I really wanted to love this brunch meal but it was extremely disappointing… after ordering some decent drinks and reading the description of the food items on the menu I was so hyped. I came HUNGRY and honestly that’s probably the only reason I was able to choke down the bland cheap restaurant style scrambled eggs, plain underwhelming potatoes and the pork belly was just… bad. I’ve had better meals at dennys. I’m not sure what’s going on back in the kitchen and where all these amazing reviews are coming from.

It's hard to find cafes around here but this one is excellent! Their brunch is amazing, I highly recommend the mimosas and the lobster Benedict!!

I ordered the deluxe burger ($19.00!)….a rare treat for me. The fries were burnt yet very soggy…this is quite an accomplishment…they were inedible. The burger was swimming in thousand island dressing….gross, had a film of cheese on it. The tomatoes were not yet ripe. I mentioned the fries to the bar tender who was very nice. He offered me a free drink which I declined and which in no way would compensate for a good meal. BAD!

Awesome neighborhood bar, and brunch spot. I'm told the drinks are great (I don't drink), but I can say the food is REALLY good, the atmosphere is friendly, and the staff is helpful and kind.

I recently dined at Smith and Kings and indulged in their offerings. The deluxe burger I ordered was not only delicious but also came in a huge portion that left me fully satisfied. The lobster poutine was a delightful surprise with its generous serving of lobster and flavorful combination of ingredients. Both dishes had a nice, rich flavor that made the meal truly enjoyable. If you're looking for substantial portions and great taste, Smith and Kings is definitely worth a visit!

The food was amazing, atmosphere great and service was awesome. My only issue is the stools look cool, but aren't super comfortable lol.... But it's downtown. Still 10/10 recommend

I thought that this bar was excellent. Great cocktails and quick service. It’s much better than other much-celebrated cocktail bars in Chinatown.

Never heard of this joint before coming here the other day. As soon as you walk in you get an overwhelming sense of welcome. The bar is fully stocked and the bartender really knew his craft well. The food was awesome, and the overall atmosphere was chill for brunch. The facilities were clean and the staff was helpful and professional. Gotta get back here ASAP.

Brunch is fantastic, dinner is legit. This is a bar/restaurant in Chinatown that should be far more popular than it is. Covid is probably the reason for this, but the quality of food and service we receive is always great. Mike, the night bar tender is always welcoming and always remembers our names and previous conversations. He is funny and engaging, making for a great experience. This may sound trivial, but it is the main reason we keep coming back. If you have never eaten here, do it. I have tried most things on the menu and it has all been good.

I love Smith & Kings!!... they have craft beer & cocktails with excellent service, delicious original recipes for food, and Bob Ross playing and sports on their televisions (primo combination)! This is a 30 minute drive from my house, but it's worth an hour drive.

Saturday brunch with friends on a busy Saturday morning. As usual the atmosphere is convivial, our server was good, sadly the food was a little cool, but tasty nonetheless.

Busy at brunch time when I was there. Friendly employees and bartenders. The eggs Benedict was delicious! They have quite a bit of cocktails/drinks too. The food is really good!

An ex co-worker and I went to Smith & Kings to talk about our common interests in IT, guitars and travel. It was just after noon on a Friday so I was somewhat surprised to find the place almost empty of diners. My lunch mates and I used to frequent this spot because the food was good (especially the foie gras burger) and the location unbeatable (across the street from our offices). We stopped coming because the place wasn’t open on a consistent basis for lunch … a victim of the pandemic, we believe. I ordered a Hendricks gin and tonic ($11) and the chicken and waffles ($16) while my tablemate opted for the chicken club ($18). The food came in short order and we each enjoyed our meal while discussing guitar stores in Tokyo. My plate contained two chicken strips and a Belgian waffle cut into quarters, served with a small container of maple syrup; a perfectly sized portion for lunch (for me). The chicken club came in a bun with lettuce, tomato … more like a fried chicken "burger" than a club sandwich. It was served with a side of fries. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles; a crisp waffle is a must for me and Smith & Kings delivered. I believe my tablemate enjoyed his sandwich. The prices are reasonable and the location remains a plus. $11 for a Hendricks & tonic is a value play in this age. Recommended.

Exceptionally delicious place to visit on a Wednesday. They have smash burgers (large sliders, apparently) and bourbon deals. The lobster poutine and burgers were perfect and delectable. Our bartender, Mike, made great recommendations and mixed a unique yet classic old fashioned that rivals the local speakeasy. Will definitely be back.

This place is great for every meal. The Sunday brunch is by far the best on the island. Can’t get better grits anywhere else. This place is a must stop. You will not regret your meal/trip here. This Happy hour is a must. Great drink option and amazing selection of sliders, wings and fries.

So, my friends picked it. The waitress was beyond unpleasant and didn't mention they won't split a check. She got a bit snotty when I asked. It says it in small script at the bottom of the menu on the food side, so fair enough but should be told when a group comes. I don't drink, my friends do so unfortunately I paid more. Also, the food was poor. I ordered poutine which normally I love but the chips were so salted they weren't very edible. I wouldn't suggest this place.

Great food and drinks. Jesse and Peter are amazing at the bar. Fun and lively place to chill with friends, or relax with a drink at the bar.

Good service and food but nothing special. The music was extremely loud during Saturday brunch. The place felt more like a club and I couldn’t listen to the conversations at our table.

Solid Sunday brunch place. Service could be slightly more prompt. Food solid, but over does it using biscuits for too many entrees. As a previous reviewer wrote the stools/seats leave a lot to be desired. McDonald's might be more comfortable.

The food looked like it was going to taste amazing… that’s where it ends… I ordered the pork belly Benedict and it had NO flavor.. just blah.. needed SALT needed some type of ACID like lemon in the hollandaise sauce… the pork belly had no flavor at all. The biscuit on the bottom was the worst it tasted like flour and water cooked together in a round form. Not worth the price for bland food… so many better options (like next door) for food in china town.

I either give 1,3 or 5 stars this gets 1. The service was average. Place is horrendously loud with all the concrete floors walls and ceiling. But the menu looks great and the presentation looks very nice. At least there’s that. If my taste buds were built around my eyes it would have been fantastic. But they’re not- I have to eat something to taste it and this was depressing. I got the smith and king omelette. Supposed to have sausage gravy on top but there was a dribble. So save that bite for last cause hopefully you’ll end on a decent note. I had to abuse the salt shaker for the omelette and had to use ketchup to soften the potatoes enough to get a fork in them. Otherwise scooping the potatoes was necessary due to their impenetrability. the jam was good on the cornbread that was more bland than a communion wafer. My daughter’s chicken Mac was good though. Sad that it’s such a cool place inside if you have ear plugs but the food was pretty bad. So many better options in China town.

Great place for a low key vibe. The food is great and the craft cocktail were spot on. Definitely worth a check out.

This place has really good food but they are closed for the next 4-5 months due to some building upgrades. If you're reading this around May or June and they're back open, go check them out.

A neighborhood bar great food. Friendly staff. Simple comfort food like biscuits and gravy are executed exceptionally, rich gravy that is not loaded with flour or cornstarch, flaky biscuits, simply superb. Park in the Marin Tower parking structure. Highly recommended.

~*G & Ginger cocktail was soooo perfect made with pineapple vs guava. The service was spectacular, food was good and ambience and whiskey selection pleasurable. Their menu is priced well. All in all…. This is an all star. Check it out! Support local small businesses!*~

😐 We checked in here for a late lunch and it was a bit of a disappointment. The food was better than it looked like and the beer was alright as well. The place was almost empty and there were a lot of pigeons. I gave only 3 stars for the service because you order online and there's little interaction...
