Beautiful historic building, with lovely fresh internal rooms with fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Situated in lovely grounds with a large lake surrounded by willow trees. There are games rooms and an indoor swimming pool to enjoy, too.

I have been an owner of a modest amount of shares with Wyndham Resorts since early 2001. Over the years, my family and I have had several stays at the Ballarat resort. This one is up on the top of my favourites. I love the way they have combined history, but have still managed to provide all the conveniences of our modern world. The gardens are beautiful. The historic indoor pool is so nice too!

Very pretty looking rooms 😍 And extremely well kept. The pool was the perfect temperature and was not cold even though it was 7 pm. I definitely recommend it.

Internet reception is a bit patchy. Historical building. Highly recommend the historical tour. Lovely grounds to walk around. Close to shops and a short drive to Ballarat city centre, art gallery, Eureka centre.

This place is fabulous for a weekend getaway or a week with the family! So much to do just within the resort. From pedalboats, canoes, Frisbee golf or the panning for Gold, to the games room or quiet spaces scattered around. The bikes or the pool, to the fitness centre or giant chess, you don't ever have to leave! This was our 2nd time here once in a 3bedroom, this time in a 2 bedroom both incredibly spacious. The rooms are large, floor heating in the bathrooms and great full kitchen facilities suitable for young and old!. Can't wait to come back and try the Frisbee golf! Short drive into Ballarat Central, close to supermarkets and restaurants. Well worth the visit as grounds and property are just a gorgeous part of the Ballarat history. Well done.

What a gem of a hotel. We were in Ballarat for a music festival along with 20,000 others. The hotel were aware of why we were here and didn’t judge, in fact they were so helpful and welcoming - made us feel very at home. We had a beautiful, spacious room, an easy check in and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, we’ll be back.

Good location for travel around the region and locally. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean and spacious. If you have any concern about climbing stairs make sure your booking is ground floor.

Our stay at Club Wyndham was AWESOME!!! The staff is SO friendly and courteous, the place is beautiful, it's reasonably close to Sovereign Hill (if that's in your plans), and I 100% recommend staying here.

I can't comment on the service because I've only visited family staying there. However the grounds are just lovely, the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need and the buildings are historic and romantic.

This resort offers a very different experience. Lovely staff and well maintained historical buildings. The apartments are large and thoughtfully stocked. They have provided so much for families to do for fun there. We loved it.

Nice place to relax on the 55 acre grounds, rooms are a great size and well appointed, the staff are tremendous easy to talk to and well knowledged in the history of the property. Away from Ballarat city centre but by only 7 minutes, so close enough.

heritage-listed mansion built in 1878 on an idyllic 55-acre retreat of manicured lawns, gorgeous gardens, and a sparkling lake ideal for fishing and boating. Converted into full self-contained rooms. The staff were all very knowledgeable on the history of the building, which is a plus in my books.

What a fascinating place to stay - full of history. Plenty for the grandkids to do with the playground, lake, jumping castle and swimming pool. There is also a big playground just up the road. The outdoor bbq's could probably do with a bit more cover considering Ballarat hasn't got the best weather but we hit a good patch. The first floor apartments mean you have to carry your luggage and your food supplies up stairs because there is no lift. An on site restaurant would also be handy so you don't have to cook all your meals - the Chapel? Well equipped kitchen and a big fridge.

Beautiful place the grounds are huge nice paths running through the property even is own lake. Stayed in the old house big thick walls keep the cold out mornings below -1 don't feel the cold. Very well appointed room with part kitchen, king size bed, table and chairs. Only grip is the very small bathroom and low water pressure.

Generous and well appointed accommodation in the renovated 1870s building. Picturesque grounds, plenty of amenities and activities. A quiet, out-of-town location with easy access to restaurants and shops. Helpful staff.

Worst holiday ever, Ballarat resort had several cars broken into and damaged then all vehicles to be repaired at owners expense. This has been occurring for several months and nothing put into place to stop from happening again. Manager's comments you park at own risk, what a joke would not have stayed here if had known. DO NOT RECOMMEND WILL NOT BE RETURNING

Not far away from the city. The location is also close to the shopping center area (i.e. Coles). The ambience is beautiful, relaxing, nature and the lake side. There are heaps of activities you can do just explore the place. You can do kayaking and paddle boats along the lake. Cycling is another option plus an indoor swimming pool. The fitness center is well maintained, Sauna , gym and jacuzzi (spa). You can meditate along the lake and do some walking/trekking. And cant help but to say that their toilets are sooo clean!

We had is wonderful time here, this beautiful estate combines Heritage and modern style. Hospitality was wonderful and so much to explore within the hotel and surrounding.

The hotel was ok but if they ask if you would like to sit for a 90 mins presentation, just say NO...! What they do is they try to sell some membership/credit program and if you say you are not interested, they would make you feel so uncomfortable! It was the manager in charge of that program who did that to us. Our stay was ruined by that bad experience. Will never stay in Wyndham hotels after this experience!

A step back into history is just one of the experiences at this magnificent property. Well appointed rooms with so many facilities all included. Cleanliness and comfort were a welcome feature. Set on 50acres,there was a serene atmosphere and though the resort was fully booked ,you felt you were one of only a few people. The staff in reception were very friendly and welcoming, like old friends. There are no lifts so request a ground floor if any mobility issues. A definite relaxing expetience. 🤗

An absolutely beautiful place. Steeped in history. Our suite was soon spacious & beautifully decorated & very clean. The staff are amazing.

A beautiful old building repurposed as a holiday resort. Club Wyndham had plenty of stuff to do from bike riding to pedal boating, and swimming to saunas. It's a great place to stay and bring the kids. My only criticism is that the kitchens in the rooms could do with a few more bits and pieces to round out the function of cooking.

This resort has some extremely interesting and dark history before it became Club Wyndham. It is a beautiful luxurious and comfortable place to be in, the staff are amazing, Wini will definitely help you. I recommend staying here if your looking to learn a bit of Australia's history.

Extra special property...set in 7 acres of parkland including a lake & walk/bike tracks. Canoes also available. Very interesting history. Beautifully refurbished. Large heated, indoor pool, spa, gym, libraries. We felt very welcome & nothing was a problem. We will certainly return.

Old 1800's building charm with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Had a 2 bedroom apartment, very spacious. Comfortable and hot in cold Ballarat. Water radiator heating and ceiling fans to cool. Resort facilities spread out in outside buildings. Nice lightly heated indoor pool, 2 tennis courts. Canoes and paddle boats for the lake on site use. Large Hot tub at gym, but gyms lack of equipment disappointing. Nice big ground and garden to stroll or relax around. Staff friendly. Would recommend. Will return to stay again.

Once the cleaning smell disappeared, I was able to enjoy the old world ambience of my studio apartment. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and actually took me to my room. Be aware that there is no restaurant on site but plenty of restaurants nearby. I used uber eats. I enjoyed my stay there.
