I decided to come to Washington to find a good salon and came across the Last tangle salon. This was my first time coming here and everyone at the front desk were amiable. I went for a balayage Sera did a great job in providing me with information on the hair color that I wanted and how it could damage my hair if I went light and was glad that she told me that since salons that I’ve gone before wouldn’t tell me before hand what it could do to my hair. I will definitely come here next time for important events.

I had an amazing experience at the "Last Tangle" salon on 1900 M Street NW in Washington DC! I recently got 24" hair extensions with Hairtalk extensions, along with a blowout, styling, and highlighting, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The hairstylist who worked on my hair was not only skilled but also incredibly professional and kind. The salon's interior was beautiful, and the overall ambiance was inviting. The entire staff was welcoming and made me feel right at home. One of the little things that made my visit even more enjoyable was the complimentary coffee, tea, and water available. It's those extra touches that show they truly care about their clients' comfort. Additionally, the restroom was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Booking an appointment was a breeze, and it's clear that all the stylists here are fantastic. I can't recommend "Last Tangle" enough for anyone looking for top-notch salon services in DC. They've won me over, and I'll definitely be returning for more visits in the future!

Absolutely love this place! I’ve been going to Ola for two three years now and every time she does such an amazing job keeping my natural color but making it more vibrant. She’s always honest about what would look good and enhance your natural hair and style. 10/10 would recommend scheduling your next appointment with her!

I recommend this place 100/100. Jeff has such delicate hands and he really knows how to use his talents in his job, first they washed my hair and it was the best one I’ve gotten, they used a hair mask and they massaged my head through it, then he gave me a haircut and a cute little pink extension, with the best blow out 😍, I’m soooo in love with my hair and it has never looked so good and shiny, it has really been one of the best experiences I’ve had in a place, they’re all sooo lovely.

I have had two awesome haircuts and my first ever balayage by Sera. She is amazing! I was nervous about the balayage because I've never had my hair colored before and I'm getting married in a few months, but I'm so glad I went for it. She kept it subtle and natural like I requested but chose the perfect colors to brighten everything up and I love the end result. She also may be the only hair stylist I've ever been to that doesn't cut off more length than I ask for!

Loved my experience with Sera at the salon! I just moved to DC from Boston and was looking for someone who would give me the same level of care, quality products and attention to detail. Sera worked with me at all points to discuss the best color, styling and treatment options. She helped transition my hair from my lighter summer highlights to be fall ready. Update: I have continued to see Sera over the past few months and she is fantastic! She is an expert at balancing my color treatments and getting the perfect hue for the time of the year. The latest photos were of a balayage treatment for the holidays.

I’ve gone to this salon several times over the past few years and always request Kim. She always does an amazing job and makes me feel brand new with each cut! I have wavy/curly hair which can be tough to style, but she’s never let me down! This particular visit I had been neglecting getting a cut for months and my hair was thin and full of split ends. Kim gave me the perfect layers to frame my face and gave my hair the volume I’ve been missing! She went above and beyond today with a blowout curl look and I left feeling fabulous. Thank you Kim!!

Very good salon. I was looking for one and this is the right one for me. It is a little bit more on the pricey side but they are generous and do clean amazing work. The staff are very friendly and honest. I am coming here from now on the quality it top tier.

My husband and I have been going to Jeff and Betty as stylists for nearly 10 years, starting from when we first moved to DC, and have always had a fantastic experience. For both cuts and color, they are both outstanding and talented. We trust their instincts as stylists absolutely. As an added bonus, they’re also incredibly kind, funny, and caring people who we’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know through the years. Last Tangle is an absolute hidden gem!

Sera did an amazing job on me! She was so meticulous and experienced and she made sure to even explain how she’s styling my hair. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to experiment with a new hairstyle.

Love this salon, friendly, professional, reasonably priced. I found this salon on internet based on the reviews comments in April 2023, and I am so glad that I found it. Ola has been taking care of my hair, highlights, extensions, and certain treatment. George is extremely sweet and friendly and always help you to find best for you. I can not recommend this place enough. I hope you read this review and like me find a great place to get your hair done.

I have been going to Kim for a few years now and can’t say enough good things! She is a true perfectionist and loves what she does, and is constantly learning about new techniques and the best products. She will 100% listen to whatever you ask for, but is also great at taking charge if you, like me, are undecided at what would be best. Highly recommend!

Kim is the only person I trust in DC with my hair! She provides great suggestions to ensure your hair frames your face, especially if you struggle with volume and texture. She will never pressure you to buy extra products or unnecessary services. Kim is a true perfectionist and an artist with hair. I had a balayage from my wedding in March 2022, it still looks perfect and fresh because of her approach. In fact, she has told me at multiple appointments to save my money because it looks natural still! I already have my next appointment booked and always look forward to visiting her.

Kim at Last Tangle Salon changed my life with this haircut! When I first came to her, I had long and unshaped hair. I showed her a photo of what I wanted, and she went above and beyond. My hair is so much healthier and easier to deal with. Kim is extremely talented, great to talk to, and incredibly patient. I'll never go anywhere else again!

I have been coming to this place for months now. They have welcomed me in with open arms and continue to do a great job. I go to see Sarah who is a wonderful hairstylist. She’s awesome to talk and connect with while also giving me the best haircuts in the city. Recently we went out the norm and decided to dye my hair blonde which was my first time ever doing so. Jeff, the owner gives really good insight and is very knowledgeable on his craft. They gave me a classic 80s punk look that I’m falling in love with as well as the ladies. Thank you Sarah and Jeff as well as the ladies who shampoo/condition my hair for always giving me an amazing experience.

I'm long overdue in posting this review but I had a great experience at Last Tangle a few months ago! I was able to get in same-day for a first-time appointment, and Sera helped me achieve exactly the look I was hoping for -- super natural sun-kissed highlights. I'm going back today for a trim.

I have dark asian hair and I had recently moved here from NY and needed to find a new hair salon. I went to Kim for the first time a couple months ago and she did an amazing cut for me, while keeping the length. Today I needed to get my hair toned and Kim went above and beyond to make sure it was to my liking and my hair look so much brighter and fresh now!!! She even stayed past closing time to ensure my hair looked amazing! 11/10 would recommend you go to her.

Absolutely obsessed with my hair! This is my second time coming to last tangle salon and do not regret my experience here. Pinar is an amazing stylist and really listens and prefects my vision for how I want my hair. She colored my hair to the most beautiful dark brown and gave me the best layered haircut.
