It’s a great monument with unique red brick colour. People can walk in the square and also sit around on chairs or stones. The location is perfect, bus tops are close by, and close to a park and other attractions.

So beautiful specially with surrounding buildings, I came at sunset. And you can go through it easily and take pictures unlike the one in Paris! Many street performs are around! Or just people exercising or talking.

It is a very nice square and architecture. If you visit when the sun shines and the colors are vivid, you can take great pictures. We also recommend spending time at the bar across the street with a beer or sangria. There is not much shade, so be careful of the heat on a very sunny day.

Napoleon the first commissioned the arch to be built in 1806 after the great victory of the battle of Austerlitz. built for the first international world fair 1888. This beautiful monument has a classical shape, and the proportions and features are absolutely stunning and groundbreaking sculpture. Decorated with amazing symbolism and motifs in a iconic landmarks, it is a must see in Barcelona. Depending on where you were staying, you will cross paths with it heading towards the beach and it is very close to the Barcelona zoo as well. Check out the beautiful arch during a nice sunny day.

Beautiful place to visit, the whole environment is filled with so much good energy and vibrant as in all aspects! The Arc is just one example out of all the beautiful places in Barcelona! One of the main highlight was the old school photography that was being taken with the Arc as the background. There street musicians and street painters were another beautiful addition to the experience. A must goto place in Barcelona. Looking forward for my next visit so much!

Beautiful Arco de Triomf, nice path and garden to sit and enjoy the view. Easy to get to via public transport. Few parrots 🦜 in the trees, felt like they were "residents " made it all a bit more cheerful

Beautiful location to walk around. Easily accessible by metro and bus. We saw some outdoor musical performances and reminded me of Washington Square Park in NYC.

Such a cool monument. It captures the whole vibe of the city and the grandness of Barcelona. Definitely visit and then go to the park. The zoo nearby its also very good with lots of attractions.

I loved the place. The arc itself is a beautiful architecture but the street behind it with all the palms is really beautiful. It is a nice place for an afternoon short walk with the family or the friends. Some free artists are performing and others are selling balloons. At the end of the street there is a beautiful park for kids and if you keep walking for like 10 min you will reach the Bay where you can find a good selection of restaurants by the water. Must visit if you are in Barcelona

Beautiful history & architecture. A place were locals come to sit & people watch, walk the dog, exercise, listen to musical artists, watch dancing, eat nearby or catch a bus...wonderbar! ❤️

One of many must-visit places to take a photo. It was built with small details and it’s a really beautiful monument that basically is serving as the entrance to a large garden that I highly recommend spending an hour wandering around.

  • 5/5 Jonathan B. 1 year ago on Google
Primarily a large archway resembling the original in Paris, but more importantly a public space enjoyed by all. Rollerblading, cycling, and some other forms of transportation I don't yet know the name of. Great place to people-watch, draw with some chalk, or play music. Also serves as a great landmark for the crucial metro station.

  • 4/5 Irene J. 2 years ago on Google
Gorgeous spot for a Sunday walk! Can be a little bit crowded sometimes but still a nice spot to chill, walk or even have a picnic. A photo spot you can’t miss!!!

  • 5/5 Kiera Emmerson H. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful and huge, it wasn’t hard to miss and very easy to get to from the Bus stop, I got the aero straight from the Airport yo the last stop and it was about a 5 min walk from there. It was amazing

Awesome arc to look at before you enter the street that’s lined with trees. Definitely check this out before you head into the park. There’s a ton of tourists in this area so prepare accordingly

Canadian traveller here. We spent a good 5 minutes to take photos here. It’s nice to take a photo from afar as well. So I suggest to continue walking down the lane. Plenty of seating if you get tired. There are also musicians and merch sellers along the lanes.

Really cool place with a story. Barcelona is indeed a beautiful city with so much to explore. Regardless of your interest and location, one can always find something of interest. There's a good transport link with tickets for bus, Metro, tram and trains. Always look at for the metro passes expecially for family, if you intend travelling by public transport.

I got a lot of good memories to this place, stays in my heart. A little bit further and you take a walk through the gardens with a beautiful fountain.

  • 5/5 William W. 2 years ago on Google
A great place to visit and take a photo on the way to the park. Easy to take a photo and a casual stroll. Lots of buses and the metro are nearby so it’s convient to get to or leave from. Be careful for pickpockets or people trying to sell you things.

A grand Monument to mark an entrance into Ciutadella Park. It's a place where many are taking a selfie, but you should stop and take a look at the detailing of this well kept and fine piece of architecture. As you pass through it, you will be on a walkway taking you to a number of attractions including Ciutadella Park and its own grand monuments, the zoo, Parliament building and plenty of footpaths to stroll along as well as benches to sit and enjoy the views.

The Arc de Triomf is a monument located in the centre of Barcelona, Spain. Architect Josep Vilaseca I Casanovas designed it as the gateway to the Universal Exhibition fair at Parc de la Ciutadella in 1888. It's near the Passeig de Sant Joan, at the northern end of the promenade. The sun, weather, and people I met here were all wonderful throughout my vacation. I would advise any tourist to pay a visit to this lovely location.

Beautiful architecture, and the parc after it is so interesting. Recommended for all ages. Can be visited for a picnic, a nice walk or a canoe ride in the lake.

This triumphal arch, a splendid testament to Catalan architecture, stands as a majestic gateway to the city's Ciutadella Park. The intricate detailing of the arch, adorned with sculptures and inscriptions, reflects Barcelona's rich cultural and historical tapestry. The arch's location at the head of Passeig de Lluís Companys adds to its significance, creating a seamless integration with the city's vibrant life. The surrounding greenery of Ciutadella Park offers a picturesque backdrop, inviting visitors to stroll and appreciate the arch from various angles.

We stumbled across this magnificent monument and whole area. There was lots to see and admire, with architecture and fine buildings all around. The entertainment from buskers and performers was mostly welcomed and enjoyed, both at the Arco and around the whole area. I would recommend a visit to this area to take in the atmosphere of Barcelona.

  • 4/5 Saito G. 2 months ago on Google New
Definitely must visit, besides the actual Arc, there is also a lot of buskers in the area. Makes for a quite an entertaining lot. Just be careful as with any tourist areas, there is always the potential for pickpockets and the like. There are also quite a few homeless people hanging around the area so try and stead out of their way.

Quick stop off from our MSC World Europa Cruise - grabbed a few pics, that was it. End of October so very quiet and no crowds. Perfect time to visit.

The entryway to a beautiful piece of the city. Lots of performers, onlookers, and musicians around, giving the area its own distinct soundtrack. Take your phone, take it in, but take your time. 😊

Beautiful, vibrant, and immensely visual. Very peaceful walk along the entire length and enjoyable park. No tickets necessary, just a great place to relax, walk, or read up on historical architecture

Unbedingt besuchen!

Great photo spot! Felt so magical especially with the kind man blowing huge bubbles in the middle. Literally a dream spot and was a great central space for us to meet up at! Definitely recommend a sun hat as it is a nice long walk to the other end!

Arco de Triunfo in Barcelona is a magnificent monument that left me awe-struck! The architecture is stunning, showcasing the city's rich history. I was impressed by its grandeur and intricate details. Surrounding gardens are charming, providing a perfect backdrop for photos. It's a hub of cultural activities, often hosting events and performances. The atmosphere is vibrant, with locals and tourists alike soaking in the beauty. The nearby promenade is great for leisurely walks. Visiting the Arco de Triunfo was a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone exploring Barcelona.

  • 5/5 Brian A. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful arch, but the surroundings are great with plenty of areas to sit and get fresh pictures. What I love about the area is once you enjoy the arch, then you can head down to the La Ciutadella park and enjoy the beautiful quiet park! Great combo to visit while in that area!

  • 5/5 Anthony M. 5 months ago on Google
It is a very nice square and architecture. If you visit when the sun shines and the colors are vivid, you can take great pictures. We also recommend spending time at the bar across the street with a beer or sangria. There is not much shade, so be careful of the heat on a very sunny day.

Very beautiful structure! It was one of the first things we saw when we got out of the train station, and it's a marvel to see - very big and grand! There's not much to do other than just marvel at the beauty of it, and it's located in the nice park area. Great to take some pictures of and pass by! And it's free to see.

  • 5/5 Mahsa H. 9 months ago on Google
The area around the Arc is nice for walk and also there a beautiful park next to it. If you like to explore the city on foot it is highly recommend.

  • 5/5 Armand D. 10 months ago on Google
It's a pretty arch and there's a nice wide thoroughfare between there and the park that's nice to walk down. It wasn't too crowded when I was there. It's quite nice for photos. If you're in the area I think it's worth a visit on the way to the park or some of the restaurants.

My parents did the tasting menu (37 euro option; 2 person minimum) and ate likes kings. Since it’s in a high tourist area there is a slight sense of rush in the air, but the waiters absolutely do not make you feel pressured to eat quickly. The attention to service is high. The ambiance of the 17th century stable is perfection. The food quality is great and the dishes creative.

  • 5/5 James Z. 9 months ago on Google
One of my favorite arches. The color contrast and setting with the palm trees and wide boulevard is just stunning. A definite must-see when in Barcelona.

  • 5/5 B C. 9 months ago on Google
Nice place to walk. The arc gives the place a nice little touch with history. The promenad behind is worth the walk, alone, with friends or family. Just watching the passersby, exercising or just chilling, whatever you choose.

  • 4/5 Flo’s G. 9 months ago on Google
A gorgeous monument to stop by, though very touristy of course, and a bit random. What I mean by that is that there are several street performers, protests, vendors, everything going on at once. The area is mainly calm, however it can be a bit overwhelming and stressful to be stopped every five seconds to be sold something, it feels like certain areas of Paris. Other than that, a nice place to pass by and take a few pictures.

  • 5/5 Tony A. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice place, the surroundings also have nice decorations. The road leads you to a beautiful park also. There is plenty of space to take photos as well!

Buikt in 1888 archway to the main entrance to the Universal Exhibition hosted by Barcelona city. Barcelona city is a great place where architecture arts talk to you history and stories of past.

Impressionante!

Beautiful structure, surrounded by street performers. Nice place to walk around with a drink or snack and soak up the vibe. There were singers, dancers, painters, bubble wand-ers, and vendors for things like souvenirs and scarves. Walking to the end of the strip takes you to a beautiful park.

  • 5/5 Thomas A. 4 years ago on Google
A wonderful and unique monument, beautiful in its own design, a pleasant place to have a picture taken for memories. Many people enjoying the surroundings, many people sell their stuffs too, especially in a good and clear weather, it's a good place to bring your kids to enjoy the fresh air. One thing for sure, keep aware of your belongings, I was "almost" pickpocketed by a stranger. Keep you wallets/cellphone inside your jacket.

Cool monument in Barcelona surrounded by a nice park. Great place to walk. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to see this but if you’re in the area or want to take a minute away from the hustle and bustle in the city, I recommend it.

Magnificent experience to walk under this Arco De Triunfo. A beautiful fountain and green garden is awaiting you inside. It is definitely one of the must visit spots while in Barcelona. You could find a free toallets inside, just next to the fountain. Also, it is well connected in terms of transportation. Absolutely worth the time there.

One of the best outdoor places to visit in Barcelona. Also probably one of the best places to take some nice photos (calling all the Instagrammers), its also a nice walk if you are pretending to head towards the beach. Here is a nice photo I took a couple months ago there.

  • 5/5 J Z. 2 years ago on Google
A marvelous entrance to a great way for bikes, walking and for dogs, the arch itself is imposing but not worth to spend much time there, since the parks nearby are more interesting and worthwhile. Also it's not as breathtaking as the similarly named arch from Berlin. The colours and statues are as the photos display, so nothing surprising here.

  • 5/5 Sachin S. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely key Arc of monumental proportions. During normal times this large boulevard is bustling with people

  • 4/5 Jordan D. 2 years ago on Google
A big arc to take cool photos and lots of space to walk and envision the parades and public events that could take place here. Pretty neat but nothing crazy. Good to pair with Citadel Park and the fountain there

This brick arch is very beautiful. It has many details. Along this arch is a street that is covered with palm trees on both sides. Most of the time here you can see street shows. We went there shortly after midnight However, someone was playing the violin there. But in this place, take care of your wallet, mobile phone and belongings.
