The “Lungs of Bogota”. This is an incredible park and an amazing place to visit. Full of great biking and walking trails and a small lake that is perfect for kayaking, you MUST visit the Parque Simon Bolivar to complete your Bogota experience. However, be warned that many outpost employees will try and cheat you into paying for bathroom use. Bathrooms are FREE in the park, but some workers who staff food stands will guard the entrance and demand payment to use the lavatory. Other than that, there are plenty of great vendors and food options available in the park with an excellent environment. Drones are typically prohibited, but are allowed with proper licensing.

This is large public park. I went on Sunday and it was crowded. There are several street food stalls. Several people walk, cycle or do picnic.

I saw many cyclists, many joggers and definitely lots of families walking with their kids and pets. Very family-oriented atmosphere. You can also rent paddle boats and take a ride down the enormous Lake in the center of this park. There's also lots of food you can come and enjoy. The coffee in Columbia is second to none. But they also have other food like arepa, masorca, and Colombian ice cream. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely enjoy nature and Parks. I truly did have a wonderful time here. There are multiple playgrounds and spots for kids to play around. There are also many beaches and places for adults to relax and workout. What a great park in the city with nice trails and options and good vendors even on a non-weekend and non-holiday. My wife said it is swarming with picnics and kids playing and couples walking on the weekends but fewer on a Thursday. I said we must visit one of those times. Pausing for coffee or a fruit cup or just sunning on a bench quietly were all enjoyable. It was fun for my wife to feed the carp and koi by spillway.
