Stopped here for breakfast after reading some reviews and it didn't dissapoint! Situated in a lane way it really has a good vibe happening. I ordered a double shot flat white, strong and perfectly made. Delicious chocolate milkshakes. My wife had the avocado on toast which she assures me was amazing 👏 I thought I'd try the breakfast spring rolls and they didn't dissapoint! Lucky I was holding on to my socks as they nearly blew off. The crunch was perfect, and the chutney, oh the chutney was the best I've had...so much flavour 😋 Next time we are in town we will be back. P.s. the hashbrowns didn't come with the dish, they were an extra, and they were the perfect touch 👌

Really good cafe! Both the food (particularly the bread) and coffee is great here. It is uber cool on top of that. It definitely comes recommended!

We went to Toowoomba during our Easter trip to BNE. The cafe was hidden in an alley and it is quite spacious. Customer service was great. We ordered the vegetarian option of grill cauliflower with almond rice, and a burger. The grill cauliflower was so flavoursome, the almond rice was well seasoned , the dates added some sweetness into the rice as well, well balanced. The tahini yogurt and coriander just added a hint of freshness. The burger was also good with a fresh juicy beef patty. There is probably some room for improvement for the coffee. However overall experience was awesome!

Cosy little restaurant in a hidden alley behind grand central. Breaky was done to very small intricate details and was rather complex and delicious. The menu is very small which I like, meaning the cafe can do those small number items to perfection.

Great little cafe tucked away with friendly staff, clean and quirky cafe serving good food which is reasonably priced. We ordered beef burgers which were delicious. Coffee was nice, balanced and strong. My only wish is that the juice was freshly squeezed rather than cold pressed. Would come back if we ever return to Toowoomba.

Extensive and very varied menu. Excellent and friendly service. Great coffee. Our return visit in September 2021 was also a great experience. Such an exciting and innovative breakfast menu. Expect to line up for a table during busy times. But well worth the wait.

Had lunch here a few days ago and the food was very good. Our only criticism was of the drinks. The coffee was nowhere near hot enough and the English breakfast tea was extremely weak. I like the fact that they use loose leaf but I'd honestly prefer a strainer with the pot, or even a bag so you can choose to brew the tea to your preference. Service was very good too. I'll return but will ask for hotter coffee and stronger tea!

Visited toowoomba from the Gold Coast for the first time. Came across this lovely cafe, served by this gentleman when I ordered my granola this morning. Great ambience, amazing coffee, friendly service. Definitely recommend 😊

Great little cafe down a lane off the main street of Toowoomba. Cool vibe, friendly staff, excellent coffee that has a natural sweetness and a hint of vanilla and possibly the best pastries I have ever had (big call!), all made in house. We were visiting Toowoomba from the Sunny Coast and were staying at the Burke and Wills Hotel. Ground Up is just across the road and ideal for breakfast.

Saw this cafe recommended on Instagram so thought we’d give it a try on a trip to the Flower Festival. We sat in the art-filled laneway on a beautiful spring day enjoying good coffee and a delicious meal. I ordered the pulled pork burger which was very tasty, and my husband enjoyed the potato croquette. Everything was brought out promptly and the service was friendly.

Came up here on a really busy weekend and still managed to get a good seat for my family. Good and coffee came out quickly and was a really good standard despite how busy they are. Staff were friendly and engaged and fast without seeming rushed. A really well run establishment that I recommend you try

We had lunch here and could not fault our experience. Food was full of flavour, light, and well presented. Variety in the menu was good and ginger beer was great too. Fast service and ordering and paying from the table easy.

Top notch food, eclectic decor, very organic feel. Inside and outside dining. Great choices in menu, especially for brunch. Large and small tables available.

Amazing! This was the best pancake stack I have ever had! Fresh soft fluffy buttermilk pancakes, sweet maple syrup, fresh strawberries, and caramelised banana that is almost creme brulee like. I also ordered a pot of chai tea made on milk. It was so good! One of the most authentic chai teas that I have had. You get about 4-5 small cups in one tea pot. You could share it if you wanted. Very happy with my breakfast!

Amazing place to dine. Went for breakfast and sat outside with our good girl. Pleasantly surprised by the breakfast spring rolls 'the relish was delishious! Would love more outdoor heaters for cool mornings. Thanks again team!

Great cafe in Toowoomba, the staff are polite and very helpful, the coffee is perfect and the food is amazing. I ate the loaded eggs benny and it was very delicious and so big I almost couldn’t eat it. The location is awesome too. Will definitely eat here again. 10/10! five star review from me, don’t hesitate to drop in for a coffee or some great food!

We recently had breakfast at Ground up on our visit to Toowoomba. We arrived at the wrong time. There was a big line and we actually the last ones to order and the line was gone. Because of that we had to wait 25min for our breakfast. Not ideal! They never brought or offer us water as other tables, the coffe was good but not memorable. We order our usual eggs benedict and even though it was good with a delicious bacon there was not enough sauce and by the second half of the toast it was dry and not very pleasant to eat. The atmosphere is great. But could definitely use some improvement on service and food.

This place is my saving grace! I work almost right next door and visit for a coffee nearly every work day. Without fail, their staff are always friendly and super helpful! The food is so good I have dreams about it. If you havent been there yet, I highly recommend a visit! You will not be disapointed!

Really good coffee! Friendly and accommodating staff. Requested item not on the menu and they happily obliged. However, definitely not vegetarian friendly. There is no hot dish on the breakfast menu which is vegetarian, except for avocado on toast. You have to create one using sides (and maybe the avo on toast plus sides) but that ends up being crazy expensive - way more expensive than their large hot meat dishes. For 1. poached eggs on toast with mushrooms, hash brown, and avo (no tomato available) it ends up being $24; 2. Avo on toast with poached eggs and mushrooms it ends up being $26. Hence, not vegetarian friendly. I hope they revisit this inequity because they have great coffee. I would otherwise have given them another star.

Really good coffee and I’ve never been disappointed with their food or service. Tried the breakfast spring rolls and was pleasantly surprised with the flavour. Pancakes were also hit. Great food, great coffee, friendly staff and great location.

Just had late breakfast at Ground Up. Delicious coffee served to my preference on request. Fruit and nut toast never fails to delight and the homemade jam was a bonus flavour. Partner ordered The Bennie with smoked bacon, excellent flavour, eggs cooked to perfection. He said he would eat it again any time.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were casual efficient, courteous and professional. Decor was mildly hipster with lots of timber, brick and steel. Seating was comfortable. Sit inside or outside. Coffee was unusual but really enjoyable. Expect the coffee presentation to be different to a standard coffee shop. The choice of teaspoons could be better. Meals were excellent and service was prompt. A few more plant based options would be nice however the meal I had was great. Plateware, cutlery, decor, lighting and furniture were all excellent (except for the teaspoons, lol) There's wheelchair access to the outside seating but not to the inside seating. Counter service. Parking and access was no problem. 5 stars.

What can I say, I came here on a recommendation by a friend and was not disappointed. This place is great! I was the first to try a new menu item the ‘Lady Gaga’ and it was unreal! The right mix of textures and flavours and incredibly filling. My partner had the corn fritters and they were just as delicious too. Last but not least, the coffee, A+! Would highly recommend this place

Really friendly team and the service was so quick! We didn’t order any food but the coffee was excellent. Great feel to the place as well, including the mural in the alley.
