    Don’t Even Try. I asked for a bagel with cream cheese and a sprinkle of bacon and got deconstructed bacon bagel with no cream cheese at all. A true art piece

    What a dismal experience! I should have heeded the bad reviews but there is not much else in terms of restaurants on Terminal 2 FFL. After standing in line for a sit-down meal for 30 minutes the hostess waved me to come over to the bar even though there were empty tables, she seemed to be the only staff other than the guy behind the bar, who was ok as he was relatively quick to get my drink and food order (the latter only after asking him for the menu!). I ordered the Little Italy Pizza and it looked nothing like on the menu picture (see photo). It tasted like stale microwave pizza. But the most offensive thing was the plastic plate and cutlery it was served on! Seriously unsustainable! Can’t you invest into some dinnerware and cutlery, serving thousands of people every month in this busy airport? Avoid this “restaurant” if you can!

    Met my needs for beer and pizza. I was wary based on the reviews here but I found the pizza just fine. More flatbread than pizza, but the topping were fresh. I had the Grandma which is topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto. The tomatoes were canned (which is fine by me) but the mozzarella and pesto were fresh which I really enjoyed. Pair that with a Sam Seasonal and you have a decent pre-flight meal in an otherwise lacking terminal. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful, too. I’d come back.

    I should have read the reviews before ordering. Your bill is charged 18% gratuity for zero customer service. I had the meatball sub. The meatballs were whitish/gray with no flavor. They were definitely frozen and tasted like they were boiled in water. Don't walk, but run from this place and look for other good options.

    I did not even get the chance to eat at this restaurant. I suppose I should count my blessings. I went to the carryout counter to order some pasta to-go. The employee told me to go to the bar area on the other side. Okay, no big deal. I approached the bar area and asked if I could place a food order to-go. That employee told me I needed to go BACK to the carryout side. I went back to the carryout side and told the same employee that I was told to return there to order my food. She told me I’d have to order it from “her” (pointing at another employee) and made a bunch of hand gestures that I didn’t understand. I said forget it and left. How hard is it to place a damn order here?! Glad I didn’t spend the $ after seeing the food is mediocre anyways.

    If I could give it a 0 I would. I can see why they add 18% gratuity because nobody who works for them is friendly. I never believed in restaurants adding tips in my bill. I tip very good when people deserve it. Half menu not available and talk about filthy everyplace you look its dirty. They got you either way when your stuck in an airport when flight get canceled and you have 1 other option to eat at.

    I went here to eat a delicious pepperoni and cheese pizza before taking the plane to Montreal, I encountered very productive and respectful employees here, the order is perfect and the price is very good. Also the cleanliness of this restaurant is excellent. This place is very convenient and this location has a bar. For my visit, I give it five stars.

    I’m not one to typically share when I’ve had a bad experience. But This food was terrible. Meatballs were cold. My girlfriend ordered the “meatball bowl”. It was cold sauce on top of cold meatballs. Her son liked the pizza. 10/10 do not recommend. Go anywhere else. Literally anywhere else. The manager had some crazy smelling BO too. Not good.

    I know you’re hankering for a good pizza pie after a long flight, but don’t be swayed by the smell of this place…Just. Don’t. If you do, you’ll be sorely disappointed. In fact you may just cry, because this pizza is AWFUL. Case in point: The white chicken pizza. It tasted like something the makers of hot pockets conjured up! And if that weren’t bad enough, 30 bucks for two pizza slips, two sprites, and a Perrier! If that isn’t the highway robbery of the chain gang’s garbage clean up…

    I had the meatball sandwich and it was a nice tasty portion of food. I do recommend it. The customer service is just okay. They didn’t threat us badly like some other people, but they obviously don’t have people skills nor do they care.

    My husband and I were seated at the bar of this restaurant on 2/27/23. There was a Caucasian gentleman who was seated at the same time as my husband and I. The gentleman next to us received a menu promptly upon being seated, received food and a drink before Michelle even acknowledged that we were there. There was also a Caucasian woman who was seated about 5-10 minutes after we were seated and she received a menu and prompt service as well from Michelle. About 5 minutes after Michelle gave the gentleman next to us his food she then asked if we had been helped and when we said we hadn’t she finally gave us a menu. After receiving a menu we did not receive any further assistance. My husband and I decided to leave after being at this bad for about 45 minutes without water or anyone taking our order. I have never received such poor service. The bar was not busy and as I stated the Caucasian gentleman and woman that were seated at the same time as us and after us were well tended to, he finished his food and drink before we decided to finally leave. I hate to say but it seemed as if we were invisible and I have never felt so uncomfortable and experienced such racism as an African American couple. When we finally decided to leave the woman who seated us asked why we were in the waiting area again and we explained to her what happened and she was able to bring us to the on site supervisor who offered us some assistance.

    Torn Basil is a one of the restaurant options at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I think its of the old remaining outlets as all the other spots are updated and new. However this is the only spot in the terminal that you can sit at the bar and watch a game or something while waiting for your flight. The issue is the tvs are old and not working well. Also the pizza is just flat bread that is not very good. The bar staff is quite nice and try to be accommodating so kudos to him. Also the automatic service charge of 18% for 2 people is new and a tip on top of that?

    If I could leave 0 stars I would! Sat at the bar for 15 minutes before getting acknowledged. I was then asked what I would like and I told the bar tender. Another 15 minutes go by and a couple sits down and they are waited on instantly. I grabbed my bags and left. Stood in line for another 20 minutes to buy a can of wine. Stay far far away from this place!!

    While my Wife and I was standing in line to order, my Wife (who is pregnant) went to find and seat. One of the waiters told her that she wasn’t allowed to sit at a table and she had to move. As she was telling me this, I noticed that other people were coming in and were told to sit wherever they wanted to. I would not recommend this restaurant. I wanted to leave an email for corporate, but could not find their contact information.

    Place needs a ton of help! Call John Taffer! My family and I waited on line for 15 mins today for breakfast while three workers ignored us. There was one person in front of us! During our wait the main woman who seemed to be the boss was very unpleasant and seemed to be angry at the world! Lots of bickering going on between the staff members. We finally get someone to come over and they told us breakfast ended one minute ago lol. Are you kidding me?? Who needs those brutal microwaveable eggs anyway? Thank god for Skake Shack!

    Take out options include individual pizzas & meatballs. Pizza dough is premade. Minimal canned mushrooms placed on my small individual pizza. Pizza’s are placed through conveyor oven. Pizza came out soft & hot. Warning….there are few food options in this terminal, so this pizza appears to be an one of limited options for HUNGRY travellers. Atmosphere is dark & employees food handling practices need review (e.g. cell phone use, touching cash register, receipts, money, glove changes, hand washing ). Noted condiment barely stocked. No forks, no Parmesan cheese, no salt. Gave service 3 stars as Waitress in sit down restaurant section kindly handed me provided me w/ use of salt shaker from restaurant.

    Not a good restaurant. The pasta is low quality. Not very warm. The meatballs are flavorless...no seasonings or spice at all. The pizza is overpriced for size (personal size) and have little to no flavor at all either. This is a smaller airport but honestly this might be the worst food choice in this place. Get a burger or something at one of the other options. Don't waste your money here. We did. It was a mistake.

    This place is disappointing. It has no ambiance at all. It is depressing. I was hoping for a decent meal, but the menu was very limited. I should have checked the reviews before ordering. The pizza was terrible. I could not eat more than one bite. I left it almost untouched. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Get some chips or eat before you come to the airport.

    Ordered an egg & cheese on an asiago bagel, it was decent and filling. Paid $6.30 for it. They did/do not include 18% grayuity in the total.

    The long wait to be seated was worth it for the delicious Grandma pizza! Unfortunately I requested that mushrooms be added, and my server missed that completely. This is a pretty good option out of the limited dining options in Terminal D.

    What a horrible experience! The sign said wait to be seated, after waiting for 15 minutes and not even getting acknowledged, we went over to the To Go side and ordered. After getting our order we went to the other side and proceeded to sit down and eat! We were told we had to leave because we got our food to go!! The lady was very rude! I wish I would have read all the other reviews before eating here!

    We got in line for two takeout pizzas at 1:50 and finally walked out with our food at 2:35. They were handing out three pizzas every five minutes. The pizza was wonderful, the people not so much. One man busily making pizzas, one man dishing them up and handing them out. Three to five managers standing around not helping. In fact, they were ridiculing the man dishing up the pizzas loudly in front of all the customers. I hope he quits because this company is not worthy of having hardworking employees with incompetent managers. A message to the owners..review the footage from April 8, 2023 during this time frame.

    Don’t ever get stuck in this airport and think anyone from this restaurant is happy about thier job, has the food available, or knows anything about customer service. Clearly the older man and woman hate their jobs and people. The service was horrible, attitudes very nasty, and clearly, no managerial or organizational management experience. They need to start all over. We were in this airport for over 4 hours and couldn’t even get a decent meal. It horrible to see such miserable people at work. I will not spend my money here. You shouldn’t either!!! Rude and miserable employees.

    Disappointing food & poor presentation. Everything tasted like it was out of a can or cooked from frozen. My meatball bowl came out watery looking - thinned sauce or defrosted meatballs, not sure. The chicken Alfredo took longer because they had no choice but to cook the noodles fresh, but again, the sauce & chicken tasted straight out of a can/jar. Scarfed it down because we were so hungry upon arrival for our flight, this was our first time at this terminal, & there are only 3-ish choices of where to eat at Terminal 2 Ft Lauderdale airport. Staff was nice enough, tho not helpful enough to offer the idea that if they didn't have a drink (fountain lemonade) in the dine-in area that it could be bought at the take-away side. Now we know better.

    Shout out to Carol! Carol was a wonderful bartender and when I told her a pizza I had had earlier wasn't the best, she went in the back and made me one herself "with love" and it was phenomenal! Thanks again, Carol! I enjoyed it on the plane and made it home finally. :)

    Wow. Could you possibly get any worse service than this place? One server whole restaurant that wanted to be back home in bed than serving on a Sunday. Worst part was they automatically include 18% gratuity which is probably why she was so horrible. The food was adequate next time I will buy snacks and call it good.

    Our meal was delicious. The mushroom and mozzarella pizza was great, the food came hot and quickly. Our server Christina and her co-server colleague (Kamala?) were doing a great job of serving the whole restaurant. Courtesy and customer service with the waitstaff, and a manager who was pleased to give them her own compliments makes for a great team. Highly recommend good food inside the busy airport in Ft. Lauderdale.

    If I could give it 0 stars I would. After ordering at Express I was told to go sit at a table on the other side. After sitting down another woman told me that I had to leave because I didn’t order from her. I went back to the express side again and was told to go back to the dining side. I let her know that I was not allowed to sit there and was asked to leave. 20 minutes later when the food came out it was extremely bland and had no flavor. The pasta sauce tasted like it was frozen and low quality. Save yourself some time and order at the other pizza place next to Shake Shack!
