Pros: It's about a 2min walk to the beach and within walking distance of a lot of good shopping and restaurants. The pool area is nice. They offer additional activities, like lei making and ukulele lessons, at no additional cost. Cons: Rooms are very small and weren't as clean as they should have been. There were stains on both sets of sheets we received. The bedding was terrible. They don't use fitted sheets or full duvet covers, so the bedding would instantly come off and tangle up. We asked for a late checkout after staying with them for 11 days and spending a lot of money on food and laundry and they charged us. We could also only get a late checkout until 2pm without changing rooms even though they had other open rooms. Our flight didn't leave until 10pm that night, so we had to wait in the drop off area for hours with our luggage. We couldn't use the restrooms without a key card while we waited. The "partial ocean view" was not worth the additional cost. We also called the front desk multiple times over the span of two days and they never answered once.

Good value for money. One of the cheapest hotels along Waikiki beach that is part of a major hotel chain. Interior is a little dated but some decent views to be had. Rooms are on the smaller side and bathrooms are old-fashioned but everything is perfectly functional. Honored Marriott benefits like late checkout. Also used the best rate guarantee since they routinely publish lower rates at online travel agencies compared to official booking channels.

Nice hotel in walking distance from the beach and right on the strip of Waikiki. They offer lots of "resort" activities including Lei Making, Hula Lessons, Hawaiian story times, live music, and more. They do charge a resort fee daily as well. If you are a hotel guest and have a car, parking is $45 per day in the parking garage charged to your room. They have a bar/small restaurant connected to the pool that is open daily. It's a nice outdoor area, and staff are friendly. Pool opens from 7am-7pm. Rooms were good quality, and had their own AC control. However the ac units do tend to shut off at midnight and restart in morning. Location is great, it's right over the international marketplace mall. Worth staying at this hotel, just be prepared for fees.

Nice hotel. Beautiful view of ocean. Loved sitting on balcony. We didn't want to spend a lot on a hotel, as we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. Nice room. Clean. AC worked great. Free coffee in room. Comfortable bed. Spacious. Could have used a bigger refrigerator. Needed a fan in bathroom. More towel racks. But I'd stay here again!

Very friendly staff, very close to many of the tourist attractions, the beach, and the mall. We had to ask for a different room because the bath tub water didn’t drain properly and the fan was not working. The staff was very friendly and offered us a new room immediately. The second room we got smelled a bit funny when we walked in, so we opened the windows to let fresh air in. The room was not very clean, with a stain on the couch and lots of dust on and inside the dresser. Especially in times of Covid, it would have been a lot nicer if the rooms were cleaned with much more care.

this place has the most incredible access to the beach--- just out the lobby and across the street. the rooms are a little outdated but we didn't come here for the room, we came here for the beach and it's fantastic, especially for the price. staff is friendly and helpful. the resort activities like story time and yoga class and hula lessons have been so fun and I can't wait to try them all while we are here. free breakfast is very basic, not enough protein. so we order the breakfast sandwich and a continental and share it between the two of us. parking has been a bit of a fiasco because the lot has been full but they let us park at the Sheraton Waikiki instead and it's reciprocal. there is a fridge in the room which is fantastic.

We spent 4 nights at this establishment without any mishaps or concerns. Although, the hotel is a bit outdated it provided us with everything we needed while in Waikiki. It’s a safe walking distance to lots of shopping and dining areas and right across the street from the beach. The staff was all very pleasant and helpful too. When we asked for towels, they came quickly, and even tidied the place up in a snap. We had a high floor with a great view and there was hardly ever a wait for an elevator. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great place with easy access to many sights like Waikiki Beach (2 minute walk from the hotel, with traffic), the zoo (15 minute walk), Hilton's fireworks show every Friday (20 minute walk), and many more. Access to free parking on nearby streets is great as the hotel parking is costly at $45 a day. The room was excellent with outstanding views of the beach and mountains/city. The pool and other facilities are excellent, my wife and son enjoyed the pool very much. You get a towels and beach chairs as part of your stay included in you resort fee, just make sure you return them. Outstanding service by the staff, especially the cleaning crew who are not pleasant and welcoming, but did a great job everyday and making that room fresh. The only issue is not having a microwave in an accessible area, you have to go down to the basement (laundry area) to use one. Otherwise, great value for an outstanding location and service. Mahalo to all of the people working there, we will see you again soon :)

Great location and choice of food, friendly staff. Great tiki lights and walking around in the area at night. Beach is very close, resort provides towels and chairs to take to beach. You will end up paying parking and resort fees anywhere you book in this area. Do not expect cheap vacation. Visited in first week of March. Not heated pool, did not see many people in it. No hot tub.

Great hotel. We have a room. With a view of the pool. When the musicians we open our patio doors, grab a glass of wine and are thankful for how lucky we are to be in such a beautiful place. Everyone says not to spend all your time in Oahu? it is hard with everything being so convenient, beach, food, shopping, entertainment.

If you're on a budget, I do recommend staying here. The rooms are a little dated but the beds are comfy to get a good night's rest. Plus the location is excellent with nearly every shop surrounding the hotel. Our room service was also very good and with some minor issues, the staff was very helpful in addressing our concerns.

Customer service was great. And the price is pretty cheap for the 5 days we stayed. I wished the bathroom was a bit bigger, it felt a little claustrophobic. But the room service were amazing, we had clean sheets and towels everyday and if we had any issues they were resolved right away. The pool could be bigger but it did the job and the splash bar downstairs was super cute. There’s some table games to play in the lobby as well.

Can't beat the value and price at such a prime location. We really liked the performer singing at the bar. Great hotel especially for Marriott platinum members looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Room is small, and service is great for the price. Recommend for all travelers looking for great values.

Across the street from Waikiki Beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, would have like a comfy chair in it but you can bring a chair in from the lanai. Bathroom small but very clean and well maintained. Comfy bed, big TV with lots of channels. Good size Lanai, we overlooked the pool. They do have a tower wing next door if you need ocean views. Usual evening entertainment with Hawaiian dancers. Handy to all main street eateries. Pickup point for tours across the road at the Hyatt. Also across the road is the pick up point trolley tours and bus to major shopping centre Good value for money, great location and well worth a visit

Good location next to International Market with plenty of shops and restaurants. The hotel feels a bit dated with rough sliding closet door, older style shower head/wand, and wicker backed desk chair. Nice that the housekeeping staff replenished water bottles on daily basis. Fun amenity activities included as part of resort fee, but you must book ahead of time. Overall decent value for the amount paid, but there are nicer Marriott properties in Waikiki such as Waikiki Beach Marriott or The Laylow.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down. Had a great experience here and felt like a valued guest. One of the valet drivers was pretty rude but that’s about the extent of anything negative that happened during the stay. Everything was really clean and the view was excellent. There’s a little cart outside where you can buy breakfast and coffee and they have amazing croissants!

The first room had a cockroach crawling over the bed as I walked in. The front desk was nice and accommodating and moved me to a different one plus they removed some charges (which was fine since the gov paid for the room anyways - I was on a work trip). Second room has a smaller bug on the desk which I squished but I didn’t think it was worth the hassle changing rooms again after a long day of traveling. The hotel and staff were nice though.

The lobby and common areas are beautiful. The location is the best! View is lovely. The hotel room was older and hasn’t had an update in a while. The rooms were clean and spacious. The price was great and a last minute decision. I would stay here again in an instant. This is a Marriott Bonvoy property.

Sheets weren't changed. Several dirty Kleenex used all in between the sheets. Unsafe surge protectors in every room loaded with appliances definitely a fire hazard. Shower head didn't work room 301. 1970's lamps in every room. Outdated rooms. Dusty rooms. Loud sounds from behind the hotel during all daylight hours. Nonchalant guest service team when I reported issues with sheets and shower. Rooms overall appearance disgusting, dirty, trashy lookking and cheap.

The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is a lovely Old Hotel. It is located in the centre of Waikiki, close to the beach and shopping centres. The Staff are all polite and friendly. The pool is a good size and located close to the bar. We stayed in the King Room with the Pool View and Balcony. The Room is a good size, the bathroom is fine, But could do with a modern update. The only issue I could find is a lack of a restaurant and Room service.

TL;DR - Overall amazing but small and dated rooms. We stayed for 4 nights in Nov 2023 and it was our first time in Waikiki. Used points for a free room and got upgraded to an ocean view room. The rooms were clean but very small for our family of 3 - you could tell the hotel was older just by the size of the suite. Yes, they are renovating but I doubt they are making the rooms more standard sized. However, the views were great! Lobby & pool area was awesome. Good drinks and food at the pool bar. We also took advantage of the free lei making which my daughter (10yo) loved. Beach chairs available from the pool desk as well which was an awesome perk. You couldn’t beat the location - right in the middle of everything. Beach is a 5 min walk or less away and tons to see and do right nearby. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel is fine. We stayed for 12 nights. It is located across the street from Waikiki Beach. The rooms are fine and although ours was small, we weren't staying in the room all the time. We could move the 2 double beds far enough apart to have a twin blow up mattress for a 3rd person. The housekeeping staff were kind and always attentive (we asked for towels, coffee, and water). If you're staying for a while bring hair care products. They dole them out in teeny bottles and it will likely not be enough.

We had a free night certificate available and we decided to use it for our trip to Oahu. With the voucher, we were able to use a few thousand points on top of the redemption amount to get a standard room. Upon check in, they upgraded us to a city view room. We were actually able to check in about 3 hours early, so I was very thankful for that. The room was clean, but incredibly dated. I think I saw a sign stating that they're going to start refurbishing the rooms, so maybe the next time I'm in town, there will be newer rooms? The Sheraton Princess is very centrally located. There is the international Marketplace right next door and the Royal Hawaiian Center just a few blocks down. It’s a block away from the beach, so you can walk over in less than 5 minutes. There are water stations on each floor for you to fill your water bottles. Everyone we encountered was super nice. Overall, since we didn't pay for the room, it was a good choice. But I do think there are better choices in the area for the same price.

The location at Sheraton Princess is great! It's very close to many shopping and convenience centers, and is quite literally a two minute walk from the beach. The service was great - we came in as a large group, and they were able to accommodate us with connecting rooms, which we really appreciated. However, we were short a couple towels a couple of times (which was solved with a quick call), and our room was not serviced once (which we had to call to resolve). Overall, the housekeeping was very friendly and always provided us with extras when we needed it, and all the staff we interacted with were all very friendly. The rooms themselves were decent, but there were some dirty parts in the room, and some parts of the bathroom looked like they needed to be serviced (for example, the shower drain was a little flimsy). The room felt a little small, and the beds were not the most comfy. Overall, we had a great stay! For the price, this place was definitely value!

Excellent location in Waikiki. Smack dab in the center of all the fun spots and shops. Hotel personnel were very welcoming and helpful. The parking facility and service is very critical for the location. Beach and pool towel service is very useful, especially with Waikiki Beach very close by and a hotel pool right near the entrance. The building and facilities are starting to show their age but not to point of causing any major inconvenience, the hotel is aging gracefully. The family and I enjoyed our stay here very much.

It's good, not great. Rooms are old and a little musty, but the location is excellent as it is across the street from the beach. Parking is expensive ($45 a day), but could be on par for the location. Resort fee is pricey as well at $38 a day, but the fitness center and pool are nice and they offer classes and stuff. If the extra add on costs were not so high, I'd rate it a 4. I will likely look for other hotels next time

The team here are all really friendly and I would highly recommend this as a suitable location to stay when in Waikiki. The hotel itself seems to be a little bit dated however based on the price it is a great location to access downtown and the reminder of the surrounding locations. We had a city view room however we could see the beach between the two buildings across the road and it was a short walk to the beach. Definitely check out the splash bar while you’re there, and make the most of the classes that the venue offers as well. If possible I would probably recommend requesting a room as high up as possible as the noise from street level can be quite loud. I just wanted to thank the team for their hospitality during our recent stay!

I will tell you some thing that travel agents don't want u to know about. When reserving stays use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ They've got the best deals on rooms! Much better than using expedia, tripadvisor, agoda. Take my word for it!!! Incredibly friendly staff, especially given the crazy circumstances during the pandemic, but Henry at the front desk went above and beyond to take care of my girlfriend and I on fairly short notice, and won't forget that. Thank you fo rhte amazing time!

Check in was painless, rooms were nothing special but they were clean and nice. Staff was friendly. Location was great; super close to everything. The biggest con was the parking; if you park after 9pm be prepared to park in another lot ( it’s inconvenient but they waive that parking fee plus the one for the hotel so you get free parking for the day) we had to do that 4/7 nights we were there. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is absolutely amazing- so close to restaurants, the beach, and shops. Parking was convenient, and most of all the staff was very courteous and kind. Every staff person I interacted with was super friendly- the front desk receptionists, the housekeepers, the bartenders, the pool attendants, the bellhops. Everyone was smiling and greeted us with a warm and friendly aloha. The hotel is well kept, and the pool was great. Our room was always tidy, bed was comfortable, and had an amazing view. My only minor complaint is the walls are not sound proofed, and we could often hear our neighbors. In the grand scheme of the value, location, and service of this hotel, this felt like a minor detail. We absolutely cannot wait to return!!

  • 3/5 Brent C. 2 years ago on Google
Resort is nice enough. Location is fantastic. Our room was right next to the elevator. Maybe that is normal when it is part of a travel package.

  • 3/5 Georges M. 2 years ago on Google
They did an excellent job of renovating the rooms/decor... in 1990! Too bad that was the last time it seems to have gotten a facelift. The whole place is a little the worse for wear. The rooms are Waikiki small. On a more positive note, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and our room had great view of Waikiki beach.

The hotel experience wasn't bad, but definitely felt like for the category it was placed under, there could have been better quality. Good: - There was a nice pool outside that is well maintained and has a fun atmosphere. - There is an exercise zone that is well equipped with Dumbells and treadmills. - The view was amazing! - Good location downtown and right next to the beach so you are near all the best restaurants and shops. - Nice enough to keep me in contact with Taxi when I left something in their car. Needs Improvement: - The wall and painting looked a little crude, especially in the hall ways. Felt more like a regular hotel than a resort. - Parking garage closes at a certain point, so we were required to go to another location to park and walk over. It wasn't bad because they reimbursed the ticket, but definitely made it more of a hassle. - Key cards weren't working every other time. Overall was not a horrible stay, but could definitely do better considering the full cost price for some.
