We were seated at the bar for breakfast and a drink due to a lack of servers for the dining room. Not an issue, everyone is short staffed these days. The bartender was great and very accommodating. We ordered a mimosa and they were out of orange juice. Weird, since it was only 10:30am and wasn’t busy enough to warrant running out of juice. After 20 minutes of placing our food order, we were told the Loco Moco was not available. Again, the restaurant hasn’t been open for long enough in the day to not have ground beef. So someone needs to learn how to place proper kitchen stock orders. Additionally, the food came out just as we had given up and had asked for our check so we can go somewhere else. It had been about an hour wait for food. Likely a result of short staffing, but still not an excuse. Pay employees more and they’ll want to work there. I blame the ownership squarely. My meal was also cold, but my wife’s was hot. Odd. It also had hollandaise sauce despite specifically requesting it to not be included due to my lactose intolerance. And my poached egg was hard boiled. Throughout my entire life, even the worst eggs Benedict didn’t have a hard boiled egg. Someone managed to poach this egg to death. So if you like hard boiled eggs on an English muffin with cold bacon, this is the place for you. But the bartender was absolutely excellent, and obviously exhausted. Give her a great tip if you go here.

We ate here twice because we thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was extremely flavourful just like Italian food is supposed to be! The truffle gnocchi was to die for! The men enjoyed their meat and said they were cooked brilliantly to their request and the charcuterie board selection was absolutely delicious! 🙌🏽 We would return in a heart beat! 👏🏽

Il Lupino is a great Italian restaurant in Honolulu. They try their best at offering quality Italian food, and they do not disappoint. Our family has tried the garlic bread, the pescatore (pic attached), the chicken parm, and the veal chop. Everything was cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is fun and the service is always great.

I always enjoy my time spent at Il Lupino. They have a nice ambiance and the best servers. Especially Nicolai. The bartenders Allie and Killiam are so awesome! The food is amazing. It’s definitely worth a trip to waikiki.

I appreciate them giving me the option to have two different sizes for your main course. I had the vongole - pasta was Al dente, portion was perfect for me.

Amazing dinner for our first night. Delectable cocktails, savory and satisfying entrees and a light, fresh dessert. A definite must try for any Italian lover.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. They go out of their way to make things allergy safe if you have food allergies and all of the staff were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The food I got was some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Definitely worth trying!

Wonderful food, service, drinks and views of Waikiki. My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful Italian meal at Il Lupino’s. I ordered the Bolognese and she ordered the garlic seafood pasta and we each ordered the Caesar salad to start with. Each dish was magnificent. They also bring a wonderful homemade bread to the table. The portions are large so there was no room for dessert but they have a tempting dessert menu as well.

Incredible wine selection. I love Amarone wine from Verona, Italy area and they had multiple options. I’ve tried several food items, all were very good. I noticed the review before I came here said food was great but the hostess did something wrong and they gave one star. As always, I focus on the food, that said their staff was great. Made me feel like I was in an authentic Italian place. The cured meats and cheeses are imported from several countries. A real treat.

This review is strictly based on the food. It was not good. The service was great, but the food was not "Italian". My husband and I both felt like we had ketchup and egg noodles. We ordered the eggplant parm as an appetizer. The eggplant was good, the mozzarella was good, the tomato underneath wasn't ripe, and the sauce was bland. I ordered lasagna, I asked for extra cheese and salt to try to give my lasagna some flavor, didn't work. The poor kid next to us was served an almost completely burned pizza. The price of the food is not worth the price.

Fantastic homemade pasta, served hot. Good size servings, great service.

The apps were great, wine selection is second to none (ask for full wine list they have more than the 47 bottle per glass list). My only complaint is that when they get busy they struggle with the large crowds and some times partial orders get delayed. Otherwise the quality of the food is very good.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned but it was fine. Our guests were locals and we booked an outside table which also meant we could see and hear the entertainment from the stage. A nice garden setting we ordered the large charcuterie board for starters. Nice selection of cheeses and prosciutto with biscuits. We also asked for French bread which was delivered with olive oil and balsamic. For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was melt in your mouth tender. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps some tasting notes alongside the wines because my German Reisling was definitely closer to a Moselle style. Friendly and attentive service made it an enjoyable evening with good company.

The service is terrible, our waitress was like ignoring us all time, all time we had to ask for water, more wine, fork, spoon because our waitress was in his phone or talking to other person I got angry because he took like 20 minutes for bringing my bill... The meatball taste so disgusting, not fresh, taste like cooked in the microwave, the pasta was hard to eat, the pizza was without flavor and a bit burned. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, IS NOT FRESH FOOD.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The food was way overpriced for the quality of food we received. The pomodoro sauce was so bland and cheap tasting. It is the equivalent to Walmart great value red sauce. Zero seasonings. The pasta was over cooked and mushy. Highly disappointed with this food since the prices were so steep. Do not waste your money here, it is a tourist trap. Olive Garden sends out better plates than this place. Nothing here is fresh, stay away.

Food was amazing and we were welcomed by a very kind and friendly host, Hoku. As well as a very attentive and helpful server, Jeremy. It was a dinner date with my girlfriend and was truly a wonderful experience. Hoku kindly escorted us to a beautiful table outside where we were able to view the sunset. When Jeremy came to take our order, my girlfriend was still deciding and was struggling to find what she wanted. So Jeremy did recommend some dishes for us, and the meal was absolutely amazing. Her fish piccata was very delicious. Very juicy with nicely buttered top layer that just melted in our mouth. When it comes to Italian cuisine, I always order an eggplant parmigiana, and it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Crisp and cheesy layer on the outside with soft eggplant inside really put a smile on my face. At the end of our meal, Jeremy recommended us a Tiramisu. And it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had as well. It was not only sweet and creamy, but the way it was presented was also what made the desert amazing as well.

Absolutely the best meal I’ve had in years. The truffle gnocchi and champagne were SUPERB and pana cotta and espresso martini were the perfect desert. Bartender Allie paired our meals with the perfect wines. Couldn’t have been better.

Well I went yesterday Monday 1/2/23 and service was something else nice staff except there's a lady who barley speaks English who possibly is an owner and makes the interaction awkward. Anyways she brings me water after waiting 15 minutes already no menu then the water is like a little more than half way full not sure if that was intentional. I ordered my food an Alfredo crema is what they call it but who would add big pices of hard asparagus to the pasta. Sauce had no type of flavor or seasoning I had to ask for pepper I took two bites cause I was starving but couldn't do it. I told the lady who took my payment 45$ that it was horrible but not even a discount or a let me replace the dish nothing.

I was scared when I saw the reviews but it was better than expected. The food was not great, but it was still good. The gluten free pizza is ok, not the best, but definitely good. They didn't have gluten free pasta as they said they faced some supply problems in recent weeks. Other gluten free options were marked (but limited). We didn't have a problem with a long wait or ignoring servers - maybe we were lucky or maybe the restaurant fixed something after recent reviews.

The Lamb chops! Mmm! 😍 They were obviously the star of the plate. The vegetables could stand a tiny bit of drizzled butter and/ sea salt? And the Tira Misu was to die for!😋 Anyway, our waiter, Chris was friendly and his attempts at humor were funny!😆 We enjoyed our meal there!! Did I mention the garlic bread?

This is one of the worst places I have ever eaten. I'd really advise against spending your money here or even sitting here as you can read below. Food: -The housemade lasagna sheets sounded amazing, but they were thick and chewy and just unappetizing. -The Carbonara was flavorless- this is a trend in the food. -The Caesar salad was just lettuce- the little bit of dressing was actually unpalatable and tasted like how my garbage smells. Service: -our waiter was very nice. However, once he took our order, he was not seen until well after we were done and waiting for a check. I wasn't even able to order another glass of wine to drink away the meal. Atmosphere: -my wife got bites from the seat! Like I get Hawaii has some different critters, but how the heck did she get bedbug looking bites from a seat?? I was so disappointed. And for $115 I would have loved at least an OK meal, but this was nowhere near it.

Impressed with their pastas and salad. We came in twice in 7 days. Husband and I loved their salad and pasta dishes; flavorful and hot. Good to make a quick reservation on weekends.

This place was pretty good. The staff was great first off. The view was nice from where we were sitting outside. My husband had the lamb and I had the filet. They were both pretty good however I will say that I wasn't sure if they were good enough for what they cost. I thought it was a little overpriced for the food. I've had better honestly for a little cheaper. But overall it wasn't bad. I might still go back just because the staff was so great.
