Located in Salt, Kakaako this is the best hot dog restaurant in the State! Featured on The Food network's Guy Fiery's Diners and Dives. Casual restaurant with fancy items like Duck Foie Gras to Authentic Chicago Hot dogs, which rival Super Dog (in Chicago).! They use a poppy seed bun, Vienna all beef hot dogs, green relish, celery pepper, mustard, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños peppers! Aside from the size and taste, Hank's Chicago dog is just as delicious as Super Dog. Be sure to order their natural cut French fies with choice of gourmet sauces (garlic aioli or curry ketchup). Try their specials, such as the lobster hot dog or their duck foie gras dog.

❤️! Had classic Chicago dog—grilled no sport peppers and onion rings and they were great! Haven’t seen a whole lot of hot dog places on the Island, but this is definitely a great place to get one. They have a lot of delicious sounding choices so you can’t go wrong. Hibiscus lemonade was really good too—not too sweet.

We had the chili dogs and fries it was the best hotdog I think I have ever had. I just hate it took me 3 years to find this place. The fries were the perfect texture and were soft inside and they were now over salted. The hotdogs were perfect with great chili and cheese a must ty in Honolulu.

The quality has been compromised. When they first opened it was a brilliant idea, using unusual meats to make a haute dog. Last time I was here was couple of yrs ago. Still good. This time I ordered the Chicago. First bite the bun broke, a little stale. The Hank's dog, I could make a better one at home. Lots of people coming to try, bcz of a write up. So, it is on the map. Lime soda still good. Outside dining is clean and cool with the bar across the sidewalk blasting music. Luckily I enjoyed it, funk/r&b mix. Where's the New York dog? Wed is not a good time for special dog. I'll try again, maybe a Monday or Tuesday. Try making taro fries, use dry land taro. Utilize the Hawaiian farmer. Buy local, use better buns, haute buns. Lobster dog is mushy, maybe to simulate the lobster but dogs should have a snap or it's just seafood in the shape of a hot dog. Taste was there.

I found this treasure on an episode of Somebody Feed Phil (Netflix) and was excited to try their food. I ordered the chicken dog with truffle cheese fries and garlic aioli on the side. Everything was delicious.

I applaud the effort and inventive menu. Our dogs were good but the buns were so basic. My bun fell apart before I could even pick it up and half of it felt stale. And I opened it up within 2 minutes of receiving. Good service though. Fries were good and the cheese sauce was tasty. It’s fine but don’t expect the world.

We found this place on accident on our trip to Oahu. It's on triple D, you foodies know what I'm talking about and know Guy knows what's up!! My burger was amazing. My wife got one of their Chicken haute dogs and loved it! She also LOVED the white truffled mac n cheese. It was soooooo good!! The PINEAPPLE ICE... we ordered one. While waiting for your order. I went back and ordered a second one for my wife. WAY better than any Dole Whips we had hands down!! A must get on any day to cool down!! Mahalo Hank

An eclectic hot dog place to be sure. Pretty hipster in terms of their offerings and style, and definitely so in terms of the price. Their menu has a lot of interesting sausage meat and topping options, as well as burgers and mac and cheese. I went with the Currywurst and Lobster dog, with pommes frites on the side. The fries were good, but expensive for the amount you get. The Currywurst was messy but great tasting and frankly the only reason that this review did not go below 3 stars. The Lobster dog was disappointing. The sausage only had a vaguely seafood-ish taste, but a mushy texture that wasn't very pleasant to eat. The toppings of aioli, lettuce, tomato, and takuan didn't really enhance the experience either. At $14, it definitely had the biggest disparity between price and quality. In total my meal was $32 and I left feeling neither full nor satisfied. All in all it's good if you're craving something different. Just be warned that it's expensive, and in the case of the Lobster dog, pricier doesn't necessarily mean better.

There was a fantastic selection of hot dogs available. I had the Hawaiian Hot Dog. I’d visit Hank’s Haute Dogs again! Their kids meals were reasonably priced.

I absolutely love Hank's! It is an amazing hotdog spot and never fails to impress me. The diverse menu offers a range of unique hot dogs, including a tasty vegan option. The amazing fries complement the meal perfectly. (and you need a pineapple slushy). The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-try for any hotdog enthusiast.

Gourmet hot dogs that hit the spot! Highly recommended. I had the Hawaiian Dog Combo (beef dog with pineapple relish - fabulous!) & garlic aioli dipping sauce for the fries. My wife had the Tuesday Special: Greek Dog (lamb sausage with gyro fixings that was fantastic) & ranch dipping sauce. The dogs were perfect, delicious, & so tasty! Buns were exactly right. Fries were fresh & crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The dipping sauces made the fries zing. They also had some very interesting burgers that I’d like to try on my next visit. We came here because this place was on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives in 2010. Guy F would be pleased to know this place is still kickin’ it 13 years later. You have got to try this place!

Excellent food! This place reminded me a lot like Gene and Jude's by O'Hare airport. They have all the shirts from Iconic Chicago dog stands hanging up.

We stopped by on a busy weekend for lunch. The wait wasn't long, maybe 5 minutes. I ordered a Hank's frank. After hearing about this place from popular TV shows, I was expecting to be blown away. It's a hot dog. There's nothing special about it. The real showstopper is the French fries & the sauce. Now those are perfection! The atmosphere was laid back, all the staff were nice, & I loved the seating outside. It was secluded enough to relax, but still open to enjoy the people watching.

We had a lazy day in the hotel and were craving hot dogs and found Hank's on Uber Eats. It hit the spot! We ordered the chili dog, Hawaiian dog, and the Currywurst. All of them delicious. We are big Currywurst fans and Hanks NAILED it; very good! Tasty truffle cheese fries, hibiscus lemonade, and the pineapple ice, UGH! This place: *chef's kiss* We will likely order again before we fly home.

Delicious hot dogs! I usually get a Chicago dog, but they have all types of options. The pineapple ice is such a nice treat for a hot day.

Half of me wants to move away from my neighborhood because hanks is responsible for 50% of my poor food choices. I should be eating clean, non-fried foods with extra vegetables... but the Nashville hot chicken from Hank's is irresistible. The spice, crunch, pickles, bun, mayo, and magic sauce they dip the chicken in is too good to not order. It's an addiction. People go crazy over the popeys chicken. Nah man, Hank's is where it's at and that's that. I used to get whatever looked good, but now I am an exclusive hot chicken addict and I don't see that trend wavering any time soon. I may have gained 10 lbs since the pandemic began, but it's worth it for this chicken sandwich that most likely has an addictive substance fried into it. It's not fancy, but it's DELICIOUS.

Great concept | Bad execution Poor management. Something seemed off with the older gentleman who works there. Didn’t care for how he spoke to the staff and his body language did not appear inviting. Even less inviting are the two signs reading “please have your order ready” That one left my scratching my head. As a tourist destination type place, it’s more than likely a large percentage of customers are first-timers, as it was mine. How are we suppose to know what to order before you approach to look at the menu. As customers went to order I noticed no assistance was offered. Pretty much figure out the minute and order yourself. Just weird. This is a very cool spot with lots of potential. Management makes a huge difference for the customer’s experience. I’ve been to places more than once simply because the experience was great. Will not be back at this place and my seafood hotdog had decent flavor but like warm. I do not recommend.

The food was great! Who would to think to put lettuce and tomato on a hot dog. The wife and I got the “Fat Boy”. The pictures tell the story. I will caution you though, the sitting area is small and it is a challenge to find parking. Overall, I would definitely come back.

Efficient, friendly, great Polish. Onions perfectly sautéed. Comes with nice box in case you’re taking it away. Won’t get smashed or spill.

Really good hot dogs. The place is located in a plaza with a lot of restaurants and places to eat outdoors. Hank's is located in the back. The fries were nice and fresh. We got the ranch furikake dipping sauce too which was tasty. Parking is free for the first hour but then you have to pay after that in the lot.

Loved these hot dogs! We found Hank's after a busy morning of sight seeing and this was the perfect place to have lunch and rest in their shaded outdoor seating area. I really enjoyed my hot dog, perfect amount of toppings and our order came out quickly. Liked their canned craft beer selection as well. It's in a great area very close to Honolulu Beerworks.

We got a hot dog and it was tiny and$13, I thought it was pricey but there I ate it, so good, it worth it! The bun is so soft, and the sausage was pretty thick and juicy. I like the box style, so cute.
