A real hidden gem of a cafe that seems popular with the locals - great food, ocean views, and nice relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful friendly staff. You need to scan the QR code to see the menu, and then queue & pay at the counter. They call the orders when they’re ready. Great food and good coffee. Bacon was crispy and omelettes well made. Lots of shaded outdoor seating with a lovely cool breeze. Perfect spot for breakfast by the ocean!

One of the best food i had while in Wakiki Honolulu. Their steak and eggs with rice just delicious. I def enjoyed it and wanted to be there everyday but of course you must try other places. The line can get long but it moves pretty quick. Ans its on the beach walk which will grant you access to awesome views of the water and surfers just hanging. Really good spot. Def go and experience the food.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Honolulu. It's a lovely open air restaurant on the beach off the beaten path of Waikiki without the hustle and bustle of a ton of people. Loved it so much we ate there 7 times for lunch and dinner over the week and a half we were there. Great food, very reasonable prices, no alcohol. Live music every night with Hawaiian dance lessons on Monday nights. The proprietor, Randy, is awesome. He let us get a pineapple to take home to our grandson and they don't normally sell them whole. Also treated us to some delicious cheesecake for our 50th. The evening sunsets were incredible and we highly recommend it. Thanks Randy.

This place was our favorite place when we visited Oahu. Unfortunately, we only found it on our last day! The price for food was about the same as most other places on the island for breakfast, but the portions were fairly generous. We had French toast and eggs Benedict. The French toast was fantastic and the eggs Benedict was also quite good. We would have preferred the English muffin be toasted, but otherwise no complaints. Overall we would rate the food four stars (we are picky), but it was the best breakfast we had had on the island. We ended up going back for dinner since we enjoyed it so much. I had the steak and shrimp as pictured. The rice was a bit dry and the shrimp were not peeled (which I prefer), but the steak and shrimp were both seasoned very nicely and tasted great. My wife had the poke bowl which was also quite good. The dole whip was the best we've had. As far as the ambiance, the place is right on the beach and the views are lovely. We didn't stay late enough to experience any live music. From what I understand they have live music every night. Overall we would rate this place five stars. The food is quite good despite not being perfect, and it is beautifully displayed on the plate. We enjoyed the open air with ocean views. We would definitely recommend this place.

Very nice cafe with amazing ocean views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Weather you’re there for breakfast, lunch , snack or cold beverages you will like it. It’s surrounded by beaches just few minutes away from the cafe. On some days , the have live performances during dinner times. I like it and will eat there again for sure.

Came here twice during our 7 nights stay because we loved it so much. No frills counter where you order and pick up your food. You pick your own table and sit down to eat and enjoy your food. There's even live music and views of the sunset. Overall, would definitely recommend this place. Food is good and price is very decent.

This is truly a hidden gem! Ordered smoothies, shaved ice, fruit cup, fish of the day, and their North shore smoothie in a 🍍... everything was perfect! The prices are reasonable. During our entire stay in Oahu, we have eaten out quite a bit along Waikiki - this place felt the most welcoming (bonus: our orders came with orchids). Highly recommend! Limited seating in the shade.

Nice staff. Quick food. Enjoyed post flight avocado toast and mango smoothie. Came back twice. $15 deal for 3 tacos. fish, pork and shrimp was delicious and great value. Lava flow drink was lovely too.

It just happened to be a rainy Friday night as I was walking back towards Waikiki along Queen's Surf Beach. I could hear the strains of a laid-back soft jazz ensemble, so I followed the sound, and also the pangs of an equally soft hunger for something tasty and unique. I found the answer to both cravings at the Barefoot Beach Cafe. As it pouring heavily, I parked my weary feet under a parasol umbrella-topped table, then made my walk to the counter to place my food order. The selection is large and varied; I choose the Ahi (ground fish -- yellow fin tuna) burger with sweet potato fries, and a whole pineapple drink, freshly cored and juiced. On a personal note, a 69-year-old man, hobbled on crutches into the open-air restaurant, so I offered him a seat at the table where I was seated. I learned from John, who has resided in Honolulu for 39 years, that he is a frequent diner at this cafe, knowing both the menu and the musical performers well. It’s great when you get to connect with the locals who are the best people to help you learn what makes a place really tick.

I had the taco trio with 2 pork & 1 shrimp taco. The shrimp was better. The pork was a little dry for my taste. My husband has the fish & chips & he thought it was good. I wouldn't go out of y way to come here, but it was convenient to our hotel & the live music was good. If this review was helpful, please click below. Thank you

Ambiance: 5/5 Food:4.5/5 Order is as shown in pictures. Veggie tacos and shrimp plate. Shrimp plate might look expensive but it’s worth it. It tastes good. They provide good amount of gravy than other restaurants in the area. It is hard not to recommend this. Tacos were good as well. They sell it with chips n salsa. It tasted good and no complaints for our orders. Cashier and everyone at the restaurants are friendly. Best part of our visit was live music within the vicinity. Artist playing there was too good and created a very good ambiance.

This became our breakfast/brunch spot for our entire stay. The food is delicious and good portions. Definitely try the smoothies with your meals. There is always a line but there a beautiful ocean view while you wait.

You’re vegan and also wanna enjoy a smoothies right out of the pineapple?🍍 This is the place to go. It’s the only one I found along Waikiki beach area. Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ We also got the tofu scrambled egg & the vegan quesadilla. Portion sizes aren’t huge. It’s a good amount so you don’t feel like you’ve overate. It’s one of the less pricey places. Every evening at 5:30 starting they have live music which is pretty nice. They also have enough tables and chairs to sit. The line can be sometimes pretty long, but all in all the wait wasn’t too bad. Definitely recommend!

A few days into our first trip to Hawaii and this place is a winner. I'm trying to sample other places to enjoy a fuller experience but have been to the Barefoot Beach Cafe every day! Amazing food, views to die for and an incredible pineapple smoothie, inside a full pineapple to boot! A feisty bird knocked over my wife's drink and it was replaced with no questions asked. There is also complimentary water with fruit through it which is also great! Great food, great service, Hawaiian vibes and spectacular views!

We enjoyed our breakfast here. Beautiful atmosphere. Food was mediocre. I got the Loco moco with fried rice: I found the patties a little undercooked. We also requested the eggs to be well done on the egg benedicts, which was poached instead. The staff were kind.

Wow, one of the best breakfasts we had. The eggs Benedict was outstanding. The steak and eggs was excellent. Such an amazing place to eat breakfast or any meal. It is right down by the beach what hbthe waves roll in and surfers ride the waves. Just awesome.

I don’t know of any other beachside eatery on Oahu where there’s a whole section of the menu devoted to vegan options! It’s hard to beat the breeze and the view (and the live music in the evenings) but the vegan menu really brings this cafe to a whole new level of wonderful. Had the vegan loco moco, which was very satisfying. The whole dish was very well seasoned, the burger patty had a flavor reminiscent of Japanese curry (really tasty), the gravy was luscious, and the tofu scramble was really fluffy and yummy. It was A LOT of food, so totally worth the $16.

Really nice ambiance, steps away from the water. The location is calm and peaceful with many locals dining. The food is ok, the brunch food is not as good as the snacks/main food.

Bit of a wait in line, and they seem to run out of ingredients quick, but all around great otherwise!

The view here is very nice. Excellent location. The food was good, not great. I loved the spicy shrimp, but the french fries were disappointing. Others in my group enjoyed the BBQ sandwich, but the hot dog got a thumbs down from the kiddo.

Great breakfast spot if you want to beat the Waikiki crowds. We went right before it opens and the line wasn’t too bad. The food was pretty good, and it’s awesome that you can sit right by the water. You can get smoothies in a pineapple too.

  • 3/5 T.T.Puslecki 2 years ago on Google
Very nice place right on the beach. All the tables with the ocean view…spectacular but: there are to many pigeons around and also a lot of them sit on table with customers. I wouldn’t say this is the cleanest place around. Also 12$ for pineapple shake is a bit much. Iced cappuccino is at best average

  • 5/5 Corrigan D. 2 years ago on Google
Some of the best food we have had with no reservations needed. Great if you don't want to be held to a reservations schedule. Have gone back at least once every day for either breakfast or Lunch.

  • 5/5 Ilya K. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best places to have lunch in town. Right on the beach, the food is delicious and very inexpensive. Loved the pineapple smoothie, pork, grilled fish and tacos.

  • 2/5 Piperton G. 2 years ago on Google
I kind of get the hype- the pineapple drink is pretty but way over priced. It’s a cup of blended pineapple inside a pineapple with an orchid and an umbrella decor for $12 , fun for a novelty but won’t get it again. The loco moco was incredibly salty… and I salt everything. The chicken tacos had zero flavors and bones so that was fun. Didn’t finish them and the chips and salsa were inedible. Great beach view, cool place for a Instagram pic.

I went here the very first day. We were able to find a table around 5:00pm, the band plays @ 5:30pm. I got a quesadilla, it was good! I shared the pineapple smoothie in the pineapple. Best one I've ever had!! I also came here the last day before I left Hawaii. I had to wait in line for 35 min cause the credit card machine was down, & the manager was trying to be fix it but had a line of people waiting which wasn't fair. They did let people in line know that the machine was down & to pay in cash. Except, we waited, & waited, & waited! When I was able to get food, I got the fish sandwich which happened to be a swordfish steak & a Sunrise Smoothie-strawberry, mango, w/ lemon juice. Both were fantastic!! There was no seating when we got there, but my fiance was able to kindly ask a gentleman that was sitting by himself if I could share the table w/ him since I had to put my plate somewhere. The manager really shouldn't have been trying to fix the credit card machine in between guests. I thought that was really unfair to everybody waiting in line!

The best thing about this place is the beautiful Waikiki beach view you get while you are having your breakfast. The views are stunning!! You order your own food and then sit outside next to the ocean, very beautiful. The food is very good and they have a good variety. We order Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes and Sweetbread French Toast . Both were delicious. Let’s not forget the Delicious pineapple smoothie and the passion fruit guava smoothie!! We would definitely recommend.

Burger was great, served hot and FAST. There is nothing like sitting on the beach, enjoying a tasty drink and some incredible food while the waves crash and the breeze flows through. Staff was friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. If you visit Waikiki, make sure you get down to this cafe in the park (away from the hustle & bustle) and enjoy a great view of the resorts.

My new favorite place in Waikiki to not just eat food but feed the soul. The wonderful menu, service, music, and location-location-location make it the ideal place to embrace what makes Hawaii so special.

  • 5/5 Randall C. 3 years ago on Google
Thoughtfully prepared and presented menu of delicious food with a nice variety . The staff are friendly and helpful. The setting is perfect. Breezy, relaxing, and clean. It's really nice to see a park concession that doesn't sell the same old boring fare of burgers, dogs, and pizza. Of course chicken and chips are on the menu, but so is a nice fish or shrimp plate, Hawaiian Kalua Pork and Cabbage, and there's even a compete Vegan menu.

  • 5/5 Alyssa S. 3 years ago on Google
I liked this place a lot on my trip to Oahu. The strawberry smoothie is really good!!! We got hot dogs and fries and there were a ton of fries in one order. :) There is live music but I’m not sure when that is scheduled.

  • 3/5 Eli G. 3 years ago on Google
It is a very nice place to be at, right in front of the beach. Nice staff. The food though is really bad, we had the french toast and avocado toast, they were both very dry and tasteless. The pineapple smoothie was awesome. I gave it 3 stars because if the location only, otherwise it would have been a 1

The last time I was there the people who work there were very accommodating. The reason is a fly flew into my eggs benedict due to outside dining and they had no problem replacing my order. Very kind. Thank you for taking an interest in my circumstance. Five stars from me! Try it out. They have really good food.

Barefoot Beach Cafe has delicious food. I had the fish sandwich which was made very well and was very tasty. It was a sandwich that was neat and put together well. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich which he also said was very good. My only qualm was that they lost our order and then almost didn't give us the food bc they couldn't find a record of us paying. Finally the cashier came over and straightened everything out. The food was very good though.

Late afternoon lunch watching the sunset what could you ask for. Very relaxing

  • 3/5 jolene h. 3 years ago on Google
You cannot beat the views here. Order breakfast, grab a table and they will call your name when your order is ready. No rush on the weekday. If you need extras like hot sauce or extra napkins, you need to ask the person at the window - it isn't a problem, but you can't just help yourself. After you eat, you are literally steps from two different beaches! Bring a snorkel and fins as you will want to get in the pristine water to explore.
