There always is a long line but it moves. It’s worth the wait. Pastries are so fresh and flavorful. I had Kona cold brew and it was great. The portions are smaller for the price but it’s Waikiki. Outdoor seating facing street was maybe for 8-10 people at most and attracted many pigeons and sparrows. There also is a large table seating in the mall side for those who are scared of birds flying to snatch your pastries. Lol

Line up is long, but worth the wait if you plan on getting more items than just for your own consumption. My wife and I got an assortment of pastries to share with family. To me, the pastries were better than the coffee. They were excellent even when compared to great bakeries back on the mainland. I've had good Kona coffee before and the coffee here isn't significantly better or worse, so don't bother unless you get pastries. Don't get me wrong; the coffee is excellent. Not sure if a single cup of coffee is worth the line up. But if you do just a cup of coffee, here's a pro tip: line up here and also order online for the noodle place across the street at the same time. Once you're done here, go across the street and pick up your order where all the delivery guys pick up. You'll avoid 2 line ups, get a great Kona coffee, and you'll get a delicious take out lunch.

Kona Coffee is a must visit spot for any coffee lover. I’m from Portland OR where we have good coffee shops on every corner so it was nice to have some high quality coffee while on vacation. The pastry’s were delicious especially the ham and cheese croissant. The goal on this trip is to try every pastry they offer because so far everything has been 10/10.

Saw this long line of people as I was walking down the street at 7am and figured how bad could the place be? Well it turns out pretty good is the answer. Never had Kona coffee before (I rarely drink coffee). It’s very, very good. Their pastries are also quite good. Had a chocolate croissant, regular croissant and a larger chocolate chip cookie. Best and most unhealthy breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

One of the best coffee roasters in town. They have a collaboration with b.pattiserie from San Francisco. The coffee beans are sourced directly from farmers in Hawaii, so expect to pay premium prices especially for Kona coffee. They have a coffee tasting bar where you can try all the varietals before you commit to paying for their beans. Really great addition. Only giving it 4 stars because the lineup in the morning is ridiculously long. Probably better to go during the day.

Today I made it visit this famous coffee bakery. The pastry was amazing probably the best scones and original flavor croissants I've ever had not only in Hawaii. Very crispy and light...Really good tho pricey. The coffee is nice too even tho not that outstanding as expected but the pastry wins all!

Customer service: 10/10 Value for money 8/10 Quality of experience 7/10 Second visit: The second visit we tried some better options. The crossant or other cheese option is very recommended. Still don't recommend the coffee. First visit: This place is overrated and the wait was ridiculous, but the staffs are very kind and energetic. I will comment on the food options we tried: The coffee iced latte is way too creamy while the cold brew is simply too acidic. The croissants were delicious: pineapple coconut was well done! However, the black sesame is just too greasy: you see the a puddle of it in the baked good. Everybody can make power food with sweet for people to like them. It takes an effort to bake with less caloric budget but a good taste. The worst is the scone. Scone is bone dry, over-baked and without flavor. One cannot clearly taste the cheddar or bacon, makes one wonder, why am I eating a piece of greasy cake? The customer service is good. Despite the business being very busy, you still see smiles from the staff. This alone warrants + two stars.

You have to try this place! The coffee is so good and the bakery is so tasty, not sweet not greedy. But really tasteful with many choices. Pineapple croissant is definitely a must try! Very Hawaiian special

The line is worth it. Use the time to decide what pastries and coffee you’re going to get. Every pastry we got was delicious and we tried 8! From the croissant to the Kouign Amman. Worth every minute. I ordered an iced honey oat latte as well and was pleasantly surprised. After we ordered we received the pastries right away and then the coffee very quickly after.

This Kona Coffee location with the patisserie is outstanding! The pastries are amazing, and if you like Hawaiian coffee they do a terrific job. They have a small selection of really good sandwiches from 10am-2pm. The lines were always long but the staff were pleasant and efficient.

Long line (about 10am) that took us about 45 minutes to get through to the counter, but it was well worth the wait. They roast their own Kona coffee which is delicious--if you like the flavor of coffee (it's more distinct than most coffees I've had). I went for the Espresso Tonic, which was super tasty. Their pastries are incredible and worth waiting in line for, even if you don't drink coffee. We got a wide assortment (everything sounded good) and enjoyed each one. There's also a retail wall where you can buy whole coffee, brewers, and more. We tasted a couple of their roasts and left with beans to take home.

It's a really long wait. I got there before 7 and still waited around 45 minutes just to get some pasties. They were all really delicious! But not sure it was worth the price or the wait. The banana chocolate croissant, blueberry muffin and the flan tart were my favourite.

I'm not a big fan of coffee, so I don't know much about beverages here. However, the Viennoiserie section at James Beard b. patisserie is excellent. The Kouign Amann, various croissants, all incredibly delicious— I visited every day during my stay in Waikiki. The pastries are top-notch!

Good tasting coffee and delicious decedent pastries 😋 Line is out the door so you know it's good! I will admit prices are a bit higher than I prefer to pay for coffee and pastries but definitely appropriate for the "high end" high quality food. Staff was friendly and helpful and reminded me to get a validation for parking- thanks! Honey Iced Latte is on the sweeter side, Vanilla Iced Latte is not as sweet. Recommend adding the Kona 100% espresso for the kick you need to start the day. Croissants are flaky and tasty, girls had the chocolate Kouign, I had Pineapple Coconut almond croissant (BEST!!)

Amazing pastries all fresh baked at this location. Best bakery we found in Honolulu and highly recommend this place. The line is usually long but we found that it moves fast and is well worth the wait. The ham and cheese croissant was so cheesy and delicious and the chocolate chip cookie was out of this world. This place is a can't miss restaurant for breakfast.

Overall: Definitely go here. Is it the best coffee around? Probably not. The espresso was slightly over-extracted and their were visible grounds in the cup upon completion. The cold-brew, however, was well-made. It was bright with a medium body. My partner grabbed an iced vanilla latte which was just sweet enough! The real star of the show, however, are their pastries. Specifically the Kouign Amann. We tried the original Kouign Amann, the seasonal (strawberry) and the black sesame. All three were amazing. Hands down the best pastry I’ve had in a very long time. They were flaky and soft with a sweet and buttery nectar in the center. You need to have one. We also tried the cheese & ham croissant. It was mediocre and not worth the price ($7.50). Additionally, everything here was expensive: Espresso was $4.50 for a double shot - add $1 for the 100% Kona coffee espresso blend); iced coffee was $5.50 for the 12 oz; the latte was roughly $6; and the pastries were easily $5 and up. Moreover, the staff was super helpful. I had a lovely employee help me choose some whole bean coffee to bring back home. I did not get her name but she was very kind and patient with me while she generously let me sample their coffees. You should definitely go here. It’s worth the wait.

We live across the Street. The Latte is my favorite. My Wife's orders afogato every single time. Long & short wait time. It varies. But, it's worth it! Try the pastries too. Really good!

Try everything pastry. So delicious that you will keep wanting another bite! The cold brew and lattes are tasty as well. If you love coffee and want a good one worth the wait! Get their early before opening or late morning to avoid the long lines. Friendly, fast, and courteous service!

The lines are LONG! However, it is worth the wait. I ordered a banana chocolate croissant as well as an iced vanilla latte. Must mention that if you want your coffee to be done with Kona coffee you must pay $1 extra. Overall, great experience. Definitely recommend!

The line is very long in the morning, if you just want to try the coffee, go afternoon instead of the morning rush. Maybe I am not that great at the coffee tasting, their nitro cold brew is not much different than Starbucks'. Overall experience is good, will return to try the different drink and their pastry.

Coffee is good but for all that wait? Not sure. Visited early in the morning still took 30 min to get two cups of coffee and two pastries. If not such long wait, it’s a good place to go. The award winning pastry was good. Quite crispy (butter) and black sesame paste was not too sweet. The whole bean prices are quite high vaguely remembering them being $35-45.

The pastries are great! The Kouign amann was amazing. We got the seasonal fruits one, and it was crispy and flavorful. The tartness of the fruits balanced out the greasiness perfectly.

WOW! Some of the best coffee we’ve had in our travels. There will more than likely be a long line, but if you’re looking for good coffee, from drip to lattes or cortados. This is worth the wait! Play tag team and have someone wait in line while you go walk around the shops. The pastries were also perfection. I opted for the gluten free option of almond cake which paired perfectly with black coffee. Hubs went for a cinnamon roll and cortado… “no wonder the line was so long, worth it!”

Visiting Kona Coffee Purveyors was top of my list because I knew they partner with b patisserie which is my favorite place in San Francisco. They did not disappoint. This little shop in the International Market Hall is like a little slice of SF mixed with Hawaii. The vibes are immaculate and the food/coffee is to die for. For starters, the Kona red bourbon drip coffee they serve here was so smooth and tasty that I wish I bought more. The star of the show is definitely all the pastries and food though to complement the coffee. During lunch hours you can order flatbreads on sourdough (very SF) so I got the hand and cheese which was out of this world. Pastry wise, the Kouign-amann is always delicious and the seasonal flavor that week was cranberry apple. The macadamia nut croissant was also tasty but the best one in my opinion was the lilikoi bostock which had all the delicious buttery, fruity flavors. So glad this shop opened near Waikiki, it’s the best!

Finally a great coffee place in Honolulu! We live in the Big Island, and we know coffee... Kona coffee , hello! The lattes were simply perfect, and the pastries, from b patisserie are delightful.. we had the lillkio cheesecake and a chocolate chip cookie. Lines can be long at busy times... But it's worth it.

This place is great! We got a lot of stuff: A Kona coffee, a pastry (I think it was guava, passionfruit, and lychee?), an iced tea, and 2 bags of coffee beans. The coffee was good (and the beans make good coffee too), and the pastry was fantastic. It was very crunchy and very sweet/savory! The service was great as well.

We got here around 8 am and the line was out the door and all the way to the Hilton Vacations timeshare desk. Definitely be prepared for a wait. We did walk by closer to lunch time, and it was much shorter, so if you aren’t interested in the pastries it might be worth coming much later in the morning or for lunch. We loved every pastry that we got, and our coffees were also delightful. A bit on the pricier side, but the quality definitely met the pricing. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Overall, I would absolutely come here again if I woke up early enough to beat the line.
