Truly one of my favorite spots in Honolulu. Book bar seating (outdoor seating) for a slot an hour before sunset. Enjoy Hawaiian music and hula, along with great drinks. Free Valet parking is offered at the hotel.

This was our first stop for food in Hawaii and it was spectacular. We sat in their cocktails and pupus area and enjoyed live music and hula as the sun set. It was very idyllic and a great way to kick off our trip. The service was also beyond amazing- kind and had great recommendations.

We chose this restaurant because it's by the ocean. It's in the hotel and very clean with great service. We went there for dinner and we were seated at the "bar" which is the lawn area. The entertainment was out there and it was great. The three man band and hula dancer were performing. It felt very "Hawaii". The food was great, as everything else in Waikiki it's over priced and because of where we were sitting a very limited menu. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it for the ambiance. I believe the entertainment switches everyday. That day we had the honor of having Mr Aloha himself Danny Kaleikini in the audience and come up and sang two songs.

Amazing drinks and impeccable service. The reef and palm is my favorite. It's worth a visit just for the atmosphere. Sit out on the patio (cocktail lounge) for drinks at sunset. The live music is great and adds to the positive aura of the place. Love it

We had dinner here on our last day in the hotel. Great way to close out a great stay. Make sure to make a reservation. Spots are limited. Casual attire welcomed. Food was great, as was the service and live music. The missus recommends the drink The Sunset. Wasn't on the menu we were given but a server recommended it and she loved it. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

We came here for lunch on a recommendation. The fresh fish of the day was so good and prepared perfectly. The poke was also perfect. For drinks we had a Mai Tai and a mango mint freeze. Both were excellent. The outside dining was quiet and scenic. The staff was exceptional. A great experience!

The fish was so fresh and flavorful I savoured every bite. My husband declared the prime rib the best he's ever had. The coconut cake and key lime pie were exceptionally decadent without being overly sweet. The location is beautiful and perfect for sunset watching. Live music and hula dancing add to the ambiance. It's quite romantic.

This was a pre-dinner stop and I have to say it was just okay. I’d recommend it if you want an amazing sunset with live music and great photo opps otherwise I’d stick to a dinner spot with great drinks and food. Good for the sunset views- if you’re looking for awesome cocktails go next door to Lewers Lounge. Cocktails were great and love the vibe. Jazzy classier feel.

August was very busy so we had to reserve a spot a week in advance. Once you arrive you are seated depending on whether you want drinks & small bites or dinner. The musicians were entertaining and the garden overlooking the water is serene. Food is pretty and mostly tasty but the wings looked undercooked (beige) and the coconut shrimp were cold. Nice experience.

We did wait a while despite having a reservation but the staff at the front desk were professional and nice. We had the catch of the day and the short rib and both were actually great. The coconut shrimp was average though. Cocktails were nice. Live entertainment was fun and not too in your face. It's a fairly casual place and the prices are definitely high for the vibe, but I think everything is expensive in the area so not too bad comparatively.

House Without A Key is always one of our favourite places to grab bite and have a drink while enjoying the live entertainment. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the service is top notch. We haven't been back in a few years (pandemic) but I feel their revamped bar / outdoor menu, while improved, could have a few more offerings. But maybe that's what their dinner menu is for. Overall, a solid choice for dinner or sitting in the outdoor bar.

Absolutely the best. The food and our server Joe were absolutely amazing. The living band set such a joyful mood and being able to watch the beautiful sunset in the setting. Priceless. Highly highly recommend coming here. Went with my boyfriend and it was a very special evening for us

Fish tacos were delicious, octopus and tuna poke were good, and the fish burger was good as well. The drinks are also delicious. A little bit more expensive than Roy’s for example, but it's worth it. For breakfast gets very crowd, I would try to go for lunchtime around 2 pm when it is not so crowded and you can enjoy the view and peace.

Incredible upscale but relaxed dinner spot. We went without a reservation and were immediately accommodated. A beautiful restaurant and even more amazingly delish food. Just get one of everything. Loved the coconut cake

Within a five star hotel, so they really make you feel like you need to explain where you’ve come from if you are not a hotel guest. It was our last day, and we were leaving for the airport later that day, which is perhaps why we were asked if we had just come from a hike? and also which hotel we were staying in. Quite the interrogation before paying to get fed. I wondered if this inappropriate answer led to us being placed outside on the edge of the rainy terrace. Luckily, the food is very good and the service was attentive. Really enjoyed the fish tacos and the spicy marlin poke. Decided to also opt for something sweet, both the coconut cake, and the chocolate were divine. Great food, slightly snobby in Hawaii vibe -1.

Honestly I think the view and their live music show and the outstanding service are already worth it before even bringing the food into this review. But I do love my shrimp and octopus dish. Could use a bit less butter but overall delicious.

The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Very cool live music with an awesome stage backlit by a tree. Sunset was off the charts. Food was so so but service was excellent. Also $$$$ pricing for the food so be aware. But all in all a lovely evening.

Overall, very good experience. The hula and music were lovely, as well as the ambiance. I think our waiter was just very busy or something because other tables near us were definitely a bit better taken care of. I generally find it off-putting when I have to ask for a dessert menu rather than it being offered. Dessert is a crucial meal element. Overall the food was very good. We got the ribs which were amazing, as well as the local catch of the day which my boyfriend raved over. I got the margarhita pizza and while the crust was definitely inferior, the rest of the flavors were wonderful. The best part of the meal by far was the drinks and the bread service. This is the best bread service I've ever had. It's that good.

My family came here for my birthday. Delicious meal and great service. Ask for Jan as your server. The mai Thai is delicious and strong and food is cooked to perfection. I wasn't impressed with the coconut cake but the apple crisp was amazing. Hula dancer and band were great entertainment. Beautiful views. Expect to spend $300 for 4 people though.

Such a mixed bag at this place, I had hopes for an amazing Dinner but they fell short on the food!! Very, Very bland and nothing special for such a beautiful atmosphere! The price is over the top for the quality. I am willing to spend on great food but this was not. The band and hula dancer were amazing!! The sunset and the tree were amazing! I read the reviews before going and now I understand why there are the ups and downs.

Food was meh at best. Service was slow but it did allow time to enjoy the live music which was delightful. We wanted an upscale dinner got an overpriced and underwhelming food experience. We got the sea bass, rib eye and margarita pizza. Pizza reminded me of the old roller skating rink pizza we had as kids topped with some sparingly placed decent mozzarella cheese . The veggies for the steak were very greasy. We had to ask for rolls and they were cold as was the butter. Overall will not be back. Save your money and hit up some smaller local restaurants. See my other reviews for two great recommendations.

We walked in to this restaurant on a Wednesday late morning for some early lunch. It was just convenient since it’s located at the hotel we were staying, Halekulani Hotel. The restaurant quickly filled up during lunch time. Nice atmosphere, good food and good service. The coconut cake was delicious. The best time to dine at this restaurant is actually in the evening. It is very popular and happening for sunset meals, cocktails and live Hawaiian entertainment. We watched some part of it from our balcony one night and also while dining at the other restaurant in the hotel.

Great vibes and cocktails here at this beach facing bar and restaurant. We came here at sunset to try their famous Mai Thai, but it was very busy - the bar was full and there was a 30 minute wait for a table. However, we could order some drinks and sit in the waiting area and watch the sunset and enjoy the live music whilst we waited to be seated. The cocktails were expensive but strong and delicious. We also tried their famous coconut cake which was like eating clouds. It was so light and fluffy and delicious, a must try at this hotel.

Stunning view!! This was the perfect way to start our Hawaii trip! We got there about 5:30 pm and it want crowded at all. We had so much fun watching the live entertainment and watching the sunset! The food was good, but it wasn’t amazing and it should have been for a more upscale dinner. I would recommend doing cocktail hour here and skipping the dinner. Perfect atmosphere, though, so if you wanna splurge a bit, go for it. :D

We got breakfast buffet for the family. A bit pricey, $45 per adult and $25 for kids. They served half cups of coffee and took 30 minutes to refill :/ Food is tasty and good quality. 20 minute wait. Nice location!

Upscale restaurant in Wikiki area. Loved the ambiance. They have live singing and dancing by the beach. Loved the vibe totally. Food was great as well. We ordered Hibachi Chicken and pizza that tasted delicious. They offer complimentary breads that were great too. Not to forget their coconut cake that was totally incredible. It's a must try if you're coming here for dine in. Their staff is very friendly. Will definitely be back here soon.

I had the pleasure of having lunch here today. I’ll begin by saying that the staff was fantastic. Not only in the restaurant but everywhere we went throughout the hotel. The Halekulani embodies aloha spirit. The staff in the House and Key were extremely attentive and friendly. We shared the loaded fries (I forgot the actual name for them) appetizer. They were unique and delicious. I had the crab sandwich and salad. The crab sandwich was LOADED with king crab! It was accompanied by avocado and bacon. What a trio! It’s was amazing. The atmosphere is clean and bright, and the view is iconic. This place is 10/10.

Best coconut shrimp and ahi poke in Waikiki. We decided to dine here on our last night in Waikiki and it was a very memorable evening. The Hula and music performance was great, the restaurant was bustling with tourists and locals alike. Despite the full house, the service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Make sure to call and reserve before heading there or you might have to wait a while.

Our first dinner in Hawaii and it didn’t disappoint!! Love the outdoor-ish dining, provides the indoor shelter with a nice breeze. Live music goes on til 8:30. We ordered all fish dishes and loved them all. We just wished portions were bigger 😂 Service was great, free bread was also amazing haha.

Everything was perfect in House without a Key. From the views, live music/entertainment, service, and food--they sure know what they're doing. Make sure to make reservations a few days/weeks ahead! Our server Ian, was great! He gave recommendations and was so attentive to us, he made our night. He even surprised us with a coconut vanilla cake to cap off the evening as we were celebrating our honeymoon/birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had the grilled hamachi jaw, beef wrapped in salad, and the fresh catch of the day. Would definitely come back again!

Fantastic view and great to take in the sunset in the evenings. The live performances are a nice feature. Good service overall and be sure to try the amazing Steamed Onaga and the divine coconut cake. Both are absolutely delicious. Drinks are nicely done here as well. Highly recommended.

Great experience of Waikiki. I've lived here for 8 years and have never been here before. Excellent drinks, although I wouldn't say they have a stellar pupu menu. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially if you get to see the sunset. This is an upscale hotel so expect the pricing to coincide.

Beautiful hotel located in Waikiki. I was only there for a wedding but I can attest to its reputation as a wonderful place for gatherings. Outside there is all the hustle and bustle of the city. But once you enter one is greeted with tranquility. Beachfront with small green spaces. We were in a intimate reception hall (about 50 guests). The ceremony was held on a terrace ajacent to the room. It overlooked the beach and swimming pool. Service was top notch and the food was very good.

Fabulous dining experience. Excellent food (the poke was phenomenal) and lovely entertainment (Hawaiian music by a 4 piece live band and hula dancing). Plus, the view can't be beat. Expensive, but you are also paying for the location and the experience.
