Rooms aging and decaying (they just "renovated!") Obscene parking fees (no excuse to charge guests who stay overnight parking, let alone $70 per night, I don't care what's your excuse) excessive and rising annual dues with nothing to show for it, and endless added and abusive Hawaii room taxes without logic or basis. This property and this state think they are above basic economics.

Seamless check in, pleasant front desk and concierge that are very helpful. They send a text upon arrival and you can reach out with any needs and the response is quick. Clean room with great air conditioning. For a 5 night stay, we had housekeeping once in the middle of our stay. Kitchen pots, pans available not in abundance but does the job. Washer dryer in the room is very convenient. It's a very busy resort, great for families with a lot to do. There is a lagoon, beach and several pools. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for a fee on the beach. Very tough to get a pool lounge chair unless you arrive early morning or we had luck in the late afternoon as well. Food and drinks on the resort is expensive. However, there are a lot of other places to go eat that are much more cost effective and within close proximity. Our favorite was Nico's pier 38 and Duke's. Dukes has a great buffet. There are several places to shop for food, we chose target. Also, lots of abc stores. I read previous reviews that the abc store souvenirs are expensive but it wasn't too bad. However, we chose to go to the aloha swap meet which was fantastic! Lots of Ubers and lyfts and even private drivers should you want one. However, if traveling to the north shore or a bit further I would recommend renting a car. Parking at the resort is pricey though. We used aloha sunshine tours for the Honolulu city tour and pearl harbor. Opted to attend Chief luau and it was a 10/10!

Wallet parking was not an option. Reaching parking needs a 15 min walk. The cost of self-parking was ~$50/ day. The cleaning cost was $40/day. These costs add up really quickly. The washer was stuck 2 times during our stay. The queue for the lift was also on daily basis. The restaurants were always full with a lot of lines of waiting. Only one coffee shop, be ready to wait for 1hr on-peak hours.

We traveled here with my husband and my kids about 3 weeks ago and sorry didn't have time to leave a review. I would like to commend Tim Rafael (sorry if that was his last name but he works at the front desk). He is very friendly and helpful. He handled our check in so smoothly and went above and beyond his job to help me and my family during our stay— like everything. The company should be thankful for having him and we sill surely come back because of him. Will recommend this to my friends and family as well. Again, thank you Tim. Stay safe!

I just recently stayed at this resort for two nights and I absolutely loved it! A few sections of the pool were closed and under construction but fortunately its a very large property and there were many other areas to swim and explore. The food was incredible and the grounds were beautifully kept. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them. Overall I had a great stay and I would highly recommend it. I will be back!

We had a wonderful week stay at the Grand Waikikian. The check in and check out was quick and efficient. The rooms are nice and are equipped with a kitchen and a washer/dryer in the unit. The customer service was excellent from the valet to the front desk. The pools are nice but you do have to go early to get chairs they fill up quickly. The resort is big it takes awhile to get use to where everything is. The tapas bar has live music and the bands are great. It is crowded but we never had issues getting an elevator to our room. We are looking forward to coming back here again.

The property is gorgeous and has everything a family needs for vacation. We visited the pool area that had slides for the kids and the lagoon was perfect to introduce the kids to snorkeling, paddle boarding and swimming without worrying about waves. There is restaurants with different types of foods that can accommodate any taste or craving. The room was spacious and clean. The balcony offered both a view of the city and also the beach and lagoon area. The firework show on Fridays was amazing and exciting for the kids. I will continue to visit the Hilton every time I visit Hawaii.

As a club owner , nice to experience different Hilton property. We stayed in one bedroom with pull up bed . All amenities are there, you can cook , washed your clothes. Although the washing machines takes time to wash. The location is walkable to places. Staff are friendly. We enjoyed watching the firework in the lagoon area after a day of doing different activities.

Nice, spacious modern apartment-style suites with four kitchens and washer/dryer. Access to all the amenities in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, including the multiple pools. Check-in can be a total cluster - they need to work on making this more efficient, although all the staff are no doubt trying their best. Elevators are horrendously slow. Parking is a bit of a rip-off too, but otherwise the place is good and obviously very conveniently located.

Wonderful staff members; The staff are very approachable, quick and caring. The kitchen we had in our room was wonderful to use and all our appliances worked from the laundry machines to the dishwasher and the microwave. The bathroom was great and the bathtub was appealing. The beds were very comfortable, and the view from the balcony looking out into the street was an unexpected gift. There are no lights in the balcony but you'll figure it out—we most certainly did.

I am so very disappointed. First off we spent 2 and a half hours trying to be talked into buying a room with them. In return we were to get Luau tickets. When we said we weren’t interested the tone of attitudes changed. The Luau was moved inside without notice and so we changed our minds and they offered us half of what the tickets were worth as a credit. We checked out on the 4th with a “0” balance on our receipt. On the 6th were were charged over $200 and so far no one can tell me why. If you are looking to get a straight answer on something it won’t happen. You are thrown around to 20 different people. No one knows how to do “customer service” we will visit Hawaii again just never this resort. I am fighting this as I have the receipt that stated a $0 balance. Absolutely the worst Resort experience.

Awesome accommodations. Hardwood floors. 2 roomy bedrooms. Large living are with a small dining are and a more than adequate kitchen Can see the ocean from all the rooms. 2 private balconies. . Washer and dryer

Convenient location, easy walk to anywhere. Staff was great. Grounds are well kept. Views of the ocean are beautiful. Only real complaints, do not use the washer dryer unit it is absolutely horrible. And maybe someone could figure out full size fitted seats do not fit queen beds! Makes for a very uncomfortable sleep. And yes both rooms beds had these ill fitting way too small of sheets.

Oh man I had to run to leave a review. I purchased a birthday getaway for my mother and we were both blown away by the service of this hotel. The staff went above and beyond! Everyday, if you choose, your suite is fully serviced and cleaned. And when I say cleaned I mean that! Down to our phone cords beginning neatly tied and loose items gently tucked away and organized. This is my first resort style hotel, but they offered everything anyone could ask for in a home away from home. The location is in walking distance to many shops and restaurants and getting and Uber/Lyft is extremely easy. It is also a short walk to the beach and the hotel provide vouchers for beach towels for free. Check-in and check-out went smoothly and they offer to hold your luggage before check-in or after check-out while you wait for your flight. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone for a stay and we are hoping to return in the near future!

We had a wonderful 9 day stay here and it was amazing. We had great views from our room and within walking distance to the beach, the lagoon and so many stores. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment!

Just checked out after staying here for 7 days. It was great to have a full kitchen, two bathrooms and the room was huge a lot of wasted space with the huge hallway but it was a great stay. My most favorite thing was having a washer and dryer. I used it at least once a day. It was so great being able to wash our beach towels at the end of everyday. Not a ton of cooking utensils… definitely couldn’t cook a 5 course meal but enough to get by for small jobs. The Hilton Hawaiian village is absolutely massive was packed with people and cars. Parking is absolutely atrocious at $57 a day but nice location for in and out. The pool nearest us with the water slide was cool but once we ventured farther we found the big pool right off Waikiki beach.. that was the spot. They had tables next to the pool with servers. Good drinks and good poolside food, reasonably priced. If you are here on Friday night you have to make your way there once the sun goes down for fantastic fireworks. Overall great stay!

Beautiful location, prime spot. Hotel is maintained the best it can be. Rooms are comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom suite . In the bedroom we had, 2full beds and a spa tub. The living room has a pull out bed and connected to the kitchen, of course. We had the ocean view… just Breath taking, so beautiful. Steps away.. Food, ice cream parlors, shopping, a lagoon, Sunday beach church service, activities and a beautiful ocean. Everything at your finger tips. We would stay her here again, in a heart beat.

We were quite upset with the room we got. We are owners at the Grand Waikikian and we were told that owners get priority in that type of room that they choose. Upon checking in we noticed the sink was broken, mold coming out of it. The ceiling had cracks that needed to be fixed. The room looked quite run down and being owners thats the last thing we want to see. The front desk lady who checked us in was super rude and condescending and telling us everyone is an owner when we asked her to see what room we should get without fully understanding that we own at the Grand Waikikian. We are quite disappointed and have to think twice before we make any more upgrades.

The two-bedroom suite was comfortable -- we love the balcony and full kitchen and there was plenty of room for family game night. Bonus: The third-floor workspace, where I could get stuff done, charge my devices and soak in the hot tub while the kids splashed in the pool!

In response to me mentioning my daughter’s autism, the salesman decided I needed to hear his uneducated opinion on how vaccines caused my daughter’s disability. If you have a special needs child stay far away. Management won’t do anything to compensate us after the hateful comments made to me about my 3 year old. Didn’t realize the guys selling timeshares for a living had their medical degrees! A bunch of hateful, disgusting people running this place. Stay far away!! We will stay at the Marriott next time

Do you all ready need me to tell you how great it was here🤔🤨.. Beware though, as we all know the Islands food prices were more then anything else (except parking, lol) That was expected though. The people were all nice and we just had an overall GREAT😃 TIME!!? I would recommend this place to everyone, just have a good food per diem ready!! When we went into town The Hawaiian people and other locals were even more awesome, friendly, conversated with us and taught us Local history not in any of our books. I had a blast Hawaii and Grand Waikiki! Thank you ALL!!!

Hilton Grand Vacations did a great job getting everything ready for my 2 week stay in Hawaii. I was introduced to an ambassador, Meg DeReign who was very friendly, intelligent, and prompt with providing all information. She was able to provide my group an itinerary of fun and local expeditions. Meg had the best suggestion for beaches and spots to snorkel, as well as the pallette of a Master chef when it came to food suggestions. Every suggestion made from our host was definitely worth the time. Not one place disappointed. So, that set our trip apart. Being provided the knowledge and materials, as well as a great place to stay up front was game changing. Thanks Hilton and Thanks Meg!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the 27th floor and the views were amazing! Such a beautiful facility and housekeeping did a great job keeping our suite clean. My only complaints would be the pool is a touch too cold and the restaurant selection leaves a lot to be desired.

  • 5/5 Keeyan N. 1 year ago on Google
Every thing in room was immaculate and served its purpose. We stayed in two bedroom appartment on level 31 (partial ocean view) and it was perfect. Housekeeping staff were amazing. We were travelling with three toddlers and were often cooking so it was quite messy on days but they did great job everyday. Everything in room was in mint condition and best quality. Only thing to complain was swimming pools which were quite cold, it was a dare to jump in first and they werent too clean.

I stayed at the Waikikian and it is pretty nice. The pools do get a bit crowded so do go early so you can save yourself some seats. The Hilton village is isolated from the heart of waikiki so if you don't have a car be prepared to walk a bit. There are lot of shops and restaurants in the area but other than that there is not much sightseeing. The rooms we stayed in has a full kitchen with utensils if you plan on cooking. The rooms have ac and a decent sized balcony. The bathrooms are huge and the master room has a bidet. Oh and there is a Starbucks but be prepared to wait in line for about 20-30 minutes as service is slow. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

We recently went on a vacation her and we had a great time. The accommodations were excellent for families. The room was clean to the highest standards, which is important to during these times of COVID. The pool was so beautiful and the lagoon was so much fun for the kids and adults. I tried to catch the little fish in the lagoon. We had a great time and the shopping stores are so cute around the area.

I brought my children to Waikiki for the first time. The property is pretty big and that is why they called it the Hilton Hawaiian Village. There are a lot of restaurants. There are 4 pools and a lagoon with fishes. The staff were really friendly. The room we stayed in has an ocean view which were spectacular. We stayed at a lot of Hilton's hotels before and their services are always second to none. We had a wonderful time and my family really enjoyed our time here at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed my stay. I've stayed in the village before so I was familiar with the area. Although checking in was a little slow, the concierge was friendly and helpful.

Second time staying at the Hilton Grand Waikikian and as a family, we all agree that we love it! We had a 2 bedroom condo and the place was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We definitely will stay again!

  • 5/5 Zehua T. 2 years ago on Google
Really enjoyed the hotel and the village. The facility is beautiful and well maintained, all the appliances are topnotch, the rooms are nice, clean, and elegant. The beds are conformable. The kids really enjoyed the pools. I love the views, and all the stores. The service people all so very nice. I wish we had a map in our welcome packet, so we wont get lost in the village, and the pool towel stands could stand open longer.

Rooms are better than expected given reviews. And the elevators are the problem that others state. The problem is that prices for everything else is criminal. 40 for an umbrella. 20 for a chair. Drinks that are well liquor are 15. Bar food is 20 to 30. I know it's Hawaii but this is offensive. Pools are over crowded. Also, maintenance not allowed in room if you are there, even on balcony, but they have no problem jamming you in an office to try to sell the timeshare.

We have an opportunity to stay in the 2 bedroom penthouse and it is a great experience. We were greeting from a bellman service and he went beyond the circumstances to help us with our 7 days stay. The Penthouse checked-in experience was excellent with a lots services and amenities. The room is spacious with double size partial ocean view balcony and fully equipped kitchenette. They offer daily room cleaning.
