Whether you're a regular or a first timer to Side Street Inn the one thing you'll always remember is the serving sizes. Now with that in mind I always suggest getting the "Chef Colins Classics" set which can comfortably feed 4 people. I've provided photos of all the menu items and I've got to say that the consistency with the flavors of all the food is excellent. There's a lot of televisions broadcasting which ever game of importance at the time and it's says how casual this place is. Side Street Inn is well known as a great watering hole that serves easy to consume items and drinks in a comfortable sometimes loud but easy going environment. Which ever location you decide to go to I do recommend you get a reservation IF possible since there are no slow days or times at Side Street Inn. It is ALWAYS busy and for good reason, so if you've never been to or simply haven't visited in awhile, please do yourselves a favor and come in for some fantastic generous portions of food, have some drinks, and relax with everyone else.

Absolutely amazing food! HUGE servings so definitely bring a friend and an appetite. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were fantastic, friendly and had a great sense of humor.

Today was our first time eating dinner here, and it won't be our last. This place has amazing food. The food is family style and a la carte. Huge portions that are sharable with friends or family. It's a little overwhelming if it's just two people, but if you're anything like my wife and I, then you too love leftovers. We ordered the kalbi beef ribs and pork fried rice. The rice plate was so big that we ate ⅓ of it and probably took 3lbs home as leftovers. The ribs are thick and are strongly marinated with a nice char to them. They were a little tough but not bad for thick cut ribs. We also went home with rib leftovers too. ( I like cold ribs in the middle of the night 🤪) We also ordered the potato mac salad. It was thick and creamy with mayo. I personally make the best Mac salad in the world. I owned my own Hawaiian food truck and catering business in Alaska. I personally like to add red onion juice, a little dijon, sugar, and apple cider vinegar to my Mac salad. That being said, I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10 on their Mac salad. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and kept the waters refilled. I can't wait to go back and try the chicken and the porkchops.

Big portions and decent prices. Flavors and textures of Proteins are good and salad was tasty not too heavy dressing. Only issue, our server was not friendly nor pleasant; not sure if off day

This place is wonderful. HUGE portion sized meals which means this place is the perfect spot for family style eating. Bring a big hungry group and try a little (or a lot) of everything! Make sure to have both of their signature dishes, their fried rice and their garlic fried chicken. They’re the signature dishes for a good reason. Make reservations EARLY or try to walk in, just be prepared to wait for potentially a long time to get in.

It was our first time back to Side Street Inn since 2020 ... the food is just as we remembered it. We were a party of three and ordered way too much but we could not pass up ordering all our faves. Side Street did not disappoint at all - the pork chops, oh so good! Our server tried nicely to say, I think you guys are ordering too much, but we chose to not listen. We forgot how big the servings were.

We got the prefixe menu and were not disappointed. Definitely a lot of food that feeds more than 4-5 people. We had leftovers with 7 people. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to come back.

Can't say I agree with all these high ratings...It was just OK for me. Our waitress did mention Side Street Inn got hit hard during the pandemic and they opted to downsize their menu significantly. She informed us the menu was trimmed to a third of what was offered pre-pandemic. Some of the popular hits such as Kalua Pork sliders are no longer available... ~ Farmer's Salad (S) - 5/5 Surprisingly one of the more impressive salad I had in a while... Good size salad, definitely enough to fill you up for a meal. The Red Wine Vinaigrette was already added, wasn't given on the side, but it worked. The Okinawan Potato Curls was a lovely touch and worked perfectly. ~ Side Street's Signature Garlic Chicken - 3/5 I didn't see what all the hype was bout. The Garlic Chicken was good, but nothing outstanding...nothing to rave about and most certainly didn't think this was a must try. Good size portion, but doesn't come with anything, just the Fried Chicken. If you want something to go with it like rice or noodles, you will need to order it separately. Can't see myself returning...

Great food huge portions! Was recommended by a few locals and I am glad we tried it. Perfect for family style dinner. The fried pork chops were good but my favorite was the Korean short ribs were my favorite! Would totally comeback again. The food was so good I didn’t care that our server wasn’t.😁😂

This is a hidden gem in Kapahulu Ave, in Honolulu. The portions are what you dream of in every restaurant you go to, HUGE. Definitely go when you are very very hungry. Also great for large parties or to take the family. Must get their signature fried rice. We also got the garlic chicken, which is fried to perfection; along with their teriyaki beef, which was juicy and tasty. They also have a great selection of drinks to enjoy. A must go if you are in Honolulu!

Side street inn!!!! Always good food and great service! Just a reminder, make a reservation!!! If you don’t you’ll be waiting a while. Another thing is they don’t have valet parking so you have to park yourself. We usually go at night so lots of parking downstairs. We got the special which was 105 or 110?? Came with soybeans, salad, fried rice(a must have😋), pork chops(www.the bomb.com!!!), boneless kalbi, and the garlic fried chicken. Definitely worth every penny 😍. Will be back again!!!

We were so lucky to get seated without a reservation! Side Street Inn On Da Strip is very popular with locals and tourists alike. All their food is served family style and the serving platters almost overflow with the mounds of food. The garlic fried chicken was so moist on the inside yet had a slight crunch on the outside. The garlic wasn't overly strong which I really liked. The fried rice with lap cheong was a mountain of goodness! No room for dessert. Needless to say, there was a ton of food packed into To-go containers.

Family style diner with good bar like food. Note that their portions are HUGE. We got a pork yakisoba and fried garlic chicken for two of us and we couldn’t finish more than half of the noodles. The food was tasty however and reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. Definitely recommend.

This is a restaurant where your eyes can definitely get bigger than your stomach! We had a party of three and none of us have been back since the pandemic, so we ordered our favorites… needless to say that we ordered way too much food! The dishes we ordered were as remembered though and it felt great to devour as much as we could, but in all honesty, the portions were so big that we hardly made a dent. I’d highly recommend this spot, but it’s no dieters paradise, so be prepared to gorge yourself!

Tried this place for the first time. Good food, generous portions, fast service, good variety of choices. We took the package and added to it. Came out more than satisfied. Great choice.

The best spot by far. Crazy good local/ fusion food. Honestly just get the deal where you get basically everything. The garlic chicken is so good, the Kalbi is the best I’ve had, and the pork chops are chefs kiss. Fried rice is a yes. The poke is decent, the salad is weirdly really good. If you wanna get diabetes order the peanut butter crunch, unforgettable dessert. I love coming here with my family it’s good vibes. Best to make a reservation, if not there’s always the bar. Food comes out HOT and nobodies waiting for me to take pics so they’re steamy lol.

This place is amazing , always packed and serves beautiful food , with big family serving . I stumble on it by accident but the long queue at 6:30 on a wednesday says it all ! Servings is enormous ! We had the kalbi ( korean short rib) deboned ( perfectly cooked ) and deep fried Ahi Belly and a half portion asian salad. The kalbi is my favourite of course , but the deep fried tuna belly is also amazing . The half portion salad is more than enough for two people , as is the one serving of white rice . Highly recommended for family , couple and singles alike , 5 stars from me. It is a bit of a local institution apparently !

Garlic chicken was bomb!!! Salads were interesting with shrimp, taro chips, avocado all kine hiding in the salad. Fried pork chops were nice. Everything was fresh and tasty. Just be prepared to pay $7 for valet if you can't find street parking. Or get one parking lot next door but not sure how much cost?

Food was good, service was great. Glad we tried this spot but it wasn't worth the uber ride. We ordered for 4 people, but we could have easily fed 6 people. Portions were huge, but I still think the prices were a bit too much. We had the works fried rice, mac potato salad, sauteed mushrooms, fried garlic chicken, boneless kalbi (delicious but too fatty). We went on a weeknight where the wine bottles were 50% off, which was nice!!

Got the fried rice, garlic chicken and sauteed mushroom appetizer. Huge portions we barely made a dent in the plates. Everything was so good. Highly recommend. Make reservations, very popular for big parties.

Recommended by the locals of Hawaii. They are family size portions, which means the dishes are large enough to share between 4-5 people. Our waitress recommended the Chef Colin’s Classic, which includes the restaurants most famous dishes. Since we were a larger party, we ordered the classic and some smaller dishes to accommodate my party. I think the only plates we cleared off were the fried rice, the Yakisoba, the fried chicken, and the salad. The pork chop was good when it first came out. It wasn’t over cooked and dried like some pork chops can be but over time as it got cooler, didn’t taste the same. The kalbi was just ok as well as the teriyaki beef. I thought the teriyaki beef was a little too much on the sweet side. Most of the dishes were either too salty, or too sweet. The balance in taste was never just right. The service was just mediocre. I know it is troublesome serving a large party my size but I felt our waitress lacked motivation and customer service skills. That’s just my opinion though. I mean, we really tried to not bother her as she has other tables to serve. The price for the bill for a party of 10 came up to approximately $350. It’s pricey for food I thought tasted better elsewhere. I would probably visit other places around Hawaii if you are willing to commute.

So far my favorite meal on the island. Chinese crispy pork poke, special side street fried rice and boneless Kalbi🔥🔥🔥

I haven't been here in almost 3 years. I had to drink more than 5 glasses of water because I found the food to be too salty for me. I don't remember the food being so salty, especially the boneless kalbi. The set menu for $120 includes all of the favorites. Really enjoyed the salad. Sorry forgot to take a photo of the soy beans.

This is a great recommendation from Ian Aguinaldo. We selected the Chef Colin's Classics, which included their famous fried chicken, salad, edamame, fried rice, and fried pork chops. In addition, we added their delicious fried fish and sizzling beef ribs. The dinner plates are small to eat from but the waiter accommodated us by providing the large serving plates. Parking is limited in this area so we arrived by Uber. This family-style restaurant is always crowded according to my local cousins, but it is deliciously worth it.

This place deserves more than 5 stars ⭐! The customer service is on point, drinks are great and the food is DELICIOUS! My husband and I have been to many restaurants in Waikiki and this is probably my #1 favorite! We visited each time we have been in Hawaii and we will come back next time bringing over more family to try this place. This restaurant offers large portions of food, it's very family-friendly and always full, for a reason. Get there early around 4pm when they open because the place will be packed within an hour. We got yakisoba noodles, with a mushroom dish and fried garlic chicken. Everything tasted excellent!!

The staff was nice; Mei,our server, was excellent. Food was great, decent prices. Family-style dishes. We’ll be going back more often!

Went to Side Street Inn on the recommendation of our uber driver. He said it's typical bar food, but it seemed more like Hawaii's take on the midwestern bar food I'm used to. The waitress let us know that food is family style, and after we ordered garlic chicken and yakisoba she let us know that that's probably enough. and good thing she did! i wish i could have eaten more garlic chicken, but i was stuffed! yakisoba was pretty uneventful, but it would please a crowd. i'd go back!
