I'm ashamed to admit I had never been to this restaurant/ fish stall before. OMG! If you love sashimi like I do, you need to come here! High quality sashimi and very good prices. I still can't believe they charged me only 30 dollars for some high grade Blue Fin Tuna! It tasted and went down like butter! You know they could easily charge this for double the price at restaurants. The rest of the of sashimi, uni and scallops were simply delicious! There is only 4 small tables for eat in. It's located inside a market in Chinatown. Lots of homeless walking around. Don't be afraid though, they don't bother you but will ask you for some money for food. EPIC meal and I will be back!

This was my first poke experience when I landed. Highly rated and well worth it driving into Chinatown. My cousins and I ordered the ume & shio, mix maguro donburi, chutoro & shoyu and the king salmon combo with a side of uni. Wow everything here was so fresh and buttery. Prices are reasonable. The fish to rice ratio is perfect. Speaking with one of the chefs they get their ingredients locally or through Japan every other day. Its a small location located in a small indoor shopping center with plenty of other food vendors. Lines here are pretty small and they prep your food really quickly. I am really pick with my sushi. The tuna, salmon and uni were definitely fresh. My cousins and I kept talking about Maguro being our favorites. There is outdoor dining right in the center of the shopping center. Parking is limited to street or garage parking. Highly recommend this place if you want qualify poke and better cuts of fish.

Sashimi was fresh! Rice was good! Vibes are great! Prices were also reasonable although I wish there was a little more volume. The The neighborhood is disgusting:( Parking was also a bit difficult so be prepared. Several homeless and mentally sick people roaming the streets. Maybe I caught Chinatown on a bad day but I haven't felt that uncomfortable in a while. I had to go there because the Waikiki location was closed. Next time I'll just wait until it opens the next day

What a great find. If you're in Chinatown, Maguro Brothers offers the freshest seafood at a reasonable price. The king salmon collar was perfectly grilled, simplistic but delicious. The raw fish was fresh, and also a generous portion. Overall a great meal.

When planning our trip to Hawaii I did a deep dive to try and find the best local foods. Maguro Brothers was featured on Munchies and definitely lived up to the hype. Some of the best poke I've ever had. Highly recommend. Very friendly and helpful.

The maguro brothers by Waikiki was closed so my family and I Uber down to Chinatown. The sashimi was super fresh and the sushi rice was super yummy! We tried the bluefin toro and really loved the texture of the tuna. We spend around $52 for the two items and got a sugar cane juice at mickey’s near by.

Some of the best quality fish I’ve ever had. Was recommended this place and it did not disappoint. A bountiful selection of really fresh seafood, pulled out of the water that very morning. The steamed clams were divine, the pokes delicious in their own right but the fatty tuna/uni was exceptional. Amazing amazing stuff. Definitely worth the effort to seek this mythical place out. A fantastic bang for you buck eatery located in a vibrant Chinatown market. Dos sushi’s up 🍣🍣

This was one of my fave meals in Hawaii! I got the chirashi bowl with scallop sashimi-so fresh and delicious. The owner (I think it was) was very kind also. I wish I lived there so I could eat here often!

The best poke you’re going to have in town. Insanely fresh! Skip the Waikiki location, because this one is where it’s at. We arrived a smidge before 9AM & were the first ones here. The Chinatown location is more local friendly, because tourists rarely venture there. Worth it to come here early & get the fish the moment it arrives. We pretty much ordered every fish type they had along with some poke trays and add ons. It doesn’t get fresher than this! We watched them filet it, and prep everything before opening. So amazing! They’re friendly, and the food is so good!

Authentic spot for fresh fish in a local food market. There are a few small high chairs to eat there, otherwise good for take away. Quality was great!

They are a hidden gem in china town. We had Grilled Hamachi, chirashi don and scallop. All are awesome with very good price. This is our favorite place on Oahu. Owner are kind and friendly.

Fresh fish at market price. Higher end quality, so the prices are a bit up there. Fish dishes look yummy. A little more than your regular poke bowl, but not outlandish like the mainland kind of poke bowls either. I didn't buy a dish but some fresh salmon belly to cook at home later in the evening. Service is friendly and welcoming. I dropped the stars for the atmosphere only because of the location. They are in the food court of MaunaKea Market place food court. Not exactly enticing, but you also don't have to stay and eat there, so it's up to you.

Fish is pretty fresh except for the uni. Portions are quite small for the higher price point; $25 for the chutoro poke bowl with a splash of uni. Overall disappointing especially with the tendon in that toro. Definitely not top tier in Oahu.

This was the last place we ate at before jumping on a plane back home. We've heard the reviews were good and it was true! Poke had great flavor, but the grilled tuna really hit the spot. The tuna came with a few sides that complimented the overall flavor.

Excellent sashimi and poke. The portions feel smaller than a couple years ago. But still quite delicious. There was no line on a Tuesday noon time! We only waited a handful of minutes for our orders. Parking is just street parking around the area snd it shouldn't be too hard to find available spot but you may need to pay at the meter. Definitely recommend.

$28.12 after tax for chutoro with ikura and uni. The rice was dense and seasoned perfectly. Its temperature was just right. The ikura, uni, and tamagoyaki were excellent as well. Everything tasted fresh! Simply said, you can tell a seasoned Japanese sushi chef was behind the counter. The chutoro, however, was a bit of a disappointment. The slices were thin and tasted no better than Akami. Also, the portion size seems like it was right out of Tokyo (ie too small for most Americans). At this portion to price, I’d lean towards paying a little more for a decent Chirashi at the local sushi joint. Maybe their salmon or Chirashi will provide better value - I will find out next time!

Got the ahi with shoyu & sweet onions (and $4 side of ikura), a benchmark to set expectations for poke across the island. I was impressed with the smoothness of the ahi and the coating of the sauce, but felt the portions were small for the price. The counter service was simple and the food service was quick, so no complaints there. It was difficult to find parking for this Chinatown-location and the food court-style seating left a lot to be desired, but the food was delicious. Would recommend to others, but perhaps at their other location.

The quality of the fish was amazing! We got a chirashi and maguro and both were excellent. Prices are very good for the quality. It’s located in a mall in Chinatown with other food vendors. There are tables available inside and outside for eating.

A second location to the famous Maguro Brothers in Oahu! This place’s poke is a more of a nod to your classic Japanese sashimi on rice, while still offering a few Hawaiian poke options. We had the Mix Maguro Donburi, Chutoro Donburi, King Salmon Donburi, Hawaiian Limu Ahi Poke Bowl, and a side of Hokkaido uni and Ikura. All of these plates were refreshing, high quality, and such a treat. If anyone in your party prefers to stay away from raw fish, their grilled selections are phenomenal as well — We tried one of their grilled ahi, which was cooked perfectly!

Wait time was a little longer but you can go shop or look around on the mean time. Food was fresh and delicious we had two visit twice on our trip. I think prices were actually on the cheaper side for some great sushi!

Consistently fresh and tasty poke. King salmon sashimi simply melts in mouth. The Chinatown location also offers cooked food like the delicious grilled miso salmon. Usually fewer people in line compared to the Waikiki location.

Ordered the hamachi poke bowl, flavor was very good and the portion is the right size, not too much rice compare to other stores.

Awesome poke spot. Classic japanese style poke. Place is busy and hard to find parking for since it's in a food market with different vendors. But totally worth it if you can make it. Fish tastes really clean and fresh.

Best poke I’ve had!!! Little hole in the wall place inside a fish market…

I've had Maguro Brothers bookmarked for a while because of their $6 poke bowls (small). It's now $6.75 but it's well worth it and a great deal - if you are not getting supermarket poke. Hubby and I got there at around 11 on a Thursday and there were already a few groups ahead of us who had already ordered. There are three tables but luckily no one was dining in, so we had the seating area to ourselves. We ordered the Hawaiian Limu Ahi with a side of uni for an additional $6.95. While it was good, I don't know if it was worth it sine it was such a small side. You're probably better off ordering a second small poke bowl. The ahi was great though - no complaints there, and they give a good amount even for a small. While I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here next time, I definitely would make a stop if I happened to be in Chinatown. Tip - located in the back of Kekaulike Market

This place was in the back of the Chinatown market. The food was so fresh and a must if for Poke in Hawaii!

I got large chirashi and poke combo. For $24, I would expect more fish and less rice. Fish is just mediocre - you can eat it everywhere esle in Honolulu. Also driving all the way to Chinatown and waiting in line in a wet market facing a bunch of raw meat/intestine is not pleasant. Would not recommend come all the way here to get it
