Came for the Christmas lights. Parking is horrible. Nice lights for the family to enjoy and take pictures. They also had a couple carnival rides. Horse wagon. And witness a marriage proposal

This is for the Honolulu City Lights at Honolulu Hale. Awesome decorations and trees. Santa and Mrs Claus were awesome. Great place to take the kids... ...especially at night! Bring the family!

Nice place for a holiday show and walk with the family. Lots of lights and some opportunities to purchase food and beverages. The crowds were not too busy for Saturday 2018 before Christmas.

Came for the city Christmas light and I am appalled by the disgusting attitude the “owners” of the people behind the the stone wall on the opposite side of the street. First of all, if they did not want people sitting on the wall, THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT UP SIGNS or the website of city hall should inform people are not to sit on specific properties. Security kept coming telling people to get off and not sit on the wall. Like it is fine telling us but one lady kind of push us off. People are just here to enjoy the Christmas lights with their family and friends too. I saw one lady telling a little girl to get off or you are not suppose to sit here. So rude.

Tonight, December 10th, 2023, I decided once again to carefully observe the extent to which the City and County embraced the real historical roots of Christmas through the ages. Christian music, the cresh, Saint Nicolas, and Christmas trees ALL have absolutely, iconic historic traditions. There was no discernable music tonight. The enduring, significant language of Christmas music was absent. Recognition of the deep Christian symbols such as the cresh was absent in the main hall. Then, almost by accident set way back from the road on the Mauka / Diamond Head side of the Honolulu City Hall back lawn shown out the blue words "Believe." I was stunned and overjoyed. I totally missed this set of Christian displays placed away back in the distance away from public view. I had missed these wonderful exhibits during the day. Now, that it was night their colorful Christian themes shone out. Personally, I was overjoyed. Yes. Thank YOU for allowing these meaningful displays. And, yet at the same time, I was deeply saddened. Here the main, central historical reason for why we celebrate symbolically and literally celebrate Christmas was pushed aside, commercialized, and literally took a secondary back seat. Therefore, my very disappointed, two star evaluation. Please don't get me wrong. The colorful "Christmas" displays and flowers in the main hallway were stunning. But, the displays in this large open room lacked historical meaning. So, I sat down on a bench, closed my eyes, in order to imagine cresh, high and lifted up above the adornments below. The large center stage imaginary cresh was of elegant Koa Wood. And, this still fresh with the Christ child morphed into one of Saint Francis of Assisi live animal replacement. And, both crashes were surrended with angelic and human voices singing "Silent Night, Holy Night," "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear," and other favorite Christmas hymns. I had to imagine it. But, for me, it took center stage and made all the difference in the world. Tonight, in my mind, I carefully, reverently turned a commercial, secular, glitzy presetation, into a truly classical Christan celebration. By deliberately fine-tune my mind, heart and soul, (and this special Christmas message to you, my reader), I enjoyed a truly wonderful, joy-filled gathering to honor the Christ child tonight. The reason(s) for my "two star rating" follows. Perhaps, in the future, Honolulu City Hall will simililarly reverently honor, but clearly identifying, and faithfully showcase the true, historical central tenants of this all-important highly extolled Christian event.

Christmas decorations/lights were minimal, but very beautiful. Someone made sure that what little there was would be very special. Understandable that large gatherings would be discouraged and nice that at least a little something was done. Thank you City & County of Honolulu.

Amazing architecture in this building. No surprise for the area as there are so many amazing buildings. During Christmas time they put up an awesome display with Shaka Santa and all his friends. Inside the building each department of the city built their own Christmas tree display, some of which are very creative. If you’re in town for the display, it’s a great place to check out, especially with young ones, and even the reluctant tween/teen.

Mango Jam was a blast! Well planned and coordinated; no chaos, very laid back. The highlight of the event was probably the activites, especially the one about coloring and making bookmarks and mangos and the live entertainment. Good venders, but I didn't see what I really came for; pickled mango. Either I didn't look hard enough, or It just wasn't here. But, the dollar mango pudding from the Mango Munchies vender made up for it.

First time visitor. Although, I seen Honolulu Hale from the outside, it was nice. The parking structure, in my opinion, wasn't well put together for directions to the voting area. This was a very important venue. Needs to be better plan for voters who never visited this structure. Especially Nov. 3, when you have last minute voters trying to make the deadline time

I came here to cast my ballot. There was ample staffing and all were very helpful and professional. They guided me through the process. It was a wonderful experience.

The building is now secured because of covid19, prior to that it was accessible. It's more less accessible but you will be able to do you business there with restrictions. Nice building , nice art work.

We voted at Honolulu City Hall (Honolulu Hale) this morning. The volunteers couldn't have been better. It was so easy, so quick, and I left with a feeling that my vote would actually be counted vs dropping it in the mail. My picture ID was checked and I had to sign my paperwork twice. I recommend Hawaii - and America - never change to all mail-in voting.
