Been wanting to try this place out. I love pizza and use to work at a place that served this kind of neapolitan pizza. The kind that uses fresh hand stretched dough and san marzano tomatoes. Well, we tried something different and was a little disappointed. Dough chewy and yes I know it's not cpk or dominoes. I can still appreciate the craft of making pizza from scratch. Papadelle pasta was to die for. Fresh pasta is the way to go. If you need a good pasta this is the place. Overall service was okay, drinks came out reasonably quick. Lots of staff walking around not really doing much. Our server didn't come back to us after we stopped eating for about 10 minutes. Would have been nice to have a check back here and there. Dessert was good.. pistachio oreo cheesecake. Smooth and light. Nice way to end the meal. To the girl who opened the door as we exited. Thank you. A simple gesture as such will keep me coming back. For lack of service and attentiveness.. I hate to do it but 4 stars is as high as I can go.

It was not only soooo tasty but the hospitality was out of this world !!!!! 10/10 My boyfriend and I came in for a quick bite before our kitty appt at the cat & tea cafe and my boyfriend let them know we were kinda short on time. They were so nice about it and checked in on us had the food come out fast. The vibes were so amazing and welcoming, definitely be coming back.

Wonderful place to dine and enjoy a meal with long time friends. But it wasn’t what I was looking for at the time. Although the pizza was enjoyable, I felt it lacked depth in flavor. I do enjoy a good pizza but this style of pizza is not the one for me. I’d still say its worth trying and seeing if this pizza is the pizza for you.

Love the pizza here. Pizza made from locally sourced products. Tried a burrata & beet salad, and 2 different types of pizza. Go and see Lexi, awesome customer service!! Well definitely go back, either to dine in or take out.

Staff is phenomenal. Excellent service! The gorgeous drink you see is the spirit walker 10/10! We ordered the meatballs and a pepperoni pizza with the diavola added. Food came fast and was so delicious!

Neapolitan style pies. Had the pepperoni pizza and took it down, it was fantastic. The crust is soft and chewy with great flavor, and the red sauce is well seasoned. Server Lexi was fast and attentive, and had great insight on menu items to address questions. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

We've been fans of Brick Fire Tavern's Neapolitan pizzas since 2016 and were disappointed yet excited for its certified trained pizzaiolo owners when they decided to move from Chinatown to Kaimukī in 2020. Wow! What a time for a move as we are amid the pandemic but, to us, even as we were doing our best to stay in place, we were still drawn to Brick Fire Tavern's pizzas. However, it's taken us almost a year since BFT's move (September 2020) to Kaimukī to get a taste of what we've been missing. Usually, I make dining reservations through OpenTable.com, but this time, I decided to call my reservation in. Fortunately, there were still a few reservations for the date and time that I wanted. I also inquired about the location of their parking lot behind the building with its entrance on the makai side of 9th Avenue off Waialae Avenue. Their open parking lot was spacious, but please note that the lot is shared with other businesses, so if it's crowded, you'll probably have to look for metered or free street parking. Sophia, our server, introduced herself to us with positive and friendly energy. She asked if this was our first time dining with BFT Kaimukī, which we confirmed, but we had been regulars at their former Chinatown location. We also mentioned how much we liked their new location because it's only a 4-mile drive away and has the bonus of free parking. Their Kaimukī restaurant is larger and has a more open contemporary layout. We didn't order adult beverages or appetizers because BFT was our second stop in our celebratory progressive dinner. It didn't take us long to place our order because we spotted one of our favorite BFT pies, Da "Shrimp Truck" ($21) and the Bolognese Pappardelle ($23). Both dishes were prepared well and tasted as delicious as we remembered. Throughout our dining experience, Sophia's attentiveness and friendly demeanor were welcoming and yet unobtrusive. Her fun-loving and positive attitude added to our already exciting evening. Brick Fire Tavern's food was on point, and we're already looking forward to returning for more.

If you, like me, are an East Coast transplant who cries all the time over the lack of pizza (real pizza) on this island, you can stop crying now. When I say I shed a tear of joy, I mean it. Pure, Neapolitan pizza, joy. Even if you're not an East Coaster who's been missing pizza, you'll still find this extremely delicious. The chewy crust and marzano sauce are perfect. There are traditional pie options, and a quite a few other delectable sounding combinations. They also have a list of goodies you can add to any pizza (ricotta, extra meats, cheeses, egg, etc). We split a pasta special similar to a clam linguine and there wasn't a drop left on the plate. I ordered the Enzo pizza, which is their margherita plus salami and fresh ricotta.... happy tears inducing. Get the Cannoli if you have room!

Authentic Italian pizza! Got to meet the owner briefly when I picked up my order, and it's so amazing that he spent several months in Italy to learn how to make pizza in the traditional way! Ingredients were good, flavors excellent, staff very friendly. I did take out, yet took a look around the restaurant and it looks great! Very clean and modern, AND tables spread out for social distancing. Great place for a date night.

My family and I recently visited the Amalfi Coast, and dinner at BFT took us back to Italy. The wine, pizza, pasta, and dessert were delicious. My favorite was the mushroom pizza. Our server Sam was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent!

I could not have been happier to have dined here when I did. After being out all day they were more than able to make accommodations for myself and my stroller confined canine over at the bar. The energy was lively and the staff were friendly. The pizza I had was great, but I would like to try more the next time I visit. I'll be excited when I do!

Great experience! We have been wanting to try this new pizza place for a while now. It was in the neighborhood and so we went on a Saturday evening and thought we would have to wait. Nope even though the restaurant was full our timing was perfect because there was 2 seats at the bar open.. Front row seats to the show as they may say, The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice, new and fresh. The bartender came right up and introduced herself "Ari" I believe was her name, she got us waters and gave us a few minutes to check out the menu. We started out with drinks -The Roman Hills and the San Carlo they were very good and crafted to perfection. We ordered Fresh Pulled Mozzarella appetizer and the soup of the day which was a mushroom soup both very good. I asked Ari what was good (I know waiters hate that question but since we had never been there I was curious) she told us that the flour they used was the best quality and the water was a certain PH and that is what makes their pizzas different. So pizza it was we ordered their "Mamma Mia!" pizza with Black Truffle Pate added to it. Wow it was so good, I do not usually eat the crust of pizzas but the dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and melt in your mouth on the inside. The only down side was that the crust on the bottom of the pizza was very flimsy kind of had to fold it over to be able to pick it up to eat. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone that wants a good pizza experience.

Great service and fun pizza place with many options to choose from. They also have specials that can be fun for patrons to try. The pizza is 12" and divided into 6 slices (if I'm not mistaken) so they are good for sharing if you are not a big eater and there are options for meat lovers and vegetarians. For a group of 0It does get pretty crowded so it's best that you make reservations ahead of time. They can also cater to large groups well without feeling like you're breaking the bank. I also like the service, the staff were all warm and fun to talk to and gave excellent recommendations. They also have fun desserts and we had the pistachio cheesecake and cannolli. For a group of 10 people we split about 6 pizzas, 2 cannollis and one cake.

The restaurant was clean and my wait times were all decent. The pizza was freshly made, but it was OK at best, definitely nothing special for Neapolitan pizza 7/10. My server Jen and another server with a motorcycle tattoo were the only staff that made me feel welcomed with there customer service. Pistachio Cheesecake was pretty good

Normal pizza is 12", cut in 6 slices. Pizzas have two types of sauces: San Marzano (Red sauce); Besciamella (White sauce). The pizza is thin with a puffy chewy crust. To start off, we had the House Meatballs as an appetizer. The appetizer had 3 large meatballs (~2" each) and 3 slices foccacia bread. Meatballs slightly spicy and very good. We tried the Mamma Mia pizza, which is like a meat lovers pizza. We also tried the Funghi pizza. We had a party of five and shared the dishes. Both of these were good. Lunch option: 8" pizza w/appetizer or salad. Great service, friendly staff. Parking in the back is shared with a few other businesses. About 20 stalls. Parking entrance is on 9th Avenue which is one way. Best to turn from Waialae Avenue onto 9th Avenue.

Impressive pizza oven. Tastes like homemade pizza dough. Wish it was more crisp on the bottom. The veggie pizza had great flavor from the basil, mushrooms and san marzano tomatoes. The Manila clams were very tasty and spicy. Loved the crunchy bread toasties to soak up the sauce.

What a great place...you would miss it if you didn't know what to look for. The pizza was fantastic... great wine selection. Also the bartenders crafted the special drinks, so give them a try. We sat at the bar as there were no reservations left for the time we wanted. Ari was bartending...let's just say Wonderful! Knows her wines and had the greatest personality!

Authentic and original (strange combo) spot. Pizza is proper delicious and the salads and drinks are fantastic. You don’t have to fly to Italy to get a taste of its cuisine because it’s here in Oahu!

This place has been on our radar for a while. we thought about having Italian food tonight and said if it was meant to be we would eat here. We drove by a parking spot right in front of the door. We have been here 3 times and have been pleased with the food and service. We will be back again to try more from their menu.

Really good pizza. Meatballs are nice too, pretty close to grandma’s. Only things I would change for personal preference is to burn the crust a tiny bit more to add some char, otherwise very close to being in Italy.

Truly warm atmosphere. Food was unique and very tasty. Servers were very accommodating and friendly. We brought our 2 year old and they helped keep her entertained which is amazing. She loved the food as well. The drink selection was impressive and well thought.

First time in this location last month. We went around opening time on a Saturday for a celebration. Beautifully decorated and spacious location! I liked that it felt so open and having some natural light in through the windows was nice. We had some pizza, salad and an appetizer. The pizza was as delicious as ever albeit slightly charred. Service was good though a little slow. But we don't mind waiting for pizza this good.

Naples, Italy style Pizza in Hawaii. Thin, chewy with quality toppings. They have a good lunch menu, too. Appetizer & Entree choice. I was happy with my salad and the Pasta of the day choice!
