We ate here for a client dinner while in Honolulu. Wasn't the easiest to get to as the Uber app kept taking us to the old location but was worth the wait. The staff was great and the tasting menu was exquisite. Will definitely be going back on my next trip out.

TASTING MENU FUN! I always love a good tasting menu. Tried this spot on our anniversary while traveling. Great spot. The mochi crusted fish was incredible. Service was strong but not fine dining. Our waiter was awesome but the overall culture is not one of fine dining. One of the unique aspects of this restaurant is that it is literally inside of a Ferrari and Bentley dealership. You have to navigate the parking garage with bad signage to find the valet for the restaurant. we had to ask for help a couple of times. The tasting menu was really strong with great flavors woven into some traditional dishes. Some of it seemed a little over-the-top while others were spot on. Overall we were impressed but felt like the experience overall to price balance was a little off.

This place was amazing when I went in June 2021. Every dish was delicious. For the New Year’s Eve dinner, it was not as exquisite. The 5 small bites for the New Year’s Eve menu was more delicious than the regular tasting menu. The egg was also really good. Sadly, all of the other dishes were not as good as the original tasting menu. The wagyu beef for the New Year’s Eve menu was so unbelievably salty. It was so salty I couldn’t even finish it. I wish I could give this place a higher score but for how disappointment I was in the New Year’s Eve menu, I’ll have to give it a 3. I still recommend trying this place, the regular tasting menu though.

The service here is exceptional. The waiter was knowledgeable, humble, and so genuinely cared about our dining experience. When we asked him where his favorite place to go was in Hawaii, he wrote down a list and then got others to add to the list while we ate. He ended up giving us a great list of local places to dine, best hikes, and great beaches to visit. The food was delicately curated and thoughtfully timed. Go on your birthday and they give you a slice of delicious chocolate cake. Oh, the pineapple in the cocktail is to die for! Get the MW candy bar for dessert and the mochi crusted fish for the main—these were my two favorites.

MW Restaurant is another farm-to-table phenomenal foodie safe haven in Honolulu that is making such a buzz you have to go and treat yourself to a decadent meal from beginning to end. The savory local catch/grown apps & entrees, topped off with probably the most amazing desserts the island has to offer makes this restaurant the talk of the town. Please take time to look at the posted pics and really look at the love this restaurant puts into their food. The trademark of the 2 forks making an MW just shows their innovation, thoughtfulness and preparation they put into everything this restaurant has to offer The front of the house, the bartender and most of all their attitude in delivering a wold class dining service makes MW my favorite restaurant in all of Hawaii. Chef Michelle provided the finishing-touches to see how much we enjoyed our meal. It was truly honor and pleasure to meet her! Recommendation: Shaved Ice is the best on the island. No need for me to explain. You need to go there and try it yourself. I never have two desserts and had to have it twice. So fresh...so clean

Amazing food. Ribeye cooked to perfection. Delicious Paella. Appetizers were off the chain and dessert was fantastic too.

If you have a special occasion, this is the place to go. We had a wonderfully pleasant evening which really had no low points. The ambiance was romantic and quiet and all servers were professional and knowledgeable. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings. The appetizers were very creative and intriguing, each course was well cooked and high quality, and the dessert was something very fresh. At the end of the meal, they brought our birthday cake for my girlfriend, which was incredible. Overall, it was a faultless dining experience and I am so glad we found MW restaurant.

10/9/20: ordered the paella which was the first thing I've had from MW that I didn't like. I know we're not in Valencia, but it was just too salty and overall kind of a letdown. Also wish there was more rice and some fresh lemon wedges. I do appreciate that the shrimp was fully peeled!

Gave this place three tries & tonight was the last. Near-raw root vegetables swimming in a bland gravy next to a tasteless ribeye. The ribeye wasn’t trimmed so it was about 40% fat & gristle. No salt, no pepper, no basting of garlic & rosemary butter or anything flavorful like that. It (was) topped with a layer of diced, fresh parsley though - if that counts for anything. I’m done. My wife enjoys the seafood so maybe they should stick to that because their steak game is BAD!

Their food is amazing, I love it so much and come back sometimes. It's lil bit overpriced. Also their shave ice is amazing. Should try it. Always busy and you should make a reservation.

First time tried the Testing Menu. Good deal. Too full. Couldn’t finish all dishes 😋 The best is our server. He overheard our conversation and gave us a surprised birthday 🎂 cake with candles. So touched!! We will definitely go back again soon.

Loved our time at MW Restaurant! We sat at the bar and had Harry as our waiter. He made the best cocktails (the Georgia O'Keeffe was delicious) and recommended the fish entrees (Mochi Crusted Kona Kampachi and the Dinner Teishoku AKA butterfish). They were delicious! Also, you MUST save room for dessert. The Brulee was out of this world. I would never imagine sorbet, custard, and tapicoa going together, but wow. 10/10 would recommend.

I kind of forgot to give this place a good review since my fiancé and I were having such a good time at Leavenworth! We stopped by here to grab some hot coffee and donuts before exploring. Coffee was amazing and the donuts were fresh made in-house.

Wonderful dining experience . The menu was extensive, nice variety and creative. The food was excellent and presentation outstanding. The restaurant was busy, the staff were scrambling but they were still very pleasant, informative and professional. Their signature candy bar dessert is delicious. Definitely a return visit is in order. Only downside is the noise level. Very loud especially with larger groups.

Excellent restaurant, best dessert EVER. Lilikoi brulee, I dream about the taste from 4,000 miles away.

I'm a picky eater, and don't usually eat much fish but saw some of the photos and our Uber driver heard me mention it and said it was good. Like that it's an open kitchen so you can see them making the food. It was unique dishes, and very delicious. The lobster with mashed potatoes did have more Lobster than it sounded like it would. Get the meat medium; medium well was pretty much well done, which is what I got. The noodles under the kampachi are cold-just FYI. The seafood chowder soup was good too. Service was good, reservations recommended. I do wish the waiter, or anyone, would have acknowledged us a little quicker than they did once we were seated. Also, he went into a lot of detail on the food and you can tell he was very knowledgeable, but wish he would have slowed down cause half the stuff he was saying I didn't have a clue. Maybe just cause it's not my usual type of food, but I can't be the only one. Overall it was a good experience and I do recommend especially for those who like fish and trying new things! But even if you don't, no need to be scared! Oh, and the coffee and cream brulee was surprisingly extremely delicious. I think that's how I felt about each dish, super hesitant at first but then pleasantly surprised!

I don’t think this restaurant can be defined as pacific rim cuisine, its definitely a Chinese restaurant, maybe more creative. A little bit pricy and heavy taste for every dish we ordered. Environment of restaurant was simple and service was normal and slow. We were so disappointed to have it for our vacation.

  • 4/5 Sasha K. 4 years ago on Google
The food was excellent as always and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We went for restaurant week 2019 and the persimmon salad was amazing. The vinaigrette was perfect with tang and umami bacon bursts. The curried soup was rich and fragrant. The crispy kampachi was amazing. The namasu was a little strong for me, but so flavorful. The ribeye was done perfectly with a thick smear of miso. But my favorite is dessert. I had banana cream pie and Mr. had their signature MW bar. The chocolate pudding was perfect and cinnamon graham crumble was delicious.

Amazing experience! Our first night of vacation and this was a great place to set the tone. The food was amazing, but the service was unbelievable. Everyone was so attentive. My husband and I are both vegan and they were able to accommodate us and we did not feel like we missed out at all. Would recommend for everyone to come here!

Fantastic food, great staff, exceptional ambiance. We did the tasting menu and everything was perfectly cooked, unique, and the wine pairing went well with each dish. The entire staff at MW was attentive to all of our needs and seemed genuinely happy to be working at the establishment. Our server Kyle has been with the restaurant for over six years, even before they moved locations. Can't say enough good things about this local and family owned/run restaurant. Thank you guys!

This place was beautiful all around. The atmosphere and the look of the place was very nice. The food was so delicious and perfectly cooked. We went for a birthday and everyone wished my friend happy birthday. Tyler our server was great! He brought out a cake with a candle at the end. Everything was so yummy. Highly recommend if you are willing to spend the money !

This is a fun spot, clean and open with lots of natural light. We stopped in for a three course lunch. All of the meats were tender and cooked to perfection. Each dish had great flavors as well; even the caesar salad was noteworthy. I'm excited to come back for dinner.

Awesome experience all around. I don’t think you can go wrong with any selection on the menu, everything is exquisite. Tasting menu was a great way to sample and although I usually pass on dessert I’m glad I didn’t here.

I have been here 2x. The first time was underwhelming (I ordered the paella, oysters, cheesecake and the lychee yuzu drink.) This second time they made up for it. I ordered the risotto, fish dip and black forest cake, Their valet parking is $6 but always crowded. Worth the visit for their customer service and tasty food.

We enjoyed 5 course tasting menu Beautifully prepared food. Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Reservation is a must. Parking in the bldg was a challenge but they have $6 plus tip valet parking. Otherwise find Street Parking and walk over.

My favorite has got to be the mochi crusted fish. I love that it is still crunchy even after the drive from town to Waipahu. It also pairs well with the somen noodles and pickled vegetables. I did notice the pickled veggies were different from the last time but it did not take away from just how good this dish was.

The worst part of the restaurant is that it’s impossible to find. There is an associated cafe that closes early, so after 730 you need to find an entrance that is open through one of the car dealerships, then find a way to the third floor. Once there you can enjoy fine dining among the cars in the many show rooms that adjoin the restaurant. The restaurant is expensive. We had two drinks, one appetizer, one dessert, and two entries for a bit under $200. Everything was excellent, but realize that you are going to pay for it, and we didn’t order one of the many $60 entrees. My favorite was the butterfish.

  • 4/5 Elsy C. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious!! Decided to come hear after hearing Nobu was closed. We did the 5 course tasting menu for 110.00. Which everyone had to order and the wine pairings. Amuse bouche was great. 5 small bites yummy. Mochi crusted Kampanchi OMG so crunchy with the amazing ponzu sauce Brandt Prime rib tender and meaty. To be honest the lobster was my least favorite but that's only because the other dishes were so amazing. Dessert was 😋 with the tapioca and jelly in the brulee Food was stellar and 5 stars. I had to drop a star for service which was just okay. Hoping they recover from Covid so that their servers have more time to give a little extra added TLC like checking up on you more often and taking time to describe food and wine pairings. A lot which was just dropped off at our table while someone hurried away. Waiter was MIA most of the meal. Will definitely return again because food was so good.

Amazing food, service, and experience! Every course brought excitement with its presentation and creativity. At one point I dropped my fork accidentally and it was immediately (like literally one second later) replaced with a new one. Everyone was so nice and they all wished my parents a happy anniversary.

Came in late for lunch on Wednesday and it was just us for most of it. The atmosphere was upscale and trendy. Our waiter John was attentive and very helpful. The menu was super easy, just the prix fixe lunch menu. The food was great! The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the yuzu salad dressing as very tasty as well. Coconut cream pie to top it all off. Really great price for the food, would definitely recommend.

  • 5/5 Ben H. 4 months ago on Google
Delicious. It's a bit hidden away above some expensive car dealerships, but the food was excellent, and the service was complementary. My partner and I went for our anniversary, and would go again. It wasn't super-fancy dress up or anything, but it was a very nice meal. Next time, I'd absolutely spring for the prix-fixe menu. Portion sizes are not small, making it even more worth it.

The dinner menu was excellent and our service was great for a Friday evening. I loved my mochi brownie dessert with the signature Gin and Tonic cocktail and would recommend for a nice dinner. It’s a somewhat small dinner and brightly lit, so if you’re looking for a candlelight ambiance I wouldn’t recommend The location is literally inside the dealership building and there’s 2 ramps leading to the second floor. If you go on the one that’s gated, that’s the wrong side. The ramp is near the backend between the dealership and another building rather than the street ramp facing the stadium

  • 4/5 Justin L. 4 years ago on Google
Tried their lunch set menu with the appetizer trio, signature mochi-crusted fish, and upgraded the dessert to their award-winning creme brûlée. All the dishes had great attention to detail, from the cooking to the presentation. The appetizers and fish tasted great, but I wouldn’t say it was mind-blowing or extremely memorable. However, creme brûlée alone deserves 5 star. There are so many layers, flavours, and textures that make it so enjoyable. Describing it in words won’t do it justice, so you’ll just need to try it yourself! Our server was great, and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance (without feeling to posh). Would recommend, especially for the dessert.

  • 5/5 Susanna M. 4 years ago on Google
I love MW. They were super accommodating to my allergy and let me know any dishes that had come in contact with my allergen/recommended against certain foods. The food is delicious, portion size is good—what you’d expect from a nice restaurant in this price range. The set menus are nice if you’re pretty hungry. The atmosphere was nice and the wait was a bit long without a reservation but I’d recommend going as long as you are okay with the wait, get there before the rush, or make a reservation.
