The broccoli soup was one of the best soups I've ever had and the ciabatta sandwich was really good also. I had ordered the sandwich and the soup but it was a lot so i got to-go containers and brought it home with me and my mom also agreed that it was delicious.

My only problem with this place is the person who takes our order. He is not friendly at all. When u ask for suggestions. He just shrugs. I mean cant u just recommend something? Anything?

Scrumptious salads!!! However, I was hungry within the next hour. More like starving. So order some protein, unlike me.

This has become my favorite spot! If I am in the McAllen area I stop by for my Favorite Salad.I usually order the Island Salad and the REGIA. The place is clean and well kept staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming nice music overall pleasant experience every time. I have dined in and also done take out the packaging to go go is awesome mess free.

I’ve been here several times and everything Ive tried has been really good and consistent. This time I just got the detox juice for breakfast. I really like the croissant combo, it comes with a really good dipping sauce for the chicken salad sandwich and also the island salad is really good. I also like the Campesina ciabatta. The inside is nice and clean and theres indoor and outdoor seating.

Okay, it's rare that I give a restaurant a five star review, especially when on a first visit. I'm going to go ahead with this, with caveats. The restaurant is well-situated, located at the back of a pleasant atrium, inside a strip mall. There's plenty of parking, and having the restaurant inside the atrium and not just an outdoor store front gives it added security, better environment control and more of an upscale feel. The inside of the restaurant is comfortable, clean and minimalist, with a large window into the kitchen area affording customers the opportunity to see the entire prep area of the kitchen. I really like it when a restaurateur is so confident in his/her kitchen staff that s/he is willing to show everyone exactly how the kitchen is operating, at all times. Very cool... The person who took my order was welcoming and quite helpful to me as a first-time visitor with no clue what to order. I was pleasantly surprised that a full lunch (takeout) for two, with tip, was less than $20.00... even though there were other customers, from order to exit was less than 15 minutes. I've just completed eating my chicken salad sandwich, which was delicious! The salmon salad I ordered for my colleague looked and smelled wonderful and was incredibly ample for a meal that cost less than $8.00! Add to the above how well-prepared the restaurant is to address the current pandemic, and I am obliged to proffer a five star review. Let's see how Gumbo's Deli stands up to a second visit. I can't wait!

Loved this place. They have so many healthy options. I had the four cheese ciabatta with pineapples with a delish salad with apples, cranberries, cashews and goat cheese. The combo came with a choice of cucumber lime water or strawberry lime water. They were both great. Also with the purchase of a combo you get 5 oz free of their frozen yogurt. Everything for only $6.49. Great food at great prices. My sister and daughter had the chicken salad croissant. They both loved it. My daughter is super picky so for her to like it is a big plus. The manager Carlos and his staff were all very nice and patient with us as we asked our many questions. Gumbo's Deli and Tapioca Rush are now joined. We also enjoyed some Tapioca Smoothies.

Ok people! This place is a must try place!! Delicious, fresh, and flavorful food. I would give them 10stars if I could, that's how good it is.This is the Island salad and it is to die for. It has strawberries, mango, praline pecans, cranberries and goat cheese (or panela cheese for me) and their vinaigrette dressing...dang it😋!! I also had a ciabatta bread turkey sandwich that I was soo ready to eat that I didnt even take a picture of it😔 but it was grilled to perfection. I also had a side of lentil soup, are you kidding me...super delicious! If you know me you know that I have a palate for good food and this place just hit that perfect spot in my palate! 😋😋😋 Repeater Eater?...yes please!😋

The food here was amazing. I loved it. This one was on 10th Street, but when I first ate at Gumbo's Deli, I visited the one on Conway, and that's where I got hooked.
