A neighborhood spot currently only doing takeout. The food is well priced and quite delicious. Their ribs are sweet and tangy and well spiced. The scallops were a little bit overcooked but fresh and savory with pepper seasoning and mushrooms. Their service is fantastic. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some straightforward yummy eats.

Heard about this place through a travel guide. Was initially skeptical but the food and service were incredible. The no-frills, laid-back atmosphere made it feel like the place was dedicated just to us. Ribs were tender and cooked to perfection. Person I was dining with said the NY steak was one of the best he's ever had. Not even accounting for the low price, it's one of the best places to eat in Honolulu.

Great late night food & service! Definitely exceeded our expectations and it wasn’t too pricey (for Hawaii). The blue steak dish amd this wings were so good!

No frills, all flavor. Will runs the place day and night, churning out fancy food for take out prices. We liked it so much we came back again a week later. My recommendations? Macnut Mahi is #1 (THE SAUCE🤤), with the quesadilla coming in a close second. Order 20 mins before you get there and it’ll be ready for pickup by the time you arrive👌🏼

Literally THE BEST food ever! We were pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood restaurant. Open late, incredible menu, service and prices!! We ate here TWICE on our trip!

This was our very first stop right after checking into our hotel. The food was everything we wanted it to be, and we had high expectations. Order the scallops, scampi, soba and quesadilla. Nothing disappointed but the scallops and soba were at the next level of flavor

It is amazing that a place that only does takeout could have the worst service quality I've seen. Mostly due to Will, the chef & owner. If I wanted arrogance and attitude with my meal I'd go to a 3 Michelin star French restaurant on a bad night.

Came to Oahu on vacation and found A Place to Eat! Open late so made a perfect late night stop! The food here is INCREDIBLE and especially for the price. We got steak, scallops, quesadilla, ribs AND dessert!!! Super low key spot that deserves 10 stars. We loved it so much we ate there twice!! Thank you for the great food and service!!

Delicious small menu with lots of flavor! Only complaint is that my orange shrimp scampi came with shrimp that weren't properly cleaned 😕

Great tasting food, my chicken wings was undercooked but I ate it anyways I didn't catch salmonella huge plus there, the steak was perfect and well priced. One of the people that shared my meal said the rice tasted like minute rice. 🤙🗿🤙🗿

A hidden gem of Honolulu. No table service and you can bring your own cutlery, plates and alcohol if you want or grab to go, but the food is fantastic and the owner is super nice. Awesome steak for $12! Should be called, "A place to eat well for cheap!" Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Mahalo.

2022.08: Sadly they are having to close their long time retail location and moving to random pop up sites. See social media for where they are. Hey, KS properties…they are great, you wound be akamai to find them a new home unless you want to loose them to BP Retail or A&B. 2020: Who knew!? Great people, great food, great hours at fast food prices! I worry that either I am a character in the Matrix (who made a deal) or its a front for some higher profit illicit business. 😁🤙🏻

I vaguely remember the first time I came here, about 3 years ago. All I could recall was that the food was better than the empty interior would lead you to believe. This place has awesome food, made with great ingredients and it confuses me that it has such slow times. Everyone should try A Place To Eat at least once. If not for the hunger pangs, do it for the fun you'll have messing with people when they ask you where you want to go for diner...

Very good experience ! The service is lovely, the food is excellent and affordable for a restaurant near Waikiki.

The cook and cashier are both unpleasant a plain rude. I got harassed and yelled at from the kitchen because THEY were out of certain dishes and didn’t care to explain which ones. They only had me ask and then tell me no I couldn’t have that. Take your money elsewhere.
