Such a beautiful stadium. It was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to visit the stadium. I would recommend to visit the stadium. Maradona has been Argentina's football legend and it was great to see their historic stadium

Impressive stadium in an impressive neighborhood. ALWAYS take a taxi, don't walk beyond Caminito into La Boca. That part is not for tourists .

This stadium is a dream for every football fan. I cannot explain the chills I got when I came here. The repainted stadium the beautiful. The café has the best alfajores I have tried, as well.

Amazing atmosphere, unic experience! Enough security during the game, inside the stadium are only non-alcoholic drinks allowed.

If you have the opportunity to visit Buenos Aires, you should certainly go to a Boca Juniors game in La Bombonera (Estadio Alberto J. Armando). The stadium was opened in 1940 and has capacity for 54.000 spectators. The atmosphere is simply amazing when Boca Juniors play at home. We book with a tour (including bus transport and match tickets). Even though it was quite expensive (more than USD 100), it was certainly worth it. For safety reasons, it is recommended to book with a tour (as the area around the stadium can be dangerous, especially at night).

The Alberto José Armando Stadium, La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina.🏟🇦🇷 Home of @bocajrsoficial Capacity: 57,000 Widely known as La Bombonera due to its shape, with a "flat" stand on one side of the pitch and three steep stands round the rest of the stadium. The stadium is owned by Boca Juniors, one of Argentina's top football clubs. The unusual shape of the stadium has led to it having excellent acoustics and the Boca support being nicknamed "La Doce". The pitch at La Bombonera is the minimum size required under FIFA regulations – 105m × 68m. The stadium is widely regarded as one of the most emblematic stadiums of the world, and has been declared of public interest by the Government of Buenos Aires autonomous city. The stadium, as well as being the home of Boca Juniors, who have over 16 million fans (the highest in Argentina), is also used as a concert venue. Past performers at La Bombonera have included Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, James Blunt, the Bee Gees, and the Backstreet Boys.

I didn't actually go inside this place , so I can't comment on any specifics. But just from the outside, it looks like an impressive stadium for the local games.

If you have a chance to watch Boca Juniors here, so so. Great atmosphere and enjoyable experience. Getting in and out of the ground was pretty easy, but leaving La Boca took a while as the area was busy (as you can imagine)

I didn't have a chance to do a stadium tour, but lots of Boco Junior souvenirs to purchase in the area.

The standing room seats are awful. Too many people in a too small space. People got crushed and injured. It was very scary. This stadium is not up to fire code, and a disaster could happen at the next soccer match. There is one stairway for thousands of people, and the stairway is blocked by fans. There is zero crowd control. Watch on TV.

The surrounding area of the stadium is very picturesque, with the full "La Boca" flavor. The stadium is impressive, a vertical wall towering just off the sidewalk in a narrow street. Parking anyone? That's the issue... Some dudes on the street "manage" the parallel parking space and want to charge you up to 1000 pesos to "look after your car" (translate: don't pay and risk finding your car not in the same condition...) Thus, recommended public transport or parking a few blocks away. Another disappointment was going to the stadium store to buy a Boca Juniors jersey and they didn't have in stock the official blue and yellow one.

Don't bother with the museum. Few exhibits. $10,000 for foreigners. Absolute rip off. You don't get to see the stadium either.

A must for the Boca Juniors club fan. You need to be assiciated to the club to access the field, but this can be done online in 5 minutes for a fair price.

Came here for a game between Aldosivi and Boca in semi finals. I wanted to catch a game while in Argentina and this stadium is located in Boca neighborhood and the local fans are said to be fierce and loyal. I got my tickets through a hostel in BA. Quite expensive, specially for a local game I thought ($126) but included a guide to take us there and back. Turned out that we had the standing room cheap seats on a terraced area. The steps on which you stand are fairly narrow and not very tall. You can sit on them before the game as people are coming in, basically taking up two levels of stairs. However when the stadium is full it's not likely that you'll be able to sit down during the game or the halftime. Lots of cheering. If a goal is scored lots of jumping and pushing. I was basically catapulted, falling in both directions at least twice. Lots of weed. They sell some food on the walk up. Walking into the stadium seemed pretty organized with multiple check points. They'll ask you for an ID but just say you're a tourist. Lots of people making their way to the stadium before the game. People selling beer, soft drinks, various sandwiches, empanadas etc. Quite the crazy, exciting experience.

Great stadium with tons of history. Great museum. The stadium has three levels and they almost reach the pitch. That means that the noise level must be deafening. Tour for 2 was 760 pesos or $19USD.

I know this place is a place of "worship" for some people. I'm not one of them, still I appreciate its cultural significance. So if you are a football fun - go see it and soke up the good vibes.

If you're a football fan, this is one of the WORLD'S most iconic stadiums. Not to be missed. Try to get to a match. Unbelievable.

A magnificent venue to feel what sports are about. While it’s challenging to get tickets attending a game here is an ethereal experience.

👍👍 Super grateful for the time the staff took with me here for my tour of the museum. You can feel the history of this club, and the fact its a far more rich experience than the tourist laden Boca or River. It's a family club, run by fans for fans.
