we only stayed for a super quick visit. we caught one of the last buses at night from the airport back to the hotel and then in the morning we were on the first shuttle out. the stay was nice. room had AC thankfully because the hallways are open to the outside and very humid/hot. the shuttles run every hour from the hotel and they’ll do more trips if needed. they have options for food from the bar but we didn’t try them

Overall I almost gave it 5 stars. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. I like the baths with the showers. The lady on the front desk was nice when we checked it but not as friendly when we checked out. The airport shuttle was good but I thought it was tacky having a sign on the bus saying that you have to pay an extra $1 for every bag that the driver handles. Personally I think when you pay good money for a hotel at an airport that this service should be included. Trying to get extra money from guests who have just flown in from other countries and may not have US cash yet is not exhibiting true aloha in my opinion, especially when the lobby ATM charges a fee and give a terrible exchange rate as well. I think that helping people get on a shuttle with their bags in most countries is considered part of the service. Also we were told to wait in the wrong area by the front desk for the shuttle back to the airport and no one helped us with our bags, when we had two young children. Minor issues but I would have given 5 stars if not for them.

The rooms are really noisy. It is next to an elevated highway. Single glazed rooms. Had to use noise cancelling head phones to get sleep. Some homeless folks around. Made the walk to dinner interesting. Shuttle runs only once per hour to the airport. But the airport is really close by. Breakfast starts at 7 but we needed to catch the 7am shuttle….

It's not a Hilton, but it was great to stay at for a couple hours while our flight was delayed. The beds are pretty tough, but no bed bugs and they had a nice fridge to use if you needed it. Good AC for sure and the coffee maker was nice to have. They have a pub on the main floor and a shuttle that runs from 5am until 1am. Make sure to check if the shuttle is running if your flight is delayed as we could only use it to get to the hotel. There is definitely an expectation of a tip on the shuttle, which does offer Venmo as a tip option. The hotel is certainly a good one to get you through, but may not be the resort style you are looking for in Hawaii.

Just spent one night here. Room was very clean. Service was very good. There is not a restaurant at this location however. But I knew that ahead of time. They do charge $40 to park a car there. I wish I knew that before I rented a car. With the car rental and the overnight charge, it might have been cheaper for me just to Uber to where I had to go. But that is on me for not seeing that before I rented the car. It was very hard for Google to navigate me to the hotel from the airport. I ended up getting turned around and almost nailed by another car. Not being familiar with the streets and being at night and I was tired. So I was reluctant to drive too much around the next morning. It was very quiet for being next to an airport. Very surprising but I was only there for a few hours. I had a good night's sleep. The beds are very good. And I appreciated having shampoo and soap in reusable containers rather than those little tiny throw away containers.

Front desk was nice, amazing decor & welcoming staff. The pool was great, just the right size. The rooms were air conditioned & tidy. Lots of space. Bathroom was clean & had many freebies. The gift shop had reasonable pricing. Although.. the person at the register was kind of aggressive, overall the stay was nice, would come again!!

A nice enough stay if you need to be close to the airport. It's clean and convenient. They have a shuttle that will take you to and from the terminals. The pool looks inviting, but I didn't have time to enjoy it. If safety is a primary concern, I would avoid the bottom floor rooms of building two as they have sliding glass doors that open to the parking lot. It does have a sundries store and a cafe/bar called the Lazy Fish.

Service from requesting the shuttle at the airport when landing to checking in and check out was great. While checking out the front desk staff dealt with rude customers and one being very rude saying they would hear from his lawyer (they were pleasant to him the whole time) and they dealt with him better than he deserved. Room was clean, spacious and good location if you’re looking to be close to the airport and Joint Base Pearl Harbour. They are very military friendly which was greatly appreciated. All an all, recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Honolulu and looking for a better priced hotel.

Great and CLEAN place if you have to stay for a few nights. I was in town for business and stayed on a reservation made for me. No complaints with fresh paint, comfy beds, and good kama'aina service. GREAT place and an ideal location with a pool to boot. Only reason not a 5 star is the amenities, mainly lack of a breakfast option. Still I'd stay here again for the friendly staff and cleanliness.

Great location close to airport to stay for a night before a flight/during an overnight transit. Rooms were clean and had decent facilities. Was a short Uber ride to Waikiki. Only downsides were the free shuttle only runs after 7am meaning we couldn’t use it to get to the airport for our early morning flight, and the location is kind of random, there’s nothing around in terms of food etc.

Nice place with decent hotel staff. The best location you’ll get in respect to the being close to the airport. Well kept rooms and a nice shower. If it had a hottub I’d give 5 stars. My girls friend wouldn’t stop mentioning that! I did not affect our stay though.

Good clean hotel. The staff had much Aloha and were very helpful. Close to HNL and places to eat by foot if you didn't rent a car. They have a free shuttle from the airport that you'll need to call for when you get out to the curb at luggage claim. Respect the Locals, their culture and the place they call home.

perfectly nice rooms, actually better than that. Very close to the airport. Do be careful if you need to make a flight. The hotel has an hourly shuttle, first come first served. The shuttle filled up on our morning of departure, I dont know what would have happened if we were late. Every one of the staff was helpful and gracious. That's the best. Great hotel experience.

Airport Hotel Honolulu does the job well. The staff is super friendly and willing to help in every way. There is a small store for basic items, food and drinks. The evening livens up a bit with a large bar/lounge area with good pours, music and plentiful seating. The rooms are very clean and come with a mini fridge, large flat screen monitor and a comfy bed. The hot and powerful shower makes a difference. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

Great service and clean rooms. Fridge/freezer microwave and coffee maker. Nice pool and courtyard. Limited amenities in bathroom and AC a bit loud. Bar/bistro open 5 to 10pm but very close to several food outlets. Super close to airport. Public bus nearby 50 min to waikiki and 15 to pear harbour site. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you!!

We stayed here for just one night for a transition. This hotel wasn't new, but it didn't feel like a nasty old hotel at all, and room was very clean and nice! I loved the Hawaiian feel of this hotel. The staff was so nice too!

This is an aging hotel. Not much for amenities. We had a long wait to check in, but the staff was lovely. Of course, the location made it worth it after an exhausting day of flying! Shuttle is convenient, but stops at 1030pm, so keep that in mind. Also the morning shuttle has very specific times and is first come first served.

Fantastic on many levels. Very clean with really nice rooms. Good little market in the hotel, bar/restaurant if you don't want to go out and the pool is awsome. Worth mentioning twice is how amazingly clean it is..everywhere! Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. The property is older but has been updated on every level. It's right next to the airport and has restaurants and a good market within a five minute walk. I have stayed at a different airport hotels that directly compete with this one and the difference is night and day! This is hands down the best. I am seldom this impressed... It is a wood frame building and you can hear people and road noise but it is extremely muted and not bothersome.

Pros: -great location, a 15min walk to the airport, which we did at 6:30am with a 2yr old in tow and had no issues; -laundry services available, that came in handy since we spent the day at the beach and had wet towels and bathing suits and didn’t want to fly out the next morning with wet clothes in our bags; -A somewhat sense of security as you have to use your card to access the floors Cons: -always long line at front desk; -Have to pay $40 for parking; -Shuttle service is hourly only on the hour. My husband had to return our rental car and was told to call hotel and shuttle will pick him up at airport. Considering it’s so close you’d think that would be no problem, but he had to wait 30mins and two phone calls later the shuttle finally showed up; -Bugs in room: don’t even think of bringing any type of food into the room. We were there less then ten mins and one decided to feast on our malasadas. Good thing I got to it before it got in the box; -Overpriced

Make sure you read the fine print when booking, you'll pay $40.00 a night in addition to all the other charges just to park your vehicle at the hotel. I think 40.00 a night to park is absolutely ridiculous considering I didn't even pay that much a day to rent the car. In addition to the ridiculous overpriced parking the hotel location is difficult to access. Next time I visit Hawaii, I'll definitely be staying elsewhere and would recommend anyone considering a stay here, look elsewhere to get your money's worth. With that being said, the room was pretty basic but clean, the bed is horrible, feels like sleeping on a pile of springs. This hotel is definitely not worth your money!

For the price... not impressed. Pros: bed has nice mattress. Room is clean. Nice staff. It is VERY near the airport, you can walk. Cons: really really noisy. Room is not dark at night. Poor responses to queries... and that also applied to the two people in front of me at check-in. I went here because it was conveniently close to the airport, but I'll forsake the convenience next time for somewhere better. No breakfast, no proper food...

Custom service and everyone was professional and super helpful. I was really excited for this hotel due to being close to the airport. The room on the other hand disappoint me. I was excited to see our room instead I was welcome by a roach on the door. The carpet was kinda wet and has a weird smell. Then before we went to sleep, a roach on the headboard beat me to our bed😐

Stayed here as a result of a delayed flight. We had a couple of issues with our stay, the first being the access cards didn’t work a couple of times. There was also a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms, it seems like there is little sound insulation between the rooms as we could hear our neighbours speaking and playing music on their phone. For the cost ($250+/night), the overall quality of the rooms was quite low as they were dated. Friendly staff though, and the free shuttle to the airport was appreciated.

I would only recommend this hotel if you were wanting to be close to the airport, it is very close. Our room was not the cleanest, the corners in the bathroom were dirty. The beds are not good, had a very bouncy spring mattress. Definitely not as nice as the pictures make the hotel look. And they charge you $40 per night parking and $10 for amenities so it was $51 more which I think is ridiculous for a guest staying at their hotel just to park a car! Was not the easiest to find using Google maps, for some reason it takes you a different place, we had to call the hotel to get directions. I wouldn’t stay here again, but if you need to be close to the airport and don’t have a car it might be a good choice for you.

Good location with shuttle, room decent but had a bedbug which spoilt our stay towards the end. Staff apologized and management gave 25% off the price.

We had the Oahu Banquet room for a Company meeting last night and everything was excellent. Super friendly and polite staff. Very clean restrooms and nice atmosphere.

Stayed here for about a week. Check-in was smooth. They ask for a $50 deposit on a card or $350 cash deposit. If you park on there lot they charge $40 for parking. My first room when I arrived was clean, comfortable, and decent. It was in the main building. Clean bed sheets, nice bathroom, spacious room. I had booked my room online for just a couple of days. After four days, I checked out and decided to check back in later that day for a couple more nights without reservations. This time, I was placed in their second building, which had a down elevator. If you're unlucky enough to be put in the 2nd building, good luck. My first room on that side was somewhat unclean. Sheets were stained, and the bathroom was dirty. Felt like housekeeping roughly ran through the room. Hair on the bed, I doubt they washed the sheets. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. The second room I was given smelled like someone had just smoked inside, so I had to change it right away. The third room I stayed in was a bit more suitable. the only thing was there was no hand soap or shampoo in the restroom.

I loved how it was located near the airport and easy to get to. Room rates were quite reasonable especially if you on a tight budget and wanting to see the island. The rooms were decent and tidy. Minor flaw was that there were minor roach problems in the room. Other than that, staff were, professionals with getting guest situated quickly. I highly recommend Airport Honolulu Hotel to all tourists who are planning their next trip to Hawaii.

By watching all the photos you'll know the rating of this hotel. They didn't even bother to offer any discounts . Stayed there for 6-8 hours due to flight delay. I was staying at Sheraton Waikiki before this for 5 days, no whay to compair. oh ya they said manager will be available after 9 am. My flight is at 7 am. Don't waste your money time and health to stay here...

Giving this place 5 stars, not because it’s a “5 star resort” but because it completely filled our needs in a transit hotel. We stopped at Honolulu airport to break up a long trip from California to Australia so we only needed a place to eat and rest before our flight early the next morning. Reception was friendly and welcoming and check in was pretty quick. Room cards are needed in the elevators to access your floor for extra security. There’s a bar, restaurant and gift shop downstairs near the lobby.

  • 4/5 Steve L. 10 months ago on Google
This Hotel is decent and the staff was friendly. Rooms were decent size and clean. The location is adjacent to the Airport and the Highway but the noise wasn't bad and we slept well. The building itself is in need of a refresh and looks a bit tired. There is a bar/restaurant on site and also a gift shop where you can purchase snacks/food. There is a McDonalds and IHOP about a block away and a gas station a block away as well for those needing to fuel up their rental cars before drop off. The pool is very nice and pool towels are provided. There is an extra amenity fee and also a parking fee to park on site.

If I could post a zero for this hotel, I would. If you have any mobility issue or handicaps, this hotel is NOT for you. Let me explain. About a month ago my mother and sister needed a handicap accessible room for a few hours stay at the Airport Honolulu Hotel, before their flight home. Instead they received a nightmare. My mother who is 92 years old and has a walker was forced to walk a very long distance which with her knees she had great difficulty to a room that should've been handicap accessible. Instead no such accommodation was available according to hotel staff. My sister accompanied her has had a double knee replacement. That's strike 1. Because of the non-handicap accessible room my mother had to use a standard bathroom and she has great difficulty in standing without railing or a raised seat. Instead my mother was trapped on the normal toilet seat for five hours. Available hotel staff said they weren't medically or legally qualified to help her up. So they just stared and left her there. That's strike 2. To added insult to my mother's discomfort. They bring a raised seat which they could've provided at first which may have given her a chance to relax and even lay down on the bed for the room that had been purchased. They, obviously embarrassed by the situation just left the seat inside the room and bugged out!!!! That's strike 3. I guess that's why they left nothing for my sister to review their stay. To this day since my mother's return from this situation, she has been pain and discomfort. If this is how they treat the least of their guests, why would you stay here?

It is a practical hotel because it is near the airport at a good price and there is a shuttle bus available each hour. However it not so easy to reach it by walk from the airport, because there is no clear walkway and the hotel in its inside is quite old. The reception is open even late and the staff is friendly

  • 3/5 Esteban R. 2 years ago on Google
Only about a mile away from the airport, if that. Good if you’re only flying in for a day or two. I was there for ten days and had to commute everywhere which was super expensive. I’d stay in the Waikiki area next time same prices and much more to do out there without having to rent a vehicle or call an Uber (which for a 7 minute ride adds up to be anywhere from 35-45 dollars) then the same going back. Not a bad hotel though they have a pool area didn’t serve breakfast or anything. Again great if you’re staying on that island for one or two days if not I don’t recommend.

This hotel is not suitable for a family of 5 with 3 children. When arriving at Honolulu for a family trip on Feb, 2023, it was night time. After moving to the hotel by shuttle, we were denied check-in because they can accept only 4 members per room. They didn't care that the last kid is 4 years old. The hotel told me that booking an extra room for $290 was the only option I had. So I requested that only 4 family members check in, as I would sleep elsewhere. However, the manager of hotel said that they would only check in the rest of my family if there was proof that I had booked the other hotel, and shortly thereafter offered an extra room for $170 before tax. Eventually, I was separated from my family and slept at a hostel. I respect the hotel's policy and they should have some reason to accept our family with children of 4, 8 and 9 years old. However, I think the hotel had to make it clear that even if the children are young, more than 4 people cannot sleep in one room when booking the room. However, the shuttle bus service was great, and the young staff(except the managers) at the check-in desk was very friendly. Additionally, when my family checked in, garbage bags were collected in the hallway in front of our room door. Room condition was not good compared to the price.

  • 3/5 Ron R. 1 year ago on Google
Not a bad place. Services offered could be more customer centric. Shuttle service only leaves once an hour while the airport is less than a mile a way. I understand gas is expensive here but at least twice an hour…snack bar should be available 24/7..that’s pretty much standard now..or at least have snack machines that take cards…other than that I had a comfortable experience.

  • 2/5 Kenneth MR C. 1 year ago on Google
United canceled my flight and we were given vouchers for a room. It's pretty basic, no-frills. Could use some updating and better cleaning. Food vouchers were also provided but the hotel's restaurant was closed and the nearest food outlets were McDonald's and IHOP a block away.

  • 4/5 Cori N. 1 year ago on Google
PROS: airport shuttle arrived on time and clean. Great location. Hotel room clean and also had spare sofa bed to accommodate my family. CONS: some of the people could brush up on manners. Why be in the service industry if you don't have a service mentality.

Everything from the check in to the check out was amazing service! Ann at the front desk was especially helpful and so kind. The rooms are clean, fresh and the linens are comfortable. Would recommend for anyone looking for a conveniently located hotel

No part of me would ever stay in this hotel again. We were moving off island and limited on where we can stay with a pet. We came here because of that, and the shuttle to the airport. Our first room, the bathroom was covered in black mold. There was part of the wallpaper peeling up, and behind the wallpaper was black mold. Black mold was sprouting in the sink. That’s where I wash my BABY’S bottles. Then they move us to a new room with no compensation for the inconvenience. They gave us hours to move our stuff when we have a 4 year old with a broken arm and a 3 month old. We are moving off island so we have a ton of stuff with us. They move us to the room across from the elevator, which with a dog, is terrible. The wifi doesn’t work in this room. Then our bathroom flooded. No compensation for anything we have dealt with. This hotel has been an absolute nightmare and made our military move off island a complete nightmare. We will be sharing to military pages about this hotel and experience in hopes others do not have to end up dealing with the stress this hotel added to our lives.

Avoid this hotel if you need airport transportation when the shuttle is not available. Became a stressful situation with no Uber or Lyft rides and a scheduled cab that was 30 minutes late. Only stayed as an overnight from our Kauai return before returning to the mainland. It wasn't horrible but a bit dingy with some questionable characters roaming the halls and elevator asking for cigarettes and alcohol. Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful and the ac was cold. The little shop was a lifesaver to get food for our breakfast before a 4:45 am departure.

  • 1/5 Michael P. 2 years ago on Google
Stayed here on 03-June-2021. Very disappointing. The restaurant is closed and has been for two years. The rate was $179.00 plus tax plus a $30 deposit. I asked if there was a military discount and was told that the rate would be higher. There is no bar on the premises only a small gift shop. The sound of planes taking off and landing is an added feature as well. Beware.

I know this place is just a two star, but the front desk people and manager are great! When Expedia made a mistake with our booking (at our expense) and cancelled it, the staff at the desk worked for two days playing phone-tag with their customer service to fix our booking issue, AND got us pur money back. No idea how they talked them into it, but they did, and that's $500 back into our pockets. Plus: they are NOT stingy with the clean towels, and the pool is perfectly clean at all times. They have some of the fastest housekeepers I've ever seen too! Very good place to stay

Very clean. Super nice people. Complimentary shuttle to airport. Food in walking distance. An older hotel but clean and fairly updated. A great place to stay overnight.
