My time here was spectacular. The location was fantastic with it being steps from incredible restaurants, shopping and the beach! The staff was so attentive and took incredible care of me. I can tell the building is old while it looks like they do their best in taking care of the “bones” of the structure. There is no view but the lobby and decor is beautiful, fun and full of personality. Would most definitely stay here again

Bring earplugs if you stay here!! On Friday and Saturday night, a club across the street blasts dance music until 1am. The noise insulation in the rooms is bad so the noise was incredibly intrusive. Plus if you’re by the elevators you will hear them all day and night. Staff did not have earplugs for the noise and didn’t warn us, otherwise we would have happily prepared by picking some up. In addition, be prepared for the additional $40 daily amenity fee. It covers beach towels, coffee in the morning (which ran out by 8am most mornings), a few snacks on arrival (which we couldn’t eat half of because of allergens), the tiny pool, etc., but we didn’t have a proper water station until half way through our stay and were not offered a Dole Whip sample upon arrival. Plus the restaurant where you get a daily $5 credit did not seem happy with us trying to use it for small takeaway items, despite their food being pretty expensive. It would be so much better if the hotel just absorbed this in the price of the room, or offered this additionally if you wanted to pay for it. The rooms are tired but were clean on arrival. AC worked fine and walking distance to all the touristy bits of Waikiki is good. The mini fridge worked for us but the freezer wouldn’t have kept much frozen. Another con is that no fresh bedsheets were offered during our week-long stay. Overall the experience with the noise really drove my rating down. It’s not hard to warn guests or just have some ear plugs to hand.

Look, hotels are plenty in Waikiki. What truly set this one apart for us is 3 things. Staff, location and little extras. The staff was Uber friendly and helpful in all of our interactions. Galen, who checked us in, was a big part of setting a positive tone for our trip with his Welcome and guidance. The location, while not necessarily having a view, is incredibly convenient as you have everything you could possibly need within 1-2 blocks if not on the same street. Lastly, little extras such as the attention that went into decoration of the lobby, floor, elevators and room themselves is cool and full of personality. The Soda Stream machine is extremely convenient and save us a ton of money. The morning coffee is a drug of its own :P. There is also a ton of beach accessories that were donated by previous guest and are available to be borrowed. To balance this feedback, the rooms themselves are a bit small but was exactly what we needed to use as a base of operation to go on Oahu adventures or to have beach days (beach is a block away) We were charmed and wish we will be able to stay there again.

The hotel was cute. It was a little out of date but it worked. The lobby is nice and colorful. You cannot beat the location for the price. The hotel staff was nice. The only reason why I give 4/5 and not 5/5 is because the rooms had carpet and it seems like water soaked in the carpets because the room smelled awful when you got near the carpet. It smelled like mildew and dirty socks......I feel like tropical vacation hotels should have tile or wood so its easy to dry.

Check in process was smooth, however finding the parking entrance was a bit hidden. I had to circle around the block to figure it out but afterwards it was great. The staff here was super friendly and my room was very clean. Location wise, its right across from a ROSS and around the block from the Japanese Food Hall and two blocks away from the international market places as well as the well known restaurants. I absolutely adore the free water filter system they have at the lobby. Hands down one of the better things about the hotel and I was able to save a bit from buy water. Overall I would stay here again, prices were very much on par. It was also sweet where they have daily treats for the guest. I was able to grab a little bag of popcorn in route to walking around town.

They demand to take an additional $100 out of your checking account and won't give you access to it until 2 weeks later when your vacation is over. Not a hold, but they literally take your money AND charge you for the room. They don't allow you to pay the deposit in cash either. I liked the room and planned to return again at the end of my trip but that meant that they were going to be holding $200 of my budget for my month-long trip in Honolulu like who has an extra $200 left over after a month in Honolulu? Not this full-time student. Just rude and inconsiderate. They really made me think they cared about my comfort but who could be comfortable having $200 taken from them while they are 4,000 miles away from their home and alone on an island? I was really excited about coming back there too. What a disappointment.

Definitely worth staying again. Walked right across the street to sign up for a tour, then walked next door and shopped a huge marketplace of gifts to take home, then walked just a few feet further down the road where there was both a mall and a convenient store. Back at the hotel, we decided we wanted a frappe and ventured the opposite direction as McDonald's was just a 2 minute walk away. Note: For those who struggle with mobility, there are stairs you have to take to get into the hotel (about 8 shallow steps). Not sure if they are handicap accessible through their parking garage. Room decorations were interesting, and vary significantly from room to room. If you are staying with someone with sensory issues you might want to avoid the 8the floor that is a bold red (see photos), and ask for a room that is not red. They have plenty of colors and can accommodate you. Pool on the roof is small but nice with a good view. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and the prices are on point.

Excellent service. Rooms are small but cozy. Small fridge but no microwave in room. Valet parking only which is 45 per day. The gentlemen at the valet are awesome and will have your car ready very quickly. Hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to shopping, beach and restaurants, no more than maybe a 5 min walk to the beach. Rooftop pool is cool and well maintained.

If you don’t want to be surrounded by rowdy families this is the place for you! The vibe is so chill, relaxing and perfect. Staff are amazing, accommodating and great to work with. The lobby area is the perfect mood! The room was clean and housekeeping left my room spotless. It’s close to the beach- about three blocks and located in the heart of Waikiki. Honestly a great stay!

Great location, very central to go shopping and a quick walk away from the beach. Nice to have free coffee in the morning. We were given $5 for the connecting cafe called Heavenly Island which does great breakfast! The staff were medium helpful. There was a power outage when we arrived

Shoreline hotel is affordable and lovely hotel. They have a clean and cozy room. People are nice and they also have free morning coffee at lobby. I really enjoyed it and also have Dole ice cream machine so you can buy some Dole pineapple ice cream at lobby. I got a sample ice cream when i got there and it was so delicious! You really should try if you like pineapple. They are connected to a famous restaurant called ‘Heavenly island lifestyle’ so it’s easy to access but I recommend to make a reservation especially if you want breakfast. They have a really good food so I really recommend you to try. There’s a popular Musubi place right next to the hotel and it’s so tasty and cheap. I really recommend this place too. Everything is close from the hotel and easy to get there by walk and of course Waikiki beach is really close too. It was a nice experience! 😊

A great value for your money. Room was quiet, you only hear people on the floor, not ypur neighbours. Very close to Restaurants, Shopping and Beach by foot. We stayed on the 9th floor. Pool is little but enough. Water with flavour and Ice (24h) beside the reception and Coffee till 10am is free of charge, which was so great. Got a 5 dollar voucher for the Hotel Restaurant for every day, but didn't use it. Next time.

Within walking distance from a lot of restaurants, shopping and the beach, the hotel is located right in the heart of Waikiki. Because of its proximity, there was some noise experienced at night. However, the noise did not affect my sleep much. There is free coffee in the morning and a free water dispenser located at the lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The room was a little tired and small, but it was still clean, acceptable and value for money. For convenience, there is an ABC shop and Ross for Less located right across the street. Will recommend this little hotel for budget travellers who want their accommodation to be fuss-free, clean and conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki.

Recently stayed here few weeks ago and I would definitely recommend it! Very nice clean, colorful lobby and rooms with comfortable bed and the AC to our room works well. Some of the nights it can be noisy at night from the vehicles but it is expected since it is in the heart of Waikiki. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay especially its affordable compared to other hotels and the close proximity to the beach, malls and restaurants are the advantages. Definitely going to stay here again! Heavenly Island Lifestyle resto that is connected to the hotel is a must try! The hotel give 5 dollar coupons everyday of your stay.

This hotel is in a great location near the Royal Hawaiian Center and a couple good food halls. Everything is right outside your door including the bus stop. The rooms are small and TVs even smaller but it's a good place if you just need a place to sleep and shower. Only negatives are the bathrooms don't have fans so it gets really humid and the balcony only looks out on to the tops of other buildings and a building that looks like it should be condemned. But it was a good home base for our Waikiki adventures.

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights here and it was definitely a great stay! The staff were all super friendly and the place was very clean. Rooms are a bit small but if you’re spending most of your time out, it’s perfect! Plus prices were awesome! Definitely would stay here again!

The rooms were smaller than expected, I think it was just the angle of the pictures that were online that would lead me to think they were bigger, we were in Hawaii for 2 weeks getting married, so once we came in with 4 large suitcases it was extremely cramped. It was still a nice room though, the smaller fridge made things a little more trying, but we managed! Our view from our patio was less than spectacular, but we literally only looked out the window to see what the view was, so it was NOTHING that effected our stay! The valet guys were amazing!

Great location, friendly staff. I was really happy with the aesthetic of the hotel, however upon check-in the bill from the hotel was confusing. I was charged a $15 per day amenity fee twice (they could not tell me why that happened and probably would not if I hadn’t inquired twice about it) and was told I would be getting a complimentary upgrade for our room only to find out that they charged us for that as well and said that I had upgraded us to a king online when I did not nor did I ever receive a confirmation of any changes made. I was told I would get a receipt and the concierge seemed off put by my inquiring of the charges. I never did receive that receipt and still not sure what I was entirely charged for as the concierge said they would help me understand and never fully explained it. So it kind of made the experience a bit of a damper being charged way more than what was expected without any explanation.

Had a really good stay at the shoreline hotel in Waikiki! It’s for sure an older hotel but they have done a very good job at maintaining the building and keeping everyone top notch! Lobby is a vibe and the roof top pool was awesome. The standard room is very small but there is a small patio on all the rooms and makes it feel bigger and airy. It does the job when you’re so close to the beach and everything else you need for a decent price compared to surrounding hotels and AirBnb prices. Would for sure return on a future stay in Waikiki!

Had to do a sudden trip to Hawaii to visit a family member. Found shoreline two days before and was able to book easily for a good value. The hotel and room were nice and clean. We love that they have an updated AC unit that ran so quietly as compared to other hotels in Waikiki with loud and outdated AC. We were excited about our stay until night time came around. I’m a light sleeper and was unable to sleep throughout the night. We were placed directly in front of the elevator and heard the elevator door open and close all night. I could also hear the elevator moving. We thought to move rooms but the door/wall facing the hallway was just too thin. We heard other doors open and close throughout the night as well. I was not able to sleep well the 4 nights we stayed there. My husband, who was a heavier sleeper, had it easier and had no problem with the noise. Another thing is the first night, we asked for an extra pillow case and they told us it would be on the way. We didn’t hear from them for over two hours. I tried calling the front desk multiple times but was unable to connect with them. The next night I asked for an extra pillow (their pillows are not comfortable. My neck hurt sleeping on them). They told me it would come right away. I stood by the door looking out waiting for the room service person and saw him knocked on the room next door with my pillow! How could room service not know what room is what! I gave them the correct room number and everything. It was very strange. Unfortunately we would not be coming back due to my issue with sleeping at night. If you’re a heavier sleeper, I think this is a great value for the room that you get.

Recently stayed here on a last minute visit to Oahu, price was reasonable enough so was unsure was to expect! I was blown away, this is not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3? But they do it well. Lobby is cute, and modern. Rooms remind me of hotels in Asia and Europe where you need to keep the key in for AC to be on. The room comes with complimentary snacks on arrival and you have all the basic needs in the room. They pushed the pool which I wouldn’t call it a pool but you’re in Waikiki and walking distance to the beach so the “pool” is just a bonus. I didn’t try the restaurant but you do receive a $5 credit as well. I will definitely be coming back here when I’m in Waikiki for nightlife.

This is a very old hotel so don't expect luxurious accommodations. The rooms are smaller then they appear on the website. The beds can use new mattress. You'll roll into the middle. The valet folks are awesome and always on point.

I stayed here in April/2023 for my trip to Hawaii and I was glad I chose this hotel. The location was excellent just a short walk from the beach and all the shops. The Hotel staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this location especially for the price. They also have a rooftop pool which was a very nice area.

The Shoreline Hotel is a great location with a consistent friendly vibe. They keep on doing small things to make it better, including a very small and nice seating area on the roof near the pool. We treated ourselves to a suite which was 475 square feet with a large sofa and a walk in closet. We loved the space with a comfortable platform bed. There are 2 small lanais attached to this room which are not for the faint of heart. We were greeted with a happy anniversary bottle of wine upon check in, and then the next day we were surprised with another bottle in the room with 2 champagne glasses and a beautifully written personalized card! Such a kind gesture! The staff consistently greets anyone walking into the lobby. This type of customer acknowledgement seems rare these days and is very appreciated. The employees had a pumpkin carving contest in the lobby on Oct 30. It was fun to see them having a good time. The restaurant attached to hotel “Heavenly” is wonderful. Fresh ingredients and super service. We took advantage of the daily $5.00 off coupon and ended up choosing Heavenly for our anniversary dinner after researching 10 other places. We will be back and book the suite room. Enough space for 2 complimentary yoga mats on the floor! A great stay !

This was a perfectly pleasant hotel. The room was normal. The staff were all very nice but for some reason every time we went out we had to get the keys reprogrammed to get back in our room. The valet was extremely convenient and friendly as well

Jeff is the man!! Best guy to know on the island. I had a unusual/difficult experience at the hotel the first time I came to stay here, but maybe the front desk girl was having a bad day that night. I reached out to a buddy of mine and low and behold Jeff was the new General Manager at this location. I explained the situation that happen that night of my old stay and Jeff said he would handle it. Jeff got me a nice room and set me up with all my dates for my trip this past weekend. It was a amazing experience! The staff (including the front desk girl) were awesome this time around. Shout out to the Valet/front manager guy Damian. He is a good dude and very helpful. The hotel is clean, and in a great location in downtown. Super nice staff. They helped a lot. They even clean the room everyday without having to ask. Front desk brings you stuff in lightning speed. Valet is convenient and you come and go for a flat fee all day and night. Hard to find in Hawaii. I live in Vegas and will be coming back and forth a lot and will ALWAYS stay here. Thanks Jeff and the crew you guys rock! Mahalo!

This is an amazing hotel. The location, the price and the staff are amazing! They go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Two blocks from the Waikiki Beach. Rooms are a little small but that could be to age of the hotel, which is kept up very nicely!! Highly recommend it! I would look forward to going back!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a week for our honeymoon. The pictures online is what drew me in to book this amazing hotel. Very good rates for such a good location. The staff were very very helpful and nice, and so were the valet guys. And housekeeping was spectacular we always came back to a clean and tidied up room, and if we had any special requests they were fulfilled. If we had any questions or concerns they answered them happily. the check in & out process was pretty quick too. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Make sure you grab the yummy Kona coffee in the morning :)

The rooms are cozy and the service is good. The staffs are pretty friendly and help out with any request you have. Shoreline is located just a block from all the hubbub but half the price of the hotels on the beach. Its a great option if you are not looking to wake up to the view of the ocean.

Great location- easy to walk all over Waikiki. Welcoming staff that made us feel comfortable. We have stayed at multiple hotels on Oahu and this is the first one that the blackout curtains kept the room dark enough to sleep after sunrise. The 5 pillows and comfortable bed helped with sleep as well. We will stay there again

Nice centralized location. Employees are friendly and helpful. Hotel decoration is very nice and modern. Hotel obviously shows its age as many high rises around Waikiki are older. The restroom/shower seem outdated and could sure use an upgrade. Overall budget friendly and would stay here again.

Shoreline Hotel: Service with real Aloha! Today, while searching for a particular restaurant I pulled into a restricted lot. (Thought I was in the right one. ) The lot manager walked to my car as I was getting out and asked if he could help me? I told him where I thought I was and that if I was wrong then I was completely lost. (I thought I was being funny.) He said he thought I was more than a mile from where I wanted to be, but he would check with the front desk clerk to be sure. (Turns out there are 3 of these restaurants on Oahu, we were both wrong.) The front desk clerk came out to the parking lot, guided us through the lobby and out the front door of the Shoreline Hotel. She let us know we were less than a block from our restaurant. From the sidewalk she pointed out the building we wanted and gave great directions to get us to the restaurant on the third floor of that building. GREAT! I'll go move the car. The lot manager was concerned about our reservation time and said if we wanted to walk from there, the parking would be on him. If the Shoreline Hotel staff give this kind of service to a non-guest imagine how they treat the guests who stay there! Our next staycation will be at the Shoreline Hotel!

Super cool place love all the art. Pretty decent price for right by the strip where all the main businesses are. Nice balcony view but small room. Didn't know we had to pay for parking every night until when we had to leave they told us that parking would be charge to the credit card. Would've liked to known before hand.

The hotel was so colorful and added a great Hawaiian vibe to it. The coffee is wonderful and they have dole whip in the lobby! The staff are the real reason I’m writing this review. They truly made our week long stay so welcoming. Every single one of them were so friendly and it felt like we were friends when we left. They were sad to see us leave. All of them treated us with such hospitality and grace. Including the valet crew, maids, everyone. Would definitely stay here again just to see these wonderful people!!

Positive review I had a great time. The staff are friendly and sweet. Remember to put the paper card on the door for room Service. I had room service and everything was clean, new towels and bedsheets. The hotel is 2 minutes of all the shopping store, food and beach. The only thing I had a small problem is the AC isn’t strong. Wish it was cold. Overall I would definitely come back.

Good to use as a base. One block from the high rent district and extremally convenient to the main Waikiki drive / beach. Room's very 70s ( my estimation). Hallways are brightly colored Hawaiian. Staff pretty near perfect. Restaurant downstairs intimate and has outdoor seating. Plethora of restaurants in easy walking distance, many choices. Enjoyed our stay. Really too much to see and do in 4 days. Don't try going with the commuting traffic during rush hours. 7 lanes turn into parking lots at ramps and when they neck down to two. Lots of one-way streets and turning lane only(s) will sneak up on you 😱 Keep you google map directions on 👀

Stayed for a week and also added an extra day. Had a great time here, great price for convenient location. Lobby has a cute design. Staff was very nice. Amenities include access to a pool. There is also a decent restaurant that it is connected to. We received a $5 voucher to try it during our stay. Overall, awesome place to stay.

Awesome deal on Cyber Monday that I couldn’t pass! The hotel was great and it was very convenient to walk around and explore Waikiki from there! Very kind staff, the rooms were great, the bathrooms were too! We got some free snacks and coupons to local food spots! The front steps were very slippery when it rained, but besides that, everything was perfect! I’d definitely recommend Shoreline and would stay here again!

I had a nice stay at this colorful hotel. My Queen bed room was a bit on the smaller side but fine for one or two people. Bathroom was nice, probably renovated somewhat recently. Loved the "rain" shower head. AC in the room did not cool the room much. Balcony could use refreshing. Staff were all really helpful and nice. Rooftop pool is kinda small but with nice ocean views. Location was great, close to restaurants and shopping. 2 min walk to The Bus stop which can take you quickly to Ala Moana and other transfer points. Hallways are painted really dark and kinda gloomy so that could be brightened up. Rates were very affordable. I will definitely stay again.

We had some problems with Covid tests and Josh help was instrumental, the staff is super friendly and helpful! It was the best part definitely. We were also upgraded! The room was nice and clean. We didn't had time to enjoy the pool. If coming back will repeat. Thank you again Josh!

Our stay here was amazing and I'd be quick to recommend it to others. Location-wise, you can't beat it, and when we booked, it was extremely well priced relative to other options. We were hesitant to book here as from the photos, the hotel could have been tacky - it was actually the total opposite. The interior decor was extremely well done and had a modern, vibrant, youthful feel to it. The staff was all extremely friendly, with check-in/out being a breeze. There were some nice friendly touches, like a free Dole Pineapple sample at check-in, plus two free, good-quality coffee options in the morning.

So colorful. I love that they keep infused water in the lobby all day. Staff super friendly. Room small and quaint. Near the strip. Easy access to shopping. The best chicken curry right next door. Beach about 5-10 minute walk away from hotel. Off street parking available at around $35-$45 per day.

My husband and I adored our stay at Shoreline Hotel. The front desk staff, valet, and housekeeping were all phenomenal and the customer service overall was the best we've encountered at a hotel. As for the hotel, it was in very centrally located and perfect to walk to the beach or around the city. There were a ton of cute touches that made the hotel feel very chic and modern and our room had a beautiful view of the water. Each time we came back to the hotel the valet crew was super quick and very kind and our room was always neat and tidy! We highly recommend the mac nut coffee that's in the lobby every morning, so yummy! We would choose Shoreline and the Shoreline team 1000 times over when booking another trip to O'ahu.

Such a cute hotel! Staff was wonderful. We loved the location. Room stayed cool, ac worked great. Yes it's a small room but it's perfect for a couple on a budget. Very cute decor. The whole hotel is basically an Instagram backdrop. The valet was fantastic! We loved the water pouches, in room surprise snacks, and infused water. The restaurant next door was also delicious. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will be back!

This hotel was reasonably priced. It is a bit of an older hotel IMO, you can tell things have been repaired a few times and painted over a few times but it was clean, comfortable and the staff was super friendly. Coffee available in the morning. A great restaurant next door. A water station available in the lobby at all times. Every employee was so nice and accommodating. It is one block from the main strip in Waikiki and the location was remarkable. You have to valet but that seems to be the case everywhere in Waikiki. It’s a nice, simple hotel with a rooftop pool. If you are just looking for somewhere to stay with no frills I would highly recommend. If you are expecting a resort, you may want to look elsewhere. For the location and price, this is an excellent place to stay.
