Had been here for brunch. It was a Sunday but we were seated pretty quickly. There was barely a wait of 10 mins max. We started off with chips and dip appetizer and mango mint iced tea. Loved the take on the chips and dip. The dip was fabulous with smoked salmon and cream fraiche. The tea was okay very watery and unsweetened. We had to ask for sugar. We then got eggs Benedict with fried chicken and skillet number 2. Loved both the dishes. The skillet had a sour and tangy soupy broth with potatoes and poached eggs served with pita. The egg Benedict was delicious as well. However the fried chicken lacked seasoning. Would have loved if it had a little more flavor to it. It came with a side of fried potatoes and arugula. The portion sizes were good and the food was very filling. Friendly service and comforting space.

Loved our meal at the Common, definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots in Bay Ridge! Had great options for brunch and lunch. We enjoyed the waffle and chicken, sausage skillet and fish and chips. Also ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella toast, everything came out quite quickly and it was all delicious! I also really enjoyed the pistachio latte iced - creamy and packed with pistachio flavor. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend and certainly will be back again!

Had the most wonderful breakfast with my fiancé while visiting Bay Ridge. We had the three poached eggs with meatball stew in a skillet and the avocado breakfast burrito. Food is delicious and we had a great window seat to soak in the sun. Amazing atmosphere. Would definitely return again. 🍳 ❤️

Officially one of my new favorite spots, the food was super delicious with many unique options (so I’ll definitely be back for more) and the staff was friendly. I gave the chef a compliment on my way out and he was very courteous and thankful. Had the sausage skillet, quinoa bowl with pulled pork, and we topped it off with the skillet pancake. They don’t take reservations but the wait was under 20 minutes. Highly recommend, great place 👌

Voted THE BEST pancake my husband and I ever had lol.. the skillet pancake with the condensed milk and crumbs are out of this world. The chicken mouse and pita and the skillet eggs are also delicious. Honestly everything I’ve tried there so far has been great. I keep coming back with friends to continue to try more thing on their menu. I love this hidden gem in bay ridge.

Just enjoyed a wonderful piping hot breakfast on a freezing New York day. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and placed my order. The woman at the counter was super friendly and made me feel welcome. I got the grits and sausage plate to go. When I got to my destination, about 10 minutes later, the food was still nice and hot. The creamy grits with cheese went perfect with the sunny side up eggs and the smokey flavor of the sausage. The spinach was a nice touch, and the tomatoes were interesting. They added a juicy sweetness but I could have done without them. Hands down will return here for the grits and to check out the eggs Benedict. Thanks for a great start to my day!

First time at The Common, and it was SO GOOD! Great service overall. Chicken Liver (really delicious) and Cavatelli was amazing even our toddler loved it. Had the chicken and waffles with egg, DELICIOUS. Beet salad and potato appetizers as well really good.. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Also had high chairs for the kiddos. Will definitely be returning to try other plates on the menu. Very nice brunch/lunch spot for anyone!

Had brunch with friends and although the reviews I read, warned me of young servers, I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is small but clean and the service extremely slow. It took almost 20 minutes to get coffee. We ordered the chicken and waffles (interesting flavor with cheddar but chicken was overcooked and it was just a thigh cutlet so won't order again); Latin Breakfast and California Omelet (other dishes were enjoyed). The worse part of our experience was when I asked for water and then my friend did the same, the server took my glass and placed it in between her arm pit and breast. I would not eat here again.

Definitely worth the visit to The Common! Food was beyond my expectations, the ambiance was great, it was crowded for a Tuesday morning (I was on vacation), but got a table rather quickly. New favorite breakfast spot in Brooklyn!

The hidden gem in South Brooklyn. The chef has the most interesting and delicious creations. I always get the pistachio latte is the best I’ve had. The only catch is that you have to wait for a seat, so plan ahead, put your number down, and then wait in your car if it’s cold out.

I had a wonderful experience at The Common Restaurant. The breakfast I chose was delightful, especially the ratatouille which exceeded my expectations. The combination of three poached eggs and brioche toast was a perfect match. I'm already looking forward to coming back for this same delicious meal! Kudos to the chef!

I am from Canada and have been to a lot of good breakfast places, but this one is definitely among the top 5. The service was excellent, and the food was amazing. I was blown by the skillet menus - not salty, not blend, just right - and nothing burned, but crispy and well cooked.

I’ve been here four times and it never disappoints. I’ve gotten the skillet pancake, breakfast ratatouille, avocado breakfast sandwich, and California omelet. Each dish is made to perfection with friendly service.

I was a bit worried at first. The menu is very busy and it feels like every recipe has a thousand ingredients. I was happily surprised by how much I liked their breakfast sandwich. It’s petite for light appetites. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I would skip the mint tea, tastes like cinnamon.

First time here with my husband. Been wanting to try this spot for a while. We came for breakfasts but was told from the waitress we can order the lunch menu too. Why no steak and eggs in a lot of brunch spots anymore ? Smh. We had the Californian omelet and the in a skillet Lebanese five spice stew. I really enjoyed the stew. It wasn’t too heavy. My hubby enjoyed the omelet and we were both full. The coffee wasn’t the best but overall the atmosphere was great.

Our food was outstanding. Def worth the travel. Portion sizes are small for the price, but the taste somewhat makes up for it. I even tried a avocado smoothie, which was so yummy!!! We had the The smoked salmon avocado toast (I got a side of pesto - which helped a lot!) The Skillet Pancake The Cheesy Grits and Sausage. Service was a bit delayed, but they were doing several things at once. It feels like a homey place that you could go to with friends, def not fancy which is nice for brunch sometimes

The Common is one of the best brunch places in Bayridge. Ive tried all kinds of brunch dishes here and loved all of them. I always come back to the crispy potato tart. It was little too crispy today but was so good. It was cooked so well that it wasn’t burnt and it held up extremely well with the egg, sour cream, and lox topped with green onions. I emptied the entire plate and drink my wide mug of cappuccino. I was in food heaven. My wife got her Eggs Benedict and i tried each bite of her plate and that was also fantastic. The potatoes were well seasoned and had a nice bite to it. Honestly you cannot go wrong here. I recommend getting there early because the place is unfortunately small and you can be waiting to be seated

Three of us went and ordered something different. Everything was delicious! They don’t take reservations so we waited an hour for brunch on a Saturday, which was expected. Perfect spot for brunch.

Really good brunch, interesting dished that are pretty large portions. My friends and I got the chicken liver mousse and Spanish breakfast and it was great; chipotle sauce was soo tasty. The wait was like 40 min so they took our name and called us when our table was ready; seems like a popular brunch spot and I see why! Will definitely come back :D

What a delightful spot for brunch! The skillets are delicious, comes out hot and with a generous portion. They do not take reservations; my wait time was about 15 minutes. Plenty of attention to detail from their table setting to wall decor. Had takeout of their pierogi and it was delicious after a quick warm up in the microwave. Quality of service was superb, with a warm farewell from the staff as I exited the restaurant.

We live in the area and finally we got the chance to taste the food at this cafe. The place is cozy and the food is delicious and healthy. The staff is very polite and welcoming. They definitely know what a customer service is. Food on time, coffee on time, need to share a plate - that’s noted too without you asking of it. Will definitely be coming back here for breakfast

Amazing brunch and lunch spot! It’s fast becoming our go to spot! Everything we’ve ordered this far has been delicious. There are many more items on the menu that we want to try so we will definitely be coming back! P.S. don’t let the crazy wait time deter you. They usually tell us 45 min to 1 hour wait and then we get called within a half hour.

The Common is FANTASTIC! The food, drinks and staff are truly amazing. My favorite drink is the pistachio latte… perfect everytime! I have always tried different food options and have never been disappointed. I just tried the Skillet Pancake and it is now my new favorite. 🙌🏻 Highly recommend!

My friend and I went to the Common for brunch. It has a smaller (but nice) dining room, so we had a short wait. To be fair, we came during brunch on a Sunday. They took our number so we were able to shop nearby until a table was ready. The service was friendly, and the food was really good. In particular, I liked the potatoes, which tasted clean even though they were fried.

Great variety of brunch and lunch options. Foods got real rich and great flavor, not your typical standard diner food - it's got some flair. Shared the smashed young potatoes, which has great toppings but wish they were hasselback potatoes. Also got myself the grilled sausage with baked eggs skillet - really nice and filling. Skillet pancakes were fluffy - tasted like a marriage between corn bread and a cinnabon. Overall a great menu, service was excellent. Place can fill up quick due to the limited amount of tables, so plan ahead.

Delicious Saturday Brunch! Banana Smoothie to drink and Inside Out Truffle Bun to eat. Both were a fantastic treat. The customer service was outstanding and the wait was very short. This place was recommended to us by our neighbor. We went around 10:30 AM on a Saturday, party of 2.

Absolutely amazing food, this was my first time here but not the last, I highly recommended. Great service, food came out quickly and I wanted more. The smoothie was great and the pear drink was delicious.

Ventured into the breakfast restaurant craving a homey vibe, and I found just that. The limited seats made it feel like a personal dining experience, and the kitchen's hustle and bustle added to the charm. Locally sourced ingredients from nearby purveyors and bakers made the dishes fresh and flavorful. The carefully selected coffee beans from local roasters were a highlight, elevating the overall breakfast experience. A hidden gem that captures the essence of a comforting morning.
