***AWESOME FATTENING FOOD**** Yes, it's a grease pit, but a smash hit in Waikiki. This little resturant packs a big punch in the nostalgia category. Featuring wall to wall to ceiling memorabilia and merchandise that is for sale. If you love Elvis, come here. If you love the 1950s to 1980s....this place is for you. We played 10 games of pinball and had a blast. Try the 3 scoop banana split and the chocolate malt shakes. Food prices are reasonable, and the dessert prices are a little steep. The two balance the bill for what tpu can expect to pay on Hawaii. Great time, Great little place, Good comfort food and a lot of cool stuff to see. Hit the HELPFUL button if this was beneficial for you. Thanks! Brian Hargis Google Guide

Amazing! Very very nice staff and very fast! We got the loaded tater tots and burgers with fries! Burgers had a Smokey flavor like it was fresh off a real grill. Fries were crispy and the tater tots were awesome. Bacon was thick and real. Loved it and will totally be coming again.

Great Atmosphere! Great food, the burger is juicy and has tremendous flavor. Prices are like all of Hawaii, but the food and relaxed atmosphere is well worth it. Sorry no food pictures (too hungry)but we had the bacon burger, the Lassi, Laverne and Shirley and the Magnum. Oh and don't forget the dessert, we had the King Kong Banana split and an Adult Milkshake.

Very cool restaurant with an incredible selection of memorabilia. Food was good. We did the happy hour beer and maitai. The service was excellent and she talked with us and had a great conversation. Definitely feels like a good neighborly spot. I would recommend.

My husband and I are visiting Hawaii for the first time and found a goldmine. The food was hands down DAG-GUM DELICIOUS!!! The customer service was over the TOP the best we had in Hawaii. The food came out so fast fresh and HOT!!! I ordered "Popeye" Fried Fish Sandwich & "Hawaii Five-O" Onion Rings, my husband ordered "Bacon Cheese Bopper" Hamburger. We will be back!!! AND if you love Elvis Presley check out there retail shop. Some oldies but goodies!!

Food was so good. The fries and onion rings were the best part, the burgers paddy was cooked perfectly. The root beer float was very yummy. The milkshake there was really good they even gave us the leftovers of the milkshake and a milkshake was way better than Baskin Robbins

Great atmosphere for a restaurant. You walk into a 50/60s themed diner. The diners personality is very warm and inviting. The food was great too! I loved the fun names and hospitality of the staff. Got my order right down to a T! I would recommend if you're looking for a nice sit down restaurant that is niche to the area!

My favourite restaurant on the island. A proper diner, lacking only wheels and a lot, of a sort you just don't find on the mainland anymore. It's excellent, the menu is excellent, the staff are excellent, and the atmosphere is excellent. I'm using the word excellent a lot. It's excellent. It's just excellent. Also, they'll do a veggie burger if you ask.

Really enjoyed their happy hour beer and food. I think their happy hour was 3-6pm and the beer was $4. The restaurant is old fashioned diner and uniquely designed with its vintage decor and sell them too! I wish i found this place earlier. Good beer time after hiking and chicken wing&fries was soo good

Cool place. The food is amazing and fresh. They had variety of drinks, pets friendly dining separately. If you are around it’s worth dining.

Very nice Diner, very friendly staff and very good food. My wife's meal size was good, only my fries with cheese and chili could have a bit more. I compensated that with a draft beer at happy hour for only 3 dollars.

Neat little space run by only two people. They were very friendly and the service was good. You order at the counter and they drop off your meal. Lots of deep fried food a few burgers and dogs. The quality of the food suffers because as mentioned it’s a two person show. They don’t have time or resources to do different fare. That said these people were very welcoming and nice. The milkshake was the star onion rings and fries were good.

Very cute vintage diner! Really enjoyed the vibe! Gave my toddler all kinds of cool stuff to look at while we ate and my older daughter loved it too! Fun for all ages! We will definitely go again!

We had the Big Bopper burger, chocolate milkshake, and cherry coke. Everything was delicious. The menu had a big selection of Americana food like burgers, pizza, hot dogs, and many more options. The inside resembled an old-fashioned soda shop and had really cool memorabilia to look at and buy. The service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely eat there again.

Amazing food with amazing prices to match. Would definitely come here again if I visit the island. The food tasted great and was delivered quickly. The gentleman that helped us was also very friendly. The building also has lots of neat items to look at while you wait for your food. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Best service and food I had during my stay in Hawaii! :)

Excellent retro vibes and good food. There's also a pinball machine that we tried out and a bunch of collectibles for sale. Had the luau nachos, a chilli cheese dog and their pizza dog, all of which were great.

It was a bit warm and sticky inside-No A/C. Hamburger and onion rings were good. Vanilla shake was great. The Mac and cheese bites were so so. Waiter staff was super nice. Love watching the old flicks on the TVs.

Loved the nostalgia of the restaurant. It's fairly small, but the vintage items make it worth the trip. Quite a bit was for sale. I had the chili cheese dog and onion rings. Both were okay - not great, but you're there for the whole experience. The group did say they would go back.

Amazing hospitality! The people there love to talk nostalgia and really invite you in. I went there to see the memorabilia and had a snack and drinks. The “Elvis” peanut butter banana sandwich was delicious.

I went here for happy hour and couldn't be happier! Had a great atmosphere for all ages, friendly and swift service, and delicious meals and drinks at affordable prices. Also had art and games to keep you and your family entertained. I would highly recommend Rock Island Cafe for those of all ages :)

Really cool 50's themed dinner. The food was excellent with a good variety. The staff was great, the food came quickly. They have memorabilia all over the place, even the folding doors to the little patio. For the location, the prices were very friendly. Great place to start our vacation at.

This restaurant is a rare gem from a lost time. The burgers are big, juicy, and flavorful. The fries are crispy and not drenched in grease. The chocolate shake with peanut butter added to it was a beautiful end to a satisfying and well proportioned meal. Almost ordered an appetizer, but the size of the burger combined with the fries was enough to satisfy my bottomless appetite for delicious food. The setup of the restaurant was a bonus as well. Well decorated with old-school and current movie memorabilia that is also available for purchase. I usually only review the good, the bad, and the ugly, but I'm pleased to leave a review for the few, but truly phenomenal restaurants like this gem. Well worth the price in my opinion.

The atmosphere was amazing. The people that work here are super friendly. If you are a lover of the 60-80's it's a must. The Hula bopper burger is a muat try. The fries are great too.

This place is INCREDIBLE! It was so good, we came on two different days for dinner. This themed diner is super entertaining. The servers are friendly and accommodating. The food is fantastic. Get the fries! This was probably the best food we had during our whole week-long trip, and we ate at restaurants costing much more! So good!

Great idea, the food was pretty lousey. The staff were amazing. Great for the atmosphere. Don't get the fish basket.

Good food, fun kitsch. It is still open, you need to wear your mask when not eating/drinking, but that is HA rules. Pulled pork sandwiches and onion rings were delicious.

Step back in time and enjoy the extreme memorabilia! If You love Rock, the 50's 60's 70's & 80's this place is AWESOME! Come for the fun and enjoy the reasonably priced food. Skip the lines in Waikiki and slip into the Vintage Dream of simpler times. This place is a gem hiding in plain view. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. For a casual lunch, immaculate diner and Aloha Service it doesn't get any better than this. Not "corporate" just cool. 😎

Want good old fashion Diner food, this is a fine place for that. We ordered a thick chocolate shake, chili cheese dog w/onions, onion rings & BBQ pork sandwich with fries 👍👍 Excellent service, easy social distancing dine in seating. I Love the nostalgic videos that play old music and TV shows. They also sell memorabilia. This is a walk up diner. No direct parking. Plenty of locals taking home orders.
