If you really believe and trust, this is your next spot. Peace and faith are all together. You feel it all around, let yourself the opportunity to forgive yourself and be able to be light and salt to others. It's a great place to meditate, revise yourself, and give the Holy Spirit the chance to lead you. Let everything behind and start a new life. Do not be afraid because God loves you and will intercede for you.

Fatima is a beacon of spiritual solace and historical significance. The flickering candles reflect the countless hopes and prayers of visitors, a poignant reminder of faith's enduring flame. Inside, the sanctuary reveals ornate decor and a solemn beauty, with frescoes that elevate the soul. Outside, the vast square welcomes pilgrims from around the world, anchored by the majestic Basilica that reaches towards the heavens. Fatima's sacred ground, imbued with peace and prayer, offers a profound experience for the faithful and the curious alike.

One of most holy place in Portugal. The site is huge. Whilst I was there, a Korean congregation was hearing a sermon, the priest was delivering it in Korean! So talk about faith across ethnicities. The grounds are nice for a visit on a cloudy day like this as the square has no shelter from the weather.

Certainly a place that everyone has already seen in photos, tv or internet. But if you haven't been there in person you have no idea. You feel really small and humbled when you enter the space. Everything taken with care and clean, the atmosphere touches you and you believe that something greater exists - this place shows it even if you don't believe you see the thousands that do and made this. You can be of any religion or none but when you enter this place I guarantee something will change on you

It was great. I did the candle light procession and then mass in English the next day. Everything went smoothly. You can also do the stations of the cross there and there is also five stations and prayers on a pamphlet there you can look at and do. There are so many hotels, hostels, and overall places to stay within walking distance.

A must visit pilgrimage spot. It’s vast, beautiful and gives you peace. This is a very renowned Church where mother Mary is believed to be appeared. The place is 100km from Lisbon and should be in the list to visit if you are in Portugal. The entry is free and there is no crowd on all days.

The Sanctuary is actually a complex comprising the chapel of apparitions, the basilica, and the newly built church of larger mass. For the religious devoted, I would suggest going to mass at the (relatively) newly built church - the round shape building - for mass, as it is indoor with many seats. Then can go to the chapel of apparition for their rosary session, lastly visit the basilica and pay respect at the tombs of the shepherds.

I went there to bring my mom and the place is great - even for a not-anymore-catholic as me. The energy of the place is huge and it even disguise the massive crowd and people jumping in lines (despite the religious environment, people are people everywhere I suppose). Worth going, not in a very sunny day as it might be unbearable.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima is a really beautiful place to visit. If you are able to visit that place, I highly recommend it. If you decide to do it, take your time and go through everything slowly and walk around the entire sanctuary. The place is really beautiful and worth visiting.

I'm not a religious person but I was really impressed with the proportion of this place, with the newest church having 9000 seats inside! The whole sanctuary is huge, super organized and clean. The pieces of art inside the basilica and outside are modern and slim. The entire place has a clean style, much less ostentatious than other religious places, except for the size, of course. The city runs around it, basically. There are big parking spots around the city, with signage everywhere. Also places for motorhomes. I was also surprised with the diversity. Only the short time I was there, I could see 3 short masses with one black priest, and one mass in Japanese with a Japanese priest. They also have rules and security around reinforcing it.

A visit to Fatima is a must; I recommend at least a day trip here because it is a big and takes a long time to reach from Lisbon and also If you want to explore the area around it. The sanctuary is massive and circulates you to a spiritual connection, in addition to the beauty of the monument, which is undescribable and structured. Along with this spot, I recommend going to attractions such as the Hungarian Calvary (valinhos), where you can see the views that do justice if you walk for some time or drive your own vehicle, and don't forget to visit the Parish Church of Fatima.

It was a serene experience - simple yet elegant. It draws a person to prayers. Without the show and pompous of the vwealth that the church had accumulated as we can see in some other places in Spain and Italy

Out of season but still a bit crowded. Spent 3 days with friends, who celebrated her 60th Birthday. Had a very good Taxi firm who gave us trust, safety feeling. Especially Mr.J.Paul and George who drove us to the airport.Thank you again for the very good service.

Huge grounds within the premises that can accommodate thousands of worshippers. Went on a weekday which was not crowded and impressed by how vast this place is. Agree with another reviewer that it's a religious tourist trap with tens of souvenir shops lined up outside the grounds to pitch the tourist dollars. Restrooms are readily available!

We went in as Sunday mass was in progress. And even though there were hundreds of people there, it felt very peaceful and calming. It was very touching to watch many people walking on their knees to the sanctuary and people lighting candles. Also saw the piece of Berlin wall. Outside of that it has become a tourist spot. I guess it is hard to avoid that when so many people visit it.

The Sanctuary of Fátima, formally titled by the Catholic Church as Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, is a Marian sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima, located in the place of Cova da Iria, in the city of Fátima, municipality of Ourém, in Portugal . The Sanctuary of Fátima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children – Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto in 1917 Its magnitude and relevance from a religious point of view has long been consensually recognized, nationally and internationally. By express will of the Holy Apostolic See, this is a National Shrine. It is also one of the most important Marian shrines in the world belonging to the Catholic Church and the largest international destination for religious tourism, receiving around six million visitors per year. It was distinguished with three papal gold roses and visited by Popes Paul VI (1967), John Paul II (1982, 1991 and 2000), Benedict XVI (2010) and Francis (2017).

This is the holiest place in Portugal and we were able to visit it on a very rainy day. Despite of the rains we were able to hear mass in the chapel of the apparitions. We then went around the huge facility and visited the main Basilica and the other chapels and exhibitions. It was a great experience. A must visit in Portugal especially if you are a catholic.

I had a wonderful spiritual experience in Fatima! The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima is so beautiful! I participated in the Candlelight procession on two nights, and the Sanctuary was beautiful when it was lit up. The singing and all the people in the procession was a once in a lifetime experience! It was amazing to see the resting places of the two shepherd children Jacinta and Francisco. My visit here definitely strengthened my relationship with Our Lady of Fatima!

Beautiful and interesting. My mother from Mexico is named after this place so it was a special visit on Christmas. Did not pay to enter. Restrooms were free and very clean. Impressive place to be for a service.

A must for anyone who believes in the miracle of the virgen of Fatima. Beautiful and relaxing plaza with an amazing church. Lots of people praying or simply walking around peacefully. Many nice shops around with different prices. I recommend buying a nice rosary at the local shop next to the sanctuary.

A large and nice Basilica and Sanctuary with a nice small park. There is a large area for people to walk around and is used during large events or important sessions. Many nice spots for photos. Very windy when I went there and is a bit cold, prepare a jacket when visiting there. Although the one in Vatican is nicer and larger, but it is still beautiful inside.

A fantastic experience during my visit at the time of a weather outburst of heavy rain in the midst of some of the most wondrous signs sent for me to capture in the fleeting moments that they appeared.

This is a place to go go go go!! It is full of positive energy. You see people coming from all over the world to worship La Virgen de Fátima. The Sanctuary of Fátima is as astonishing church. The 3 children that saw the Virgin are buried in this church. It is a beautiful story full of love and devotion. Definitely a place to visit and stay a few hours. I will definitely come back to this place.

We went in a pilgrimage to Fatima, Lisbon. We arrived on a Sunday and we were able, not only to visit the landmarks, but also to attend Mass. All the areas were filled with people praying or just quite while observing all activities. We were able to learn about Our Lady of Fatima apparitions and messages. After this visit we also went to other places related to Virgin Mary. #AburlosMochileros_Pilgrimages.

This is an interesting place to visit even if you are of a different faith. A wonderful cultural experience. The town has great spots for nativities. There is plenty of parking in the parking lots and bathrooms.

Visiting the Sanctuary Our Lady of Fatima during World Youth Day 2023 was an unforgettable experience. The beauty and serenity of the Mass touched my soul, and hearing the “Our Father” and other liturgical prayers spoken in numerous languages was profoundly moving. It was a poignant reminder of the true universality of the Catholic Church, uniting people from all corners of the world. The architecture, the atmosphere, and the shared sense of faith created an inspiring and deeply connecting experience. Whether a person of faith or simply a lover of history and culture, this Basilica is a must-visit.

This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on Earth and the message of Our Lady here is very serious.... it is very easy 12ks spiritual Grace's here too, so do not see you coming here and coming to our lady who wants to take you straight to Jesus..... Jesus is awaiting us here in any Tabernacles 24-hour adoration chapel to come and give him a little bit of love and company, and he is waiting for you also at your local Catholic Church. God bless you all. Being you I felt like I was in a train and I said to Our Lord, pinch me my Love, before I wake up.... ✝️

We stopped on the way and visited the sanctuary late at night. This was an amazing sight and I felt overcome with peace and emotions hard to explain. I am not deeply religious but I could sense the calmness and love of humanity in the area.
