Heard
a
lot
about
this
place,
so
I
made
a
dinner
reservation
for
the
last
night
me
and
my
family
would
be
in
Oahu,
to
top
off
our
amazing
trip.
It
was
definitely
a
unique
food
experience,
but
I
can't
say
I'm
on
board
with
the
P&L
hype
train.
The
combinations,
while
inventive,
did
not
really
produce
memorable
flavor
profiles.
At
times,
it
seemed
forced.
The
Washugyu
Flank
Steak
dish,
for
example.
The
crying
tiger
sauce
makes
anything
taste
good,
the
washugyu
steak,
also
great
by
itself.
The
steak
and
sauce
together,
however,
was
just...
a
good
bite.
It
wasn't
an
amazing
out
of
this
world
experience
I
expected
it
to
be.
The
real
hero
on
that
dish
was
the
fingerling
potato
medallions,
which
truly
stole
the
show.
The
Bo
Ssam
Bánh
Xèo
appetizer
was
okay.
The
kimchi
nuoc
cham
added
a
bit
more
flavor
to
the
ssam,
but
the
oysters
were
unnecessary
-
perhaps
there
as
a
reason
to
charge
extra
for
the
dish?
Bo
Kho
Papardelle
was
an
enjoyable
dish,
as
it
had
Vietnamese
flavors
infused
into
the
sauce,
albeit
not
a
strong
flavor,
which
is
a
bit
of
a
letdown.
We'd
have
expected
flavors
of
the
cultures
being
fused
to
be
brought
out
by
each
other,
not
tuned
down
to
a
point
where
it's
just
a
hint
of
each
culture's
presence.
Squid
Ink
Spaghetti
seemed
a
bold
decision
to
be
put
on
the
menu
as
it
looked
very
out
of
place
for
a
Viet
restaurant,
so
we
tried
it.
It
was
only
okay.
As
is
the
case
with
the
other
dishes,
it
tries
very
hard
to
be
something
extraordinary,
but
we
just
couldn't
figure
out
what
the
intent
was.
Vivo's
in
Orlando
did
it
better.
All
in
all,
a
semi
expensive
experience
that
was
a
bit
disappointing.
We
went
and
got
food
from
7-11's
afterwards
to
actually
fill
out
our
stomachs,
and
enjoyed
the
Southwest
&
Somen
salads
better.
Their
menu
does
change
fairly
frequently,
so
hopefully
your
experience
will
be
better.
