This is highly rated as one of the best places for fresh seafood. Website says parking would be difficult, but we had no problem parking across the street. The counter person was helpful. We also got opihi. Just 6 pieces. The poke bowl i got for $11.95 was delicious. (Get it with sushi rice).

Best poke we tried in Oahu and Maui! Their spicy tuna is the best in world!! Also we tried Tahitien style ahi which is rare to find in Hawaii, and it was very good.

By far, the best poke I have had. This is not a place to sit down and order. Yet, it’s worth the drive. Walk toward the back to find your poke.

This was my last stop in Hawaii on the way to the airport (super close), and I’m so glad I made a point to come here. The poke bowl here is almost too good to be true. You can only get one type of poke with each bowl, but you can choose any type you want with no additional costs. Honestly the fact that the poke bowl here costs only $12 is simply mind blowing! On top of that, the staff serves everything with care and the aloha spirit. He let me try a piece of each of the ahi tunas so I could decide which one to get. I swear, every single one I tried was amazing, but I chose the spicy ahi tuna which was world class. The massive chunks of fresh ahi; in an amazing spicy sauce, with the sides that it comes with it is literally perfection. This was probably be one of the best bowls of poke that I’ll ever have. Sometimes poke is too salty for me, but this place actually was the perfect amount of seasoning. I saw it on a Mark Wiens video and I’m so glad I did, truly a local gem!

Authentic Japanese fish market... the best fresh daily never frozen poke! My husband and I each ordered poke bowls with sushi rice. I had ahi poke with onion and husband spicy poke. I also ordered some seaweed salad on the side. We've had lots of poke but this was one of the best during our trip in oahu. Note this is grab and go not a sit down.

Can I call this place a hidden gem or everyone knows about it already? I followed the famous Food Youtuber, Mark Wiens, here and was very satisfied. It is a local market that serves fresh poke and other pre-made dishes. Hot lunches served between 11.00-13.30 Mon to Fri. Since we were there early morning, we got to try their poke bowl of Amichili ($12.95) and a side of half a pound Spicy tuna ($10.27). Both were super delicious! The fish were smooth and buttery. I guess it is because they’ve never been frozen. The staff are nice and friendly. Limited parking available in front of the shop. No eat-in corner. Highly recommend!!

Got quarter pound of spicy ahi poke, ahi limu poke, octopus poke, opihi, and raw crab. Total of only $24. All of them were so fresh and tasty. On another level compared to the seafood in california.

Poke is on point here with many varieties to choose from. It’s just a market so you pick what you want, they weight it and you pay at the cashier in front.

Ive waited over a year to come here to try authentic poke. By far the best. My favorite was the ahi onion. So delicious. I just needed some rice to go with it. Thank you! Big thanks to YouTuber Mark Weins. Its was your recommendation.

The Poke here was absolutely delicious! The best we had on our entire trip! Found this spot through Mike Wiens on YouTube. Only downside was we had a bit of an encounter with a local. . So felt a bit uncomfortable going back for more. Employees where extremely kind and food incredible!

The quality of King salmon is getting worse and worse, picture 1 and 2 is bought today 7/1 . The following pictures are from the past. I often buy sashimi in their store. I don’t know if the clerk took the salmon from another origin by mistake, because I bought 2 pounds, and there is no whole one in the freezer. I asked him to get the whole one in it. Come out and split.

They were nice and added green onions because it looked to boring without it. They wanna charge $27.95 a lbs for this poke that taste so bad in flavor. Times is more better in flavor for a better price. This place really needs someone to taste their poke. It’s sad because this poke is good quality and flavor isn’t there!!

Out of the 5 or so places we went to for Poke in our 4 days in Honolulu, these Poke bowls were our favorite. They were fresh, delicious, and had our favorite toppings/add-ins. The spicy ahi was the perfect Poke bowl. They add taegu in there and it makes all the difference from the other bowls we had. Highly recommend getting a poke bowls from here. Come earlier because once they run out, they’re out.

YUM YUM YUMMMM. Incredibly fresh fish, warm sushi rice, gracious staff and owners. Be sure you get there before 1pm - closing time. try the pokey with crab sauce award winner in 2021! Amazing.

2 stars for atleast they had lobster. Not a fan of their sourced local fish either. It could be their un (highly self resourceful trained fish purveyors ( no how to cut da fish). Nor sell it or recommend... Dat's cuz, they want to take da good stuff home and sell you and make you pay for what they take home. Im going to go back again and try....in the next few days. I'll photograph it all. I'll never forget wanting a block of ahi...or a lobster.... No enthusiasm, no recommendations...no suggestions.... Just plain disappointing. Me ke Aloha.

Great selection of fish ranging from sashimi grade toro to whole local caught parrot fish and everything in between. I was not a fan of the poke here. The fish was fresh but the oil they used made the large strips a little slimy. The furikake is a little different from the poke I'm used to. No sesame seeds, sugar or salt. Just small strips of nori. I also tried the sailfish ginger poke which had a crunchy texture. The ginger masked any taste of the fish. Marlon poke is also available. Ask for a sample to determine which you may like. For a small market it has an impressive selection of Asian vegetables to make most Japanese, Thai and Chinese dishes. Prices are moderate and parking is available in front for free.

Best place I've been to. The prices are unmatched. You can really grind all you like for cheap. It smells and looks like what I expect a good fish market should. I'm going back as soon as possible.

Expert amateur sushi chef here; this place is the real deal. It's definitely "No frills", but the fish is some of the highest quality I've gotten anywhere in the United States. You can't go wrong and it's not even priced poorly. They've got some seriously good material here. The poke is fine, but stick to the fish itself and make your own! Be aware, the other accoutrements they sell are full of toxic additives, unsustainable junk, dyes, and bad packaging -- but the sushi fish is great! Just get that. I kinda wish they would take sanitation a little more seriously, as there is a lot of surface to surface touching and less glove wearing than I would like - but no complaints and no food poisoning. They're serving high end local restaurants and they know what they're doing. :)

Found this place driving past and seeing lots of cars trying to get into the driveway and did a search. Poke was good but more on the salty side for my liking.

If you need a fresh fish, take a number, they will help you select and clean and cut for you if you wish, and wrap in pink paper and you can put in provided plastic bags.

Came here for the poke as recommended by a good coworker who grew up on the island. My challenge was the freshness of the ahi. I got three different pokes, and 2/3 were fresh, but the third must’ve been a day or two old. I’d come back, but I’ve always had better luck at Foodland.

A MUST TRY POKE SPOT. My friends and I are visiting from Canada and tried multiple poke places on Oahu before finding out about Tamashiro Market. Consensus between the three of us was that this market has the best poke! I think we met the owner who was extremely nice and helped us pick out our poke. We even got to sample some before ordering. Would definitely come back for more!!!

Pre ordered a bunch of fish for New Years dinner. While prices were higher, the quality was amazing. If I had to do it all over again the three fish I'd order are the ootoro, salmon, and hamachi. The bluefin ahi and chutoro were okay, and I normally prefer chutoro.

Authentic, fresh, delicious poke at reasonable prices. A must visit place if you visit Honolulu. We bought different types of poke before heading to the beach and have a feast there!
