I'm not one to give reviews regularly; I hope this review helps. We booked this hotel (2 adults, 2 children (14 and 18). I was nervous because the amenities and the price didn't line up. We arrived and were not disappointed at all. The room had 2 bedrooms with a pull-out bed. Each kid got their own bed. The staff was excellent. The hotel has an ABC convenience store attached. ABC has everything you would need (food, alcohol, coffee, Coke fountain machine, coffee and memorabilia). The room itself was nice although a little outdated but still nice (especially for the price). The location is great. Walking distance (4 minutes) to the beach. Restaurants and stores are literally next door. I highly recommend this resort.

Good and comfy one bedroom. Small but accommodating. It had all the necessities, like a small fridge, microwave, toaster, plates and cups and utensils. The service was good and informative. The rooftop pool had a beautiful view overlooking Waikiki Beach. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to almost everything, restaurants, shops, beach. Pic is taken from the rooftop :)

Hotel was beautiful and so were all the surroundings. Very Expensive! We should have gotten more for his money. The hotel was over 200 dollars per night. Upon arrival we were told an additional 400 dollars was required for "resort fee". There was nothing extra included with the fee. We had to pay for beach chairs and umbrella 90 bucks. We had to buy our own Lei. There should be microwave ovens in the room so you can reheat your 30 dollar burger n fries.. Overall experience was nice. I'll be back when I win the lottery...

The past reviews are still current. We stayed in the Palm room with 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and 2 extra beds in the sitting area and a kitchenette. The tub in the first bathroom stop draining after the first use as well as the sink in the bedroom bathroom. The room area with the 2 beds is much smaller than the pictures. Customer service was very pleasant and concierge gave us a place to go the next day. I liked the key options for getting to floors. The view and places to eat and shop were great. The beach was in walking distance.

We loved our stay at the Imperial Hawaiian! The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. We utilized the valet service which was excellent. They had fresh towels for us when we needed them, a pool, sauna, and two outdoor hot tubs. The view of the sunset from the top floor was amazing. We were within walking distance to almost everything in Waikiki, which was super nice since parking can be an issue at times. Overall, our stay was great and we would definitely come back!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon on the studio suite and had a wonderful time. The staff is excellent all around and we're quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We arrived a bit early, so we waited in the owners lounge on the high floor for our room. The view there is AMAZING, and there are massage chairs in there as well. Our room was quite comfy, and had a nice little kitchenette with an eating area. It was a good fit for 2 people. Our room was very clean upon arrival and housekeeping did an amazing job with refreshing it throughout our stay. The Valet Parking staff were outstanding. They were so quick and polite! There is a lot of foot and car traffic in the area, and the Valet staff were on top of keeping the area clear. They made it so quick and easy to drop off and pick up our rental car each time! The staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a dinner giftcard for our honeymoon! It was very generous of them :) big thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome. We would be happy to stay here again

Perfect location and awesome views, however the rooms themselves are extremely outdated, specially for the price. They're very small and the beds are ancient and springy. Very uncomfortable. The service was hit or miss during our stay. We called down to ask for pillows and we had to call 3 times to get them. It took them almost 4 hours to bring them up and the guy who brought them must have taken a smoke break on the way because he and the pillows all reeked like cigarettes. We had to get a new set. In a separate case, we accidentally dropped something off the balcony to the rooftop below and someone went and fetched it for us which was very nice! The ABC store downstairs was a great convenience. Overall, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it unless it was last choice. There are better hotels right on the same street.

This is an old timeshare. Apartments are nice and comfortable but not luxurious or modern looking. Rooms are clean and service staff are friendly. You are next to most action and events on Waikiki! We purchased our week in 1984. Furnishings are still the same but well maintained: heavy rattan/bamboo with island motif. Kitchens appliances are updated and you have most things you need to cook and reheat meals. We own 1 wk in a Palm unit. Having 2 bathrooms is awesome for 4 people although unit COULD sleep 6: private room queen bed, pull out couch; pull down Murphy bed. Small glass table/2 chairs. Coffee table. HOWEVER...ITS ALL ABOUT LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! You are surrounded by 5 star hotels. Across street are numerous stores and eateries also huge green space that hosts events such as farmers market, entertainment etc. You are across street from Waikiki beach accessible by public walkways between 5 star hotels. Dennys is downstairs. McDonald's close by. Outrigger Waikiki close by for happy hour and drinks with view of Waikiki Beach. Lewers St. Is a major road with other numerous restaurants and eateries ending at upscale shopping center at corner, 1 block, that also hosts many events and entertainment. The Imperial has a small rooftop pool, Jacuzzis and steam rooms (I've not used these). There isn't a view while using these, the only disappointing aspect of Timeshare. Downstairs is a huge ABC store with everything you could want to buy: groceries and alcoholic beverages for room, toiletries; fast food, best Souvenirs, beach wear, beach floats, jewelry; candy, cookies, cosmetics, perfume...etc. Being an owner allows me to use penthouse for awesome views of Waikiki and Diamond Head also best view of Hilton fireworks every Friday evening. Some evenings, bar is open with tasty and reasonably-priced drinks on outdoor patio overlooking Waikiki; ask at front desk for schedule. Don't miss out on sampling Honolulu Cookie Company butter/shortbread cookies. They are the bomb! Many flavors. Really yummy. I love this timeshare. I'm sure you will appreciate a comfortable stay in the best Waikiki location while not paying for the 5 star location.

Nice place. Convenient location close to beach. Our 2 bedroom ocean view and 1 bedroom ocean view all had queen beds. I didn't think to ask. I was expecting at least one king bed. Early check-in was nice. I would stay here again. Front desk very helpful.

I used my Timeshare for our girls trip. The staff was excellent. Liked learning how to make leis. The resort is close to beach and shopping which is nice. Sitting on leni at night was nice. There are things that could be fixed. We were able to stay in owners lounge until time to go to airport. The valet even scheduled the taxi for us. But overall had a great time.

Staff was wonderful, kind, and incredibly helpful. Rented some chairs for the beach at a bargain. The rooms were spacious and very clean. My only complaints about the room was my pillows were a bit lumpy and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Too firm for my liking. The view from the owners lounge was spectacular and worth being an owner just for that. Would definitely return to this resort next time in Waikiki if it's available for my timeshare.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The service, rooms, security, pool, hot tubs, front desk, bellman’s. Absolutely no complaints. Easy check-in and express checkout. Two adults and 2 teens.

Convenient location, pricey parking. Stayed in the Palm Suite for 2 weeks. The space is pretty small around the toilets, and the bedroom walkway to the bathroom. Had to book housekeeping 1 day in advance. Courteous staff. Their hot tub is the above-ground kind that you would see in someone's backyard. Several amenities, including free Mai Tais once a week, and coed sauna 😆

Since covid it seems hotel's have stripped back on things like towel exchange and room cleaning. This place is no different. Staff was pleasant. The balcony of the room we had was a view of a parking garage. That was a bummer. Did not feel "RESORT-ISH" Just another hotel.

The bed is a pull down bed and blocked the entrance. Injured my toes a few time when coming out from the shower. Hot water is great. View is perfect. Bed too soft. Kitchen fully equipped. There is a ABC store at 1st floor. Denny's restaurant also located on 1st floor and provide 24 hour food and drinks. Best location in Waikiki. 5 mins to army museum and beach.

The hotel located in an excellent central location. The service of the staff was good. They charged extra money for parking (35$ per day). The room was nice, but the bed was small. The room had balcony. They have pool at the 27 floor with nice view. It's recommended staying here.

Location was excellent right on the strip and across the street from the Cheesecake Factory and the beach was down the street. Vendor Alley was next door. International Market was a few feet to the left. Access to alot of great restaurants. Service was great including valet parking and housekeeping staff.

Great experience at our stay while vacationing in Hawaii! Rooms kept clean and tidy. Staff is very friendly and polite. Shopping mall and food court are a few steps away. Beach and pool are conveniently located near each other.

Great spot near (not on) the beach. Middle of a bustling shopping/dining district as with much of Waikiki. Our room was great for our needs, 1 separate bedroom with 2 queens and 2 fold out beds in the main area (one sofa and one wall foldout) along with 2 bathrooms. The kitchen worked well for us, we prepared a good breakfast each day before touring about. Pool is on the roof, not bad no real view, we didn't feel drawn to swim in it during our stay. Activities in the lobby were fun, and staff was always friendly and helpful.

For the price I believe it is outstanding. Great location and the valets are super nice. I'm in the banyan suite and the bathrooms are very small. That's the only issue. It has been quite every night. I would stay here again for sure.

Excellent location. Very close to shops and restaurants. Very short walk to the beach. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Pool on the 27th floor was great we used it everyday. Rooms were a little dated but had everything we needed. Would recommend and would stay again. Aloha and Mahalo!

Really good resort. Various room types. Rooms have been updated. Great lanai. The rooms are slightly smaller than a typical hotel room, but it is very functional and clean. My room also had a full kitchen. Roof top pool is on the small side. Members of the vacation club also have access to the owners lounge on the 26th floor. Very large space with great places to sit, with multiple lanai's and an amazing view. Location is awesome as well. Even though there seems to be 781 (and counting) ABC Stores in Waikiki alone, the store that is on the bottom floor of the Imperial Hawaii, is one of the better ones. So many other restaurants and shops in the area, and the beach is 1 block away. I am a new member of the vacation club, and I look forward to many years visiting here.

We are here at the moment - came to stay for my 40th birthday. My husband emailed before we came out to find out about tea/coffee e.t.c in the room. We have been here four days now and are still waiting for a reply. Also the washing machines are $3.25 and the dryers are $2.75 not the $2.50 and $2.00 advertised online, on the leaflets and in the elevators. That's the negatives out of the way....now the room is small but that is what we chose, they are clean and reasonably quiet. The welcome at reception and all of the staff are super friendly. We watched the Wednesday show in the lounge and the musician was fantastic. ABC store on ground floor stocks loads of stuff and the Dennys is great and you get 10% discount for staying at the hotel. All of the other guests seem to be friendly and polite. The hotel has a good vibe. We have yet to use the pool, it is small but adequate and there are loungers and tables. Location is fab! Close to everything!

It was ok but a little to small for 4 of us. We had to take our own towels down to where they clean the towels to exchange for clean towels. The swimming pool water needed to be clean. Smelled like sweat so our Granddaughters just did one day of swimming. It was in a great location. Our pickups for the tours was just 1 1/2 blocks at Trump Hotel. Staff was friendly and called for a taxi to pick us up to take us to the airport.

Good value for the area and good location, however our room was too small for all the furniture and shower overflowed into the rest of the bathroom. Staff was very helpful and friendly. All in all we enjoyed our stay

I really don’t want to give 5 stars as I want The Imperial to remain a secret! What a fabulous find. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Hala Suite and it was perfect for us. The location is sensational, with the added benefit of a deli style ABC right underneath. From Lori in Reservations and Chris on Reception - thank you! We can’t wait to come back. Mahalo.

I am currently staying at this hotel and I have to say the a customer service is top notch. Michelle one of the mama gets was so helpful and sweet! If I could give this place 100 stars I would. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a perfect vacation. I will definitely come back here and stay. The authenticity and the kindness of the people that work here you WILL NOT find at these others 5 star hotels. The Denny’s right next to the lobby is also 5+stars super great service! Food was out in less that 10 minutes, fresh and hot! There is a waitress there and she was the best waitress I have EVER HAD. I am just so humbled by the kindness and love of the locals.

Had a great stay here. The receptionist was kind and let us in early. We were so close to the beach and bus stop and Musubi cafe.we received a free box of chocolates as a welcome gift. The sauna and hot tub were fantastic. We would definitely stay here again

A great location with friendly staff! The hotel is a short walk from the beach as well as many popular restaurants. They have a roof top pool and hot tub on the 3rd floor. My only complaints are that the building is a bit older so some of the plumbing (tub drainage, water pressure) isn't great. Also, the front desk can be quite busy at times.

  • 5/5 Jak G. 10 months ago on Google
Great location in downtown Waikiki. Room was good, and the view from the 23rd floor was very good. No kettle, but otherwise kitchen facilities in the studio room were sufficient. First time we slept on a murphy bed, but it did the job. Walking distance to the beach and main shops. Highly recommended.

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed. This place is amazing. Friendly staff, perfect location. Literally has everything you want and need within walking distance. The rooms facing the ocean you'll probably see Sea turtles which was a huge thing for us. Our stay here was hands down so perfect. 10/10 definitely recommend!

This was my first time staying here. It was beautiful. We had a room on the 25th floor. The view was amazing. We could watch the sunset into the ocean every day. It was very quiet, felt like we were the only ones there. I loved the lei making on Friday. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Can't wait for our next trip!

Great option for families needing 2 room options with beds. Gives you nothing you don't need and most things you do - note room cleaning is only offered once a week. Free daily activities most days, but these are first come first serve and you may miss out if you don't show up well ahead of start time. Location is fantastic, equal close proximity to beach, shopping and good restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with prompt, friendly, helpful staff. Our valet parking crew though busy were especially quick in parking and getting our cars (ask for their affordable weekly parking discounts). We enjoyed the location which is accessible to the beach, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. Our family of 11 were comfortable sleeping in two Palm suites with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Love the scenic view from two balconies per suite. Strong WIFI connection. Our children enjoyed the amenities like gym, swimming pool, beach towels, etc.. Ample laundry appliances with a large ABC store conveniently located at its doorstep. We’ll definitely stay there again.

We loved our time at The Imperial Hotel. Location was fantastic and only a short stroll to the beach. It had the BEST ABC store downstairs for all our needs and the staff were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. We had a room on a high floor with partial views of the beautiful ocean which my kids loved. The roof top pool was great and the views were fantastic. My only small criticism would be the hotel rooms are a little out-dated furniture wise and the beds weren't comfortable but the room had all we needed for our family - having two bathrooms was bloody fantastic, and having a kitchen as well was really useful for our family. We would stay here again (just please upgrade your mattresses :)).

This place is fantastic. Condos are great, some have full kitchens. greats views. rooftop pool, Staff are so friendly and very helpful. Denny's 24 hr restaurant attached to the resort lobby. Huge ABC store in the resort driveway. beach is about 4 min walk away, great place to stay with a family. Lots of places close by for food and entertainment. book directly with the resort and get a 10% discount and no resort fees. Will definitely be staying here again, the perfect place in paradise.

Location is great! You can just walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants are at the same street. Denny's is just right down next to the front door. Staff are very accomodating. The bathroom is a little small and outdated but clean. The rooms are also clean and big with nice terrace where you can see the view of the nice buildings nearby and half view of the ocean. It was a fantastic place over all.

Only great because the penthouse is individually owned outside the hotel but otherwise I’d give the hotel 0 stars. They are extremely rude and not very helpful at all. I asked for a extra mask because we lost it at the beach but they said no so my husband had to go in with a towel and they said next time he has to wear a mask and took the towel because it was a bit wet and had sand, they were always so rude when we had a question and we learned to just ask valet. Only bell hop and valet where wonderful and kind. Also one elevator goes to the pool and that’s the only one to take to the penthouse but it rarely worked and we’d end up having to take up extra flights of stairs. The view from the 28th floor is amazing and the floor itself is nicely furnished and clean compared to the hotel. Would stay again if they did cleaning to the actual hotel and carpets throughout the place because it stinks and if they get new polite front desk employees.

This hotel is like 5 minute walk to the beach. Right in the center of waikiki which is a main tourist area. The resort itself is nice. My family of 5 stayed in a 1 bedroom suite that was recently upgraded. It was the deluxe one, but didn't have a stove. It had a kitchenette with all amenities such as stove.. cups, spoon, plates , microwave, refrigerator etc, but except for the actual stove.I hope they will put in a stove later. Some of the other rooms did come with a stove though. The rooms were 1 bedroom with a porch and outside living room had a Murphy bed and a pull out couch which can sleep up to two people on each. Inside the bedroom had one queen size bed that can sleep up to two people. In the living room, there was another porch. We had a partial ocean view room that was excellent and a good view of the area. The beds were all comfty. The rooms seems to be recently upgraded. The only downfall was the bathroom was small, but we all prepared ahead of time so that we all were not trying to use the bathroom at the same time. I will definitely return to the Imperial Hawaii Resort. Sheraton is not far from it and we can see the Royal pink hotel from our view. All are within walking distance. Before my family's decided to stay at this resort, we were tossed between Hilton, Sheraton and the imperial Hawaii. However, the rooms and bed for our families and the prices of imperial resort made us decided to stay there. Also, the resort fees were less compared to the others and if you booked directly with the imperial you wouldn't have to pay the resort fees once you check-in. (At least at the time we booked)That's what we did. We did not pay resort fees. Overall, an excellent resort for the value and money.

  • 5/5 Anna M. 2 years ago on Google
Everything is in walking distance. Great place to stay. We arrived late but two of our party members arrived early, the staff was very accommodating with them. Every morning we would be greeted as we got off the elevator with a goodmorning form the staff. Our room worked out perfectly for a family of 5. In our 7 day stay only once did we have to wait in line to get onto the elevator. A great thing is that a ABC store is right next door. Very much recommend this hotel. For sure will be returning here to stay next year.
