We
stumbled
upon
this
restaurant
while
in
Cairo
and
searching
for
restaurants
that
weren’t
catered
to
tourists.
While
I
could
pass
for
Egyptian(
that’s
what
locals
thought
I
was),
my
husband
very
much
sticks
out
as
a
Dutch
heritage
man.
When
we
walked
in,
people
looked
a
bit
shocked
because
we
were
the
only
tourists.
Our
first
time
there,
we
went
for
dinner.
The
sweet
Arabic
family
sitting
next
to
us
saw
that
we
were
working
through
the
menu
so
they
were
so
gracious
and
welcomed
us
to
their
table,
let
us
try
their
food
and
helped
us
order
as
well.
The
wait
staff
was
also
amazing
and
so
helpful.
We
ordered
way
more
than
we
should’ve
because
everything
looked
so
good.
We
got
the
Chicken
Tikka,
kofta
and
kebab.
We
also
had
the
stuffed
pigeon,
okra
tajin
and
a
cow
organ
dish(I
cannot
recall
the
name).
All
the
entrees
also
come
with
appetizers
which
include
spreads,
salad
and
fresh
bread.
Also
highly
recommend
the
green
soup!
It
was
such
a
lively
and
fun
spot,
everyone
was
having
a
good
time.
They
were
playing
Arabic
music
and
some
of
the
wait
staff
was
dancing
and
moving
about.
I
almost
didn’t
want
to
post
this
review
because
I
didn’t
want
to
give
the
secret
away
if
the
locals
wanted
to
have
a
place
away
from
tourist
but
it’s
so
so
good
that
I
feel
I
have
to
at
least
for
the
business
owners
to
know
what
a
fantastic
establishment
they
have.
Thank
you
for
welcoming
us
and
your
hospitality.
