After months of looking around at Aquarium stores, I came across this lovely open store, had a look around and stumbled across this funny fish with big googly eyes, I 100% wanted that one as I was contemplating on a normal gold fish but this funny looking one I just really wanted. Staff where friendly and very welcoming and super helpful, with what I would need to prepare to welcome my new fishy. Would Highly recommend this company. Not only the service was wonderful. I now have a beautiful big eyed fishy I can finally call Squishy

I’m a local and always shop at your aquarium and have always experienced professional advice, however I came in today to purchase a UVB light for my green tree frog. I wasn’t exactly sure what I needed as the brand was different from the one I knew . She handed me what she thought was the equivalent to what I needed but I wasn’t sure so I googled the information prior to purchasing it. The one she advised me to buy was totally incorrect and would have burned or killed my frog. I did tell her that she had given me the wrong information and I purchased the correct one. Please can you train your staff on the importance of selling and advising the correct products to clients. If I had bought this light she suggested it would be a very bad outcome for my frog

Always happy to give advice or very well trained customer service and care, either way they have so far excelled in this area for myself and others seen making purchases. Young team full of knowledge and an obvious passion for their livestock. BTW worth stopping by just to see the turtles and amazballs massive fish at the rear of the shop. With a clear, thoughtful vision, Matt has replaced our clunky, dated tank with a beautiful showpiece for our loungeroom! Our turtle is now swimming around in seven-star luxury and loving it! Matt found a wonderful option for the type of tank I was after and was able to adapt it for my turtle. Excellent information, service and support provided.

A friend in his 80s took over care of some aquarium fish that were sick. He sought advice from the aquarium factory who sold him medication. When he got the medication home he discovered that it was a medication that he'd already tried unsuccessfully and asked if I could return the unopened container with receipt two days later. I was told that he could not be refunded as this was considered a 'change of mind' despite my protest that the item was not' fit for purpose' and was offered a gift voucher instead. Perhaps they are better at selling than customer service. I would not recommend any trader with this outdated return policy.

Great selection of products/fish for both reef and freshwater hobbyists. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff alongside very competitive prices makes it a go to for all my fish needs

It's a great shop for fresh water tropical hobbyists. The staff where very friendly and Helpful. However I went there as a Saltwater marine tank owner and after looking at website I found that section of the store very disappointing

I was very disappointed with The Aquarium Factory. I spent about an hour traversing Melbourne to get to the shop only to walk in and honestly spend less than 5 minutes in the store. I walked in and went straight to the livestock section to look at the Marine fish which they had advertised as In Store Pick-Up Only. I didn’t see any Marine fish on display. I was going to ask the store team, but they were run off their feet with other customers. If you were after Freshwater fish and you are in the area, then pop in and have a look. But if you are more than 30mins away, I would call them first to see if they have what you are looking for.

Very impressed with Matt and Josh’s service at the Aquarium and love the quality of my new fish tank! 10/10 would recommend these boys!

Love this place! I’m a returning customer time and time again as they know what they are doing. The parking is a little awkward, but the store has a lot of good to it. I bought my axolotls and tank from their as they do custom tanks, cabinet maker needs to be fired however as my tank wasn’t ready for ages because of the cabinet. Other than that the service is great and the manager always tries his best to offer help which is a great attitude especially to newbies!

Allways willing to help with needs and they have a great range of fish and often have tissue culture and live plants available. Most common types of stone and wood are also available in small quantities.

Fantastic knowledgeable staff. We went in with hopes of help/advice for our poor ill goldfish. The first girl we saw was very helpful then handed us over to another employee (male but didn’t get his name, except name in receipt was Joshua) He was so helpful with advice (he totally knew what he was talking about) and yet didn’t try and upsell, just guided us to the products we could try and offered thorough advice on how to use these things. Truly over and above help and advice. We will definitely be going back there.

My fave local aquarium shop. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Fish look healthy and I haven't seen any problems on my visits. Generally has the best prices in the area as well. Not the most variety as it's not a huge shop, but its worth checking out. They have a tank with some monstrous fish as well, I love Redtail Catfish, so I always say hi to theirs.

Great choice of healthy fish, quality aquarium products. The owner is very helpful and supportive. Good shop to visit if you are interested in aquascaping. We got some quality rainbow fish. Highly recommended.

I'm new to fishkeeping, and was looking for an aqaurium store to be my go to place. In the past when I've gone to regular pet stores, I've often seen sickly or even dead fish sitting in their tanks, and encounter staff with no knowledge about fishkeeping. However, my experience at The Aqaurium Factory has been wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and are also very knowledgeable. They'll also be honest if a certain area is out of their scope of knowledge, which is honestly refreshing and is something that I value as a customer. I've also been very happy with the selection of fish, food and equipment they've had to offer. Definitely has become my main go to!

Visited the aquarium factory for the first time and was pleasantly impressed with the general cleanliness of the place as well as the aquariums on display there. This place has a good mix of all the things you would need to setup an aquarium or pond for that matter. I would have liked to see more fish variety though and felt my choice is very limited. The person attending to us was very knowledgeable and guided us well. Affordable pricing too. Keep up the good work. 👍

Had gone there to get a small aquarium for home. Decent place, friendly staff. Good variety of fish.. Nano to big ones. The guy patiently explained us the pros and cons of various options. We did buy from them and the price looks just ok. So far so good, hence the 4 stars. Will be going there again next month and I shall post an update.

The staff at this aquarium know their stuff if you ask. They have a good selection of everything and they make their own tanks on site. Just ask, and do your own research and get your tank ready.

I walked into Matt's store having been out of Aquariums for near on 40 yrs, I cannot express my gratitude and my heartfelt thanks for the support and advice he has given me, he has always been well mannered and courteous and to top it off has a great sense of humour... I am in usually twice a week for something or other and have probably come across all his staff at some stage and they have all been exceptionally polite and helpful. Awesome store, awesome people!!

My new favourite online store. Gave them a call this morning to discuss what was wrong with my aquarium. They told me what I needed on the phone, I processed the online order did exactly what they told me over the phone and it worked a treat. I cant even get that sort of service from my LFS so very happy with the customer service even over the phone.

Matt is always helpful and knows all about our Marine build. Has helped numerous times with little issues and I know I can rely on his saltwater being good quality. My Tang, Sir Fishington, is super healthy and has grown wonderfully. They are my best LFS.

Feel ripped off. Bought a 450l/h pump from here to replace an AquaOne 450l/h pump. Aquarium factory pump appears to be a knock off of an Aqua One, but much smaller and very lightweight, poor construction. Can only pump a tiny trickle - be lucky to get 450 litre per year!!! Aquarium factory not interested in helping resolve this - only remedy offered is to post at my expense and if they test it as faulty they'll replace it. It is clearly not a 450l/h pump, is not fit for the purpose advertised, and not worth the postage cost from NT to return it. I went back to my local shop and bought another Aqua One. Will keep the Aquarium factory "pump" to remind me to never ever deal with them again. Photos show a genuine 450 l/h Aqua One pump and the supposedly 450 l/h "pump" from Aquarium Factory - not even close to being able to pump 4.5 l/h!
