The place which I'm seeing from my early days into this world. A small town surrounded by thick forest, beautiful river flowing by the temple, village fair in December month, devoted people, those old days were just a memory now. Nowadays in the name of development whole Kukke Subramanya town lost its originality, they removed government school, buildings on right side of the temple etc. It hurts to see tourists ruining this beautiful place. They will be throwing waste everywhere around, urinating in open space, it becomes worse near the bank of river where people bath!! "If you are coming to a divine place to pray for your sins, You should not be repeating the same mistakes!" that's a common sense! School/college students are cleaning the mess you left behind.. If I visit your home and throw things around, will you be happy to invite me again? No right? Same, don't ruin my native place. Come, visit, feel blessed, just take memories, don't leave your carbon footprints! humble request

It's my First time visit to this Historic devasathana with high vibration feeling. Even if it's bit crowded but well managed and with amazingly clean surroundings and tourists tend to respect that.Clear cut instructions which is very helpful. I feel I am blessed by visiting this temple. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sri Kukke subramanian Swamy is Swamy Kartikeyan who left Kailash after marriage of bhagwan Ganesh and came this Kumar Parvat shrankhala to stay here. He is also known as skand and khanmukha and dev senapati. This temple is very powerful and very beautiful and well known in south India. People used to come here for Sarp Sanskara and Kal Sarp Dosha mukti. This temple do all type of Pooja like marriage problem, hurdles in life etc.. Here you can prey what purpose you come and this is the temple no one will ask you for money. Awesome experience and with all this, this place is full of natural beauty specially in morning scene. This place has two river near to one is netravati and kumardhara. You want to come this place first you should go to manjunath temple near from here around 60 km as bhagwan shiv is the father and mata parvati is the mother of bhagwan Skand so you have to take darshan and do prayer there first. That place is also very famous as known as Dharmasthala.

Positive vibes in the temple surroundings and very near to bus stand. Male devotees are not allowed with the shirt and baniyan. Free luggage and footwear stands are available in the temple premises. No special darshans are available. More crowded in the weekends. Ghat road is very scenic and on the way try to stop at bisile view point which is very beautiful.

➡️ Temple timings are 7:30AM to 1:30PM and 3:30PM to 8:30PM. ➡️ We reached temple by bikes on road from Namdroling golden temple to here. If you come through the road it will truly be a different level of experience on the road through the jungle and more than 10+waterfalls on the road to here. ➡️ Many hotels are available around temple to stay here at affordable prices. ➡️ No entry ticket needed.

Great initiative by government and temple subordinates to cleanup complete surroundings and demolishing left complete areas to have a great view and clean hygienic places for tourists. Ample free parking and nice food inside or outside the temple You have sufficient washroom next to Temple which makes sure of clean places. A powerful place with all your dreams come true. Highly recommended place

Nice temple which is famous for Sarp pooja which is predominantly done in the mornings. If you just want to visit the temple then visit post 2 pm as you will have less crowd. You will find some cottages and resorts to stay overnight if needed.

This is a very famous temple in Karnataka and is located in a beautiful small town, surrounded by hills of Western Ghats. It seems to be a place of great reverence among the local people. Men are made to take off their clothes above the waist for some reason, and I had not seen or heard this anywhere before. Due to the high number of visitors, a small market selling toys and make up items has come up outside the temple and few pure veg restaurants are also present.

Hindu temple located in Subramanya Village in Karnataka. It’s a beautiful temple surrounded by lush green beauty and high mountains. The scenery on the roads towards this temple are beautiful with greenery on both sides. Weather here is extremely pleasant, with clouds striking the mountains and whistling sound of breeze making the leaves dance. The Temple is known for its ‘Dosh Nivaran’ Poojas that are conducted here Many people from different states visit this temple regularly. There’s a river nearby this temple. Food is provided everyday in the Devasthan to the pilgrims. There are small budget friendly motels where you can stay when you visit here. Good arrangements in the temple. Its kept very clean. You always get a divine and positive vibe here which adds more to the beauty of temple. I enjoyed my experience over here. Do visit once with family and friends. Thank You.

The Kukke Subrahmanya Temple is a famous Hindu temple. Lord Kartikeya, who is the lord of all serpents, is worshipped here as Lord Subrahmanya. Beautiful Temple with backdrop of mountains. The mountain Kumara Parvatha overlooks the temple adding a mystical charm. If seen geographically, Shesha Parvatha, a mountain shaped like a six-headed cobra. Clean and well maintained.

This temple is located in a beautiful location with good hotels around it. For anyone looking for cheap and yet clean and comfortable lodging please contact Shri Krishna residency for hotels. They are quite affordable and up to the mark. You are supposed to bathe in the river. Please do not use shampoo or soap or anything in the water. There are fishes and other Wildlife which get damaged. Please use only the river water for bathing and come out. Bus access to this location is good.

Kukke Subramanya Swamy temple is well connected to Rail and Road, KSRTC will help you reach to n fro from different part of connected cities, you can also visit Dharmasthal Manjunath temple from this place. This place is well known for Lord Subramanya Swamy, dieties perform different poojas offered to Lord Subramanya. Please wear authenic clothes, for men you need to remove Shirt n Banian and for women can wear saree, punjabi dress, do avoid wearing Jeans, shorts, skirts, Nighties and Night wear. During holidays and weekends you will find huge rush and darshan will be delayed, you can purchase special darshan tickets to avoid some queues. Post darshan you will find peace and tranquility, you might observe frequent rain during evenings irrespective of the seasons. Summers are usually hot and prepare yourself to beat the heat and rains

Great place. This place has its own history and legacy. Devotees come here to pray and get rid of their difficulties in life. This temple offers different type of poojas . They have their own website which details the entire temple routine. One can feel the positive energy when in this place. Usually it is crowded in the peek days and weekends and less crowded in the normal days. Nearby accomodations are available but it's better to book them in advance. Only government buses are available at subrahmanya.

The temple is like Kerala style architecture which is common in the costal areas. One of the oldest temple. The Subramaniya ( Murugan) is in the form of Naga. The Gopuram is typical Dravidian style which would have built later. People come here mainly to the “Parikrama” for any Ragu or Naga dosatham. These Poojas can be booked easily online. Once you have the ticket then everything is taken care by temple authorities. Dharsan queue is generally fast phase. Gents should remove their shirts and banniyan before entering to moolvar sannadhi. Idol is like snake shape and it is not like any other Subramaniya temples.

Had Devine experience being in this temple. The processions and deity idol are celestial. There is very good parking facility and decent places to stay around the temple. Annadanam at the temple is a unique experience. Would suggest people to experience if anyone happens to visit. Food is 👍 great. Good restaurants are available at walkable distance from temple. One can book utsava and seva tickets online. Traditional attire is mandatory for both men and women.

This is a beautiful temple situated around the western ghats at the Bank of the river. The temple has a peaceful atmosphere. It opens at 6Am. There is no special arrangements made for senior citizens or handicapped people. The management should work on the same.

Certainly! Visitors often praise Kukke Subrahmanya for its serene ambiance, spiritual significance, and the picturesque surroundings. Many appreciate the temple's architectural beauty and the cultural richness embedded in its rituals. Devotees frequently express satisfaction with the well-maintained premises and the warmth of the local community. Overall, Kukke Subrahmanya tends to leave a positive and lasting impression on those who visit.

Divine place but management of crowd post Covid is horrible . Everybody is literally so close to each other but that’s the reality . Gotta accept it . If you are doing seva like ashlesha Bali and nagapratishte as soon as you get down early morning go and stand in queue for the ticket . It will be Issued till 7am for that day seva. If you can find a guy who works there it’s a Charm . Everything is unlocked no queue direct entry etc benefits. Pay around 1k once all done if you find it’s worth . For us we skipped all queue from that massive crowd.

Kukke Shri subramanya swamy temple is almost 50kms from dharmasthala. Always it's recommended to visit the temple, whenever you visit Dharmasthala. Even though there's so much of crowd, the dharshana time will be maximum 2-3 hours (as of our visit). Neatly maintained, divine place. Annadhana starts from 12 in the afternoon and it's very limited timings, also in the evening it's very limited timings. Plan your journey accordingly. Prasadam bags token should be bought before entering the temple and also other pooja tokens will be issued in the same counter. A must visit temple. This review is completely based on my experience.

This richest temple of Karnataka is a must visit place if one is planning a pilgrim tour. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Western Ghats, this divine place Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple is visited by thousands and thousands of pilgrms every day. The influx of devotees is overwhelming during holiday season. So it is always better to make an off-season visit between January and March as the pilgrim rush will be relatively less and we can visit the shrine conveniently

This is a very famous temple located on the outskirts of Sakleshpur. Finding a good place to park would be a challenge here as the area is packed full of people, shops and vehicles. The temple is well maintained. I would recommend getting the hundred rupees VIP darshan ticket as the free queue can get long and take a long time. The VIP darshan in comparison was pretty quick.

No need to introduce about the place as many of them know before. Talking about cleanliness, quite good. But the management here is very poor. The queues for darshan is not systematic. They don't know to control the crowd properly. Visit on Monday evenings for special occasions but you must also bear with the crowd. Don't forget to meet the friendly elephant though.

Long term review I’ve been going to KSS since 1999 and yes places change over quarter of a century 😩 Roads from Bangalore : Shiradi Ghat is a pain when it’s bad ( I’ve done in summer , monsoon and rains ) so keep asking friends in road status before you take. Bisile Ghat is good for summer and winter. Would avoid in rains as not frequently maintained , but has become much better over last 7-8 yrs. Stay : there is now a explosion of options , to fit all budget. Take your pick. 20 yrs ago it was a place we would go to take a break. At a given point there would be 50-100 people in the temple. There was even a reading room on the main temple road where I would go read the news paper ( the paper itself would come by afternoon ) The annaprasadam in the afternoon would have 100people max and all the school kids of the village. Steaming boiled rice in bamboo baskets and a very tasty chutney was something to look forward to. Afternoon was the time to go to the river and spend time cooling off in the water. Those doing the sarpasamskara would be given tasty coffee and snacks in the evening.

Too much rush on Sunday. If you want to perform Ashlesha bhali, perform in the evening. It is auspicious and less people will be at this place. 1:30 PM after noon temple will be closed and re open at 3:30 PM. If you want to perform any other puja go early morning before 8.

A must visit pilgrim destination for Subramanya/Muruga devotees. A scenic drive enroute as it sits in the beautiful Western ghats. Easily accessible by public transport. Famous for Sarpa samskara and Ashlesha balli sevas.

A divine temple where you experience the sense of blissfulness as soon as you enter it. The location of the temple is amidst lush green forest that is feast for our eyes. The temple committee should take extra precautions during the weekends as it gets crowded very much and becomes difficult to manage people in this pandemic situation.

Really great place to visit and do some shopping for spices but not a lot of outlets as before for shopping as some temple's premises were acquired and demolished for other purpose but still a great place to visit and the food was amazing. Kindly go for prasadam for food to try Mangalore bunts and goli bajji, bonda soup if possible, avalakki.

Unless god's grace you may not get opportunity to visit this divine place and offer prayer at holy feet of lord subyamanya.i was not sure whether I could make for this trip while all my friends booking flight tickets 2 months advance as am completely held up with lots of troubles in my personal life and I completely forgot about this trip. Miracle happened two days before the trip and didn't had any obligations on planned dates and my leaves got approved without much efforts. Here are quick glimpse of trip: Day 1: journey started from Hyderabad thru flight and reached manglore around 11:30 AM. Have pre-booked a cab for round the journey.at first we had darshan at Udupi which is an hour far from manglore and then travelled to Dharmasthala for Manjunatha darshan and reached kukke subyamanya around 9. Day 2: had a holy dip in kumaradhara river and got ready for seva that we booked in advance.completely spent the day at temple premises Day 3: seva continued till afternoon and started back and reached manglore by 4 pm and stayed overnight and returned to Hyderabad on early hours of day 4

A traditional temple. For spiritual bliss one should visit this place. Remarkably clean given the number of pilgrims visiting the temple. Priests are kind and helpful. The view is great.

The temple was a serene sanctuary, steeped in ancient wisdom and tranquility. Intricate carvings adorned its walls, while the scent of incense filled the air. Devotees bowed in reverence, seeking solace and spiritual enlightenment. The sacred atmosphere instilled a profound sense of peace and connection. A truly divine experience. #SacredSanctuary

Located in a very peaceful place. parking is more than enough, don't miss out the adi subrahmanya temple just behind the main temple, if you don't want to wait in line you can get a direct entry by taking receipt for 100rs . Afternoon food is also great.

The Temple is dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya Swami who is the lord of Serpents. It's located between western ghats forests & hills. This is one of the most divine & powerful temple in Karnataka. We had an amazing experience visiting here & will visit again frequently from now on!!!!

Located for 60km from dharmastala. And majority of people who visit dharmastala visit this temple after that and is a beautiful temple with peoples beliefs that every wish here comes true and boys should remove their shirts during dharshanam. Car parking , rooms to stay and hotel are available.

One of the most magical temples. One feel so much at peace at the abode of subramania. Temple is old but well maintained. One need to be careful with the steps. Early morning darshan is when you can avoid the rush. Otherwise the temple is always busy with devotees.

Went to this place on 1st December, crazy part is we are not allowed for dharashnam if we wear shirt and banian , we have to remove shirt and banian in order to go inside , almost every temple in Karnataka follows this rule.

A Very Holy and Energised Temple dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya also known as Muruga, Karthikeya, Skanda, Kumara. The Temple is very famous for the Sarpa Dosham Nivarthini Pooja. The Kumara Parbat Mountain looms behind the Temple's entrance gopuram and the Kumara river flows nearby.
