Great tiki bar! If you are going in 2021, make reservations online, several walk- ins were turned away as we checked in. The patio is beautiful, but I loved sitting inside and checking out all of the decor. The Dagger Mai Tai was delicious, and strong. Get a Skull& Crown to share if you'd like the full, dramatic, tiki experience.

Love this upscale tiki bar. It’s a treasure I don’t want to share - already too hard to get a table! Drinks are well made and inventive for people who are looking for a step above the sickly sweet tourist mai tai. The ambiance is curated perfectly - more upscale tiki than kitschy - and a perfect backdrop for a romantic date or an evening out with your besties.

A Tiki Bar with swagger best describes Skull & Crown. A wonderful bar/restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. Sage & Monica took care of us, both friendly and informative. I was told food was good here, but tbh found it mediocre at best, however the Tiki drinks are life-changing! So delicious if you appreciate well crafted drinks that are IG worthy! Cocktails are pricey at $15–$20 each, but hey was it good? Hella BOMB! Get a couple and share a plate of the mediocre food. :D Cheers!

Great spot! The cocktails are carefully crafted and the taste is balanced perfectly. Definitely try the stuffed chicken wings. They are delicious!

I love visiting tiki bars especially ones that are kind of dark and dingy(looking). The food was good and the drinks were better. Great ambiance and the server was super friendly. If I ever make it back to Hawaii I will visit again.

Not only the drinks are amazing and very original - not your everyday tiki drink - but the staff is also the best. We've been there twice now, and been greeted by different people, had different bartenders, and all have been absolutely exceptional. Also got lucky to get a show on Saturday night with a pianist and singer who were also adding to the unbelievable charm of this place. The decor is thoughtfully done, and sitting at the bar gives you the perfect view onto the drink making art! HIGHLY recommend!

UPDATE: Under new leadership and staff. Excellent service and top level drinks. The food was off the hook as well. Given the massive turnaround in staff and service, I highly recommend. Cancel this Review… Terribly run establishment. They continue to accept reservations and yet constantly cancel them at the last second. I had a reservation for this evening for myself and visitors. I’ve had the reservation for weeks. The reservation is for 2 hrs from now and I just received a text from them canceling. This is the second straight time in 2 months they’ve done this. Hard to see a business continue when run in such a shoddy manner.

Great atmosphere, but make reservations because you’ll most likely get turned away without. I had the Bird of Paradise, highly recommend it! Definitely a place you’ll want to take all your visitors to. Servers and bartenders are always great.

The MOST amazing place on the island if you like Tiki bars, or just any place magical! The difference between this tiki bar and other well- known establishment La Mariana Sailing Club is that Skull and Crown have super premium craft cocktails and there's simply no comparison regarding the quality of the cocktails and presentation. Go to La Mariana for the history and go to Skull and Crown to taste truly amazing craft cocktails with fresh juices, floral garnishes, mints and even fire to top it off, depending on what you order! The decor is spectacular and there's nothing spared, no white ceilings, no cut-corners to this place that is a magical oasis in the heart of Honolulu on Hotel street! You can park at any municipal parking lot, on the street (away from Hotel) or paid lots. Dress code is super casual, not fancy at all. Small place, so don't expect a huge bar of sorts, but this small place packs a million-dollar punch with its decor and service and the best tasting cocktails on the island. I will return again to try every single drink on the menu, that is a promise!

Amazing ambiance, excellent drinks, and outstanding food. The skull cocktail is enough for 2 people to share. The ribs were to die for, shrimp grilled cheese is an absolute must, sticky rice also excellent. Closes at 11pm, from the outdoor seatings, enter Obake bar back door to keep the party going!

Loved this place! It was so pretty & relaxing & just what we needed on our girl’s/sister/niece trip. We had so much fun & it will always be a great memory for us! Our waitress was Monica & she was beyond awesome!! 🤙I can’t say enough good things about her. She fit right in with us Snow(our family name)girls! Sending Monica a huge Mahalo! Aloha🌺🤙

Best tiki bar and lounge in Oahu. The neighborhood was bit sketchy but once you step in the vibe was very very classy. I got the Skull cocktail which was tasty and boozy. The chicken Satay was the best I ever had. The sauce on the Satay was chop stick licking good.

Worth a visit! Great tiki drinks. I loved the cup they give you for water. It's a heavy copper style cup that keeps your water cold. I enjoyed the zombie (not shown), and the firecracker drinks. The zombie comes with a cinnamon stick that's smoking. The firecracker had a little spicy with sweet flavor profile. They do have non alcoholic tiki style drinks as well.

We enjoyed their pop up at the Royal Hawaiian Marketplace, so we sought them out at their tiki bar. The tiki drinks are the best on the island! Not kidding. This is a must do for anyone who loves tiki and craft cocktails, in a unique environment that is fabulous! Sage, the bartender, was phenomenal at creating each drink, from mixing the ingredients, to inserting the decorative flowers, leaves and burning cinnamon sticks. The food was great too. We had the Nacho Rangood, S&C Noodles and Not Upside-down Pineapple Cake. Highly recommend reservations. They also have a patio.

We just stopped in for a quick peek as we had never been and were curious about this tiki bar. Super cute spot with a lot of history. Chris and Sage are super friendly and made us feel so comfortable. We ended up sitting at the bar and taking a quick shot before leaving. Can't wait to visit again and try their cocktails!

It’s a MUST if you are visiting Oahu! I have so much respect for the owner and designer who created such an immersive, themed, and unique tiki space. The cocktails are all amazing but please try their signature skull and crown rum cocktail. It’s amazing and strong. I’m definitely coming again.

Big fan of tiki cocktails! The attention to detail in this place is fabulous, my bartender Sage was great and guide me through the cocktails list and suggested some favorites, I can’t wait to go back to try more!

Their cocktails/mock tails were excellent! The server was so kind and nice. (Tall dude with curly hair and a cool accent but can’t recall his name) He asked what flavor profiles we like for drinks and nailed some perfect drinks for us. They took the time to explain each of our foods. Such a good experience overall. A completely new flavor experience for us and loved every second of it! We will be back. Making reservations was easy online. It wasn’t crowded or too busy. The decor was so fun to look at and the vibe was perfect. We loved the skulls all around and the heads inside the jars. They were very respectful of our vegan diets and even asked during the reservations about restrictions. They made sure to tell us that the tornado potatoes were cooked in the same oil as their meats. So very kind and thoughtful to make us aware before ordering. Great experience!!

We had the best time here! Excellent drinks, super friendly service. We ordered the Sticky Rice Purse, which was amazing, the potato tornado, which was good, and the dessert, which is called Torrijas. It’s like an elevated bread pudding and SO unique and delicious! Thanks also to our bartender Beau, who was so kind and fun to chat with. Highly recommend!

So fun!! The interior is such a delightful gem, but in covid of course the patio is much more important! They've converted a really decent sized area in the back into cute tables, with tents overhead in case it rains. The space is shared with the restaurant next to them, so it also smells really delicious while you have your drinks. And the drinks are amazing!

Great drinks and waitstaff! The place has wonderful outdoor seating and while the inside is amazing, the AC has been broken for years. It's too hot to be comfortable and gave my wife a throbbing headache. I do not know how the staff deals with it.

What a phenomenal place. They are doing a really good job and it shows. It’s an experience but it’s not gimmicky because they actually make amazing cocktails that you won’t find anywhere else. Staff is amazing!

Wonderful drinks, friendly staff and good eats. We are seeking a Tiki lounge and Skull and Crown ticked all of the boxes. Cool environment with a very fun vibe, nice old style mix of Hawaiian music, periodic volcano sounds and a pretty garden. Tiki bar is the place to sit in my opinion. We had MaiTais and a mix of vegan and non vegan foods. All items were fast and tasty. Loved the whole experience

Got to be one of the best meals we have had in Hawaii! We thought we had booked but there was an issue with the booking but that didn't stop the waitress finding us a table. Drinks were excellent, food was absolutely amazing! The vibe was cool and the tiki theme was awesome. Bought a bit of the merchandise they had as well as a momento. Great place I'd you're looking for a good tiki vibe with all the extras that go with a great bar and restaurant.

So fun! Really knowledgeable and friendly bartender, such a great vibe. Great date spot, amazing drinks from sweet and fruity to more spirit forward.

Food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks. They had a live artist playing which was so nice. But the reason I give it 4 stars is because the service kind of sucked.. it felt like we were invisible for about 20 minutes and same off and on after that. 🤷‍♀️ still would totally recommend to my friends and family!!

This place is absolutely amazing - the creepy, weird haunted Honolulu tiki bar of your dreams. The bar has an almost interactive feel - with everything from decor to flickering lights and music. The bartenders and staff were wonderful, answering our questions as we hung out at the bar and doing their best to accommodate our party despite the new covid restrictions. We came here twice in a row before we left and I guarantee we will be back. Wonderful!

Wonderfully themed, fun place with great drinks. Staff is quite friendly and helpful, and the prices are actually pretty good. Note that the current pictures of the menu in reviews are not accurate. Reservation is highly encouraged as this is not a big place and can fill up fast.
