BEST park in Long Beach. Family oriented and a great place for the community. I've been going since I was kid and I'm 35 now and still go. Every Saturday they give away free supplies for thoese who need it. Every 1st Wednesday of the month Mrs Robinson gives free hot meals that she cooks from her own Kitchen. MRS Robinsons cooking is like having your grandma cooking everytime.

The park itself is OK I suppose during the daytime. It’s an older part could probably use some tax dollars thrown into it. Bathrooms are pretty old, a big hang out for the homeless here and there, nothing against them I’m just saying, baseball field, soccer field, Parking, and a pool indoors,People use this part for several different types of events. The park is right next to my neighborhood. Probably wouldn’t be the first park I would choose to go to hang there all day. There are better ones.

Nice and spacious. Neighborhood Garden. Boys and girls club. Recreational center. Not a bunch of homeless. Bathrooms were clean

Nice park playground area, spacious park grounds for picnicking, sports or just chilling, they also have a community center and boys and girls club on site. I love the dedication to the Honorable Dr Martin Luther King the park's namesake

It's too ghetto for me. Always full of vagabonds and people smoking weed. The playground is nothing special and there is no shade. There are some cool things, like the rec center and the community garden. The garden is mostly closed though unless you have a plot.

This park is amazing, but lately, I've seen a lot of trash and card board on the floor.

It's a cool program. My son is learning to swim and instructors are very patient and will take their time to explain the lesson for the day. Safety is the major component of this class and they take their job very seriously. You kids will enjoy their time here.

Yo, let me drop some love for MLK Park in the LBC! This place, man, it’s where the heart of the hood beats. From ball games to chill sessions, this park holds all the stories. No fancy stuff, just the real deal. Growing up in the hood, MLK Park was like our HQ. Memories made, lessons learned, all in this spot. Much respect to the hood and to MLK Park for keeping it real. 🏀🔥 #LBCLegends

A great landmark a great City contribution in commemoration of a truly blessed influential activist for social de-segregational reform. This statue that was done in the 60s by the first black lady that was mayor is by far our monks my favorite of the landmarks of Long Beach.
