The food was tasty, but we got sick after the meal. I had stomachache and my partner got diarrhea. We booked the Valentine’s set menu a week ahead and I anticipated to sit at their artistic dining area before going. However, receptionist arranged us at the bar section outside the artistic area, which was quite disappointing. And it seemed like we were the only couple sit outside that area.. The servers were pretty good but it took quite long between dishes.

Cute place. Wine area in the front next to the furniture section. Restaurant side is fun with the clouds and tiki looking chairs. The lighting is perfect, very easy on the eyes. The front host was very welcoming. Waiter service was impeccable as well as the food. Decent prices and I would highly recommend this place for date night. I would definitely come back many many times more. Enjoy!

Atmosphere is great, food was good. reason for 3 star is ordered medium rare slightly rare beef wellington, got a medium well no sear fillet, it was decently edible mostly due to the long 2 hours wait hungry. And yes i have never seen slower service in my life. Simply asking for check takes 10 min takes another 10 min to bring the check, another 15 min for server to comeback to pick up the check. Spent 2 hours and 30 min at the restaurant mostly hungry, Waiting for server.

Great atmosphere with interesting art work. Food was good, service was good- a little slow- but maybe I just eat too fast.

My honey and I came here to celebrate for no reasons. The Escargot is wow and Wellington is absolutely the best we’ve ever had because it’s cooked sous-vide (not sure if I’m spelling it right though). The vibe, the decoration, the service and the cuisine are next level. Definitely recommend everyone to come to this place for a phenomenal experience!

My wife and I ate here on our honeymoon. They were very accommodating and had excellent service. The food and presentation was great. The dessert was incredible; my wife and I put their Coffee Pie in our top 5 desserts we’ve ever had! I don’t even like coffee, and I was blown away by the complex flavor it presented. Definitely would go back here!

Incredible dining experience on New Years Eve. From easy parking and stylish venue to amazing food and exceptional service - hands down, one of the best dinners I had in a long time. Every single meal of the five course menu was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. All the wine pairings were spot on and greatly complemented our meals. In addition, we had a great city view and felt very private in our unique tropical booth. Last but not least, our waiter Stuart was awesome and there are very very few people in the profession like him. He’d got a trove of knowledge about food and wine and we enjoyed hearing his stories. If you come to eat at this restaurant, make sure he is your server - he will make your experience unforgettable.

Horrible food, horrible service. We had a part there, because the tip is already added, we had no one bussing, no one pouring wine, they rushed us. Food was really bad. 100x better at their other restaurant. Liliha Bakery. This was not the first time we had horrible service here. I ended up here 5 x because friends want the view. Only thing good was the view, and the Valet at the hotel. Shout out to the Valet!!!!

Dinner here is always good. The staff is friendly and they carry some unique wines which are hard to find. Lots of parking and in a good location.

I haven't gone to Stage for years and I really shouldn't have waited so long. The food is amazing here and the atmosphere is great. I got two flights here (champagne and reds) and they were all good. I really enjoyed the Garlic Loaf and Escargots.

Stage Restaurant is a chic, modern restaurant in the Honolulu Design Center that serves inventive Asian-New American fare. The service at Stage Restaurant was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. The atmosphere was also very chic and modern. Overall, I had a great experience at Stage Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend Stage Restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion dining experience.

Delicious food. Pleasant atmosphere. But very slow kitchen. It took them an hour to get our food to our table.

Innovative menu, attentive service, eclectic atmosphere, relative value, and noteworthy allergy accommodation continues to make Stage one of our top choices for upmarket dining in Honolulu.

A regular place for dinner with my husband. Impeccable service and great food! I suggest going to a night when they are serving a set menus and wine pairing with a table-side presentation about the wine. . . Phenomenal.

2nd visit to this wonderful, unique restaurant, tonight we enjoyed the Amuse area. Our server/bartender BRETT was really fantastic, knowledgeable, with great recommendations and patience answering a multitude of questions. The patatas bravas were outstanding. All in all, a stellar meal and great bubbly flight.

Such an amazing restaurant and it starts with the staff. They are inviting and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drinks served. Food is exceptional, the wine list is unpaired in my opinion and the atmosphere and decor is all very cohesive. Kudos to the chefs and I would highly recommend Stage // Amuse for a rememberable dining experience!

Stylish and inviting interior while not being pretentious. Knowledgable and amiable servers. Delicious and thoughtfully created dishes. I highly recommend the seared mushrooms, manila clams, and duck.

Was the best second time coming over to a fine dining in the dark. Definitely helps me try new foods and get out of my comfort zone. All the workers were very much amazing, kind, and helpful throughout the night. Props to all of them. Especially the cooks that made fantastic dishes for me and my date. Would like to go more whenever there’s a chance.

Very cool restaurant from a look and feel perspective. Service is decent as are the portion sizes. The menu is contrived, expensive and not easy to feed those who have guests with challenging pallets. I'll say it's also quite expensive for what you get. The escargot was delicious. And quite beautiful. A shrimp pasta was unique but very very fishy and hard to eat. Same for a few of the other entres. Make sure you look at the menu on the restaurant website directly as the proudly profess to change it regularly and it was very different than what we saw online.

Very beautiful atmosphere. Always a nice and pleasant experience. Menu was a shorter version than usual. But had its main items that we enjoy when dining there. Definitely try the wellington and have it the way chef prefers it done.

Not kidding, every dish and drink we ordered was so delicious. Highly recommended! The only issue of the restaurant was a bit short of staffs.

We were trying to find a place away from the crowded Waikiki beach and found this gem of a place! Love the decor and atmosphere with uniquely design furniture that they also sell. Also, food was so delectable and unique similarly to the vibe. We ordered a couple dishes and they gave complementary appetizer and dessert. It was a wonderful experience!

10 star desserts and wait help!! I would go just for dessert. If you're into fine dining without a filling main course, then this is the place. Pork belly was ok.

While this restaurant is incredibly hard to locate (you need to enter through a parking garage and then go up an elevator), which sort of gives it a speakeasy vibe… the food is worth the complicated entrance and it feels like this is priced super fairly for locals even given a lovely menu and sustainable fare on offer. Delicately presented meats and seafood with unique flavors adorn the menu and are cooked to perfection, meanwhile you can pair anything with a very well priced flight of wine that genuinely feels like you’re pulling a fast one on their bottom line. This is technically a wine bar that serves food, not the other way around, mind you. Fascinating ceiling decor hangs above as you slide into a cozy booth or cute chair by the windows, which afford an odd view of a busy intersection. There’s something not unpleasantly urban about the entire experience, given you’re shielded from city smells and noise up in your little Stage bubble. Don’t miss the squash appetizer, it’s healthy and mouth-pleasing. Unexpectedly sweet without any of the grit or starchy blandness you’d expect from the squash. Pasta here doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s solid too. Would return.

The escargot is really delicious!! must try it, the sauce is very good. I want to come back only for the escargot, and it's worth it. I got a Pork chop, but it was little gamy to me. The atmosphere is pretty cool.

Tasty. Interesting, artistic design. Don’t skip the sides. The cauliflower with romesco was tasty. The butterfish was melt in your mouth delish. Mmm, Tres Leches cake is the perfect finish. Ask for Michael. He’s a great waiter. Very helpful.

Have been loyal to this restaurant since it first opened and still enjoy it. They re-opened after the COVID-19 lock down and we were excited to go! The menu was a little trimmed and the self-serve wine tasting area was closed, but many of our favorites remained on the menu and with our wine card, we still got to taste their many wonderful wines ordered from and delivered by the server. The service is always so friendly and helpful and the food delicious, inventive and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is sophisticated and interesting, being part of a furniture store. The normal seating layout was already compliant with proper distancing, the ceiling is ~30ft high, so plenty of air volume, and the staff is all tastefully masked, so it feels very low risk at the same time as pretty much normal. It was a lovely evening - highly recommend you go now!

The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Each dish had multiple flavors that you could distinguish. The entire serving staff, from the host to our server, Lyman, were friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and professional. The decor reminds me of places in Vegas or LA; each seating area has its own unique pieces and atmosphere. You could go half a dozen times and get a different type of table each time.

Extensive wine list by both bottle and glass. I’m not typically one to order pork but did on the occasion that I went here. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and nice wine pairing.

We went there for our anniversary and we loved everything they served us. My wife said if they came out and said the next course was "trash" she'd still eat it!

  • 4/5 Keith I. 4 years ago on Google
First the good - The food was excellent; the duck breast was perfectly prepared with delicious sides, their version of Caesar salad did not consist of romaine covered in dressing, but instead included endive and hearts of palm with just enough dressing. Superb service, attentive but unintrusive servers, who were knowledgeable about the menu. Stimulating art filled environment. The not so good - we sat in what can be described as a booth, with wooden bench seats with pillows that proved to be uncomfortable as the dinner went on. The tables was a little too high as well. If you go, you might want to sit at a table with more conventional straight back chairs.

I have not been here since the remodel last year. They did a great job! Nice, less eclectic decor. And the live piano helps to lend to a nice relaxed vibe. They called prior to our reservation to check on food allergies. We went in for a bday, so they seated us at a nice table at the window. They also surprised us with a nice bday cheesecake. One person in our table ordered the fixed menu & I ordered other things. That was a good choice because had a nice variety of dishes. I highly recommend!

Great food. Well worth the money. Only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was the seating and set up of the tables. They have these weird low benches paired with tables that are far too high up. Not comfortable. Nearly every table is set up this way. Otherwise food and service were great.

Always elegant decor and great food but everything has stepped up. Prior to my reservation we described a phone call to confirm reservation and they were kind enough to see if they needed to accommodate us for a time hack because some people were going to concerts after dinner. I though that was very considerate. We started at Amuse which I have wrote about in a serrated review

Planned our dinner reservation in line with our reservations for The Phantom of the Opera. This was our first time to Stage. Two words...ABSOLUTELY FANTABULOUS! Aside from The Phantom being amazing, dinner at Stage just made the entire evening unforgettable. Our waitress was Mel and I must say, whatever she's being paid, it's not enough. Mel did a fabulous job in explaining every dish and every item and she was extremely attentive. The manager (I believe his name was Michael) was just as amazing. He too was very attentive and even made recommendations on our desserts. He even presented a dessert to us that was unique, different and just down right delicious. We've been to a number of fine-dining restaurants, but nothing compared to Stage. One of the greatest fine-dining experiences my husband and I had. Thank you Mel and Michael, thank you Stage.

An awesome experience. The ambiance is trendy and romantic. The staff is very knowledgeable about their food, welcoming, and responsive. The food is delicious. There is a good variety. It's a fusion of various cultures, you can have a Beef Wellington, pork belly, or fish.

Wow this is a fun & delicious restaurant. The food is inventive but the atmosphere is not stuffy. Everything runs with precision but you still feel like you are at a cool, very unique dinner party. We also loved the wine bar (2 days later bc one time is not enough) for a more casual meal. 10+
