Great little gem just off Chinatown. $10 per person entry. You get a map and bird guide. Easily walkable, minor steps otherwise mostly level. No homeless camping in here, guessing because of the fee. Lots of shade and benches to sit. Easy parking and easy walking to bus lines.

My wife and I went Foster Botanical Gardens and spent a couple of hours enjoying the flowers, plants and wildlife here. A lot of trees and plants and flowers located here. We loved the birds and reptiles (little geckos) around the gardens. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the gardens. The butterfly garden is a very nice area to do this.

I came to Foster Botanical Garden during the week and it was pretty busy already. Looking around to see plants was relaxing. But I wish there were plants in younger form because the mature trees were too tall to see the leaves, like fan palms.

Beautiful garden. Well keeped and a great stop away from tourist stuff. Get there early, parking is on site. There are bathrooms available inside garden as well. $5 for visitors and $3 for locals. You can take a lunch and have a picnic.

Visited Jan 18 & 27 2022. We have been here twice on our vacation so far. Such beautiful gardens on the beautiful island of Oahu Hawaii. Love the amazing information this botanical garden provides while walking through the garden. Just bought a yearly pass for a very reasonable price I love the abundance of butterflies. Took photos even while walking on the outside perimeter of the garden. The cashier was cheerful and friendly.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, in October, when our cruise ship docked at Aloha Tower. It was an easy 20mins walk from the ship. The garden wasn’t busy which was a pleasant surprise. We spent a whole hour wandering around, saw some trees we never knew existed 😱 The flowering Cannonball tree is a strange sight. There were a wide variety of orchids on display and there were butterflies and birds too. If you sit quietly on a bench the birds will come close. I do recommend sun protection and mosquito repellent (got bitten while resting on a bench in the shade). The restrooms are clean and well maintained. We loved our visit to this lovely place.

The place is much bigger than it seems on the map. Lots of amazing plants and trees. Plenty of open places to sit and have a picnic. The admission fee was so reasonable we decided to buy a family pass. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys plants!

Beautiful garden, couldn't believe I lived so close without knowing it was there for so long. It's beautiful and quiet and you forget that you're surrounded by city and highway. Parking is super easy. Entry is five dollars. They give you a map around and let you explore. Me and my friends loved it and had so much fun, informative as well. Go and enjoy this garden!

Amazing gem in the heart of Honolulu. Very much worth the entry fee for plant lovers and others alike. Also a good stop for history lovers. Small gift shop on site. This is where you want to go if you would like a view of the corpse flower. Also has a nice butterfly garden!

Beautiful place to relax and smell the flowers -literally. Lots of beautiful and exotic orchids. Large trees and they have different sections like palm tree section, foods section - they have a cinnamon tree, macadamia tree, herbs and a buddha’s hand tree. Parking is free. Entrance fee at a discounted rate with Hawaii ID.

It's always nice to visit historical places. We've been here few times to support the garden. The weather is perfect, we just hang out and relax after our Sunday hike. Keikis are welcome. Picture taking is allowed and good to take snacks and water.

Not that many butterflies . Nice little garden but not as big and did not include as many species as I expected based on description. Parking is easy. Garden is tucked in next to a temple. Admission is $5

Finally reopened! So nice to have this garden downtown with a small fee to pay. Great assortment of local plants and flowers, and the community garden is great for the downtown community to share.

Large opened spaced botanical gardens with a wide variety of trees as the main focus. A few smaller nice features like an outdoor butterfly garden and a small conservatory. Friendly staff and well priced family outing.

Visit this place every month or two. ar. Absolutely love it. Staff are always so happy to answer questions and help in any way we need. The gardens are beautiful. The butterfly garden is so tranquil and butterflies love it. To walk through it actually restores you in some way. Less stress much happier mind. Lovely places to sit and enjoy all the plants (personally miss the wood benches but I get it). This is such a lovely oasis amongst the hussle and bustle. Lucky to have it so close.

A cute, little botanical garden in Honolulu. Lots of tree varieties and beautiful flowers. Two hours should be plenty of time to visit and see it all

This was a beautiful botanical garden and I would highly recommend it. Only $5 to enter and they had such an incredible array of tropical plants and flowers. Small enough you can spend one to two hours there and see everything. Lots to enjoy and wonderful photo opportunities as well.

Without blooming flowers (except in the conservatory) at this time of year, Foster Botanical Garden still looks appealing with a variety of tropical plants and vegetations. In some areas, you feel like being in a tropical jungle or forest; in other parts, you sense the atmosphere of an old Japanese garden.

Incredible botanical gardens with some of the most amazing tropical trees I've ever seen. In addition to the trees and plants, the plethora of butterflies and bees really brings the place to life. $5 entry fee.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars, but, unfortunately they had some of the areas roped off today, so had to remove a star. It's still totally worth checking out though. Beautiful and cool flowers and plants.

Very well maintained. Huge property so you won't run into many people except maybe in the orchid house

Well worth the 5$ admission to support this stellar botanical garden. Plenty to explore and enjoy from Hawaii and beyond! I especially loved the gargantuan trees and varieties of palm and orchids. Plant lovers must see!

Easy going pretty place to meander, listen to the birds and take in the tropical scenery. Saw families having sandwiches and couples relaxing on the benches. There's a washroom in the gardens to your left.

Only $5 to get in and it was such a beautiful place. I didn't realize you could take food and have like a little picnic in the fields. Definitely wanna do that next time. I would recommend some sort of BUG OFF spray though.

Me and my family had a pleasant experience here. We went on a sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. They give you a map upon entering. There is a small fee to get in. We only spent maybe an hour here. There were alot of interesting plants and such amazingly tall palm trees!

The Foster Botanical Garden is a beautiful oasis in the middle of downtown Honolulu. The gardens are very well-maintained and the greenery is gorgeous. The self-guided tour is perfect for a 90 minute walk through the different terraces and gardens. There are so many types of palm trees and flowers. This is a lovely complement to the nature seen at the beaches. Foster Botanical Garden is a must-see if you like nature and different types of plants.

A small but well laid out garden near the city center. Despite its size, the garden includes a surprisingly large variety of unusual plants. There is also a greenhouse conservatory with beautiful orchids, a stone Buddha, and a butterfly garden. $5 entry fee, $3 for locals.
