While on a day trip around the island we saw a mother Monk Seal and her pup on the beach nearby so we had to visit this fountain and beautiful view of Diamondhead. The park adjoining is amazing and with so many different activities going on it was fun as heck and a sight to see with so many friendly people.

Beautiful park on the south west side of Oahu. It has a wonderful space and lots of trees. Cost to park is only $0.25 for 30mins. Pretty reasonable to me but only accepts coins, no cards.

Apperantly the fountain seems to be on only at night, which is understandable, and the lighting makes it an experience from anywhere 360° of the fountain

Too bad for me, the fountain was dry when I looked at it. However, I can imagine it, especially at night.

It's a pretty, big, circular fountain located across from Kapi'olani Park. Good meeting place, great for photos especially as you can get Diamond Head in the background. It's also in a nice, quiet part of Waikiki which makes it a relaxing spot to hang out before joining the beach and shopping throngs along Kalakaua Avenue.

The fountain provides a great backdrop of wedding photos. Almost any time of day, you can see a couple dressed in wedding clothes nearby having their photo taken as part of a commercial wedding package. Most of the couples are Japanese, as coming to Honolulu for a wedding is actually cheaper and easy to manage than the typical Japanese wedding event inside Japan. The fountain also makes a great site for a photograph because Diamond Head peak can be seen in the background.
