Unfortunately I haven’t had a good experience over 1 and a half years with Burke rd vet. The vet care is good but twice I have been overcharged. Once I was overcharged due to a miscommunication they blamed their booking system. More recently I was quoted $150 for annual vaccinations but charged $250 as they neglected to tell me about an additional consult fee. I had requested the quote in advance to budget my week (I am a masters student on limited income) and their misquote caused me real financial stress. When I complained my concern wasn’t dealt with satisfactorily. No apology for their mistake just “sorry to hear you feel this way”. No refund. I have asked for my pet’s records and will find another clinic.

Incredibly compassionate and extremely experienced and knowledgeable staff at this practice. The vets and the nurses alike were empathetic yet clearly knew their stuff. I only went there as my vet couldn’t fit me in and this practice was near my house. I was astounded how caring they were and they even followed up the next day to see how my dog was! They understand that your pet is actually part of the family. Highly recommend!! I’ve given my old vet the flick 😊

I find Burke Road Vet Clinic to be a really family oriented clinic and very sensitive to animal welfare The staff are happy, the waiting room friendly and the Vet staff are professional and competent with surgery; a strong trust has developed. Our lovely Labradoodle Basil was a client for his 15 years and our new dog Winnie, now the new patient from our family - along with Louis the cat.

I have been visiting Burke Road Veterinary Clinic with my dog for nearly 10 years. The staff are always professional, caring and knowledgeable. Great people, always the easiest experience

Thank you Dr Tina, Dr. Mel, Dr. Rebecca, Karly, Jaime and Carmen for all your care of Shushu these past 13 yrs. The practise has cared for my fur baby till she passed away - they were always kind,attentive, and responsive. The added service of filing insurance claims was really helpful .

Our giant breed dog has been coming to Burke Rd Vet for about three years, and we love it! She’s had every type of ailment - ear and skin infections, arthritis, limping, teeth cleaning, torn dew claw, tail amputation...and she’s seen every vet and nurse in the practice. Each visit is a great experience, she’s always happy to see everyone, and she’s recovered from each issue beautifully. We feel especially fortunate to go to Burke Rd Vet as Semi was recently diagnosed with Addison’s disease. It’s an extremely rare disease with symptoms typical of many other dog illnesses (lethargy, lack of appetite, diarrhoea) so it often gets misdiagnosed, which can lead to death. Fortunately Dr. Mel knew what to look for and determined the presence of the disease within just a few hours, and Semi was already on fluids. She has made a brilliant recovery and we have our big old gal back to normal! We also had a cat that visited the practice for urination problems and vaccinations and we had a great experience with her as well. The staff are amazing - they’re very thorough in their exams and follow-up, extremely knowledgeable across their field, and they have a great team dynamic. They’re also willing to answer the millions of questions I have, incredibly kind to Semi and my kids, and they even file the insurance forms too!

My dog Holly and I could not be more happy with Burke Road Vet. We've been going there for 16 years even since Holly was a pup. The staff are very kind, caring and knowledgeable and they genuinely seem to love her. They are very thorough and always manage to find the root cause and treat her accordingly. They are also very accommodating and trustworthy: sometimes when Holly has an issue, they allow me to leave her there for the day as I need to go to work. She's actually seems quite happy to visit the vet.

We have been going to Burke Road Veterinary Clinic since 2009 and the care and empathy and real love of animals emanates from the place. Everyone there is welcoming, happy to answer any question and always up for a chat. The vets are very professional and offer excellent service. We hope our association the practice continues for a long time.

This is my toy poodle, Mila. On Thursday night, she jumped up and grabbed a knuckle lamb bone, the ones we used to play "jacks" with as children. She swallowed it whole. I went down to the vet immediately, and they xrayed Mila, and sure enough, here was this ever so large bone in the stomach. She was scheduled for surgery the next morning. Donna came in on her day off for the operation. Mila was treated like a princess of puppies, and was shown much love from the staff, and much consideration to me, her anxious puppy mum. When she went home, we had daily phone calls to check on her progress. When she was due to have her stitches out, Rebecca did this for me and didn't charge me, which I was most grateful for. If you want extreme kindness, this is the place to bring your four legged fur baby.

Amazing! Booked my little Pom in last minute for a 2nd vax and overall health check. Didn’t even make a sound when receiving his injection. Great staff and very informative. Felt very comfortable for both myself and Bear 🐻
