Not surprised with the low reviews for this place. I rarely give reviews but I feel compelled to here. The staff are routinely passively aggressive, with an arrogant attitude. They seem not interested in providing service to people unless that person is spending money with them. If they are supposed to help with the filling of government forms then they become impatient and uncooperative very quickly. This was not for me but for people in front of me. Australia Post needs to investigate this branch and have them change their attitude.

Worst customer service I received in post office and I wish I could select lower than 1 star. They (all of the members) make everything so difficult. I went for passport application and they rejected that for no good reason. Went to Harrisdale post office and the same application was accepted without any issue.

Three staffs at this place left my sister in tears and made my grandmother (who has mobility issues and never swears) cursingā€¦..Seriously, itā€™s a passport application. Do your freaking job, donā€™t make them back and forth as it is high taxing on her muscles. If you canā€™t, I donā€™t think you guys are fitted to run an AusPost franchise. Highly do not recommend this place for their terrible customer service and condescending attitude.

Most unhelpful. I'm waiting for a parcel from U.S. it's been cleared by customs in Welshpool and has been sitting there for several weeks. Lady at the counter completely dismissed me. Couldn't/ wouldn't give me details of location of "customs in Welshpool". Insisted it had nothing to do with Australia Post, but suggested I google Australia Post in Welshpool. I would have thought there was an agreement between different postal services ????? In the reverse, Australia Post doesn't deliver the the U.S. UPS takes over delivery upon arrival in their country.

Very unpleasant and unprofessional staff. Especially, that two ladies. I don't think they even know the meaning of customer service. I went there for my work. They were very rude and they were staring at one lady like they gonna kill her. The one who was dealing with me. She didn't had her presence of mind in the work and she did my work wrong. I had a very bad experience and I never ever anyone to visit there.

Not one to write google reviews but seriously just left this place in tears after a failed attempt at a child passport application. Made appointment as required waited 40 minutes in line despite appointment and then told to stand aside whilst numerous people had passport photos in front of me. Finally an hour after the appointment time its my turn! I said i had an appointment an hour ago, the post office worker looks at the clock- shrugs shoulders. Passport form is then immediately rejected due to my completing it online and printing the form not to the prescribed scale..... post office worker says so you need to make another appointment. No thank you i will go somewhere else- not that they are bothered.

very rude customer service!!! never ever going back again. I came on monday, they make me wait 30min and said need to make appointment, the day of my appointment, i came at 9am as appointment time, but they kept me wait and take 3 others instead of me that already make booking. the first one make passport too, but they take them instead of me that take booking, so whats the point of making apointment?! so, i go to Harissdale post office, dont need to booked anything, and very good customer service over there.

Tried to send a parcel to Paraburdoo. I checked online first, entering my dimensions and even had a quote ready to go. But apparently my parcel was too big. I disputed this decision but was told they canā€™t help me. I took my parcel to another Australia Post store who helped me straight away and had no idea what the problem could have been at the Canning Vale store.

Do not go to this place to do passport applications! I was told by the lady working there that the photos on both my childrens passport applications had to be redone as they werenā€™t of good quality. To save the hassle, I got them to do it for me at $20 each child, then to be told they couldnā€™t process it because of mistakes and that I had to get them initialed (fair enough!) she looked the application and said everything else was fine. Second visit told again they couldnā€™t accept it due another issue. Then said the photo wasnā€™t that great. When I said they did it, she back tracked and accepted it. Two weeks later I told my 18yr old child I would go with her to her appointment Incase she was also scammed into another photo (and yes they tried). Sure enough same thing. What made it worse was she also wouldnā€™t accept it because a mistake on the back of her photo can not be initialed. I called passport office in Perth and they advised me that this is false and they should have accepted it. Took it to another post office and they accepted the form and apologized for the other post office for not accepting it in the first place. Donā€™t waste your time at this place. Go somewhere else.

Horrible experience to get my passport photos done. The lady had no knowledge of angles and absolutely no direction given, she went on to say that its just for ID and its not that important. I wasn't looking for her opinion on what my passport pictures ment to her at all. She didn't give any care at all and just wanted to be done with. Ended up having 2 pay twice, and yet the pictures didn't come out good, very disappointing.

Honestly the worst customer service experience. Donā€™t bother going there if you donā€™t have atleast 45mins spare as you will be waiting. When you finally get to the front youā€™ll will be disappointed in the lack of help and customer service from the staff here. I will drive to thornlie for the post office in the future as they have lovely efficient staff members who know how to run a post office.

Very bad experience for passport application! The first time said the photo is not right as I did not take photo with them. And said the signiture at back of the photo is not the same as the garentorā€™s signiture (my friend signed according to the sample). The second time said I should not sign another photo as the signiture will show when they upload to computer. I asked anywhere around I can quickly do the photo print from my phone. The woman said she cannot tell! At least you said yoi can go to officework/kmart! I was in the queue and people behind been served by another people because she is angry. The staff said sorry but cannot feel they truely sorry! That is why this place got Google rating for 2!!! I WILL GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS POSTOFFICE!

Consistently keep changing their business hours without correctly publishing on auspost website and calling card. They allow drivers to just left calling cards without trying to deliver parcels.

Iā€™ve been there twice to do things passport related. The lady that took my 19 month old daughterā€™s photo really maintained her patience in trying to get my daughterā€™s attention to get that shot. I didnā€™t feel harried despite this being at peak time where there was a snaking queue behind us. She advised that we be extra careful with the pictures. No ink smudges. Some may take this the wrong way and find their tone abrupt. But itā€™s really to make sure that your passport application goes ahead without delays. Basically do it right the first time. So I went back to lodge my passport with them at another time despite the horrid Google reviews. And I really couldnā€™t fault their service at all? Please remember once again that Passport applications need to be double/triple checked because if there were issues, itā€™d take longer for it to be issued - they are only doing their jobs to ensure that. And with the extended wait times of 10 weeks now? Kindness goes both ways. And good luck with your passport applications everyone.

Inflexible and poor service, first staff could not find my package. And second staff found it but could not authorised even though I had been collecting on my wife behalf in the past. Thought the passport service that get worse, package as well.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Lady working there was very unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. I agree with all other reviews mentioning this lady, she must be the owner if she hasn't been fired. staff should go through customer service training. <3

Orginal: They actually try their hardest not to help. 2 star rating Edit April 2022 I increased my rating up as I have been in several more times and have noticed the woman who was terrible is now gone The customer service has greatly improved since my initial review There are long lines but the staff seem to get through them quickly. The staff are willing and able to help Only downside - there is a sign at the front that says they do infant passport photos. They do not. This doesnā€™t upset me per say, just wanting to provide people that information if they are needing passport photos for an infant

Worst experience ever, left this place in tears after trying to lodge my passport during my work break. They said that one of my documents had been photocopied even though itā€™s been used with no issue for over 30+ years ! Went to a post office near my house and they were able to process my passport right there and then and had no issues with any of my documents.

Did not like the way I was treated as a person of colour. Try to be more kind to people and not scornful. It still hurts just thinking about it

Theyā€™re not just willing to help and make things inconvenient for customer! Really hoping not to deal with their services anymore. So annoying how the delivery guy donā€™t knock at the door and next minute your parcel ended here which of course they will make difficult for you to claim! Not helpful people

my first visit and will be the last too. the guy saw me lining up in the wrong area, said nothing; he saw me holding materials for passport application, said nothing while i was waiting, just told me that they dont accept walk in passport application on Sat after my wait though it was not stated online. very indifferent customer service

Place was packed and the staff worked through the line well. Lady who served us for a passport photo for my daughter was very pleasant. I read all the bad reviews and that certainly wasnā€™t the case with us.

Bad customer service, very rude and doesnā€™t even deserve a single star. Went there to process my passport as i am renewing my old passport, The old chinese lady then started crossing everything down but when she asked me if i am going anywhere soon she told me that i need to go to the city to do it there. While she was crossing everything down she saw me holding my pictures that i have got taken from another aus post and said that its wrong to have them all signed up at the back and asked me if I wanted to get another photos taken from them. How ridiculous I definitely think that its a scam base on what i read from some of the reviews here. If you want to save some time donā€™t go to this place!!!

I'm very surprised at the poor reviews for this post office. I have been using this branch for 18 years and always had competent and polite service. Passport photos are a pain. I did have photos rejected by this post office that were taken by their own staff. Perhaps due to the strict requirements of the passport office there may need to be a review of training for all staff as interpretation of picture quality is a subjective task. In my 18 years of using this office I have seen the staff persevere through unacceptable treatment from customers. Good service should be a two way exchange. I like this office and the staff and find them competent. It is my belief the vast majority of people in this area would agree but typically I do not feel compelled to leave reviews after healthy straightforward transactions. This might explain the disproportionate representation of 1 star reviews.
