Hi I was at my local gp (broadstreet surgery) today as I've been trying for 3 days in a row to get through the prescription ordering number to order medicines as I am a cancer patient. The medication was prescribed by my gp as the cancer had spread around my stomach causing bad acid reflux. I've been to gp as my pharmacy is aware of the issues the prescription ordering number has and said they should do from gp practice. I went there today in a ill state as I've had chemotherapy just last week and recovering and the receptionist are being rude by saying they cannot do anything for me. Even though I am really sick with this disease. I spoke to another two surgeries and the receptionist said they are also aware of the prescription ordering number problems and so are manually doing from their gp practices respectively. If this is happening to me from this surgery, God knows how many other patients like myself are being turned away. Even my specialist nurse in hospital said as the gp gave this, they should be giving due care by at least giving this medication for their own patient. I was really upset by the whole ordeal and my specialist nurse was constantly reassuring that everything will be sorted. Have reported to Coventry telegraph so waiting for their reply.

Very poor level of service and care in my experience, I dont go doctors much but always hard to get an appointment or even a call back. Some of the receptionists are rude and uninterested, not considerate at all. Even when seeing a doctor feels very rushed in appointment, in and out in 5 minutes, tried to raise other issue but not interested and said another appointment will be needed. However, I would say the nurses are really good. Receptionists really let the surgery down, who are the first point of call. Have read reviews saying biased for Indians not true, it may be more specific bias to some particular indian communities only.

The receptionists at this surgery are in need of urgent customer service and care training. I understand that they must be busy at certain times, however that is no excuse for being rude, inhumane and unsympathetic.

This is the worst GP, the doctors are aggressive and they don't treat their patients correctly. All they want is patients to register to their GP to keep it running, not to treat their problems and help them. They ignore their patients and I do not recommend this GP to anyone who has any health issues that need to be solved.

Useless. Especially the receptionist the one called Taj****a Every day they tell you to call at 8.30 tomorrow for a available appointment and when you do they tell the same thing all over again. They blatantly lie. I would leave -5 stars if I could due to all the receptionists.

Today is the third time I've called to book an appointment for my mother, only to be told to call back Wednesday. I understand GPs are really busy but there is no need for the rudeness from the receptionists something needs to be done after Looking at all the poor reviews. A complaint to the NHS will be a start.

I have registered here 2 months prior and they have still refused me, even though I had an email confirming my registration. Then they point me to a form to fill out which I have already previously done twice and had email proof of registration. I arrived in considerable pain as the women I spoke to on the phone refused to speak with me unless I came in person, even though I was calling to boom an appointment as I am currently injured. When I arrived they were very unhelpful at reception and did not aid me in any way even though I was struggling to walk. I can say nothing about the quality of care as I have been refused service here but I can say that receptionist team were possibly the most incompetent I have ever experienced, not in the way they perform their duties, but in their overall attitude and refusal to help or do anything that requires common sense. I also cannot speak on the reviews that claim they are racist unless you are Indian but when I arrived that was the only ethnicity I saw, which perhaps could suggest that they favour certain patients over others. All in all very unhelpful reception staff and if there care is in any way in accordance with that, then I am almost glad I have now registered elsewhere. I will not negatively impact this place other than leaving a review but what goes around comes around so I imagine the lives of the people working here are extremely unfortunate.

This place has gone from worse to worse, receptionist Kash is the most rudest ever along with the rest of the receptionists and will only give appointments based on favours its ridiculous they operate in this unprofessional manner and this place requires a complete staff reshuffle. Also a new dr O Aslam is very rude and unprofessional, I will be reporting this further.

Called for a phone appointment got told nothing. And to ring next day all I got offered was an out of hours appointment the following day at 8.40 in the evening. Finally got to speak to a doctor 2 days later who told me my script and blood form would be ready. Called and yet again script was not ready and hadn’t even been done and had to wait for it to be signed by gp could be Monday. Receptionist was very unhelpful and said discuss on Monday with a doctor. This is not the first time I have called for an appointment in the past and been offered nothing for my child and had to sit down the walk in centre for hours. This there receptionist staff need some customer service skills Again called today so have had to edit my review. Got told all pre booked appointments are gone. Ring at half 8 in the morning. Can not even offer me a future appointment to see a doctor. Shocking customer service and very rude. Will be looking for a new gp surgery as I’ve fed up of being robbed of with 111 or walk in centre as a response from the receptionist

Been with this doctor surgery for 44 years now and I've always felt they have served my medical needs. Two out of the three doctors are still there which is a wealth of testimonial and experience. They need to train the younger upper coming doctors before they retire. The staff are bilingual and this shows when you get old age pensioners walk into surgery and they translate into multiple languages. There's been a few occasions where a doctor wasn't able to see me or not been contacted the same day was due to me calling in late for example after 9am. So my advice would be to the people complaining is to ring at 08:30 to get into a queue just like any other service, appointments are first come first serve basis. Nationally all GP surgery's and hospitals have backlogs with appointments and shortage of doctors but it is what it is. Change is required from the government and not to blame local GP surgery's. I would just like to finish off that all Surgery's & business that are facing patients\customers should go on a customer service course. In this way, they will know how to act in professional manner when speaking to patients and know how to deal with different types of patients and situations.

Rude response from reception as usual. Was asked by NHS 111 to call and ask for a gp to call back but the rude receptionist insisted they do not offer call back services and that all doctors are too busy! Was told to go to the hospital for something which is non emergency. Can't be bothered attitude as usual

This surgery is not organised at all, receptionists are always busy talking to each other and don’t put attentions towards patients. They never give appointments

Very hard to make an appointment, they dont care about yourselves and even if you go there it's pointless carrying and not help you with youre problem.

Drs here are very thorough and take the time to listen and understand. As tough as it sometimes is to get an appointment (which is the case in many places at the moment), I feel that standards remain high at this surgery and I've always felt that my concerns are acknowledged and dealt with effectively.

I've been with the surgery for years and they've always been brilliant. The receptionists and the nurse are really friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond whenever possible. I've also seen a few different doctors from the surgery over the years and they've always been great. Definitely recommend this surgery.

I have been with Broad Street Surgery for over 20 years, from the reception and office staff to nurses and doctors, all are going every day above and beyond to assist and help patients. A five star service each time, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you to all and appreciate the effort you all put it for your patients.
