioned should be free due to priority express and she said No its not free and giggled and I needed to return next day to pay for shipping priority express *no refunds are given*)

😠 No body here to help. Never delivered my package claimed i wasnt home. Was home all day. Waiting 10 minutes while nobody even came to the front. They dont care they lost my package and full of excuses. Cant wait till amozan replaces with drones
