If you're looking for delicious tacos, this is the spot! I got a combo, I didn't really care for the ground beef tacos but the other meats are amazing. For a moment, it felt like we were in Mexico!

Hostess was very accommodating to diet & subbing things out. Lots of veggie options! Great little hole in the wall- perfect for a quick bite if you can grab a parking spot!

I love Alejandro's. The food is made fresh, the people are kind and it's a cozy, local kind of place. 5 stars for the 3 taco combo. A great place to go off the beaten path.

So cute! It looks like its gonna be sketchy from the outside but the inside is decorated nicely, the food is great and well priced, and the employees are so friendly!

Wow. Blown away at how good the food is here!! Was just trying to find some quick lunch on the way back home to Kailua, and decided to check out Alejandro’s. Tacos are the most authentic we’ve had here. The hot sauce is so ono. Carnitas are the BEST!!! So flavorful!! We had to get more. Salsa is so fresh and delicious. The outside is deceiving, just because it’s in the middle of a neighborhood. Employees inside were so friendly and cheerful. We will be back!!!

Its authentic. Their sauces is nice and the meat in the taco is juicy. I tried the combo then went back again after 15min to get 6 ala carte tacos. It also has ample of parking spots for those who want to grab a bite or have a drink. They also have a pub just next to the eatery and you can choose to eat in the bar chatting with the bartender or eat at the eatery. They also join uber eat so you can have it delivered.

Nice "hole in the wall" bar and restaurant. Staff was professional and courteous. Parking is a bit tight but manageable. Nice ambiance and over all feeling was comfortable and friendly. The hats on the ceiling were a cool touch as was the bar countertop with the change under the resin. Chips and salsa were tasty albeit a little pricey. I enjoyed the carne asada and carnitas taco but not the beef taco so much. The carne asada quesadilla was good and the side of fresh avocado tasty.

Amazing food at a cheap price. It's kind of hard to find just so take your time. It's a small little business next to a laundromat.

Taco Tue features $0.50 off all tacos. Three types to choose from. Carnitas, ground beef and Carne Asada. Other daily specials and food available. Half walk-up and half cantina with limited seating.

This is totally the place you would say don't judge a book by its cover. Kind people, great food, fair prices and cool atmosphere. Nachos are bomb and the cheese slaps.

I loooooooove this place. Best Mexican cuisine on the island!!!! A little pricey for me but worth it honestly. They also offer military discount so if you got it use it.

Love the carnitas tacos! The only negative is the tacos were really greasy. Oil was dripping off the tacos. However, I gave 5 stars cause it's that good.

This is the best Mexican food. I’ve lived in Texas and this tastes just like home, down to the corn tortillas. I’ll be returning to try the rest of the menu. The red hot sauce was delicious with just a little kick.

Just picked up an order and the burritos we got were cold throughout. I called to tell them and I got told they were ready for 15 minutes even though I had only ordered 20 minutes before that and they said 15 minutes for it to be ready. Then I was told the beans were not very warm to start and if I had ordered meat it would be warmer. Why are your beans not warm? Why are you serving cold beans to customers? That’s gross and then I was told I can just microwave them. I mean I got a sorry too but sorry you can just microwave your food. I’d have preferred to have proper food made correctly.

Delicious food at a reasonable price! My boyfriend is not easily impressed but he really enjoyed the carnitas tacos. He said that it was cooked well and the pork was crispy. I also appreciated the veggie options and loved the veggie burrito! Their sauces are awesome and the red sauce had the perfect amount of kick. I would totally buy it by the bottle!

Easily the best Mexican food on the island! A lot more authentic than most places, and the food is delicious every time!! You can always judge a restaurant based on how good their vegetarian options are. A lot of places don’t season their food and rely on the meat and cheese to carry the dish. ALL of Alejandro’s food is flavorful - even the vegetarian options! The veggie bowl with avocado is my all-time fav.

Little take-out place near where I live. Decent food, nothing amazing though. Of course, I'm from Cali so have high expectations of Mexican food. But for Hawaii, this place is probably amazing.

We ordered tacos, burritos and a few extras. We had all beef and none of us liked it. The meat was very dry. We ordered at approximately 3pm. Sadly, I have to agree with the one star review. Giving three stars because the staff was nice and the order was correct. The beans, rice and horchata were better. We won't be returning.

Great flavor! The Macho burrito was huge! A little pricey but good the price was 14.99 vs. 15.99. It was a dollar off on this day!

Nice hole in the wall restaurant for Hawaii. There are a few dishes that aren't served there but what can you expect? I will be going back very soon to try more of their dishes!

Carne Asada burrito. Carnitas taco. Chips and salsa. Drink. Came to $22 total. Everything was delicious but standout was the carne asada. Dope spot, ate at the table outside. Definitely going back again.

Family was craving tacos and stumbled across this place by chance. It comes with some great dive bar feelings, but the food was incredible. We order chips and salsa, tacos, and a wet burrito (burrito smothered in enchilada sauce. Everything was great. We will definitely return in the future and bring friends and family here for an "off the beaten path" experience.

Seriously disapppinted. This place is more in line with the low end reviews realistically I ordered nachos to go expecting to get them served to me traditional.... although I appreciate the sentiment of avoiding my nachos getting soggy by separating the chips from the topping... as a mexican that's not what you expect... I expect to see nachos served traditional or at least offer that as an option for to go's. The macho burrito enchilada sauce tasted store bought, meat was dry, rice was clumpy, beans were clumped up in the back and not poured over and to top it off the nachos were served with that yellow supeebowl nacho cheese. Alejandro where is the queso fresco y también the real queso.. What I recieved is not traditional nachos..... Oh and the sauces looked water down too. Neither sauces were traditional mexican made. Trust me. Was really rooting to enjoy this place but sadly did not.

This place is a solid spot for Mexican food and drinks - the tacos are delish, the service is friendly, and you can slam out a few loads of laundry next door!

  • 2/5 Andie S. 4 months ago on Google
We visited as it had almost five stars. Food is not authentic. Chips are store bought not made in-house, enchilada sauce tasted like tomato soup which was not bad but I wanted enchilada sauce. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito and beans were good but sour cream had a funky taste .

  • 5/5 Richard M. 3 years ago on Google
Love the taco plate. I had the beef tacos with beans and rice...red and green sauces included of course! Guarantee good, really hit the spot. I would of taken a picture, but the faka is already gone! Next time!

Nice little place on Kalihi St, hidden in the residential area near the Like Like. They serve delicious Mexican food with a simple menu. Parking is tight and seems to be very popular. The best part about my lunch visit was the friendly staff. definitely over the top in customer service and satisfaction. Always serve with a smile. The food taste great and the free sauces are good too. I reccomend for good food.

Trash, go to Taco Bell. If you have ever eaten Mexican food anywhere in California you will be completely disappointed. The food is bland with no spice or even salt. I went to this location thinking it would be better than the one in near Waikiki. Don’t be fooled by the high reviews. The people that give it high reviews have never had good Mexican food. If you visiting from a different country try it it out, if you know what good Mexican food taste like this is not it. Save your money, go to L and L better.

One of the better Mexican food spots, though a little out of the way. If your looking for a Tex-Mex burrito get the Macho, the rest may be a little small for your taste. Flavor wise, on point though I would like a little more spice in my salsa. With covid, I just took whatever they had out and never thought to ask for Tabasco. I like a little heat in my mex food ;)

Best Mexican food I have tried on the island of Oahu so far. I was born and raised in Southern California so I know authentic Mexican food. This was definitely comforting being so far away from home by myself. I definitely recommend!

Super Legit especially the Carnitas and Carne Asada!

  • 1/5 Larry V. 3 years ago on Google
Sad to say but the burrito de carne asada was horrible. Meat was dry and when I opened it up there were 2 little pieces of cilantro. No flavor at all. The habanero salasa was good though if your a fan of 🔥! 3 young asian girls were rumning the place. I'll stick to Pacos Tacos. Wish it was better. My wife said her carne asada taco plate was okay. Authentic? No it's not.
