The rooms were very comfortable. The kitchenette was very well stocked. Everything that you need to cook, as well as the quality of the blender, silverware pots and pans was really good. The views from the room were gorgeous. We watched the sunset and the sunrise over diamond head. It is a 10-15 min walk to the beach, very convenient. The hotel had beach towel service and you could borrow umbrellas which made it super convenient. The best part of our stay was the amazing service. Everyone were super friendly. On the second day our fridge stopped working. We called and immediately they replaced it. Same experience when we had problems playing movies with the playstation. During covid, they request you to ask for room service before 24 hours. However you can request towels, garbage bags etc anytime from the reception. Highly recommend using the valet service to park your car. There is very little parking options in waikiki. Everyone at the Valet were very friendly. In the evening the Valet could get busy, please be patient at that time. One thing we missed in the kitchen was the dishwasher. That would have made it much more easier for us. You get a $10 credit at the fish hook cafe everyday, you can use it up all at once if you are staying multiple days. A wonderful vacation made memorable by the excellent customer service that was provided to us.

The Luana is perfectly average in every way, and that is not a bad thing. As one of the cheaper options in Waikiki, this hotel is the perfect example of value. The location is nice, as it is out of the main traffic but not too far away from shops and food. The furniture is a little beat up, but the room is otherwise perfectly comfortable. Service is top notch as well, with friendly staff ready to help with whatever you need. If you're looking for the value deal in Waikiki, this is it. It is clean an acceptable and a good way to save money.

We had a Partial ocean view room with kitchen and it was lovely. Wished they could provide housekeeping daily and only other thing was the bathroom was so small. (Found a lizard in the room but I mean according to the front desk they eat the bugs but it wasnt such a big deal to me anyways) Overall I'd definitely come back.

I really enjoyed my week stay here. The room was clean with plenty of space even with a studio. Has a kitchenette with a decent sized fridge that was cold. The fan/AC was great and provided some great white noise that I need to fall asleep to. Only issue was that you can hear not talking but other noises from the neighbors.. like moving around furniture/other stuff. The balcony doesn't provide much privacy either, whether with the person right next door or other balconies to the side and above. But everything in general was great. Customer service was great. Lobby had some seating to wait for others. In a good location too, just a short walk to the main Waikiki downtown area. And the cafe/restaurant right outside the lobby is REALLY good too! You get a $10 voucher for every night you stay, so we had $70 to blow and the food was excellent.

My first time in Hawaii and it was wonderful! Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the beach and shops. Courteous, responsive staff with great recommendations for activities (Gina was SUPER helpful). Clean, comfortable rooms, and it was nice having a kitchen in the space. Definitely recommend!

Okay I guess. The cafe in front is very good. They do include a charge for amenities which makes no sense, when you book its to use or ask for extra towels for example with out charge. They let us know after we checked in. The room was not the cleanest, it had a kitchen area with all utensils included, I decided to grab a knife and as I looked it was not cleaned, we never ever used any of the knifes, as I grabbed the rest of the knifes to check for cleanliness they were all used and dirty. I never decided to use the kitchen after that. I loved the service up front with the men helping to bring up our car and drop off our car in the garage they all had excellent service.

In all, worth the price for easy access to Waikiki Beach without paying an arm and a leg at a resort. Nice rooms and staff. No house keeping if your are staying less than 5 days. Pool was nice, private and smallish. Wifi was slow enough on the top floor that I could not use it for calls. Front desk and valet were friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Luana 5 days and literally writing this review right after we checked out. We booked 2 rooms. One had a full kitchen however, the microwave didn’t work, 2 outlets in the kitchen did not work and the shower water was extremely hot, even on low. Other than that, I didn’t appreciate our reservation getting a little messed up because they are at full capacity now, so we ended up with a beautiful view of the gas station next door with super bright lights that never really gave us a dark room for our kids to naturally fall asleep. Now for the good. Brad at the entrance was a super helpful guy, the staff at the Fishhook restaurant were awesome and super nice. The food was great too. The pool was perfect, it was never super packed and it was always clean. There were always clean towels to use. This place was perfect for our family. I would suggest to take your own slippers and ask for a broom and dust pan to clean up all the sand. The floors are cold and you’ll keep stepping on beach sand for days if you don’t sweep it up yourself. The housekeeping staff was nice and would bring up whatever we needed. We would stay here again.

We're from Big Island and really enjoyed our 2-night stay here while island hopping. Location was perfect for our main activity, the gem show (10min walk to convention center). Price was affordable in comparison to the other hotels, staff was helpful, room was nice and included a little kitchen. Free wine and cheese thing was fun and featured a solid local musician and hula dancer. We'll be returning next year.

We stayed for only one night and I’m glad we did that. The room was okay, nothing great. There’s no microwave which was a big downside for us. Kitchenette was okay, the knives/cutlery were dirty and we didn’t end up using those. Air conditioning was not working, the maintenance staff tried to help but it still did not work. Since it was only for one night we didn’t bother more. I would not stay here next time just for the above reasons. It’s not a cheap place compared to other properties as well.

We had a great experience in this hotel. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of amenities. The staff are pleasant and professional. They have valet parking and both the parking attendants were prompt and professional. There is also live music+ hula dance for entertainment 3 days a week along with a wine and cheese event. The hotel is walking distance from the Waikiki beach and the Waikiki shopping center. I thank the hotel staff for their wonderful service and will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

If you like the city scene with park and ocean views at an affordable rate then the Luana Waikiki is for you! We stayed on the 16th floor and had sweeping city, park, and partial ocean views. We can see some of the legendary Diamond Head. Its a few minutes walk to the beach through the Ft Debussy park’s well maintained grounds. A small pool, gas grills, coin operated laundry are all a part of the amenities. Our room had a well supplied kitchenette. Aloha!

Aloha. For the cost you get a pretty decent deal. This was our first time to Hawaii so I'm passing on the knowledge you new comers. The hotel transient accommodation tax was $2.77 county tax $0.81, $1.28 general excise tax which all taxes are charged daily. Amenity charges $27.00 (using the gym, treadmill and pool). Because we had a late check out at 6:00pm we were also charged $80.00. We had issues with our play station and the attendant dealt with it immediately and professionally. The desk representatives at the front were knowledgeable and polite. The cleaning staff always gave us what ever we asked for. Very accommodating and professional. Waikiki is a great place but be prepared to bring lots of cash as every thing is high priced. Tipping is encouraged as tourism is a big economy and creates a multitude of jobs. Mahalo cousin 🌴🌅🌺🌺🌺🌺

Our stay here was awesome!! They have a decent kitchenette style in the room. The only thing I wish they had was a microwave but they give you a toaster oven and that works OK as well. The balcony was very nice the room was always clean and nice the pool is really warm and clean and inviting. They have a very good café downstairs that they give you a little credit for and the prices are not bad. The breakfast is good and the fresh press pineapple juice is amazing I definitely would try that if you go. Just keep in mind they do charge a daily resort fee that they don’t tell you about until you sign in which is probably an extra $200 depending on how long you stay at the hotel. That is OK I guess but they should just charge a little more for the room then charge you a resort fee that you’re not preparing to pay for.

Beautiful hotel with TONS of amenities for guests! Rooms are spacious and clean, the pool was refreshing, washer and dryers were available to guests, they have a great little café at the front of the building and their Valet service was prompt and affordable. Each employee we encountered was kind, knowledgeable and friendly! We especially love the Team of Valets, they were always laughing with us and extremely patient with our needs. We will be back again soon!

Nice hotel for the space. They have a really nice looking lobby. Rooms are ok but you get what you pay for. It's cool that they have activities just like any big hotel company. Favorite activity is the Poke making class that Fish Hook hosts

Great view, good location, wonderful hospitality. Laundry facilities are useful. Pool is nice. No hot tub, I could have used a king bed instead of a queen. No complaints, good hotel for the location and with decent rates.

Our stay in Luana was excellent overall. Room was clean and spacious, ocean view and the patio were great and the location was perfect! What compelled me to write a review was the support and care we received from Patricia Davis from housekeeping. We forgot few valuables in the room and Patricia went above and beyond in getting them delivered to us. She showed empathy, care and diligence and kept us well informed through the process. Her management of the situation and customer care was par excellence! Thank you Patricia!

Loved the location (walking distance to Waikiki beach and shopping areas), room and facilities (gym, pool, drinks vending machine and coin operated washer/dryer machines). The staff were friendly and very helpful. My only issue is that the air-conditioning unit was loud and would switch off and on during the night.

I booked my stay with Southwest Vacations. Small bump in the road when i checked in but staff took care of the issue. The hotel is nice but it is more of a condo situation. My room was clean and had a kitchenette. It had small refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster oven. You can access gas grills on the mezzanine level. All the kitchen items were in the room. Had a small table with two chairs and TV with a DVD play. You can rent dvd's in the lobby. It has a nice balcony with a city view. It is within walking distance to shops and resterants. The hotel itself does not have a resterant. I found places that did take out and brought it back. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay was warm and welcoming, the view was also very entertaining with a full view of the nearby park and gardens. Lots of foot traffic and action. The rooms were spacious and accommodating 👍

(copying from trip advisor for further reach) So we were "bamboozled" as my husband says by our original Airbnb and needed to find somewhere STAT. The cost was great, so was the check in, and the availability. The hotel is gorgeous and they have AMAZING gatherings M, W, and F where you can eat some cheese and drink some wine and listen to amazing music and watch some hula dances. My husband and I went and were astounded at how fun it was! I highly recommend this hotel as it's close to the beach and shops, the rooms are great, and the amenities even better. Aside from having some sand in some parts of the room, my sports bra (the only one I had packed) did fall victim to the dryer in the laundry area so beware of that. Other than that, it was great!

Great hotel. Perfect location, just a bit away from the main strip of Waikiki. Room i had was very big and luxurious. Very comfortable bed as well, small kitchen with basically everything you need, except for a stove obviously. It was clean as well.

This establishment is very upscale, but also allows you to have your freedom. But to be honest, what has impressed me the very most is the care, attention, and quality work that the valets and luggage handlers have shown. These people are running, lifting, and helping people all day every day, and they do it with a genuine smile and aloha spirit all while fighting the summer sun. That is certainly something I don’t think I would be able to do! Special shout out to Will.. if you are planning on staying here, ask for Will to help with your luggage when you arrive! I can promise that his amazing attitude and assistance will start your trip off on the best foot, and he’ll keep it going throughout your stay!!

Room was nice, balcony, sink, toaster oven, dishes and silverware. It definitely hit all the right spots. Excellent for the Waikiki area. Short walk to the beach and a hop away from the shopping district. The best part? The diner located in the hotel. It was some of the best food we had on the entire island. Price is perfect and portions were great. Always satisfied with a meal from there.

Very nice hotel with full kitchen and balcony (at least the two rooms I stayed in). Slightly upscale, but not excessive. Pricing was reasonable and staff were super nice and helpful. Valet parking wasn’t exorbitant and they provide 24 hr vehicle access. Overall, I’d recommend Luana if you have a mid range budget. There are both cheaper and more expensive options nearby, but this place was great.

My family stayed here for 4 nights. I am writing this on the last morning of our stay, a few hours before we check out. I don't know where to start, but I will try to be brief. This hotel has roaches! The second day of our stay, my husbad killed a very large one in the bathroom. We didn't say anything the first time because we thought it would be a one time occurrance...it was not. When we finally tried to notify the staff the third night, they didn't have anyone from customer service at the front desk but a security guard who could not do anything, and she acted like it was not a big deal. They had no microwave in our room. When I enquired about using one just to warm up the food my family had, I was told by customer service that they can only let us use one in our room if we pay an additional $35.00 per night for it which I thought was crazy. They are charging a resort fee, but I cannot figure out why. They don't clean the rooms unless you stay for 5 nights, so the rooms get sandy pretty quickly. The pictures of the hotel online do not match this hotel. The outside of the hotel and the lobby make you think that the hotel is nice, but the rooms and hallways do not match the pictures. We will not be staying here again, and I am only writing this review to caution other families about thinking twice about staying here. They do not even deserve one star! The other reviews on this sight that have been favorabe must have been written by the hotel because this hotel and customer service have not in any ways matched the claims. Do yourself a favor, and do not book this hotel for your stay!

If you like hotels that lack customer service, this is the one. Don’t waste your money. Horrible service, small rooms, parking is a joke, and location is ok, for the money we did better. Doubletree, 2 minutes away saved us that night. Bigger rooms, better parking and Hilton quality service. We booked a 2 queen room. Showed up and they didn’t have a two queen room, only a couch and a queen. They were charging us the same price and said “we can’t quarantee your rooms”. Two other parties in the lobby that night were dealing with the same issue, needed 2 queens and they didn’t have it. They were thrilled when I said “I guess I just need to go and find a new hotel”. Clem the manager, and the girl at the front desk displayed absolutely no problem solving skills. It was an “oh well” attitude.

Everything is perfect, we like the room and location, our room is not the Studio Kitchenette, but we still have a small oven and all kitchenware in the room. also, the downstairs Fish Hook Cafe is very good.

Great value for money, friendly staff, resort feeling. Tiny pool but lovely space with sunbeds, towels, music & cold fruity water. Amazing location.

We have stayed here before and have been very pleased with our stay. This time was a different story. It took us almost an hour and a half standing in line upon arrival just to check in. Asked for an extra blanket and they had none, had to constantly ask to have the toilet paper in our bathroom replaced, nothing was ever replenished. Anytime we needed anything from the front desk it was a ridiculous wait with zero acknowledgment. Garbages overflowing and hallways filled with garbage sitting outside peoples doors. Although our last stay was pleasant which made us return. I would never stay at this hotel again. Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful.

A very convenient place to stay far enough from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki yet close enough to walk everywhere. Our family of 4 had a great time staying in the one bedroom suite w/kitchenette. All of our accommodations were met with aloha spirit & grace. Mahalo to the entire staff (including the valet service) & especially to Gina at the front desk for making everything just right. We would go back tomorrow if we could!

Wonderful and cheerful service. Clearly loved working here. Great 1 bedroom apartment. 2 balconies with sea and city views. Free buses to get to town and back. Great gym. Nice pool. LOVED the BBQ FACILITIES. and reasonably priced car hirage next door. Would definitely stay again.

Nice property a short walk from the beach with city view also having the mountains in the background. overall with the porch table and kitchenette in the room we booked it with cannot complain. The resort fee seemed overkill with not much being used from it and still being charged. Thankfully we didn't rent a car otherwise parking is very expensive here.

Staff very polite very helpful. Balcony with Ocean view was great. Very clean room bed was comfortable kitchen was good I would stay again. Valet parking was very convenient with a little restaurant out front connected to the building Fish Hook restaurant

Very friendly staff. Nice amenities. Great location.. The booking agent told me a few incorrect things. The AC was so-so and the TV was small. Had to learn how to use a microwave oven. Kitchen utensils were recently added and were nice. Good size mini fridge. Comes with a small freezer that works well.

OK our favorite part is the breakfast joint... Don't skip it because you think it's a hole in the wall.. It was by far our favorite breakfast place that we went to the whole time. The hotel staff is friendly and the price is good…. It's well located. Though not on the beach directly It could use a few updates to things like the bed is the bed…. But nothing horrible The downfalls were: no alcohol anywhere on site on site. The pool is pretty much a running joke.... Lastly, I cannot stand hidden fees! Don't charge me $25 A-day when I get there. Just tell me what the actual price of the hotel is…. It's not that I can't pay it, it's that it's shady and annoying.
