    Don't ever order from here!! Appalling service, it if would let me submit a review with zero stars, that's what I would have given!! Ordered just after 9pm through just-eat. Delivery time 9.25-9.45. App said food delivered about 10.10 but it hadn't arrived. Rang up multiple times to be told he's on his way, staff really unhelpful and rude. 4 phone calls later and at 11pm still no food!! Gave up as thought it wasn't coming. Eventually came about 11.10 and guess what...it had been on the road for that long, the food was absolutely stone cold and inedible. Nearly £30 it cost so wasn't exactly cheap. Avoid this place completely. Looking at other reviews I'm not alone in getting shocking service and food. Just-eat should remove them from their platform.

    Ordered 07/10/2022 via Uber Eats, 4 stars instead of 5 due to taking almost 2hrs to arrive when Uber app guide was 10-25mins (fastest, hence chosen). That said when arrived delivery was good, items were still in right condition. The app was offering a buy one get one free on the Banana Milkshake (background of pic) and also on Triple chocolate sundae (front of pic). The Banana milkshake to start, tastes good and one solitary small slice of banana at the bottom 🤷🏽‍♂️, which felt like an afterthought. However the Triple chocolate sundae, simply wow there was thin slices of white chocolate layered throughout and you can see from the pic the plentiful layers of chocolate cake throughout, making this a highly recommended dessert should you order. The value with the offer and the taste of the product did make the wait worth it, for context this was a Friday evening, just don’t expect this to be quick as Uber guide you via their app. Also don’t bother asking via the app for the location to provide an update as I was doing so every 5-10mins and no response (plus Uber own help webchat was constantly saying 12min wait but not moving). So overall taste good, value good due to offer but delivery time is not what you can expect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I ordered at 12am, Uber eats gave a time estimate of 5-15 mins. The order was delayed slightly, fair enough it happens sometimes. The new delivery time was 12:30am to 12:50am. Once it was 1am I became concerned and started to call them. Their stupid Cakeaway greeting message kept playing but then not connecting to anyone. When it got to 2am someone finally answered and I told him to cancel it as I was going to sleep. He then said I would still be charged. How is it reasonable to wait for over 2 hours for a small dessert? I will never use them again.

    Ordered on deliveroo an hour and half ago. Rang the number provided for an update numerous times, no one answered. So I commented on their Instagram asking for an update, they deleted my comment. I messaged them on Instagram, they ignored it. So I rang the shop again and a very, very rude woman answered it shouting hello me. I started to explain what’s happened and the woman completely cut me off saying ‘I know you’ve contacted us on Instagram multiple times but you don’t understand we have loads of orders coming through all the time, it’s Christmas Eve and multiple people haven’t come in so you need to be patient’. To which I just responded ‘ok’ then she tells me the driver will be with me in 10 minutes as he’s in Little Hulton at the moment…I live in Bolton, the same as the shop so there is no reason he should be in Little Hulton. Clearly the driver gets a bunch of orders at once in the car and goes delivering them together. Not professional at all, also the size of the cakes were TINY and £5 a slice! Won’t be coming here again, the woman on the phone needs to be sacked as well..disgusting attitude she has.

    Food was even cold - chips , they even don’t deserve one star What a bad company , they should not be in business, deceiving lying and always to late . You always have to wait more then 1 hour , but on Uber eats they write 10-30 minutes . If you call they blame the drivers , if you tell the drivers they hardly get it . 4-5 times now to late to deliver . If the manager dos not do anything about a feedback like this and others . He should be fired or quiet his business . If you can’t do what you promise to try to be a business. Very annoying and terrible business . Don’t order there .

    Hot food - shockingly bad/small. Cold food - really good. Delivery - don't expect it to be delivered. Add at least 2 hours to delivery time. The delivery drivers are rude and quit constantly saying she doesn't pay them if they don't work 2 weeks notice. They say nothing good about the store. This is probably one of the reasons the delivery is so bad. The drivers don't like the owner. Mine called me a cow for refusing to tip, after telling me he doesn't care. Apparently they don't deliver from Bolton. They deliver from Stockport.

    The food is actually pretty good, if I was rating on just the food/dessert alone I'd probably give it a 4 or even a 5 but the customer service side deserves 0 stars. However the delivery, customer service and pricing is terrible, like most of the other reviews already show... the food arrives very cold. Not sure why they even bother doing delivery, it completely ruins their image. They should either stop doing deliveries or change how they do delivery orders/hire more drivers, because waiting over 2-3 hours for a delivery is really annoying. I wouldn't even mind but they confirm your order even before they deliver it and if you call them it takes a long time and she just lies to you that the delivery is out even when it's not.

    I will NEVER order from here again! It’s my fault for not looking at the reviews but Cakeaway doesn't even deserve 1 star. I ordered a lotus biscoff waffle at 6:45pm. It got to around 7:00pm so I called asking where my order was. They said it was just leaving so should be 25 minutes. Got to about 8:00 so I called again asking where my order was. The guy said it was down the road. It took another 20 minutes till it actually arrived. I wouldn’t have been that mad if it was just late. However, the waffle was stone cold and stale, they just dolloped on a spoon of lotus spread, some lotus biscuits and a half eaten wafer on top. Now this is unacceptable. They shouldn't even be open if they can’t manage to get their food delivered on time or at least warm. They probably don’t even read the reviews! They all say the same thing, even from 3 years ago! Just disappointing.

    Ordered at 12:30am, with delivery saying 10-30 mins. We especially ordered items which were not complicated in order to make it easier for delivery. At 2:30am I called them up and was told they are waiting for an UberEats driver. Uber Eats was not delivering this order, and it was to be delivered by Cakeaway themselves, so this was an obvious lie. I was told that the driver would be 15 mins more. At 3:30am, we gave up and went to bed. The order was left outside the front door, and according to Uber Eats, this was only delivered at 4:15am - a full 3 and three-quarter hours after we ordered it. Uber refunded the entire order this morning, so I'm not out of pocket, but I'd never consider ever ordering from here again. Brazen lies being told to their customers and dismal customer service when I had to call them when the order was already an hour late. Unbelievable that these are still in business. The reviews don't lie, they deserve for customers to keep asking for refunds.

    Absolutely shocking service, order 1.30 minutes late when rang to cancel the male on the phone said he was going to ring just eat, which we didn't have a problem with, the girl didn't seem to care and said "if you want" about us getting in touch with just eat our selves and didn't have any customer service skills. Absolute knobheads needs shutting down.....

    Ordered through just eat at 8pm, said would be delivered by 9:10-9:20, no sign of it, so rang the place, no answer. Asked for an update through the app, said it would be 9:40, kept waiting and eventually gave up and went to bed. At 00:15 the door bell went off, which not only woke the dog, but also the 5 month old baby!! We obviously didn’t answer the door due to all being in bed so they left it on the doorstep (only found it there this morning) And have complained but they have said ‘we aren’t giving you a refund, sorry it was delayed, hope you enjoyed your food’ STAY CLEAR!!

    Do not waste your money!! Order confirmed at 5.42pm , rang to see where order was at 7.30. I was told order on the way and driver would call me. No apologies. Order arrived at 8.10pm. The cake slices are very small portions and so do not reflect the hefty prices. The order was incorrect, instead of brownie they sent cheesecake. The cake isn’t awful but not worth the cost at all. I will now always read reviews as if I had I would not have placed the order. I ordered off just eat yet my review doesn’t show any comment just the 1 star, just like hundreds of others, so just eat are also at fault for allowing such unprofessional & mis-leading suppliers to continue to provide such a poor service on their site, so shame on them too.

    Absolutely disgusting service really. Ordered at 12:15, app said it delivered at 12:40. it didn't arrive until 4:00AM !!! at which time i had gone to sleep and someone else in the house had to answer the door. food was obviously cold and turned down at the door, fake number on the website and never got a refund.

    Order turned up 2hours late. Staff pretended to be helpfull at first and then soon as started being late stopped being polite. Then when we contacted because the order was wrong! He called my sister a “stupid slag, you get what your ordered” They claim to be in preston in just eat and they arnt. We have put in for a refund with just eat as it was £33 pound! Be avoid at all costs!

    If I could give a zero i would! Waited over an hour for "delivery", only then to be called to say there was a problem in the kitchen and it would delay the order by another hour! Even after confirming 40 minutes prior that it was on its way. Would not recommend.

    Absolutely disgusting attitude, food was an hour and a half late and the food is poor quality. The young woman on the phone constantly lied about the driver being 5 minutes away and saying he was a new driver. The driver said they lie all the time. Buyer beware as this is the worst food company I have ever encountered.

    Absolutely shocking behaviour on behalf of the company. I would be disgraced to even work for such a company. I am pretty sure it is a child on the phone too. I kept getting told my driver would be 10 minutes and when the food finally arrived, almost 2 hours late and kept lying about the driver being new and even the driver admitted that the company are a bunch of liars and looked as fed up as we felt as customer. Food was in a bad way when it turned up and the size was tiny. Never order from here. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My partner better get his refund.

    I've placed an order online through Uber eats at 17.45 this afternoon. The order was supposed to be delivered between 18.10 and 18.30 by one of the restaurant's own drivers. Nothing delivered by 18.50 so I rang the restaurant for am update and they said the driver was 10imutes away. I waited until 19.15 and rang again, no answer on the phone. I contacted Uber eats CS but they couldn't do much as the restaurant uses their own drivers. Rang the restaurant again at 19.23, spoke to a gentleman who seemed very willing to help and said he would call the driver to check where he was and would ring me back. Never had a call back. Rang the restaurant again at 19.35 to ask AGAIN what was going on, they said order would be with me in 2 minutes. Order finally delivered at 19.42. I've missed a very important prior engagement as I had to sit at home and wait for my order for a grand total of 92 minutes. What a joke. I'm surprised they are as big of a company as they are with several locations. Do not recommend for delivery. The food is good and all, maybe try collecting or eating at the restaurant. Also, because of the great delay, some elements of the food had melted.

    Yesterday I ordered from cakeaway, it took 3 hours to arrive and when it did arrive the sundae was melted all over everything else. We ordered a brownie sundae and we didn’t not receive a brownie sundae which we paid £9.99 for which I think is disgraceful. The cheesecake was upside down and tasted absolutely awful. This is my second time ordering from cakeaway and it will definitely be my last. I would like to receive a refund but I don’t think that would compensate for the awful disgrace that this was!

    We ordered at 8pm 1 milkshake and 1 reeses platter with its expected time between 9.10 and 9.40. After ringing at 9.40 they said it had left the shop for delivery, the woman said the same when we rang at 10.30. Eventually got here at five to 11pm. The reeses platter was a tiny packet of reeses pieces and 4 peanut butter cups, not worth £15!! Milkshake was average but warm when it arrived. The staff weren't friendly and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

    *DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY* I ordered food from here a good few months ago and it never arrived, was told I'd get a free meal to compensate... never arrived and then it's been months since then and it was the only place open on UberEats that were still delivering so I thought yano maybe they'll deliver this time. They did deliver, 2 hours after I'd ordered and rang them up twice. The first time was to see where it was and I was told it'd be with me soon because the driver is on his way. Over an hour later still nothing so I was like yeah I'll ring, cancel and go to bed. I rang and they said he was 2 minutes away and I couldn't cancel. Then the driver appeared, chucked me my food, took a picture and left. I opened it to find all of the food stone cold and wet. I ordered some popcorn chicken with cheese that was so cold I turned the tin upside down and nothing moved an inch, it was completely stuck to the tin. The sweet potato fries are really soggy, wet and cold so I've raised a complaint with Uber, the food is in the bin because its not edible at this point and I'm heading to bed

    I ordered 3 items and it’s took over 3 hours to be delivered. I’m no more than 30 min away from Store and it took 6 times that for it to be delivered. Do not order from here when the food arrived it was stone cold, my milk shake was no more than just warm milk I had to throw it cause it tasted sour. It’s got horrid customer service when I phoned I got hung up on everytime and spoken sharply too.

    Do not order from this place. Me and my girlfriend ordered a cookie dough to share. Rang up the restaurant after an hour of waiting to be informed that our order was in the town and would be with us shortly. Rang again to be told that our order was in Chorley when in fact calling later on found out it hadn’t even left the desert parlour. The poor bloke who cancelled our order received nothing but abuse from a lady on the phone which was then hung up. If they say they cannot cancel your order they are lying as one of the blokes did it before he was presumably fired.

    The food and drink quality is good but that's where the positives end. Me and my partner where regulars here until the last time we came. This company has failed to tell its customers that they've hiked up their prices and added over priced add ons . For example 2 pounds for a petty little squirt of cream. The guy on the till failed to pass on that their now charging for every single detail. What was normal a 20 pounds order was a 30 pounds order. Personally I feel this places has become a bit of a gimmick. The edible flowers and the mountain of cream up the side of the straws on a milkshake ? Very messy and looks childish. Also if you're going to charge ridiculous prices for your milkshakes at least serve then in a bigger cup, in a small cup there worth 2.50 at best. We will never be returning as we feel this company has become a customers money rinsing gimmick. Wouldn't reccomend to anyone.

    DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ORDERING FROM HERE. FIND ANOTHER TAKEAWAY. CAKEAWAY - MORE LIKE THROW AWAY the food arrived late and cold. when trying to contact the shop no one answered. i ordered the bbl burger which came with no turkey bacon, no fried onions and no cheese. the only salad that came with it was a few sprigs of soggy, spoiled lettuce, which had a rotten taste. definitely not ordering from here again. i recommend you to not waste your time or money on this business. i would give no stars if possible

    Placed an order for red velvet rose cake to be delivered between 4 to 5 pm to surprise my husband for valentines day from cakeaway through their insta page... received the cake by 6.45 after calling them again and again... almost Missed our dinner reservation because of the delay....To add more disaster they delivered chocolate cake instead of red velvet,my husband hates chocolate cake.... not even a apology message after letting them know that they delivered the wrong cake.... spoiled the Surprise spoiled the day....never going back again...

    Food arrived after over three hours. Vegan hotdog was cold and uncooked in buttered bread, no sauce or anything. We actually fell asleep before.this arrived and the driver woke us up in the early hours of the morning with the delivery. Would recommend avoiding ordering delivery from this place

    If it was possible I would give cake away 0 starts, the food took two and a half hours to get to us last night and by the time it got to us it was stale, rock hard and freezing. Absolutely gutted I wasted £40 on this food and shambolic doesn’t even come close to how bad the company is.

    Ordered food at 20.30 with delivery time of 21.05. Rang restaurant 21.30 who promised another 5 mins then got a text to advise it wouldn't be until 21.50. Finally delivered at These are cakes! Not as if I was waiting for hot food! Could've gone to the supermarket, bought the ingredients and baked them myself in less time.

    Absolutely vile sundae’s, ordered a milkshake and I may aswell of gone to the the tuck shop as it was FULL of sweets and not the milkshake i ordered and paid for! And who puts a galeto tripple chocolate cake in a cup with ice cream as a ferro Roche milkshake. If you don’t have the items/ingredients ring the customer and don’t assume it’s what they want! Rancid.

    We purchased 2 slices of the slattery cakes, they are the worst cakes I have had in my life. They tasted overloaded with sugar and an unnatural taste. £10 for tack not worthy of a dog starving on the street.

    Service was disgusting last night I ordered Uber from this place. deliver was men to arrive by 11.05 to our hotel I called them twice was told the driver is on his way.I was shocked at what time the driver actually arrived at the hotel at 12.35am i and my family were asleep so did bother going to collect the delivery.morale of the story waited so long that we fell asleep and lost out on the money if I had new this place has this type of service I would never of ordered from them.clearly they don’t have business skills or there review ratings would be this low

    Can't share details on food that never arrived, order was over £20 and have been waiting for over 2 hours. Apparently not even worth a phone call and when I called asking about order they just kept saying it was on route and then they just stopped picking up when I was enquiring about my order and they are now refusing to refund my order at all so it's basically theft. Don't know how anyone can allow such shoddy and terrible service and still call themselves a business. Will definitely be bankrupt before the year is over. Absolutely atrocious.

    I really wish I had seen all the reviews before I ordered from this place, ordered 2 milkshakes and a burger at quarter to 2am said it was coming between half 2 and 2:40 turns up at half 4 in the morning burger is freezing cold that the meat was hard and the bun was stuck to the meat patty, milkshakes all watery and cant even get a refund and they never answer the phone when your order is late. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS ANY MONEY!

    DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!!!!!!!! The staff lie!!!! Ordered at 1:45am, it’s now 3:30am and still no food… Rang up 4 times to get an update and multiple different people ensured me it was on its way. Just had a look on the app to see that it had been cancelled, been lied to by the staff, would have just gone to bed if it wasn’t for their incompetence
