Highly recommend it. Rooms are just a bit small, but when you're in Hawaii you don't come to spend your day in your room. Had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Great location, within walking distance of the main street, where you can do lots of shopping and eating.

Hello Viewer, we're in Hawaii. Always a great place to visit and relax. Accommodations are excellent!! The weather is absolutely great. Some cloudiness late afternoon and rain later on. Our room is absolutely tops...plenty of space...gorgeous views. Picked up a rental car at Budget Rental. Completing that process online before arriving is better.

We’re staying at the Hilton Waikiki village hotel and it’s beautiful. Upon our arrival we checked out the tours and activities desk and made arrangements for a sail cruise. We were offered a discount if we attended a presentation “a sales pitch” to hear about their members club to become an owner for their vacation club resort. We attended the presentation not to mention we gave away 2 hrs away from our vacation time. Presentation was smooth, agents were so nice until we said no to their offer. Their whole personalities changed. They were no longer nice or accommodating. You could tell they were bothered at the fact that their pitch was turned down. Not to mention they tell you there’s no pressure when going into the presentation. But yet they pretty much look angry if you don’t walk out saying yes. These people get paid to do these presentations I understand it’s their time too but it’s their job. They need to be more understanding when it comes to visitors. We’re giving up time we could be doing other things instead of being a chair for 2 hrs listening to a sales pitch to only get a bad reaction once it’s all over. Cynthia you were awesome and polite until we said no and then you could tell it’s all fake. As well as the other young lady who came in after you who was suppose to only do a survey but instead just threw another sales pitch. Pleasant until she heard a no. They need to learn how to be respectful even their sales pitch wasn’t successful.

Our family had a great experience at the Hilton Grand islander. The penthouse was luxuriously amazing with a breathtaking view of the beach and the city. The VIP Lounge staff, Stan, Laura and Mari, including the cleaning crew provided us an exceptional service. The only drawback was the air conditioning in the master bedroom. It felt warm at night so we have to keep the door open to let the cool air from the living room to get in. Overall, all of us had a grand stay and we loved every moment of it.

We loved our stay here! The room was clean, spacious, had a great view and the Oahu winds on the balcony were amazing. There are a handful of different towers at the Hilton Village and all guests can use any of their many pools. Lots of restaurants are on site, gift shops as well as ABC stores which have all the essentials. Not to mention it's also steps away from Waikiki beach. Would definitely recommend.

The Grand Islander (GI) by HGV is the newest building in the Hilton Hawaiian Village complex. The GI units are very nice. The front desk staff are welcoming and friendly. The location is very convenient and has many dinning options on the premise. The food quality is very good. Easy walk to We had a good time The hotel charges a high rate of $49/day for guests parking in the garage. Valet parking is not available at this time. All the Hilton (hotel and timeshare) buildings share the same garage. It was hard to figure out in the beginning. And the garage is poorly lit and run down looking. It needs new paint, renovation, and better signage. It was very nice for the building to offer the lounge for guests that are either waiting for the units to be ready if they arrive early or have a late flight to rest and clean up.

This is a timeshare property so you don’t get the regular warm hotel service. Concierge never picked up the phone. Some front desk and Bell staff looked unhappy to be there. I found only the housekeeping team and valet to be nice. You can’t request to be close to your friends and no adjoining rooms because it’s based on availability from the time share. Also can’t request special amenities eg a bday card or balloons for my friend’s bday. Entrance to this hotel is odd, small up ramp that is easily missed. Parking is ridiculous. The hotel parking is 15 minutes walk and the closest parking lot is across the street for $79 a night. The pools are always packed and only the kiddie pool is warm (with lots of floaties in the water yuck) and the rest are quite cold. Pool on the 3rd floor is less busy which is nice but again water is consistently cold everyday. For the amount of Hilton hotels, there is definitely not enough pools and the beach was too rocky. Rooms are standard with all necessary utensils and tools and they provide you laundry detergent and dish soap/sponge. Both our coffee machine and water kettle tasted like chemicals so we decided against them. It’s impossible to get a coffee in the Hilton compound without a huge line up, this was quite frustrating each day. We have 2 young kids and I appreciated that our rooms were cleaned daily and given fresh towels. Surprisingly this hotel was closer to the strip than we thought because there was a park you can cut across. However it is still off the strip so it’s at least a 15 minute walk to the international market. I wish there were better restaurant options and better facilities at this property. It didn’t attract us to stay within the Hilton compound. We found ourselves driving to other beaches and eating elsewhere because of their lack of options. It’s a good option if you travel with family/friends who needs suites for more room but other than that I would not recommend anything else at this hotel.

All the staff are so sweet! At many hotels you can tell that the staff really don’t want to be there, but here they seem genuinely invested in every person staying there. The pools and beaches are very well maintained and are lots of fun. Our kitchen in our 2 bed suite has everything you could possibly need (a blender, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, bowls, ice cream scooper, silverware, knifes, and everything you could possibly need). The view and landscaping of the resort is so incredible. If you stay here make sure to check out the secret pool and main lobby. We sadly didn’t know that this existed until our last day, but once we knew about it we loved every second we could get exploring it. I don’t usually write reviews but I’m so satisfied by our experience here and kinda wanted to rant about how amazing it is. Thanks to all the staff/employees here making it such a positive experience in Hawaii!

As an Elite HGV Owner, I do have a higher set of expectations than many. Additionally, I am also HHonors Lifetime Diamond as well. Purchased at the GI back when it first opened in 2017. I've stayed at the GI several times since the purchase, but like many things being shut down for 2½ years some things are not as luxurious as they were 5 years ago. Overall I would still give the property 4-stars, but some thing have not returned to PRE-COVID. One of these is the Owner Lounge on the 3rd floor by the pool. Unlike originally, there are no snacks or drinks provided...NONE! Not even water! This is a huge disappointment for me as since check-out is a 10:00a mandate with no exceptions (another disappointment this trip). I always take an evening flight back to the Mainland, so I usually just relax at the Owner's Lounge. I did the same this trip, but for several hours longer than I really wanted. Just disappointing. The suite I had this week was a 2 BR/2 BA corner suite. The views on the 2 patios were very nice. Overall the quality of everything in the suite was good and fully functional. Again, I would recommend The Grand Islander.

This is definitely the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. There was a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a washer and dryer in the room which I definitely took advantage of. We had a decent view of the ocean and the fireworks on Friday night. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping the rooms very clean and bringing you anything you need like extra pillows or towels. The beds were comfy and I got to use a bidet for the first time. The shower was a little small and I wish they had a whirlpool tub instead of a regular tub but still was very nice. We had an issue with the garbage disposal and notified the front desk and they sent someone up right away to fix it. If I ever go back to Hawaii, I would definitely stay here again. For the negative comments: I have to say is that the parking garage is a little far away and yet they still charge you $40 each night to park your vehicle. There are about 4 other hotel fees too which adds up to be a lot of $. We will be paying off this trip for a long time!! Also, if you like to go to sleep before 10 PM, you may have trouble sleeping because the hotel next to this one plays loud music and you can hear it even with the windows and door and blinds closed. This hotel was a little hard to find. We could not figure out how to pull into the front to check in and circled the block several times. If you have a large vehicle or truck, I'm not sure it would make it up the narrow driveway. You have to pull onto the sidewalk first. If you blink, you will miss it. I wish there was a better entrance.

The resort is dated and overcrowded with service being close to non-existent. It's okay as a place to drop your stuff off or if you have kids and a little on the poor side and this is just your life. The room itself is fine but looks like we stayed on a remodeled floor that was acceptable. A lot of floors looked very dated and worn.

The Hotel was amazing! I stayed at The grand Islander with its own private check in/check out. I loved the Hilton Village, it was really an amazing atmosphere with amazing views. I had the 2 bedroom suite partial ocean view(see image below). The location was near everything, the Ala Moana shopping center close, also close to the ocean, lots of restaurants and stores. The only complaints I would have is that the Hawaiian water( we were supposed to get 6 on arrival and we did not up until the last day of our stay). I wish they had some already in the room. That was a bummer. I also asked for tea bags because my mom doesn't drink coffee and they couldn't bring us any. Also, I am a Gold member for Hilton Honors. We are also getting two waters daily but I don't like that I have to wait at the front desk to get it. It states to go to the concierge, but they tell me to go to the front desk. I don't understand why they can't go around the front desk and get it for you. I think customer service at the desks needs some work. But the housekeeping service was really good.

Hotel was lovely. Staff was very courteous. We had a 2 BR/2B suite with a kitchen. Plenty of room for 5-6 people. Beautiful views and minutes from the beach. Access to several pools. The luah was cool...make sure you ask about it as it was not offered or talked about. We just stumbled upon it.

Exactly what you want out of a timeshare resort. The Grand Islander had impeccable service, all of their staff was friendly and helpful-- even the groundkeepers! We stayed in a 2BR 2Bath unit, and it was perfect for our needs. Our party had 5 people with one couple, so everyone slept comfortably. The unit had its own thermostat that you can control, and each room had a fan, which was very convenient for different sleeping preferences. The one bedroom had 2 double beds, and the living room came with a comfortable pull-out sofa, so everyone in our party was able to sleep comfortably. We also utilized the washer & dryer, and the smart tv's in the rooms too. I thought it was a cute touch that the tv's greeted me with my name when we first walked into our unit. Finally, we spent a lot of our time hanging out on the balcony with its gorgeous oceanfront views. As far as the resort itself is concerned, we love how the Hilton hotels are in their own village, because there is a bit of privacy, and you can also utilize the other hotels' amenities too. There are a lot of great activities, a lot of fun water activities, dining, and shopping. In addition, the Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a great selection of both dining and shopping options can meet the needs of every customer-- whether they want to splurge or stay on a budget. I thought the location of the Hilton Hawaiian Village was perfect, it was far enough from the main part of Waikiki so that it is quiet, but also close enough so that it is in walking distance. It's also on the beach, which is a great plus as well.

I guess maybe it is the same situation that many tourist need to visit Hawaii, not Hawaii needs them so that the service is so bad here. We needed help with setting up the sofa bed since it was old and dusty, but the staff said she could only give us sheets and not help us with the folding bed. The restroom lock is broken so that was a little bit annoying since our group has boys and girls. The wifi is so weak that we could barely watch a 3 minute YouTube video. Last but not least is the TV connection. It kept disconnecting every 4-5 minutes that we had to change device all the time. However, when we mentioned the above problems no one offered to help. I guess the good things about The Grand Island are the view and the elevator. Overall, I had a great time in Hawaii, but not in the Grand Island compared with the price I paid for. The hotel is not terribly bad, but I hope they can do better.

Everything was pretty good. The rooms we had were really clean and whatever request we had was answered and given to us. I just wished we stayed longer here. I wished parking, water, and maybe breakfast snacks were given within the price, but it is what it is. Pool was pretty nice as it was not as crowded because it was specific to the resort.

Please know we just spent 8 days at the Islander an please know this is the finest place in Hawaii. We traveled with friends and they stayed at a "Pink Hotel" and that place is now old and rundown so bad it needs to be closed and a 100% remodel. Hilton you guys have a gem with the Islander and we will spread the word. I am the GM of a major resort in Colorado and this place gets it right from start to finish. Please know in life you get what you pay for and this might be a few bucks more but if your a couple and want the best just book in here. Kevin and Leslie

Super kid friendly! They have their own separate pool do this hotel and my 1 year old son was able to play standing up running around! After the pool, the locker room/showers were large enough for me and my 4 kids to shower and wash up together! Towels provided etc! Love this place!

The manager was rude and smug. We were there for the Thanksgiving week and paid an expensive rate. While there they had a big water leak that flooded the lower lobby. They also did not supply any toiletries until the last night. The employee at the desk was like wow, I’m sorry we missed that and gave us a huge bag full. This was our last night. When I asked the manager about the lack of supplies she was very rude and smug. She could care less about you and your family. We went out and bought shampoo, conditioner, soap and laundry detergent. Manager stated they are a resort and not a hotel. (But they cleaned our room and replaced our towels and toilet paper daily) they also had maintenance in adding shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers. Was a 4.5 star stay but the manager absolutely ruined the property’s reputation

We had the most amazing 7 night stay at the grand islander, the only regret we have is not staying longer! The rooms are extremely spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. I’m super picky about cleanliness so this stood out. Housekeeping did a great job daily and left our room spotless. We had the most breathtaking view. The entire village is amazing, everything you need is right downstairs. Our entire trip to Hawaii was amazing and staying here played a big part in our fantastic trip. We will most definitely be back!

We had a great experience at the Grand Islander. Everyone was so friendly and helpful when we arrived. I called down to the front desk multiple times needing items and someone was up within 5 minutes with my request. The room was immaculate, and it was nice to have them come in half way through the week to provide cleaning. We will be staying everytime we go to Hawaii <3

After traveling for over 7hrs to get to the resort. The room I reserved (1bdrm w/ 2 full size beds for a reservation for 4 people, none of which were, a couple), was not available for me when I arrived. The staff that checked me in was indifferent to the circumstance and just merely offered "Sorry, we don't have anymore rooms with double beds available" as a consolation. I brought my cousin with me on this trip because she was considering purchasing at Hilton however, the treatment received was completely unacceptable and to say the least she was unimpressed. It took an hour and a great deal of persistence on my behalf to get the room I reserved. After waiting for over 45 minutes for the front desk staff and manger to search your system for a room and then tell me they don't have one. I stated that saying sorry was not acceptable. I needed a 1bdrm. w/ 2 double beds as I reserved. I frequently had to ask why I was waiting because once I stated that saying sorry was not sufficient and I needed a 1bdrm. w/ 2 double beds as I reserved. The staff moved to the other side of the lobby and just kept tapping & looking on a computer without a word with regards to what they were doing and for whom. I did not know if they were searching for something else or if they were trying to assist me. Their treatment was very dismissive & It became apparent that their avoidance was in hopes that I would just go away. At one point the manager even escorted me and my guest away from the desk to sit on the couch in the lobby, I felt like to just get me out of the way. Because, I had to ask for water & take initiative to walk back up to the desk after 15 minutes to request the status of a room. However, once I stated that I needed to either get the accomodations reserved, or be compensated as a HGV member for the inconvenience. The manager SUDDENLY finds the percise type of room I initially reserved. This was appalling to both me and my guest. We did not appreciate having to wait an hour for a room, be stressed out regarding the accommodations and most of all be treated with condescending behavior & remarks by the staff. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I wore a mask. Once finally being given the keys to a room, the manager comments "happy to see a smile on your face". First, I was not smiling and second, if I was smiling the mask would have prevented her from seeing it. The entire experience was unsettling and really started what was intended to be a relaxing Girls Trip on a very poor note. I have been a member with Hilton for a very long time and this is the 2nd time that I have been to the Grand Islander. Both of which have not been very pleasant experiences. I love the facilities but in both circumstances the staff has left me feeling very unhappy. In addition to my negative experiences, each time I've visited the Grand Islander their appeared to be many unsatisfied customers in the lobby complaining and they happen to all be African American. I have stayed in the Hawaiian Village many times (5) to be exact and I have never had any problems at any of the other locations but, the Grand Islander. I will not book there again, it just not worth the headache.

Upon checking in I requested a long time ago for a higher floor. Rosalinda kept telling me the higher floor is for our owners only. Well I'm a trial ownership she should not treat me that way. I came early to check in I've ask what floor will you put me in and she says I can't disclosed that information. After coming back in to claim my luggage bags the bellman did not offer me any luggage assistant back to my room which he was rude. Then the end of my checkout day requested for a Late C/O which the lady in the front desk was rude say we are fully Booked. Then coming to the front desk to get a copy of my invoiced I've noticed they charged me 2 extra parking nights which the employees should be extra careful for over charging guests. Because staying here in this resort is expensive, parking incidental fees ext... Also the parking garage which is across from the resort there key fab is not working for in and out privileges you have to get a ticket always coming in and to get out you have to press a button to connect with the parking valet person and speak with them to exit the parking, what a hassle my trip to this hotel is a nightmare. Overall the resort, pool and room was wonderful. Just the guest experienced with customer service here is horrible.

We recently stayed at this tower, and we had a 1 bedroom oceanfront. Our room has a full kitchen and living room with a sofa bed, washer, and dryer! I must say, this tower is much nicer and newer. We have visited the Grand Waikikian and Lagoon Tower before, but this tower exceeded my expectations. I love to hang out in their infinity pool. We came in early, and our room was available already. That's a plus. I am definitely coming back to this tower once we revisit Oahu Island, Mahalo!

This is the newest of the Hilton Grand Vacations hotels. Everything was updated. It was clean. Guest service was fast. The parking rate of $59 a night is really high but other than that it’s close to everything!

Rooms are beautifully appointed, and staff is exceptional. Had a small issue with room, but it was taken care of seriously and quickly. The mattresses are my only complaint. They were very uncomfortable. But everything else was great.

The islander is located in a great location. walking distance to everything. morning and evening walks on the beach path. very clean. the staff is friendly and caring. so much to do in the complex itself. the 2 bedroom penthouse on the 38th floor was awesome. the views are beautiful.

The vacation club is expensive but the location is awesome. Love the pool in the Grand Islander and never had to wait long for an elevator. Staff bends over backwards to take care of you. One disappointing thing was the info on the TV...not much there and no Hawaiian music available on it.

The rooms are beautiful, the view is amazing, and the beach is right there. The pools are spectacular, there are many shops to peruse. People are very friendly, On our first night we were searching for the front lobby and we didn't even have to ask someone. Someone just can't straight up to us to ask if we needed help. They also had beautiful fireworks on Friday evening Loved our experience.

Check-in was seamless, I worked with a gentleman whose name started with an L but can't remember. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Being able to text the front desk is super helpful and modern. The room was beautiful and the hotel was close to everything by walking! I can't wait for my next visit!

Stayed on the 33rd floor with a mountain view. The hotel was very clean and responsive when we had requests. Staff was amazing every time we interacted with them. Our suite felt very private and had 2 balconies (1 had a partial ocean view). Great bathroom, bedroom, and living area with full kitchen (that had plates, cups, utensils, and even a rice cooker). Did not want to leave

The Grand Islander is beautiful, and the accommodations are comfortable. We have stayed at the Grand Islander several times - in a 2 bed/2 bath unit, a couple of times in 1bed/1bath unit, and a couple of times in a 3 bed/3 bath penthouse unit. The staff has always been efficient and courteous, but in the penthouse lounge, the staff goes above and beyond to be attentive to the needs of their guests. Grand Islander has never disappointed.

This is a great tower as all rooms have a kitchen. This saved us a lot of money. There is also a private pool and hot tub that is not busy compared to the resort!

My 2 friends and I stayed here. The hotel was a prime location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shops. They have everything you need at this resort. This is top notch. Transportations services are very quick. Anything we needed was a text away. We needed some extra towels, coffee, and soap. They came to the room within 5 min. We had a partial ocean view, which was INCREDIBLE. I recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful resort. Location is great especially if you don’t have a car. I wouldn't bring children here hut saw families with their children in beach. Not really a child's resort in my opinion

As an HGV Owner, I highly recommend this facility. The quality of service is second to none. The views from this property are amazing, whether it's a mountain or ocean view. The staff members are excellent at what they do and really make the experience a home away from home. Aloha could definitely be felt throughout this property. Thank you HGV!

We stayed in a one bedroom unit. It was spacious and immaculately clean. Everything around the hotel is conveniently within walking distance: beach, convenience store, restaurants, parking, etc.

Had a great trip! Rooms and Ocean views were amazing. I love the location close to the beach access. We could listen to the music in the evenings coming from the Tapas bar below from our deck and close the door if we wanted peace and quiet. The rooms were very quiet for the most part. The pool was small but very nice here but there were tons of people from other resorts at this pool and it is supposed to be for Grand Islander guests only.

Overall had a great stay at the Grand Islander. Given the current pandemic situation some restaurants are still closed and those that are open with forced reduced capacity limits, finding a place to eat was difficult. The resort was running well for the most part and the staff was doing its best to provide the level of service expected at HGVC.
