Unmissable stop on your trip to Buenos Aires. Nature lovers and especially birders, meet in this incredible place. With more than 300 bird species you can appreciate them very well because they are protected. The reserve is completely safe inside or outside, but it’s better to go with a guide. Don’t miss the external side walking and looking the birds from the sidewalk flees (even on Monday when the reserve is closed). Worst days to go: Saturdays and Sundays on the afternoon because are crowded

A great little escape right near the city. I would suggest hiring a bike before heading as the walk would be a fairly long one. Toilets are located about halfway around the park and there are plenty of stops and things to do on your way around. Take some lunch and make a half day of it. A great relief from the hectic city.

Great place for jogging, walking or cycling. Just don't go there during the mosquito invasion like we did.

Awesome to find this kind of places close to the downtown. If you need some green, stop by. There is one entrance to make to the other side of the water and inside of the park to the north, make sure you target that if you want to go deep into the green. But can be a kind of long walk. Food trailers are only local sandwiches, and you can pay only with cash. It’s a place where you won’t see much people, but looks safe though. I was there in October and I could see different types of birds in a short walk from the side of the city.

Beautiful place to take a walk and outside the park you can have a choripan and drink and relax. Lots of ice cream vendors go by as well as guys selling beers and a few with full bars

+ Great place to spend a few hours. Free admission, you can see some birds, parrots and snakes. You get to the sea, it was really windy today but people were having a picnic and enjoying the place. Bicycles, people jogging, walking and enjoying the area. - There are thousands of mosquitoes here with the infestation of the city. Be sure to bring repellent with you. I don't know if it's always the case or not.

It's a nice place, but if you're a tourist with limited time in Buenos Aires, I guess you can skip it; there are plenty of other things to do here

There are always a lot of people but it does not feel crowded. You can walk, bike or jog, and have a snack at the end of the road by the sea. Most areas are shaded, many tall mature trees along the paths. It's a good place to wind from the crowded city. Definitely worth a visit.

Though I think it is good to have a undeveloped area not covered in concrete and non-native grass for the public to enjoy, I don't think it is good if you cannot touch the water because of safety concerns. A beach is not a beach if you cannot wade in the water! Its a toxic cesspool that still has a cement mixer currently in use 10 feet from the water's edge! How is it that one can turn a blind eye to such ecological nightmares and pretend it is just another sunny day? Anyway instead of mixing more cement I hope that this "ecological reserve" can spend more time and effort on planting native species and eradicating the multitude of non-natives unless one is just into breeding mosquitoes and saving invasive species.

A fabulous natural area on the coast where Buenos Aires city meets the sea. Many various tracks for walking and cycling. Ideal for a break from the city, and it's a walkable distance. We saw a variety of birds and small reptiles. Make sure to take drinks and have a meal before or after visiting.

It's a beautiful huge reserve in the middle of Buenos Aires. One can imagine how all the land looked like in this area. I suggest you rent a bike to tour it all around. Beautiful trees and wildlife. It's a good place to wind from the crowded city. Definite worth a visit

I went at night from like 11:30pm until around 1am. I was able to see some aspects of the local night life. People out with their whole families, with their kids and babies, just hanging out, eating, some dancing. There were also a lot of statues, trees, different places to sit and hang out. The actual reserve was closed because it was night but I could kind of see across the river into it.

A beautiful park just east of Puerto Madero. It's an oasis of peace and greenery a short distance from the city centre. I reached it on foot from Florida and Lavalle. The lagoons have charm with birds and other animals living in or around them (if you're lucky, as I was, you could spot the magnificent lagarto overo). The views over the skyscrapers of Puerto Madero are spectacular. The coastline of Rio de la Plata, with its murky waters, is much less inspiring. There are toilets at the entrance and inside the reserve. Street food and drinks can be purchased just outside the northern gate (and probably the same at the southern end) Bike rental was not available when I visited (the paths are ideal for jogging and cycling). . A circular walk will take 1-2 hours.

What a wonderful nature preserve in the city. You can hear the animals and see the ducks and the birds. The walkways are very comfortable and the sidewalk is convenient. Great

We went there a little misinformed about what the experience would be like. However, still a great place to go for a walk and get away from the city. You're a little removed from the nature but it's a calming environment.

A place to wonder and to see the best views of the river and the city, bring water and sunscreen. New walkways have been added perfect for bird watching. A lot of native species show

A great place for jogging or leisurely walks. Amazing nature, interesting animals, diverse plants. It was not possible to explore the entire eco-park in one visit. We will definitely come back again. Unfortunately, the reserve was closed on December 21 (entrance near the Fuente de las Nereidas fountain). It is likely that the cleanup of the paths after the hurricane has not yet been completed. Despite this, the walk along the embankment was wonderful. A variety of birds flew around and sometimes sang.

Amazing experience - the reserve was full of wildlife! Woodpeckers, tegus, rodents and endless aquatic birds. Beautiful newly built walkways and fascinating array of biodiversity, with a stunning vista of the city as well

Located right before the Ecological Reserve, make sure you try the street found, you'll see a lot of food trucks offering that. Also nice for a run or just a walk.

  • 5/5 Nelieta M. 4 years ago on Google
A beautiful place to walk or work out. You almost feel like you are not in the city. Entrance is free. There are always a lot of people but it does not feel crowded. There are chemical toilets along the route and a restaurant with toilets. Highly recommended if you want to escape the chaos of the city.

Loved it. I went for a walk in the morning. Lots of birds from hawks to parrots. Nice to see green after a month in the desert from peru, Bolivia, Chile and Mendoza. In the morning, it was joggers, bikes, and a few walkers. It was nice and peaceful. The paths are well maintained and clean. Just off them there is some trash at some spots. Nothing a couple hours by a 100 people couldnt clean up in the huge park. The circle took me 3 hours with plenty of stops to look around.

It's a city park. There are aspects that are nice and good for bird watching. Wasn't what I expected, I'd consider it more of a long walking path, and I was surprised that even though you get really close to the ocean you never really get a chance of a proper view.

Amazing reserve a few steps away from Puerto Madero. Take a walk at the reserve and then go to try a choripan served by locals at the food trucks

The best place to visit while having a trip in Buenos Aires. The green environment meets with the ocean. My personal experience was great. We started to feed the doves and all of a sudden it became a bird watching show. Lots of birds joined to team. My advice is get some bread when you go there...

Otro lugar impresionante.

You can just enter at certain hours, on one entrace by bike and the other entrace, 30min walking away, by foot. They don't specify that on their website. They don't specify either that you cannot walk in the area for more than half an hour because the path is closed by a fence. I really don't get why, I don't see any health benefit of it. Terrible first visit.

This is probably one of the lungs of Buenos Aires. Although there are many parks and green spaces throughout the city, none are as beautiful as this one. As the name puts it, this is a nature reserve, you can find many different species of trees and wildlife, but don't expect to find it there in plain sight. There's a lot of people doing sport so the paths are crawling with runners, cyclists and people walking. Still, very recomendable to go and take a stroll.

Very good, but some areas seem closed for no apparent reason. Anyway it was a nice bike stroll.

Super nice place to go for a long walk or bike ride and feel a little bit that you left the city behind. It may be one of the only two or three places in Buenos Aires that can make you feel like that, even in this covid era.

I heard many years ago about this Reserve and how much improved Costanera. Where it was used to drive by and be afraid of the surroundings have became a nice and safe place to walk, ride a bike, gather in front of the river or just watch beautiful trees, animals, town mixed with wild life. There are bathrooms, different trails (in length), people in charge taking care of the place. Clean, free, and impeccable place to enjoy solitude, life, nature, exercise, breath and share your existence with others or wonders. Don't forget to visit Las Nereidas Fountain (just in front of) master piece sculpture of Lola Mora. Enjoy!

The idea of the ride with the Argentine elite athletes is very good, in a beautiful natural environment. Sadly most of the monuments were vandalized. Guillermo Vilas had his arm and tennis racket torn off. Messi's was stolen in its entirety. Incredible and sad.

It's alright to see but not much there. With good luck you meet the black and white lizard, with bad luck some poisonous snakes. For running it's probably good and there's a unofficial beach in the middle.

An incredible refuge in the big city! You can walk the main paths, have a picnic in the designated areas, all clean and well-maintained. Or you can walk off on the side routes, immerse yourself in nature. The existence of this nature preserve really makes this city much more livable!! And it's free

Nice area of the city for a nature walk while still in Buenos aires. The park is quite large with well established trails. Also there are very limited hours until like 5p most days but closed on Mondays. And also part of the park is under construction. But good for a stroll through nothing too crazy though.

Whether for a walk, run or bike ride, or to find birds, this is a great place. They have recently added quite a system of boardwalks which takes you over the water (if there is water) which were fun to explore. We went on a weekend and it was packed with runners and bicyclists. If you want to focus on birding, go as early as you can and avoid the weekends. But even though we were late morning on a Saturday, my bird app and I found dozens of birds. And the views of the city skyline from the reserve are stunning.

Worth a visit, you can take the Ecobike to go around the park, or walk the distance. It is big, with some 2km to 8km on the suggested routes, so if you'd like to go all the way around it, a bike is really helpful. You'll see many people walking or running, there's a beautiful view of some of the lakes inside it, and a view of the Paraná river as well. There are lots of nature, birds and animals to see, listen to, and enjoy a beautiful time with nature :)
