My fiancé and I attended "Enchanted" at Fair Park last month, and it was absolutely stunning! The light maze was incredible. He proposed that night, and the beauty of Fair Park made it the best night of my life. We had so much fun. I loved going ice skating there. We had a BLAST! If you haven't attended Enchanted before, you should definitely attend in future years. I will admit we were a little skeptical at first, thinking it was just a kid thing, but it was SO MUCH FUN for adults, too. #Enchanted

This was our second year attending the state fair of Texas, and once again, we had a wonderful time! We decided to come a little later this time and stay until close, so we could see the illumination show, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We tried some new foods this year. The fried Thanksgiving dinner was terrible, but the lobster corn dog....amazing! My hubby loved his pulled pork sandwich, and our son enjoyed his chicken tenders. The auto show is the highlight of my fair experience, any time I go to a fair, and this one is the best that I've ever seen. Love the variety of cars to look at. The dog stunt show was fun to watch, and the bleachers were full, so be sure to get there early! Can't wait for next year!

Texas state fair back in October. We had a lot of fun walking around while stopping by food stands. Definitely the scale was so Texas. This was something that I wanted to do while I’m studying abroad. But notice, the food is greasy and heavy, so be ready for that! Fried Oreo was my favorite. Kinda pricy but it’s all about the experience.

Been enjoying this place for 40 years. Beautiful area to walk around. The children's aquarium and Texas Discovery Gardens are here plus a few other museums. Beautiful scenery and views. The state fair of Texas is held here every year as well as many concerts and events. Lots of parking available. Also enjoy the lagoons with the dragons!! Always my favorite.

Amazing experience! Super organized, great staff presence! They have a Tram that shuttles you to entrance and back to the parking area since it's a long walk and inside its not too hard to navigate from attraction to attraction. The earlier you get there the better! Amazing food, great rides, awesome exhibitions, petting zoo! and shows! We loved it and will return before it ends. My one, little, mostly insignificant note: Personally, having to have coupons for the most part is a bit tedious, but, i get from the company's side why they do it and they have plenty of booths around so it's really not a hassle to get more, just to me if 1 ticket/coupon = $1 , feels like an incentive for buying higher amounts might entice us to spend more and forget any annoyance at having to change tickets and use them all or loose your money. Just a note! Great, Amazing, wonderful! Please go if you can! Everyone will enjoy!!!

I attended the Enchant Christmas event on Christmas Day. The lights were so beautiful and festive, the food was great. All the vendors were so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time.

Loved the state fair 2022. Hadn't been here since 2 years and the kids enjoyed the rides and the atmosphere. Be prepared for long lines at the rides. There were comparatively less people at the games, could be the pricing. The food options were great. Don't queue up for the coupons at the entrance, there are many booths once you get inside also but if you want to ride the Skywalk first then get the coupons at the entrance. We took the dart rail which was super convenient and didn't have to worry about parking.

Wow! The largest state fair in the world and it did not disappoint. It is spread in huge area and there are so many rides, food options and things to do. You can easily spend an entire day here. I did not eat any food so can't comment on them, but loved the attractions. Parking was $15, after 5 PM and entrance was $18. You can ride a public transport if you want to save some bucks.

Parking fills up fast so if you’re headed to the state fair of Texas I suggest you arrive early. Remember where you parked! There is a trolley that will take you up to the gate so you don’t have to walk the whole way. The atmosphere is fun and the food is always good. The deep fried Oreos are my favorite! We saw the majesty of the horse show and it was really entertaining! All in all we have a lovely time at the fair. We went on a Friday early morning and stayed all day. Traffic wasn’t too bad and the crowd didn’t pick up until about 3pm.

Family of 4 went for Enchant. It was okay. Typical overpriced fair experience. Very few vendors. There was somewhat of a variety of food. The lights maze was nice, searching for "missing reindeer." Parking is extremely far. I mean about 20-30 minute walk, so I suggest taking the shuttles or golf carts. Some were equiped to bring wheelchairs and strollers. I would say once you go, no need to return.

The fair was a blast! We rode in Dodge pick-ups, flying through the air. We drove new Corvettes and Chevy trucks. How many different fried foods can you eat? Wow! We rode the highest ride in the park. What amazing views! The rodeo was awesome. So much fun. It got really crowded later at night, but we really had a good time as a family.

This is a great place to spend a day and have fun walking around various booths and exhibits. Parade in the evening is a must to see event. Car show in two pavilions was an interesting place to go and have a first hand experience with new vehicles coming to the market. Restrooms are available in each pavilion.

I gave it 4 stars because you burn calories while you eat 😂 State Fair of Texas, prepare to bring the 💵. Parking $20. If you go after 5 p.m. entry $10. There are not many items under 10 coupons or $10. Shrimp Doc, Drizzle, Milton's, and Honey Biscuit are a must try. We shared everything we got so we could sample all the food we wanted and only spent $50 per person. And we are actually satisfied that we had a great food experience. Rides on Tuesday for kids are 3 coupons and 4 coupons for the other rides.

Love coming here we come every year . This was the first year back since pandemic. The $1 midway and food ticket kinda hard to soak in but with our kids growing up they are no longer in to riding rides that definitely helped. Honestly we spent less than we did before . Love the exhibition El Mundo Latino they have at the woman's museum. Highly recommend coming also wouldn't hurt to look up the daily music concerts to get extra to do the day you come. The food looks and smells good typically I come for the scenery and the cold beer but if you like the traditional turkey leg wich is now 22 coupons yes $22 dollars or a large corny dog for 16 coupons or $16 go for it.

Enchant was great at this location. Lots of fun for kids and family. They should have something for Valentine’s Day. The shuttle and parking was great and organised. Food and snacks with tables and seating and fire pits made it so much fun.

We went at opening and stayed until they closed! Plenty of restrooms available and a lot of different fair foods to eat. If you've never been: you will have to purchase "tickets" to pay for a majority of rides and food. We decided we wanted to do something local and fun for our anniversary so we did end up dropping $300 for a whole day out at the fair. Everything from turkey legs to cotton candy and candied apples, they have it. Live birthing center and a free petting zoo as well! Plenty of show horses and hogs too. It was nice to see all the baby livestock! 4 stars because it still seemed expensive for a handful of the food stalls. Paid for the experience! Swan boat rides and ferris wheel was my favorite part of the night. We also got our caricatures done. Love love love the artists out there and was very glad to see them having a line formed up.

Visited for the Texas state fair, it was an amazing experience. You will love the rides and large varieties of food. Just be careful for the shooting. It happened a day before my visit.

I was pretty impressed, the process of getting in was pretty fast and efficient. They kept it nice and comfortable temperature inside the theater which I'm sure is difficult on a hot Dallas day that it was. The most impressive though was looking around I really didn't see any obstructed views like I have in so many Theaters. Not really any area I would consider bad.

My first time attending a state fair and it was a wonderful (and educational for kids) experience! Lots of family oriented fun with so much to do! I wish the website was a bit more easy to navigate and plan from - it was difficult to plan to attend specific activities such as competitions as it was hard to navigate on the website... but once at the actual festival, everyone was super helpful. Signage on each street would also be helpful directing towards a specific area. Also - didn't really appreciate the internal micro transactions where only tickets for the fair were accepted for food and rides... it was a $1USD to 1State Fair Ticket method... so it was a bit frustrating to have to purchase internal tickets and not be able to just spend actual Ameican currency. If you didn't finish spending your tickets, you're just left with random $1-4 of useless ticket paper. (You can only purchase increments of 10, 15, 20 or 30.

October in Dallas means The State Fair of Texas. If you are a fan of college football, corn dogs or midway games (or all of the above) and within driving distance of Dallas, you must check out "The Fair." A Texas institution since 1886, The Fair provides endless entertainment for all ages. According to a Google Search, The State Fair of Texas counts more than 2.5 million visitors a year: The State Fair of Texas had the highest attendance of all fairs in 2022, industry news source Carnival Warehouse announced last week. The State Fair of Texas saw 2.5 million people at Dallas' Fair Park in 2022, edging it just above the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's 2.4 million attendees. I quickly noticed that there were PLENTY of Cowboys jerseys on display in the crowd. For a Texas native like myself, Big Tex's recorded welcome, Fletcher's corn dogs, The Midway and The Texas Star all evoke viscerally fond memories. After wandering through the massive livestock area replete with pigs, horses, cattle, sheep and chickens, I stopped to listen to some live music at one of the many performance areas and then found another stage with a circus-style act. Here is a map to help you plan your visit. When you get too hot walking around outside, tour the heavily air-conditioned automotive exhibition halls near Big Tex and purchase your water and soft drinks for only $1 at the Daughters of the American Revolution house nearby. Please note that The State Fair of Texas only runs through October 22. When the Fair closes, visits to The Dallas Museum of Art, Klyde Warren Park and/or The Sixth Floor Museum are also great choices for a Saturday afternoon.

It's always an experience and plenty to do for the whole family. This year 2023 had the best light/ dance show so far. Great talent and choreography. You'll go broke in no time beware!!😅😹

It's not just for the fair! So many museums and things to do here. Had a great experience at the music hall this time! Traffic was well managed and the parking staff was super friendly.

Free to walk around even when the State Fair is not operating. It is home to the Dallas Children's Aquarium and Texas Discovery Gardens (butterfly house), African American Museum, Women's Museum, Cotton Bowl and so many other attractions. Good place to take your young family for weekend fun.

Well the state fair of course, is fun and all but I just don’t think the price of the “tickets” to play the games are worth it. Very expensive so some tickets that are just to play games. But of the other hand the food is very well worth the price, the chicken wings are just a masterpiece! As I said the tickets are not worth the price for the GAMES, but the tickets can also be used for rides, which are reasonable prices. Overall good place for friends and family. I’ve always been told to checkout the state fair whenever I got the chance, and I was not disappointed! The venue is perfect, with so much space for the thousands and thousands of people trying to have a good time out! The Cotton Bowl with all its history stays rocking no matter who’s playing, it truly is a great experience for anyone looking for a nice time out!

Packed and food/drinks expensive , but so worth it. We got there 3 hrs early and still was far back. However this was my 1st time on the lawn, was surrounded by sweet ppl though. My kid was happy to see his favorite band that I surprised him with. Imagine Dragons
