Kuppam river is the wedding of a river and backwaters. During summer it is salty and monsoon it's get dirty. Travel along with different landscape and culture and reaches the mighty Arabian sea.

Nature is a gift and to preserve the same is very much our responsibility. Kuppam river flows through many villages and cities in between many hills , forests , paddy fields by crossing many roads and ways. The river recieves water from many small rivers and other small water bodies... It's maintained well by the responsible people ...it's always at its peak of the Beauty. It has started flowing some where back from the hills of kudiyanmala and flows all the way through chapparappadav, kooveri, panangattoor, kuttiyeri, kuppam, chalathoor, mangalasseri, pattuvam, payangadi and finally to Arabian sea. On all its way we can find many fishing activities too. It's a large vessel where it has a vast variety of fishes in it. There are many banks where boat jetties are being made by the kerala tourism. Mangalasseri has a vallam kali gallery where yearly boat race is conducted during Onam. The river also over flows during Monsoon. And again in summer it act as a source of water for many irrigation projects. It's actually a blessing for the people along the banks which stores water and reserves for the human kind. And it is our responsibility to save a preserve the river.

Kuppam river is located at Taliparamba in Kannur District of Kerala state, India. The river flows into the Arabian Sea. The river touches Taliparamba town at a place called Kupamwhich is surrounded by seven small hills. The River originates from Western Ghats, Kerala - Karnataka border. It has navigational water from Kooveri about 15 km. flowing through Therandy, Cheriyoor, Pachheni, Iringal, Kuppam, Pattuvam, Payangadi and Matool to Arabian Sea. The seven hills seen from Kuppam river make the area spectacularly beautiful. There is a bridge on Kuppam River and NH 17 passes through this bridge. Another bridge at Payangadi also over this river for State Highway.
